Abstract

This research is a quantitative study using an ex-post facto design. The sample of 102 teachers using simple random sampling technique. Data collection uses questionnaires to measure work culture and age and perceptions of transferable skills. . This study aims to (1) determine the influence of work culture and age with the perception of transferable skills of productive teachers in TKI study programs in Malang City and Malang Regency and Batu City; (2) knowing the influence of work culture with the perception of transferable skills of productive teachers in TKI study programs in Malang City and Malang Regency and Batu City; and (3) knowing the effect of age with the perception of transferable skills of productive teachers in TKI study programs in Malang City and Malang Regency and Batu City. The results of this study include: (1) there is a significant influence of work culture and age with productive teacher transferable skills in Malang City and Malang Regency and Batu City; (2) there is a significant influence of work culture with productive teacher skills transferables perceptions in Malang City and Malang Regency and Batu City; and (3) there is a significant influence of teacher age with perceptions of transferable skills of productive teachers in Malang City and Malang Regency and Batu City. It can be concluded that the variable that has the highest influence is training experience.

Abstract

Indonesia faces vocational teachers’ shortage both in the quantity and quality. One of Indonesian goverments’ effortsto overcome that problem is holding a Dual Expertise Program (DEP) to produce dual expertise teachers for vocational schools. However, the quality of dual expertise vocational teacher is still questionable. The purpose of this article is to give an idea related to the conceptual model framework for improving the quality of vocational teachers demonstrated by the teachers’ achievements. The authors of this article discuss factors that have an impact on the quality of vocational teachers and describe a framework based on a literature review that might contribute to improving the quality of vocational teachers, especially dual expertise vocational teachers. Based on the results of the article found that to improve the quality of vocational teacher can be improved through increasing self-efficacy and transferable skills, in addition to pay attention to teacher’s initial expertise and teaching experience.

Abstract

This paper presents the competence readiness of the electrical engineering vocational high school teachers in Manado towards ASEAN Economic Community blueprint in 2025. The objective of this study is to get the competencies readiness description of the electrical engineering vocational high school teachers in Manado towards ASEAN Economic Community blueprint in 2025. Method used quantitative and qualitative approach which the statistical analysis in quantitative and the inductive analysis used in qualitative. There were 46 teachers of the electrical engineering vocational high school in Manado observed. The results have shown that the competencies readiness of the electrical engineering vocational high school teachers in Manado such as: pedagogical, professional, personality, and social were 13.04%, 19.56%, 19.56%, and 19.56% respectively. The results were still far from the focus of the ASEAN economic community blueprint in 2025, so they need to be improved through in-house training, internship programs, school partnerships, distance learning, tiered training and special training, short courses in educational institutions, internal coaching by schools, discussion of educational issues, workshops, research and community service, textbook writing, learning media making, and the creation of technology and art.

Abstract

This paper presents a harmonic analyzer that used IoT and smart apps for low-cost and portable solutions. We contribute a short review of harmonics measurement methods and experimental approaches for monitoring harmonics using an IoT-based system. The proposed device was built from a current sensor, a voltage sensor, and a microcontroller with an IoT transmitter which is integrated with Matlab© cloud and smart apps (android). In specific, we experimented with testing and validated our proposal using the standard instrument under a fair treatment. The measurement scenario was taken on the point of comment coupling in the building campus for 5 to 10 minutes of each comparable instrument. Based on experimental results, the proposed device could monitor the harmonics profile drawn by the loads in the building campus. The trade-off between cost and performance is founded as the truth that it takes about 1 minute to update the harmonics data. Furthermore, the average error of THDV is 5.7%, and THDI is 4.7% which is higher than the expensive instrument. These values are acceptable based on IEEE standards.  Besides, it could monitor harmonics in real-time through an android application which is easy to use and portable. In addition, the cost of making the proposed device is cheap compared to the price of the standard instruments in the market.

