Abstract

Tumbuhan merupakan sumber obat penting sejak awal peradaban manusia.Tumbuhan menghasilkan metabolit sekunder yang memiliki berbagai fungsi farmakologis dan etnomedikal. Salah satu metabolit sekunder tersebut adalah senyawa fenolik yang dilaporkan memiliki berbagai aktivitas biologis. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan  jenis-jenis senyawa bioaktif golongan fenolik yang terkandung dalam daun bosibosi (Timonius flavescens (Jacq.) Baker) serta potensi aktivitas biologisnya. Ekstrak daun bosibosi memiliki berbagai kandungan metabolit sekunder seperti terpenoid, saponin, fenolik dan flavonoid. Senyawa fenolik sendiri memiliki keanekaragaman jenis yang  tinggi begitu pula dengan keanekaragaman potensi aktivitas biologisnya. Seperti kuersetin yang dapat membantu menstimulasi sekresi insulin oleh sel β pada pankreas. Kata Kunci : Timonius flavescens (Jacq.) Baker, Senyawa Bioaktif, Fenolik, Aktivitas Biologis

Abstract

The business of Tofu Mbak TRISNI located in Percut Sei Tuan has produced about 2 years. The Problems in the partner's efforts are: 1) The partner has not yet had the knowledge and understanding of the quality of clean water and is worthy tobe used for the manufacture of tofu and for other activities, 2) The partner does not have the knowledge and skills About clean water treatment technology of households, 3) The partner requires additional knowledge to cultivate less viable water in order to be a decent water used for the purpose of making tofu and daily necessities and 4) partners need Simple Technology to cultivate water is less feasible to be a decent water used for the purpose of making tofu and household use. The method of implementation of activities carried out by approach method includes extension activities, training, mentoring and workshop on appropriate technology to process water is not worthy of use into viable water tailored to the condition Environment. This PKM activity generates the availability of clean water for the manufacture of tofu that will produce good quality and safe for health for long-term consumption as well as increased knowledge and skills partner in operating the tool TTG For longer periods of time.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui fungsi reproduksi dan gambaran histologi organ reproduksi mencit (Mus musculus) betina pasca pemberian kopi secara oral. Parameter yang diamati adalah berat badan, berat uterus, panjang siklus estrus, daya fertilisasi, jumlah folikel primer, jumlah folikel sekunder, diameter pembuluh darah ovarium, tinggi epitel endometrium, dan ketebalan endometrium dengan lama pemberian selama 21 hari dan 42 hari untuk parameter daya fertilisasi. Dosis kopi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah setara dengan tiga cangkir kopi pada manusia yang dikonversikan menjadi 0,5 ml pada mencit dan dilakukan empat kali pengulangan. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemberian kopi memberi pengaruh yang nyata terhadap jumlah folikel sekunder ovarium mencit dan tinggi epitel endometrium mencit, serta tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap berat badan, berat uterus, panjang siklus estrus, daya fertilisasi, diameter corpus luteum, jumlah folikel primer, diameter pembuluh darah ovarium, ketebalan endometrium, dan ketebalan miometrium.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilakukan di desa Patumbak 1, kecamatan Patumbak, Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Kegiatan ini didasari oleh kendala yang dialami oleh kelompok peternak kambing dalam mengolah pakan ternak melalui fermentasi dengan memanfaatkan libah daun kelapa sawit dimana ternak tersebut kurang dapat mencerna pakan akibat tidak dapat mencerna lidi yang terikut dibuat sebagai pakan ternak permentasi. Kelompok yang beranggotakan 7 orang mempunyai ternak sebanyak 37 ekor kambing. Dengan pemberian pakan yang kurang baik, kelompok ini kurang baik dalam mengembangkan ternaknya baik secara kualitas maupun kuantitas. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini untuk mengatasi kendala yang dihadapi oleh mitra dan meningkatkan manajemen usahanya melalui penerapan sistem pembukuan usaha. Metode yang dilakukan pendampingan,pembinaan dan penerapan teknologi tepat guna mesin pemisah lidi kelapa sawit dari daunnya sehingga daun yang diolah dapat dicerna oleh hewan lebih optimal dan tidak menyebabkan penyakit. Kegiatan pengabdian yang dilaksanakan kurun waktu bulan ini menghasilkan peningkatan kualitas pakan ternak mitra dengan diberikannya alat teknologi tepat guna mesin peraut lidi, serta menambah wawasan dan pengetahuan mitra dalam proses pengolahan pakan ternak fermentasi yang baik dengan berdampak pada peningkatan kuantitas dan kulitas ternak yang dikembangkan. Penerapan sistem pembukuan keuangan berdampak pada peningkatan manajemen usaha sehingga dapat meningkatkan nilai ekonomis usaha peternakannya.

