Abstract

We discuss a family of iterative methods derived by giving a weight function recur-sively to the corrector of Newton’s method, which is a review of article of Herceg and Herceg publised on [Applied Mathematics and Computation, 87 (2010), 2533–2541]. Weighting with a specific index produces Super-Halley’s method. Analytically it is shown that the order of the convergence of the method is three. Furthermore, this iteration method requires four function evaluations per iteration, so its efficiency index is 1.316. Then, computational tests show that the discussed method is better than Newton’s method, and does not have significant differences with Super Halley’s method in terms of error produced.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas program pelatihan yang bertujuan meningkatkan manajemen pengobatan diabetes yang benar pada anggota Posyandu lanjut usia di Desa Warurejo, Kecamatan Balerejo, Kabupaten Madiun, Jawa Timur. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan metode campuran, menggabungkan survei kuantitatif dan wawancara kualitatif, untuk menilai dampak intervensi terhadap pengetahuan, sikap, dan perilaku peserta terkait manajemen pengobatan diabetes. Analisis kuantitatif menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam skor kepatuhan pengobatan dan tingkat pengetahuan di antara peserta yang mengikuti program pelatihan. Temuan kualitatif memperjelas pengalaman dan persepsi peserta terhadap intervensi, menyoroti perannya dalam meningkatkan pemahaman, efikasi diri, dan jaringan dukungan sosial untuk pengelolaan diabetes. Kelebihan penelitian ini mencakup latar belakang masyarakat, kepekaan budaya, dan keterlibatan partisipan, sedangkan keterbatasannya mencakup potensi bias pengambilan sampel dan ketergantungan pada pengukuran yang dilaporkan sendiri. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini menggarisbawahi potensi transformatif dari intervensi pendidikan yang disesuaikan dalam memberdayakan populasi lansia untuk mengelola diabetes secara efektif dan meningkatkan hasil kesehatan di daerah pedesaan.

Abstract

This study aims to test whether taxpayer awareness, understanding of Understanding Financial Accounting Standards of Small and Medium Micro Eentitas and tax relaxation to the compliance of small and medium micro enterprises taxpayers. The population in this study is Small and Medium Micro Enterprises in Yogyakarta. Sampling techniques in this study use convenience sampling. Data collection is done by disseminating questionnaires in the form of google form through whatsap application to respondents. The number of questionnaires processed as many as 62 questionnaires, from google form. The data was analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis.  The results of this study show that taxpayer awareness and tax relaxation have a positive and significant effect on taxpayer compliance. Meanwhile, understanding the Understanding of Financial Accounting Standards of Small and Medium Micro Eentitas negatively affects taxpayer compliance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze syntactic errors in students' scientific articles, especially in the application of the principles of effective sentences. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with primary data in the form of 18 scientific articles in non-synta journals written by undergraduate or S-1 Indonesian Language and Literature study program students from 12 different universities as author affiliations. Data collection was carried out through documentation techniques, and analysis was carried out using a content analysis approach for three months, namely October to December 2024. The results of the study showed that the most common syntactic errors occurred in the aspects of unity of ideas, coherence, and emphasis. These errors include illogical combinations of ideas, lack of integration between sentences, and inability to emphasize the main idea. In addition, errors were also found in variations in sentence structure, parallelism, and logical reasoning. These findings reflect students' weak understanding of the basic principles of syntax and effective sentences. This study concludes that intensive training and guidance in academic writing are needed to improve the quality of students' scientific articles. These findings are expected to contribute to the development of scientific writing learning strategies in higher education.  Abstrak bahasa Indonesia  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesalahan sintaksis dalam artikel ilmiah mahasiswa, khususnya dalam penerapan prinsip kalimat efektif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan data utama berupa 18 artikel ilmiah pada jurnal non sinta yang ditulis mahasiswa program studi Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia jenjang sarjana atau S-1, dari 12 perguruan tinggi yang berbeda sebagai afiliasi penulis. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui teknik dokumentasi, dan analisis dilakukan dengan pendekatan analisis isi selama tiga bulan, yaitu bulan Oktober sampai dengan Desember 2024. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesalahan sintaksis paling umum terjadi pada aspek kesatuan gagasan, koherensi, dan penekanan. Kesalahan ini meliputi penggabungan ide yang tidak logis, kurangnya keterpaduan antar-kalimat, serta ketidakmampuan menekankan gagasan utama. Selain itu, ditemukan pula kesalahan dalam variasi struktur kalimat, paralelisme, dan penalaran logika. Temuan ini mencerminkan lemahnya pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap prinsip-prinsip dasar sintaksis dan kalimat efektif. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pelatihan intensif dan bimbingan menulis akademik diperlukan untuk meningkatkan kualitas artikel ilmiah mahasiswa. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi bagi pengembangan strategi pembelajaran menulis ilmiah di perguruan tinggi.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Analysis of the Reading and Writing School Literacy Movement in Grade V of SDN Kesambi Dalam 1, Cirebon City. The School Literacy Movement (SLM) program seeks to cultivate a culture of reading and writing literacy in schools. This research focuses on analyzing the implementation of the School Literacy Movement at SDN Kesambi Dalam 1 to evaluate its effectiveness and impact on improving students' literacy skills in the school. This study employs a qualitative research method, involving the collection and analysis of descriptive data, such as interviews, observations, or text analysis, to generate a comprehensive understanding of the context and complexity of the issue. The results show that the analysis of the implementation of the School Literacy Movement at SDN Kesambi Dalam 1 significantly enhances students' enthusiasm and interest, particularly in Grade V, in reading. Additionally, this literacy activity fosters students' courage and self-confidence.

