Abstract

Abstract

Fish-based processed products represent an important source of animal protein in Indonesia. However, their quality and safety remain a concern due to the possible use of hazardous additives and the low awareness of halal compliance. This study aims to analyze protein content, Total Volatile Base Nitrogen (TVB-N), and formalin levels in various fish products and to evaluate their suitability with the halal–thayyib principles based on Qur’anic guidelines. The samples examined included fish balls, fish cakes, fish nuggets, dim sum, canned crab, milkfish, catfish, smoked manyung, salted squid, shrimp, and dried anchovies, obtained from traditional markets and small-scale processing units. Protein content was determined using the Kjeldahl method, while TVB-N measurement and formalin detection followed Indonesian National Standards (SNI). The results showed that several products met the protein requirements, whereas some samples contained excessively high TVB-N levels and unsafe formalin concentrations, posing potential health risks and violating halal food integrity. These findings highlight the need for improved hygienic processing, stricter quality control, and stronger consumer awareness regarding halal labels and nutritional transparency to ensure that fish products are safe, nutritious, and compliant with Islamic dietary principles.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the types of teaching materials used in each class program on the Edufic.id online platform. In addition, this study also aims to identify the PAI learning strategies applied and analyze the implications of applying these strategies on students' learning experiences and parental involvement in supporting their children's development. This research uses a qualitative method with a virtual ethnography approach. Data collection techniques obtained by online observation through posting content uploaded by the Edufic.id Instagram account platform. The results of this study indicate that the PAI learning strategy on the Edufic.id online platform is carried out in several ways namely, first, learning strategies by integrating the United Kingdom curriculum with the Islamic curriculum of Al-Azhar, Egypt. Second, the selection of learning methods that are adapted to the characteristics of children’s developmental age (fun-based learning). Third, the use of digital media in learning aims to create a more interactive learning process, and fourth, online-based evaluation strategies that involve parents, so that parents can observe their children’s learning development holistically.

Abstract

Teacher-student relationships within the Islamic educational tradition are frequently characterized by a unidirectional, vertical hierarchy in which the student is relegated to a passive recipient of knowledge. This power imbalance often triggers pedagogical stagnation and, in extreme cases, manifests as physical violence or emotional detachment. This study proposes a paradigm shift by re-envisioning the dynamics of teacher-student relations through the lens of Mubādalah (Reciprocity). Employing a qualitative approach grounded in hermeneutic analysis, this paper deconstructs the conventional "subject-object" dichotomy and replaces it with a "subject-to-subject" partnership grounded in Mubādalah principles. The analysis applies a three-step Mubādalah framework: first, identifying universal Islamic principles of justice; second, extracting core pedagogical values from religious texts; and third, reciprocally distributing these values to both teachers and students. The findings demonstrate that applying Mubādalah to teacher-student relations transforms the classroom into a space of mutual dignity, where both parties become active participants in a shared spiritual and intellectual journey. This reciprocal model does not diminish the teacher's role but reframes their position from an absolute authority to a mentor and facilitator grounded in compassion (raḥmah). Ultimately, this research contributes to the discourse on Islamic educational reform by providing a theological and methodological foundation for creating non-violent, egalitarian, and harmonious learning environments suited to the challenges of the 21st century.
