Abstract

Serat Sari Swara is an old literary work (1930) written directly by KHD using Javanese script and in Javanese in the form of tembang (poetry genre). This study of old literary works is important because it is an intellectual heritage of the work of the Father of the Indonesian National Education (KHD), which contains many moral and philosophical teachings that are useful as lessons and knowledge for the current generation. The data analysis method used is the content analysis method through the perspective of literary interpretation. The primary data source of this research comes from the Serat Sari Swara script, especially the Asmaradana Wasitarini songs. The results of the research on the philosophical meaning of the Asmaradana Wasita Rini song are about advice and teaching to women in fighting for their rights to obtain gender equality and women's independence, as well as the dedication of women (wives) to men (husbands) so that they can live in harmony and happiness. In detail, the contents of Wasita Rini's philosophical meaning are as follows: 1) teachings to women to always maintain the norms of decency and decency; 2) Protect themselves and their honour; 3) Women need to be respected and respected and do not like being treated arbitrarily; 4) can control themselves; 5) A woman must be conscientious and good at sorting out good and bad things; 6) Women must have the intelligence of creativity, taste, and intention (morals).

Abstract

Popular novels always attract the attention of producers to make them into films with or without changes. The purpose of this research is to describe (1) comparison between the novel Bumi Manusia by Pramoedya Ananta Toer and Hanung Bramantyo's Bumi Manusia film from the ecranisation process (shrinking, adding, and change of variation) to the plot, setting, and character and (2) relevance of comparison results between novel and film Bumi Manusia as learning material at senior high school (SHS) or vocational high school (VHS). This research includes qualitative research with main data source is the novel and film Bumi Manusia. The sampling technique for this research uses purposive sampling. The data analysis technique used is interactive analysis. The results of the study can be described as follows: (1)The ecranisation of the novel to the film Bumi Manusia consists of 45 shrinks, 28 additions, and 35 changes in variations. In the plot ecranisation consists 33 shrinks, 18 additions, and 21 changes to variations. In setting ecranisation, consists 6 shrinks, 2 additions, and 8 changes in variation. In character ecranisation there are 6 shrinks, 8 additions, and 10 changes in variation. (2)Bumi Manusia novel can be an alternative to literary learning, especially novels in SHS or VHS because it has relevance to learning of the basic competency 3.9 dan 4.9 in class XII 2013 curriculum.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the variation of the greeting words used by Arabians in Surakarta. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The data in this research is the speech language used by the Arab ethnic community in Kecamatan Pasar Kliwon, Surakarta by searching for linguistic features on the variation of the word greeting. Sources of data were obtained from informants who were Arabs in Surakarta. Technique of data analysis using technique of padan. Based on analysis results can be concluded that the variation of Arabic greeting of Arabian community in Surakarta has its own peculiarities. Such distinctiveness is indicated through the greetings associated with pronouns, kinship, social status, and professions used by Arabs more still influenced by the Arabic element. Nevertheless, some of the greetings have shifted in Indonesian and Javanese.

Abstract

The prevention of the Covid-19 pandemic which took place in early 2020 – 2022 made regional leaders disseminate information about preventing Covid-19 through their respective social media by relying on access to information technology and social media owned by regional leaders. This research aims to analyze critical discourse based on Teun van Dijk's method which is divided into microstructure, superstructure and microstructure aspects. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method with the type of research in the form of library research or library research which focuses on documentary analysis which refers to on the Instagram posts of regional heads Wahidin Halim (Governor of Banten Province) @wh_wahidinhalim, Anies Baswedan (Governor of DKI Jakarta) @aniesbaswedan, Ridwan Kamil (Governor of West Java) @ridwankamil, Ganjar Pranowo (Governor of Central Java) @ganjar_pranowo, and Khofifah Indar Parawansa ( Governor of East Java) @khofifah.ip. The results of research in critical discourse analysis according to Teun A. Van Djik's model are divided into three aspects, namely macro structure, superstructure and micro structure. This aspect can be found in social media posts with the same pattern, so it can be concluded that the aspect of critical discourse analysis in Instagram posts during the Covid-19 pandemic was that regional heads (governors) gave recommendations and appeals to the public to comply with health protocols and reduce activities outside the home.