Abstract

Puisi pupujian merupakan salah satu bentuk sastra lisan tradisional yang berkembang di lingkungan masyarakat Sunda, khususnya dalam konteks kegiatan keagamaan seperti pengajian dan shalat berjamaah di masjid. Sebagai karya sastra yang dilantunkan secara kolektif, pupujian tidak hanya menyampaikan nilai-nilai religius, tetapi juga memuat keindahan bahasa yang khas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji estetika bahasa dalam puisi pupujian melalui pendekatan stilistika dan retorika. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi literatur (literature review), dengan menganalisis berbagai teks pupujian yang telah terdokumentasi dalam karya sastra, artikel ilmiah, dan sumber-sumber pustaka lainnya. Temuan dalam kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa puisi pupujian kaya akan unsur stilistika seperti diksi religius, repetisi, paralelisme, rima, dan penggunaan majas yang memperkuat nuansa spiritual. Secara retoris, pupujian memanfaatkan pola persuasif yang membangun suasana kontemplatif dan emosional, antara lain melalui penggunaan klimaks, anafora, dan ajakan bertobat. Hasil kajian menegaskan bahwa estetika bahasa dalam pupujian berfungsi bukan hanya sebagai penghias verbal, tetapi juga sebagai media penyampaian pesan moral dan religius yang efektif. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa telaah stilistika dan retorika terhadap pupujian memperkaya pemahaman kita terhadap fungsi estetis dan komunikatif dalam sastra lisan keagamaan

Abstract

This study explores the reengineering of health vocational high school (SMK Kesehatan) curricula in Kalimantan following the implementation of Indonesia’s Health Law No. 17 of 2023, with a comparative analysis of Thailand’s vocational education reform under the Thailand 4.0 framework. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation in SMKs located in East, South, and Central Kalimantan. Findings reveal that SMKs in Kalimantan have begun to adjust their curricula by emphasizing medical technology, hospital management, and digital health information systems. However, challenges such as limited facilities, insufficient teacher training, and weak industry partnerships remain significant barriers. In contrast, Thailand has successfully implemented holistic vocational education reform by integrating work-integrated learning, providing high-skilled vocational innovation scholarships, and establishing strong partnerships between schools and industries. Thailand’s model also benefits from a robust monitoring and evaluation system that ensures alignment with labor market demands. These findings suggest that SMKs in Kalimantan need to adopt a more holistic and collaborative approach to curriculum reengineering, drawing lessons from Thailand, to produce graduates who are adaptive, innovative, and competitive in the global health sector.

Abstract

This article aims to examine the implementation of reading corners in elementary schools and their impact on increasing literacy skills. The method used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) by analyzing twelve relevant scientific articles published in the last five years. The review process was conducted thru five stages: problem identification, setting inclusion and exclusion criteria, searching for articles using the keywords "reading corner," "reading corner," and "elementary literacy," data extraction, and thematic analysis. The study results show that reading corners have a significant positive impact on the cognitive, affective, and social aspects of students. The improvement in text comprehension skills, the growth of reading motivation, and the creation of a literacy culture in the school environment are the main benefits of an optimally managed reading corner. In addition, the role of teachers as literacy facilitators has proven to be very important in directing the effectiveness of the reading corner. Thus, the reading corner is not just a decorative element in the classroom, but a literacy strategy with great potential to cultivate a love for reading and improve the overall quality of primary education. Keywords: literacy; reading interest; students; reading corner, Abstrak Artikel ini akan mengkaji implementasi reading corner (reading corner) di sekolah dasar serta dampaknya terhadap peningkatan kemampuan literasi peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan adalah Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan menganalisis dua belas artikel ilmiah yang relevan dan dipublikasikan dalam lima tahun terakhir. Proses kajian dilakukan melalui lima tahapan, yaitu identifikasi masalah, penetapan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi, pencarian artikel menggunakan kata kunci “reading corner”, “reading corner”, dan “elementary literacy”, ekstraksi data, serta analisis tematik. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa reading corner memberikan dampak positif yang signifikan dalam aspek kognitif, afektif, dan sosial peserta didik. Peningkatan kemampuan memahami teks, tumbuhnya motivasi membaca, serta terciptanya budaya literasi di lingkungan sekolah menjadi manfaat utama dari reading corner yang dikelola secara optimal. Selain itu, peran guru sebagai fasilitator literasi terbukti sangat penting dalam mengarahkan efektivitas reading corner. Dengan demikian, reading corner bukan sekadar elemen dekoratif dalam kelas, melainkan strategi literasi yang memiliki potensi besar dalam membentuk karakter gemar membaca dan meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan dasar secara menyeluruh. Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by the low ability to read floor plan instructions of fourth-grade students of SDN Karangjaya 01, Pebayuran District, Bekasi Regency. Students experience difficulties in navigating roads, understanding cardinal directions, determining locations, and interpreting symbols so that learning outcomes have not reached the Minimum Competency (KKM). This study aims to determine the effect of models (three-dimensional replicas) on floor plan reading abilities. This study uses a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest–posttest design. The subjects of the study were 30 fourth-grade students who were selected using a saturated sampling technique. The instrument used was a multiple-choice test whose validity and reliability have been tested. Data analysis used normality tests, homogeneity tests, paired sample t-tests, and N-Gain tests. The results showed that the average pretest score of 68.97 increased to 80.93 in the posttest, with a calculated t-value of 21.364 > t-table 2.042 (Sig. 0.000 < 0.05) and an N-Gain of 0.4629, categorized as moderate. Thus, mock-ups have a positive and significant effect on students' ability to read floor plan instructions.