Abstract

Abstract: The present study aimed to investigate relations of prior knowledge, mechanical aptitude, and age to competence of dual-expertise teachers. The study was conducted following a research design of ex-post facto. The samples were 102 dual-expertise teachers. To answer its problems, the study collected the data by using questionnaires, tests, and documentation. The data gathered were then analyzed employing desctiptive analysis, regression analysis, and partial correlation analysis. The study found that (1) there is a relation between the prior knowledge, mechanical aptitude, and age to the competence of dual-expertise teachers; (2) a relation is revealed between the prior knowledge and the competence of dual-expertise teachers; (3) a relation is identified between the mechanical aptitude and the competence of dual-expertise teachers; and (4) a relation is found between the age and the competence of dual-expertise teachers.Key Words: prior knowledge, mechanical aptitude, age, competence of dual-expertise teachers, “on-in-on-in” training modelAbstrak: Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan kompetensi awal, bakat mekanik, dan usia dengan kompetensi guru keahlian ganda. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian ex-postfacto. Sampel penelitian adalah 102 guru keahlian ganda. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner, tes, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif, analisis regresi ganda, dan analisis korelasi parsial. Hasil penelitian ini adalah: (1) ada hubungan kompetensi awal, bakat mekanik, dan usia dengan kompetensi guru keahlian ganda; (2) ada hubungan kompetensi awal dengan kompetensi guru keahlian ganda sebesar; (3) ada hubungan bakat mekanik dengan kompetensi guru keahlian ganda sebesar; dan (4) ada hubungan usia dengan kompetensi guru keahlian ganda sebesar.Kata kunci: kompetensi awal, bakat mekanik, usia, kompetensi guru keahlian ganda, model pelatihan “on–in–on–in”

Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed (1) to determine the relationship of age and the perception towards transferable skill of Vocational High School teachers from the On-In-On-In Double-expertise Program for teachers in Malang; (2) to determine the relationship between types of expertise  the perception towards transferable skill of Vocational High School teachers from the On-In-On-In Double-expertise Program for teachers in Malang; (3) to find out the significant interaction between the fields of expertise and age on the perceptions of the transferable skills of Vocational High School On-In-On-In Dual Vocational Skills in Malang. Respondents consist of 97 teachers from 14 Vocational Schools in Malang selected by simple random sampling. This study used a quantitative descriptive approach. The results showed the following (1) there is a significant relationship between of age and the perceptions of transferable skills of teachers; (2) there is a relationship between types of expertise with perceptions of teacher transferable skills; (3) there was a significant interaction between fields of expertise with age on perceptions of teacher transferable skills.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) untuk mengetahui hubungan usia dengan persepsi kemampuan transferable skills guru Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Program Keahlian Ganda On-In-On-In di Kota Malang, (2) untuk mengetahui hubungan jenis bidang keahlian dengan persepsi kemampuan transferable skills guru Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Program Keahlian Ganda On-In-On-In di Kota Malang, (3) untuk mengetahui interaksi yang signifikan antara bidang keahlian dan usia terhadap persepsi kemampuan transferable skills guru Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Program Keahlian Ganda On-In-On-In di Kota Malang. Responden berjumlah 97 guru, yang berasal dari 14 SMK di kota malang diambil secara simple random sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian diperoleh (1) terdapat hubungan yang signifikan usia dengan persepsi kemampuan transferable skills guru; (2) terdapat hubungan yang jenis bidang keahlian dengan persepsi kemampuan transferable skills guru; (3) terdapat interaksi yang signifikan antara bidang keahlian dan usia terhadap persepsi kemampuan transferable skills guru.

Abstract

Abstract: The position of vocational productive teachers is very strategic in educating the life of the nation. In 2016, there were still a shortage of vocational productive teachers totaling 91,861 with details of 41,861 in State Vocational Schools and 50,000 in Private Vocational Schools. To fulfill teacher shortages with the addition of productive vocational teachers, the Dual Skills Program was performed. The Dual Skills Program is the addition of assignments and functions of teachers from normative and adaptive teachers plus the task of teaching productive expertise competencies, carried out for 12 months using the On-In-On-In learning model. This study answers how the expertise of multiple teacher competencies after On-In-On-In training in Jombang and Mojokerto. First, pedagogical mastery of dual expertise participants is good. Second, mastery of the skills of dual expertise teachers needs to be added. Third, mastery in making teaching aids for both products and services is quite good. Fourth, mastery in the learning method is quite good, the method used is the lecture method.Abstrak: Posisi guru produktif SMK sangat strategis dalam mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa. Kondisi di tahun 2016 masih terdapat kekurangan guru produktif SMK sejumlah 91.861 dengan rincian 41.861 di SMK Negeri dan 50.000 di SMK Swasta. Upaya pemenuhan kekurangan guru tersebut dengan penambahan guru produktif SMK melalui Program Keahlian Ganda. Program keahlian ganda merupakan penambahan tugas dan fungsi guru dari guru normatif dan adaptif ditambah tugas mengajar kompetensi keahlian produktif, dilaksanakan selama 12 bulan menggunakan model pembelajaran On-In-On-In. Penelitian ini menjawab bagaimana kompetensi guru keahlian ganda pasca pelatihan On-In-On-In di kabupaten Jombang dan Mojokerto. Pertama, penguasaan pedagogik peserta keahlian ganda baik. Kedua, penguasaan keterampilan guru keahlian ganda perlu ditambah lagi. Ketiga, penguasaan dalam membuat alat peraga baik produk maupun jasa cukup baik. Keempat, penguasaan dalam metode pembelajaran cukup baik, metode yang digunakan adalah metode ceramah plus.

