Abstract

This design and development research was motivated by the rapid expansion and use of GeoGebra by mathematics educators (teachers and lecturers) in Indonesia. One of GeoGebra features is GeoGebra Applet that can be used, modified, and/or developed by educators for dynamic and interactive mathematics teaching and learning. At the time of research project, there is no GeoGebra Applets closely linked and aligned to the Indonesia national curriculum. The availability would be benefit for mathematics teaching and learning aligned to this curriculum. This research proceeds through seven steps of the Need, Capability, and Analysis (NCA) Model of Design and Development: 1) User Need Analysis; 2) Researcher as Developer Capability; 3) GeoGebra Applets Design; 4) GeoGebra Applets Development; 5) Experts Judgements; 6) Field testing in its Natural Setting Environment; and 7) the Prototype. The field testing was conducted with 8th grade students in a junior high school. The field testing shows that the developed Quadrilateral GeoGebra Applets can work as expected in its purposed natural setting environment.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.22342/jme.9.1.4162.27-40

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses mengembangkan media pembelajaran menggunakan software GeoGebra dengan pendekatan scientific pada materi prisma dan limas di tingkat SMP dan efektivitas dari hasil pengembangan media pembelajaran tersebut. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Islam Al Azhar 11 Serang tahun pelajaran 2018/2019 dengan sampel siswa kelas VIII. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development). Hasil penelitian ini adalah: 1) Proses pengembangan media pembelajaran merujuk pada 10 tahapan Borg dan Gall, yaitu: a) penelitian pendahuluan dengan melakukan analisis kebutuhan guru dan siswa, b) perencanaan dengan membuat Garis Besar Isi Media (GBIM), Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP), Lembar Aktivitas Siswa (LAS), dan instrumen tes, c) mengembangkan produk berdasarkan GBIM yang telah dibuat, d) uji coba lapangan awal kepada 3 ahli materi dengan persentase nilai 94,05% (sangat baik) dan 3 ahli media dengan persentase nilai 88,10% (sangat baik), e) revisi produk utama, f) uji coba lapangan utama kepada 9 orang siswa dengan persentase nilai 82,04% (sangat baik), g) revisi produk operasional, h) uji lapangan operasional kepada dengan persentase nilai 82,31% (sangat baik) i) revisi produk akhir, j) diseminasi produk kepada siswa, guru, dan sekolah; 2) Terdapat perbedaan rata-rata hasil belajar antara siswa yang menggunakan produk media pembelajaran software GeoGebra pada materi Prisma dan Limas dengan siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran kovensional sehingga pembelajaran menggunakan media pembelajaran GeoGebra dengan pendekatan scientific memiliki efektivitas yang baik terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa. Kata kunci: reaseach and development, media pembelajaran, software GeoGebra, pendekatan  scientific.

Abstract

Kemampuan siswa masih rendah dalam menyelesaikan masalah dalam bentuk soal cerita pada materi operasi bilangan. Gambaran berpikir siswa berdasarkan kesalahan dalam menyelesaikan masalah dalam bentuk soal cerita pada materi operasi bilangan di Sekolah Dasar menjadi tujuan dalam penelitian ini. Melalui analisis kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah dapat membantu guru menemukan masalah yang dialami siswa dalam memahami konsep. Penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis deskriptif digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Partisipan adalah siswa kelas VI SD Labschool Bumi Siliwangi yang terdiri dari 2 rombel dengan jumlah 47 partisipan. Partisipan mengisi soal tes, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan kegiatan wawancara bagi partisipan yang yang menjawab salah untuk mengkonfirmasi cara berpikir siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa beberapa kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita pemecahan masalah yaitu 1) memahami kata kunci pada soal, 2) kemampuan komputasi, 3) kemampuan konsep matematika. Melalui analisis kesalahan siswa, diharapkan guru dapat memperbaiki proses belajar mengajar selanjutnya dengan cara guru dapat menentukan konsep mana yang perlu diperkuat dan memfokuskan upaya pembelajaran pada konsep yang siswa belum memahami dengan baik.

Abstract

MSME players in Cigoong Village do not fully understand the importance of NIB. This can be caused by various reasons such as lack of literacy and lack of digital skills. To increase awareness of the importance of business legality, it is necessary to support business actors in Cigoong Village to make NIB. KKM 04 created a program related to the socialization and facilitation of making NIB. With NIB, it is expected that MSME players can gain easier access to various forms of support from the government and financial institutions. The method in this research is a participatory method in which the process involves the community. And in this approach involved 2 MSMEs that did not yet have NIB. Activities were carried out on August 26 - August 30, 2024, including socialization and facilitation of making NIB in Cigoong Village. The results showed an increase in awareness of MSME actors about how meaningful NIB is and assist in making NIB through the OSS system for business development and legal protection.

