Abstract

Employee commitment is one of the keys that determine the success of an organization to achieve its goals.Employees who have a commitment to the organization usually show a caring attitude to their duties, they are very responsible for carrying out tasks and very loyal to the company. Organizational commitment especially affective commitment as one of the factors in human resources. Factors suspected to affect affective commitment is interpersonal conflict and organizational climate. This study was conducted to see the effect of interpersonal conflict and organizational climate on affective commitment. This study uses a quantitative research. The population in this study are employees of PT. Semen Padang. the Subjects are 128 employees using incidental sampling technique. Collecting data using the instrument in the form of scale, the scale of interpersonal conflicts, organizational climate scale and affective commitment scale. Data analysis technique used in this research is regression analysis. The results showed there is no effect between interpersonal conflict on affective commitment to employees (β = 0095, p = 0493), then there is significant effect between organizational climate on affective commitment (β = 0.279, p = 0.000) effective contribution of the organization's climate to affective commitment of 8.2%, and there is influence between conflict interpersonal and organizational climate on affective commitment (F = 7706, p = 0.001), Effective contribution of interpersonal conflict and organizational climate to affective commitment by 11%.

Abstract

Covid-19 was causing a drastically changing situation, especially for healthcare workers facing increasing workloads and sudden changes in circumstances. These circumstances force health workers to adapt to these stressful changes. Cognitive flexibility is one of the protective factors for health workers to be capable of processing and coping with stress. This study aims to perceive the contribution of cognitive flexibility to stress to healthcare workers. The research hypothesis is that there is a negative role between cognitive flexibility and stress, which means the higher cognitive flexibility a health worker has, the lower the stress level. This study uses quantitative methods. Using random sampling techniques, data retrieval uses the Cognitive Flexibility Scale (CFS) and Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS-21) questionnaires. The subjects of this study were 55 health workers working at hospitals in Malang, with the professional criteria of doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and midwives. Data analysis uses a simple linear regression test. The results of this study show that cognitive flexibility has a 33.3% effect on reducing stress levels in healthcare workers.   Keywords: cognitive flexibility, covid-19, healthcare workers, mental health, stress

Abstract

The news about the Covid 19 virus has made people with lower middle socioeconomic status who work in traditional market worried about this virus. How they thinking about covid 19 reflected in their daily behavior at traditional market. They anxiety that reflected by their behavior become predictor how they thinking about the covid 19 virus. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of anxiety on the perception of the risk of the danger of covid 19 virus. This study is a quantitative research using survey method. There are 166 participant who surveyed by accidental sampling with some criterias; male and female traditional markets worker and aged 18-61 years. The data collected by instruments; Covid 19 Pperceived Risk Scales (CPRS) and State Trait Anxiety Inventory-Trait (STAI-T) and analized using simple regression. The results showed that there was a significant positive effect on anxiety on the perception of the dangers of covid 19 in traditional market workers (r = 0.205, R2 = 0.042, P = 0.008)   Keywords : subjective assessment, anxiety as a trait, lower middle socioeconomic

Abstract

Problem kesehatan remaja di sekolah banyak di jumpai tetapi kurang memperoleh perhatian. Usaha prevensi dan promosi kesehatan di kalangan anak dan remaja merupakan issu penting untuk peningkatan kesejahteraan mereka di masa sekarang dan di masa depannya. Status kesehatan mereka pada dasarnya berkaitan dengan perilakunya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh lokus kendali dan strategi mengatasi rasa sakit terhadap proteksi diri dan status kesehatan. Penelitian melibatkan 150 siswa SMP usia antara 12-16 tahun (M=14.52, SD=2.65) terdiri dari 75 siswa laki-laki dan 75 siswa perempuan. Sebagian besar adalah dari keluarga kelas social menengah. Data dikumpulkan dengan skala Locus of Control Scale, Body Investment Scale, Pain Respon Invertory, dan Daftar Cek Masalah. Analisa data menggunakan analisis korelasi dan regresi dan korelasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan lokus kendali individu mempengaruhi strategi dalam mengatasi rasa sakit (F=0.922, p<0.01), tetapi tidak mempengaruhi proteksi diri dan status kesehatan. Strategi mengatasi rasa sakit mempengaruhi proteksi diri (F=7.785, p<0.01) dan status kesehatan (F=4.888, p<0.05), dan proteksi diri mempengaruhi status kesehatan (F=6.681, p<0.05). Berdasarkan hasil analisis ini direkomendasikan agar dalam meningkatkan status kesehatan remaja perlu dapat dilakukan melalui kemampuan remaja dalam melakukan proteksi diri, pembinaan dalam strategi mengatasi rasa sakit, dan lokus kendali. Implikasi hasil penelitian ini terhadap penyelenggaraan konseling kesehatan, intervensi promosi dan prevensi kesehatan untuk remaja di sekolah.Kata kunci Lokus kendali, strategi mengatasi sakit, proteksi diri, status kesehatan, remaja