Abstract

The industry now needs a workforce that has the technical skills and employability skills. Completion of the CMS so that students have a technical skill and employability skills based on a scientific approach to implementation that is one indicator of the quality of learning. This research aims to know the contribution of the scientific approach towards implementation of employability skills the students of SMK Package Engineering Machining in South Sulawesi. Research using quantitative non experimental design approach is the type of survey that is ex-post facto. Pupulasi research is a grade XII Package Engineering Machining on SMK in South Sulawesi as much as 503 students with samples of 221. Data collection techniques used are the now. Research data were analyzed with descriptive analysis, comfirmatory factor analysis (CFA), regression analysis. The data analysis was done with the help of SPSS software version 4.5 for Windows and version of LISREL 9.10 Windows Application. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the implementation of the scientific approach contributes to employability skills students of SMK Package Engineering Machining in South Sulawesi. Therefore it can be said that the implementation of the scientific approach as a system of learning can develop employability skills graduates SMK.Industri saat ini membutuhkan tenaga kerja yang memiliki keterampilan teknis dan employability skill. Penyiapan siswa SMK agar memiliki keterampilan teknis dan employability skills berpangkal pada implementasi pendekatan saintifik yang merupakan salah satu indikator kualitas pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kontribusi implementasi pendekatan saintifik terhadap employability skills siswa SMK Paket Keahlian Teknik Pemesinan di Sulawesi Selatan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif rancangan non eksperimen jenis survey yang bersifat ex-post facto. Pupulasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas XII Paket Keahlian Teknik Pemesinan pada SMK di Sulawesi Selatan sebanyak 503 siswa dengan sampel sebesar 221. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah angket. Data penelitian dianalisis dengan analisis deskriptif, comfirmatory factor analysis (CFA),analisis regresi. Analisis datanya dilakukan dengan bantuan software SPSS versi 20.0 for Windows dan LISREL versi 9.10 Windows Application. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi pendekatan saintifik berkontribusi terhadap employability skills siswa SMK Paket Keahlian Teknik Pemesinan di Sulawesi Selatan. Oleh karena itu dapat dikatakan bahwa implementasi pendekatan saintifik sebagai sistem pembelajaran dapat mengembangkan employability skill lulusan SMK.

Abstract

The purpose of research to examine (1) significance of correlation between (X1) with (Y); (2) significance of correlation (X2) with (Y); (3) correlation significance of simultaneous between (X1& X2) to (Y). The research was used regression technique. Object of research at UPT-PK east java Surabaya, Jombang, Kediri, Nganjuk, Pasuruan, Singosari and Tulungagung. Result of research (1) correlation between (X1) with (Y) of 0,501%; (2) correlation between (X2) with (Y) of 0,533%; (3) significance of simultaneous between (X1& X2) to (Y) that positive and significant with coefficient R of 0,829 and R square of 68,7%.Tujuan penelitian untuk menguji (1) signifikansi hubungan antara (X1) dengan (Y); (2) signifikansi hubungan antara (X2) dengan (Y); (3) signifikansi hubungan secara simultan antara (X1& X2) terhadap (Y). Metode penelitian menggunakan teknik regresi. Penelitian dilakukan di UPT-PK Jatim terdiri atas Surabaya, Jombang, Kediri, Nganjuk, Pasuruan, Singosari, dan Tulungagung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) hubungan antara variabel (X1) dengan (Y) koefisien sebesar 0,501; (2) hubungan antara variabel (X2) dengan (Y) koefisien sebesar 0,533; (3) hubungan simultan antara variabel (X1& X2) dengan (Y) merupakan hubungan positif dan signifikan dengan koefisien R sebesar 0,829 dan R square sebesar 68,7%.

Abstract: This research was aimed to investigate (1) the influence of teaching experience and training experience with perceptions of transferable skills productive teachers; (2) the influence of teaching experience with perceptions of transferable skills productive teachers, (3) the influence of training experience with transferable skills productive teachers. The samples were 137 productive teachers of Computer and Information Engineering study programs in Malang city and regency and Batu city. To answer its problems, the study collected the data by using questionnaires. The data gathered were then analyzed employing desctiptive analysis, regression analysis, and partial correlation analysis.
