Abstract

Pertanian merupakan sektor yang memiliki pengaruh besar di Indonesia. Kestabilan sektor ini perlu diperhatikan untuk menjaga keadaan perekonomian. Telah terjadi banyak perubahan akibat kemajuan teknologi, salah satunya pada sektor pertanian yaitu penggunaan alat modern dan berbasis internet. Desa Glagahwangi, Kabupaten Klaten merupakan desa dengan potensi pertanian yang sangat besar namun belum ditunjang dengan penerapan teknologi modern. Tim PPK Ormawa BEM FP UNS melaksanakan kegiatan pengenalan dan pengimplementasian smart farming di Desa Glagahwangi untuk meningkatkan efektivitas dan efisiensi budidaya pertanian. Kegiatan tersebut dilakukan dengan metode ceramah, diskusi, dan pelatihan. Teknologi pertanian yang dikenalkan meliputi soil sensor NPK tanah, kelembaban dan pH tanah, mini AWS untuk mengetahui suhu dan kelembaban udara serta intensitas cahaya, drone penyemprot pupuk cair, serta Aplikasi Tandhur untuk memantau budidaya pertanian konversi organik dalam segi tenaga dan biaya. Rangkaian kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan penerapan teknologi pertanian bagi petani sehingga dapat efektif dan efisien serta menarik minat terhadap generasi muda untuk terjun langsung ke sektor pertanian melalui penerapan teknologi modern.

Abstract

Sabrang village was once known for its one-of-a-kind rice variety, Rojolele Delanggu. Despite this cultural abundance, the communities are currently abandoning these villages because they are deemed uneconomically viable. This paper investigates the ways in which knowledge-sharing initiatives involving local governments, women farming associations that have historically led farming rituals, and students from diverse developing countries contribute to the restoration of the Rojolele rice planting pattern. The project invited 20 international students from various developing countries to participate in the In-Herit 2022 program. The program was launched to increase student and local interest in becoming village designers through a case study of the preservation of local Rojolele Delanggu rice in Sabrang Village. This activity was broken down into three sections: (1) learning from locals, (2) participatory learning and action, and (3) proposing ideas to locals. The outcomes of this three-day project were a mapping of opportunities, challenges, and resolutions pertaining to the Rojolele Delanggu preservation initiative. The majority of students were able to quickly fit in with the locals, apply PLA materials, and were paired with student mentors who knew about farming community development activities in Delanggu farming regions.

Abstract

Soybeans, a legume widely consumed in Indonesia, exhibit a comparatively low production rate. Therefore, initiatives to augment soybean production are essential, one of which is the utilization of biochar. Biochar has been extensively studied as a soil amendment that improves soil fertility and promotes plant growth. This study aimed to evaluate the physiological responses of soybean varieties to different types of biochar. The experiment used a factor randomized complete block design (RCBD) with three replications. The factor was three soybean varieties (Dena 1, Demas 1, and Gepak Kuning) and three biochar treatments (control, palm fibre, and rice hull). Data were analysed using analysis of variance (ANOVA), followed by Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at a 5% significance level. Results indicated that rice hull biochar improved net assimilation and relative growth rates by 1.95% and 1.59%, respectively, between the third and fifth weeks after planting. It also increased total dry weight by 1.37% and leaf area index by 1.72% compared to untreated plants. Among the varieties tested, Dena 1 yielded the highest total dry weight (1.41%) and leaf area index (1.53%), highlighting a promising synergy between this variety and rice hull biochar. These findings demonstrate that biochar type and soybean variety interact to determine physiological responses, suggesting that appropriate combinations may improve soybean productivity and resilience under field conditions.

Abstract

Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan produktivitas pertanian hortikultura dan ketahanan pangan lokal melalui penerapan teknologi greenhouse cerdas berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) dan Artificial Intelligence (AI) pada Kelompok Tani Kismo Mulyo V. Program ini menawarkan solusi integratif berupa penerapan greenhouse cerdas, pengembangan dashboard manajemen produksi digital, integrasi irigasi presisi berbasis sensor, serta pelatihan literasi teknologi bagi petani. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR) yang melibatkan mitra secara aktif melalui tahapan sosialisasi, pelatihan berbasis praktik (hands-on training), instalasi teknologi, serta pendampingan dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa satu unit greenhouse cerdas berukuran 4×5 m² berhasil direalisasikan dan dilengkapi dengan sensor suhu dan kelembapan udara, sensor kelembapan tanah, sistem otomasi irigasi, serta dashboard pemantauan berbasis cloud yang dapat diakses melalui perangkat seluler. Implementasi teknologi ini mampu menciptakan sistem budidaya yang lebih adaptif terhadap perubahan iklim melalui pengendalian mikroklimat otomatis dan irigasi berbasis data. Selain itu, terjadi peningkatan signifikan pada kapasitas teknis mitra, ditunjukkan oleh peningkatan skor pengetahuan teknis dari 3,46 menjadi 4,00 serta peningkatan sikap positif terhadap teknologi dari 3,00 menjadi 3,85.