Abstract

The partners of this Community Partnership Program (PKM) are home-cooked tempeh entrepreneurs in the village of Pool, District of Percut Sei Tuan. Activities carried out as solutions to solve partner problems are 1) counseling on the impact of using unsuitable water for tempe production for health in the short and long term, 2) assistance in making integrated water filtration installations, 3) training and processing practices well water using integrated water filtration installations, 4. assistance in providing more hygienic production facilities. Based on the activities carried out, it can be concluded that: (1) Partners understand the negative impact on the health of using unclean water in producing tempeh. (2) Partners already have a water filter system installed at the tempe production site. (3) Partners already have the skills to use a water filter system to get clean water and how to treat it. (4) Partners have additional hygienic production equipment

Abstract

The Community Empowerment Program is implemented by activity partners, namely the German caterpillar breeder group in Marindal Village, Patumbak District, Deli Serdang Regency. The problems experienced by partners in running their business include: 1) Limited capital so partners have not been able to add to the German caterpillar breeding drum, 2) Knowledge in breeding German caterpillars is still limited, 3) The amount of German caterpillar harvest production cannot be increased. The solutions that will be implemented to overcome partner problems are: 1) Making German caterpillar breeding cages with more numbers than partners have, 2) Training on German caterpillar breeding, 3) Handing over cages (shelves and boxes) to partners. The method of implementing activities is training and mentoring. The results obtained were an increase in partners' knowledge in breeding German caterpillars and the availability of cages with more shelves so that they could increase German caterpillar production Program Pemberdayaan Masyarakat dilaksanakan pada mitra kegiatan yaitu kelompok peternak ulat jerman yang berada di Desa Marindal Kecamatan Patumbak Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Adapun permasalahan yang dialami mitra dalam menjalankan usahanya meliputi : 1) Modal terbatas sehingga mitra belum dapat menambah kendang pembiakan ulat jerman, 2) Pengetahuan dalam membiakkan ulat jerman masih terbatas, 3) Jumlah produksi panen ulat jerman belum dapat ditingkatkan. Adapun solusi yang akan diterapkan untuk mengatasi permasalahan mitra yaitu : 1) Pembuatan kandang pembiakan ulat jerman dengan jumlah yang lebih banyak dari yang dimiliki mitra, 2) Pelatihan pembiakan ulat jerman, 3) Penyerahan kandang (rak dan kotak) kepada mitra. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan yaitu pelatiahan da pendampingan. Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan mitra dalam membiakkan ulat jerman dan tersedianya kandang yang memiliki rak lebih banyak sehingga dapat meningkatkan produksi ulat jerman.

Abstract

This study aims to find out whether the implementation of biology practicum has a relationship with higher-order thinking skills and learning outcomes of class XI IPA students of SMA Negeri 3 Tanjung Balai in the academic year 2021/2022. All students of class XI IPA, totaling 137 students, were used as research samples. The research instrumentswere consisted of a questionnaire (for practicum implementation), an essay test(for higher- order thinking skills), and a multiple choice test(for student learning outcomes). The data were analyzed in a quantitative descriptive manner by presenting the answers of the respondents regarding the research on implementing practices, higher order thinking skills, and student learning outcomes. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of biology practicum is included in the good category with a percentage of 77%. Students' high-order thinking skills in biology learning are included in the good category with a percentage of 78%, and student learning outcomes in biology learning are included in the good category with a percentage of 76%. This also meets the KKM standard (Minimum Completeness Criteria).

Abstract

This study aimed to develop a valid and reliable google form-based learning outcome evaluation instrument for the Animal Development course. The instrument was developed following the 4D development model (define, design, develop, dessiminate). The research subjects were Biology Education Study Program (PSPB) class of 2021 class B students totaling 26 people. Data were obtained from validation questionnaires and student response questionnaires. The initial design of the learning outcome evaluation instrument consisted of 50 questions. Based on the validator's assessment, an instrument consisting of 25 valid and reliable questions was obtained. The results of validation by evaluation instrument experts obtained an average percentage of 98.6% with a very feasible category. Based on the validity analysis of the Aiken index, the value V = 0.942 was obtained with high validity criteria. Instrument reliability using Cronbach's Alpha obtained a value of 0.796 with high criteria (reliable), while the analysis of ICC reliability data obtained the results of inter-rater agreement of 0.796, and for each rater the consistency is 0.565. It can be concluded that the agreement between raters is very strong and each rater has a fairly good consistency. The results of the data analysis of student responses showed that each indicator was rated very well with an average percentage of 88%.theresa612