Abstract

Berbagai bencana yang terjadi di Indonesia, khususnya bencana karena konflik antar kelompok, telah mengakibatkan banyak korban. Konflik tersebut menimbulkan masalah psikologis dan trauma bagi masyarakat banyak. Untuk mencegah terjadinya masalah psikososial yang lebih berat dan mengatasi trauma yang sifatnya massal, telah dilakukan program konseling trauma khususnya kepada anak-anak dan remaja berbasis kepada kommuniti. Program tersebut melibatkan berbagai kalangan termasuk tokoh masyarakat, guru setempat dan masyarakat yang juga menjadi penyintas. Dengan demikian, masyarakat yang dapat ditangani lebih luas, lebih merata, dan lebih cepat dalam menyelesaikan masalah psikologis para korban. Intervensi dan pemulihan trauma tersebut dapat mempercepat kefungsian sosial mereka dalam keluarga dan sekolah, menyesuaikan secara sosial dan menjalankan aktivitas secara wajar, meningkatkan saling memberikan dukungan sosial antar anggota kelompok yang partisipasi dalam intervensi komunitas, serta dapat meningkatkan social resilience. Efek intervensi berbasis komunitas adalah dapat membantu korban menyelesaikan masalah psikologis akibat pengalaman trauma. Kertas kerja ini membahas mekanisme dan prosedur intervention, strategi penanganan, serta target perubahan yang diperoleh dari penanganan dan pemulihan berdasarkan pengalaman yang terjadi di Indonesia.

Abstract

Emotional distress, such as symptoms of anxiety, depression, and withdrawal, is on the rise among teenagers today. These symptoms are generally grouped into internalizing problems. Based on research, a risk factor that contributes to internalizing problems is peer rejection. This study aims to determine the effect of peer rejection on adolescent internalizing problems. Research design is quantitative research with a multistage random sampling technique as a data collection technique. The subjects of this study were 252 adolescents aged 16-18 years who are currently studying in SMA in Bondowoso Regency, consisting of 103 boys (M = 40.068; SD = 13.283) and 149 girls (M = 40.893; SD =13.283). The instruments used were Social Peer Rejection Measure (21 items, α = .90) and Strengths and Difficulty Questionnaire (SDQ), just for internalizing problems (10 items, α = .72). The results of the analysis test using simple linear regression showed that there was a positive influence of peer rejection on internalizing problems in high school adolescents in Bondowoso Regency, adjusted R 2 = .278; F(4, 427) = 251, p = .000). This influence shows that the more often adolescents experience rejection from their peers, the higher the chances of experiencing internalizing problems.

Abstract

Abstract : The work engagement of Indonesian National Police can provide a good performance to organization. One of the factors that can improve hope towards work engagement of Indonesian National Police is the style of leadership. Therefore, aiming to identify the influence of authentic leadership over work engagement, this study applies hope as the mediator variable. Using non-experimental quantitative as the research design, the subject involves 163 members of Sabhara Division of Indonesian National Police performing purposive sampling. The instrument of work engagement data collection is measured using Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES-17), authentic leadership using Authentic Leadership Questionnaire (ALQ), and hope using the Adult State Hope Scale (ASHS). The data is analyzed using Mediated Regression Analysis (MRA) process by Hayes. The result shows that (1) authentic leadership positively impacts on work engagement, (2) authentic leadership positively impacts on hope, (3) hope positively impacts on work engagement, and (4) hope performs as the mediator of the influence of authentic leadership on work engagement. Gaya kepemimpinan di organisasi merupakan faktor yang meningkatkan hope terhadap work engagement anggota Polri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh antara authentic leadership terhadap work engagement dengan hope sebagai variabel meditor. Desain penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif non eksperimental. Subjek penelitian ini adalah anggota Polri Divisi Sabhara berjumlah 163 anggota kepolisian, dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen pengumpulan data work engagement diukur menggunakan Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES-17), authentic leadership diukur menggunakan Authentic Leadership Questionnaire (ALQ), dan hope diukur menggunakan The Adult State Hope Scale (ASHS). Data dianalisis menggunakan Mediated Regression Analysis (MRA) process oleh Hayes. Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan (1) authentic leadership berpengaruh positif terhadap work engagement (2) authentic leadership berpengaruh positif terhadap hope (3) hope berpengaruh positif terhadap work engagement (4) hope berperan sebagai mediator pengaruh authentic leadership terhadap work engagement. Abstract

Academic performance, which measures a student’s success in learning, is influenced by various factors. One of the most important determinants of academic performance is social support. Parents, teachers, and friends all play a critical role in providing the necessary support that affects students’ cognitive engagement. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the relationship between social support and academic performance, which could be directly or indirectly mediated by cognitive engagement. The subjects used were 228 high school students in 11th grade, aged 15-18. Data were measured using Academic Performance Rating Scale (APRS), Child and Adolescent Social Support Scale (CASS), and Students Engagement Scale (SES) with Cronbach’s alpha values of 0.84, 0.93, and 0.88, respectively. The mediation analysis was conducted using the PROCESS model 4 developed by Hayes. The results showed that the relationship between social support and academic performance occurred through the mediation of cognitive engagement (β = 0.16), with no direct correlation (β = 0.12, p = 0.350). Specifically, more excellent social support was associated with increased cognitive engagement (β = 0.50, p = 0.000), leading to improved academic performance (β = 0.32, p = 0.005). Therefore, it was confirmed that social support is essential to students’ cognitive engagement and academic performance.

Abstract

Accredited and global journals increasingly emphasize the necessity of Mendeley-based article writing. Many authors still rely on manual citation and bibliography creation, which is time-consuming and prone to errors. This study addresses the challenges faced by students in managing bibliographies and avoiding plagiarism due to the manual process. By leveraging Mendeley's automatic bibliography generation, students can significantly improve the quality and efficiency of their scientific writing. This community service activity involved a combination of lectures, discussions, and technical guidance (BIMTEK) to enhance students' understanding and skills in using Mendeley. The results showed a marked improvement in participants' ability to install and utilize the software effectively. Detailed analysis of the training process and outcomes will be discussed to provide insights into best practices for mentorship and training in scientific writing.