Abstract

Regulators (PGRs) are used to stimulate the development and growth of bulbs in order to produce a large number of bulbs. This study aims to identify the effect of PGRs and boron formulations that can increase the growth and yield of several variety of shallots. This research took place in the cultivation field of Ngringo Village, Jaten District, Karanganyar Regency from April-August 2023. The method used was a Complete Randomized Blok Design (CRBD) consisting of two factors with four replications. The first factor was PGRs and Boron formulation (without and with GA3 200 ppm+BAP 50 ppm+NAA 50 ppm+ IAA 300 ppm + 1500 ppm boron formulation). The second factor was variety (Bima Brebes, Maja Cipanas, Batu Ijo and Tajuk). Data were analyzed by F test with 95% confidence level followed by Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) with 95% confidence level. The results showed that the application of PGRs formulations GA3 200 ppm + BAP 50 ppm + NAA 50 ppm +IAA 300 ppm + 1500 ppm boron on shallots of Tajuk varieties was able to increase number of leaves by 5 leaves and able to increase number of bulbs per clump of 3 bulbs compared to without the aplication of PGRs and boron formulations. The Tajuk variety provides the best growth in fresh weight of 16 g higher stalks and in the yield of fresh weight of bulbs per clump 23 g compared to the Batu Ijo variety. Shallots treated with 200 ppm GA3 + BAP 50 ppm + NAA 50 ppm +IAA 300 ppm + 1500 ppm boron have not shown an increase in growth and yield accros various shallot varieties.

Abstract

Extended use of synthetic chemical fertilizers may degrade soil quality. As a synthetic chemical fertilizer substitute, organic fertilizer can improve soil quality, produce healthier agricultural products, and be environmentally sustainable. Thus, coffee grounds liquid organic fertilizer may solve this problem. This study examines how liquid organic fertilizer made from coffee grounds affects land kale's physiological and growth characteristics. A fully randomized experimental design with one factor and 11 treatments was used. A control group, NPK-16-16-16 4 g, and Arabica, Robusta, and Liberica coffee were treated with three concentrations (4 mL.L-1, 12 mL.L-1, and 20 mL.L-1). Four replicates were run for each treatment. The investigation found that coffee ground liquid organic fertilizer does not meet Minister of Agriculture Decree 261/KPTS/SR.310/M/4/2019 criteria. Compared to the control group, liquid organic fertilizer made from coffee grounds did not increase land kale growth. Additionally, it did not grow as well as with NPK16-16-16 fertilizer. Coffee grinds liquid organic fertilizer only enhances kale growing on land, promoting sustainable agriculture.

Abstract

Red chili production in certain areas of Central Java, including Sendangijo Village, Wonogiri Regency, remains relatively low. One alternative to improve its growth and yield is foliar fertilization. This study aimed to determine the most effective type of foliar fertilizer for enhancing the growth and yield of red chili. The study was conducted from May to September 2023 in Sendangijo Village using a Randomized Complete Block Design with a single factor consisting of four treatments: no foliar fertilizer, foliar fertilizer A. NPK 11-8-6, B. NPK 20-15-15, and C. NPK 10-2-7, each with six replications. Observed variables included plant height, number of dichotomous branches, number of leaves, leaf area, fresh and dry weight of biomass, number of fruits, fresh weight of fruits per plant, and productivity per hectare. The result showed that the leaf area of red chili pepper given foliar fertilizer NPK 20-15-15  was larger than the foliar fertilizer NPK 11-8-6, NPK 10-2-7, and without foliar fertilizer. Foliar fertilizer NPK 20-15-15 also gave a heavier dry weight of biomass compared to foliar fertilizer NPK 11-8-6, NPK 10-2-7, and without foliar fertilizer. However, foliar fertilizer application did not significantly affect the number of fruits, the fresh weight of fruits per plant, or productivity per hectare.

Abstract

Edukasi pengelolaan sampah sejak usia dini merupakan fondasi penting dalam membentuk perilaku ramah lingkungan yang berkelanjutan. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini berfokus pada pemilahan sampah organik dan anorganik untuk siswa kelas 1, 2, dan 3 sekolah dasar. Metode partisipatif yang digunakan adalah permainan edukatif “mencari harta karun” untuk menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang menyenangkan di SDN 1 Turus, Polanharjo, Klaten. Dalam permainan ini, siswa dibagi menjadi kelompok kecil dan diberi peta petunjuk menuju “harta karun” berupa berbagai benda atau sampah. Setelah menemukannya, mereka menempelkan stiker sampah pada tempat sampah sesuai kategori organik atau anorganik. Kegiatan yang dilaksanakan pada 15 Juli 2025 ini mendapat antusias tinggi dari para siswa. Melalui permainan ini, siswa memperoleh pengetahuan teoritis dan pengalaman praktis tentang pentingnya memilah sampah dengan benar. Hal tersebut terlihat dari kemampuan anak-anak memisahkan sampah organik dan anorganik berdasarkan tempat sampah yang tersedia. Secara keseluruhan, metode ini membuktikan bahwa edukasi lingkungan berbasis permainan efektif diterapkan pada anak usia sekolah dasar, karena 83,34 persen siswa berhasil memisahkan sampah dengan benar. Metode interaktif ini dapat menjadi model alternatif yang menjanjikan untuk sosialisasi lingkungan di sekolah. Di masa yang akan datang, siswa dapat berperan aktif dan berkolaborasi dengan mitra pengelolaan sampah, yaitu bank sampah ”Mrisen Makmur” yang ada di desa tersebut.