Abstract

ABSTRACT In the digital era, educational games have become one of the trends in utilizing technology for learning. However, integrating culture into educational games is a challenge to ensure that the culture is preserved and can support learning to be more contextual and meaningful. There are only a few studies on the development of ethnomathematics-based Edu-games. Therefore, this research focuses on developing an Edu-game oriented towards Banten ethnomathematics with the topics of 3D and 2D shapes. Using Research and Development, the ADDIE method is employed to develop this Edu-game. In the development stage of the Edu-game, validation was carried out by three content experts and three media experts by completing questionnaires and interviews. Subsequently, a trial of the Edu-game's use in learning was conducted in two elementary schools. A total of 35 students responded to the use of the game by completing questionnaires. As a result, the development of this Edu-game achieved an average percentage above 75% for each aspect, which means this Edu-game is "excellent". Thus, it can be concluded that the Edu-game "Petualangan Barudak" is suitable as a medium for teaching geometric shapes oriented towards the ethnomathematics of Banten.   ABSTRAK Di era digital, permainan edukasi telah menjadi salah satu tren dalam memanfaatkan teknologi untuk pembelajaran. Namun, mengintegrasikan budaya ke dalam permainan edukasi merupakan tantangan untuk memastikan bahwa budaya tersebut dilestarikan dan dapat mendukung pembelajaran agar lebih kontekstual dan bermakna. Hanya ada beberapa studi tentang pengembangan Edu-game berbasis etnomatematika. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini berfokus pada pengembangan Edu-game yang berorientasi pada etnomatematika Banten dengan topik bentuk 3D dan 2D. Dengan menggunakan Penelitian dan Pengembangan, metode ADDIE diterapkan sebagai tahap dalam pengembangan Edu-game ini. Pada tahap pengembangan Edu-game, validasi dilakukan oleh tiga ahli konten dan tiga ahli media melalui pengisian kuesioner dan wawancara. Selanjutnya, percobaan penggunaan Edu-game dalam pembelajaran dilakukan di dua sekolah dasar. Sebanyak 35 siswa memberikan tanggapan terhadap penggunaan permainan tersebut dengan mengisi kuesioner. Sebagai hasilnya, pengembangan Edu-game ini mencapai persentase rata-rata di atas 75% untuk setiap aspek, yang berarti Edu-game ini "sangat baik." Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa Edu-game "Petualangan Barudak" cocok digunakan sebagai media untuk mengajarkan bentuk-bentuk geometri yang berorientasi pada etnomatematika Banten.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of the Collaborative Learning model to improve mathematical literacy and student learning activities in class VII of junior high school. The method used in this study is quantitative using experimental research. The population in this study were all students of class VII of SMPN 1 Puloampel, the sample was taken using purposive sampling technique so that the samples obtained were students of class VII-B as the control class and class VII-A as the experimental class with a total of 25 students in each class. Data collection techniques used 5 essay tests, students' mathematical literacy skills, and learning activity questionnaires. The results of data analysis showed that the application of the Collaborative Learning model to improve mathematical literacy and student learning activities was better than conventional learning

Abstract

Mathematics is very important for understanding and problems of daily life, one of which is the branch of mathematics that studies the shape of surrounding objects is geometry. In fact, students' interest in learning and geometric thinking skills are still relatively low. The purpose of this study is to find out whether students' geometric thinking skills and students' learning interests given learning with the project based learning (PjBL) model assisted by the Geogebra application are better than those given by conventional learning. The design of this study is true experimental design the pretest posttest control group design. The sample was selected using random sampling technique. Data collection techniques by providing geometric thinking ability test questions and mathematical learning interest questionnaires to students. The data obtained was analyzed using the mean difference test. From the results of the posttest data analysis of the experimental and control classes, a sig value of 0.001 < 0.05 was obtained, which means that the geometric thinking ability of students who were given learning with the project based learning (PjBL) model assisted by the Geogebra application was better than that given by conventional learning. Furthermore, it is known that the average results of the learning interest questionnaire for students in the experimental class are 76.56 and in the control class is 59.94. So it can be concluded that the learning interest of students who use the project-based learning (PjBL) learning model assisted by the Geogebra application is better than students who use the conventional learning model

Abstract

One of the low cognitive and affective abilities of students is mathematical communication skills and self-confidence. This study aims to determine the difference in mathematical communication skills and students' confidence between those who use the Collaborative problem-solving model with the Geogebra application and those who use the lecture method. The research design used in this study is actual experimental design. Sampling in this study was carried out randomly, namely classes VIIIA and VIIIB. The data collection technique uses a mathematical communication ability test and a student confidence questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out by prerequisite tests (normality and homogeneity tests), hypothesis tests, and t-tests. From the results of the t-test data posttest of students' mathematical communication skills, a score of sig. (2-tailed) 0.047 < 0.05, so it was concluded that there was a difference in the mathematical communication ability of students in the experimental and control classes. The average result of the confidence questionnaire of students in the experimental class was 75.75, while in the control class, it was 55.80, so it was concluded that the student's confidence in the experimental class was better than that of the control class
