Abstract

The fifth generation (5G) architecture represents the most recent advancement in mobile networks and is presently operational in various global places. Several new use cases and applications have been introduced, with a specific focus on improving throughput, reducing latency, minimising packet loss, optimising CPU usage, and maximising memory utilisation. In order to effectively address each scenario, it is necessary to integrate the most advanced technology, putting in significant effort to optimise resources and ensure system adaptability. This strategy will establish an architecture capable of accommodating many scenarios of a shared physical infrastructure by using techniques such as virtualization and cloud-based service deployment. Therefore, in this study, a test was carried out related to the performance of the 5G core network (CN) on bare metal servers and virtual private servers (VPSs). The quality of service (QoS) using Wireshark and Iperf3 is tested by utilizing ‘cpustat’ and free tools. The results of performance comparisons of these two methods on the 5G CN shows throughput values of ≥10 Gbps ≤20 Gbps, latency values of ≤4 ms, and packet loss values of 0%, in accordance with IMT 2020 standards. Thus, the ideal 5G CN services can be realized.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenerapan teknologi Long Term Evolution (LTE) di Indonesia belum optimal dalam pengalokasian spektrum dikarenakan keterbatasan spektrum, untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut 3GPP mengeluarkan teknologi terbaru yaitu LTEAdvanced yang mendukung fitur carrier aggregation (CA) yang memberikan throughput yang lebih tinggi dengan penggunaan spektrum yang lebih efisien. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan perencanaan jaringan LTE-Advanced menggunakan metode inter-band CA dengan menggabungkan dua band frequency yang berbeda yaitu bandwith 5 MHz di band 5 (850 MHz) dan bandwidth 10 MHz di band 3 (1800 MHz). Untuk mendapatkan performansi yang maksimal perencanaan jaringan LTE dan LTE-A dikombinasikan dengan penggunaan skema Physical Cell Identity (PCI) dan Soft Frequency Reuse (SFR). Penggunaan PCI meningkatkan SINR sebesar 1 dB dan throughput meningkat sebesar 200 Kbps, sedangkan penggunaan skema SFR meningkatkan SINR sebesar 9 dB dan throughput meningkat sebesar 13 Mbps.Kata kunci: LTE-Advanced, PCI, SFR, Carrier Aggregation. ABSTRACTThe implementation of Long Term Evolution (LTE) technology in Indonesia has not been optimal due to spectrum limitations. To overcome the problem, 3GPP issued the latest technology, i.e. LTE-Advanced, to support the carrier aggregation (CA) feature that provides higher throughput with more efficient spectrum usage. In this study, LTE-Advanced network planning was performed using the inter-band CA method by combining two different band frequencies, namely 5 MHz bandwidth on Band 5 (850 MHz) and 10 MHz bandwidth on Band 3 (1800 MHz). In addition, to generate maximum performance, the LTE and LTEA networks planning was combined with the use of Physical Cell Identity (PCI) and Soft Frequency Reuse (SFR) schemes. The use of the PCI managed to increase SINR by 1 dB and throughput by 200 Kbps, while the use of SFR scheme managed to increase SINR by 9 dB and throughput by 13 Mbps.Keywords: LTE-Advanced, PCI, SFR, Carrier Aggregation.

Abstract

ABSTRAKBerdasarkan hasil pengukuran di Grand Asia Afrika (GAA) diketahui terdapat peningkatan kualitas jaringan setelah pemasangan unit COMBAT selama 7 hari. RSRP ≥ -95 dBm sebelumnya sebesar 75,70% menjadi 100%, SINR ≥ 0 dB dari 53,58% menjadi 97,54%, dan throughput ≥ 8 Mbps sebelumnya sebesar 48,12% menjadi 89,55%. Untuk mempertahankan kualitas tersebut maka dibangunlah small cell. Perencanaan menerapkan metode inter-band carrier aggregation pada heterogen network LTE dengan skema CADS4 sebagai pengganti unit COMBAT. Tujuan perencanaan ini adalah extended throughput dan agar kualitas layanan pada beban trafik tinggi tetap baik. Macro cell sebagai Primary Cell (PCell) pada band-1 2100 MHz dan micro cell sebagai Secondary Cell (SCell) pada band-3 1800 MHz. Hasil perencanaan menunjukkan telah memenuhi standar RF Parameter LTE yaitu RSRP sebesar -92,65 dBm, SINR sebesar 16,55 dB, throughput sebesar 1,062 Mbps, dan user connected 97%.Kata kunci: LTE-A, heterogen network, CADS4, Great Asia Afrika Bandung ABSTRACTBased on the report on the development of temporary sites in the tourist area of Great Asia Africa (GAA), it shows that the DRR rate is> 90% in the sectors leading to GAA. From the measurement, it is known that there is an increase in network quality after installing the COMBAT unit for 7 days. For RSRP ≥ -95 dBm, the previous amount was 75.70% to 100.00%, for SINR ≥ 0 dB previously it was 53.58% to 97.54%, and for throughput ≥ 8 Mbps the previous was 48.12% to 89,55%. To maintain the quality of the network, small cells were built to cover the GAA area. Planning to apply the inter-band carrier aggregation method to the heterogeneous LTE network with the CADS4 scheme to replace the COMBAT unit. The purpose of planning is to provide extended throughput and so that the service quality at high traffic loads remains good. The configuration used is a macro cell as a Primary Cell (PCell) in the band-1 2100 MHz and a micro cell as a Secondry Cell (SCell) in the 1800 MHz band-3. The results of the planning meet the LTE parameter RF standards, RSRP of -92.65 dBm, SINR of 16.55 dB, throughput of 1.062 Mbps, and users connected to 97%.Keywords: LTE-A, heterogen network, CADS4, Great Asia Afrika Bandung

Abstract

ABSTRAKSaat ini penggunaan telepon seluler tidak hanya untuk komunikasi suara, melainkan juga untuk komunikasi data. Kota Semarang merupakan salah satu kota besar dengan jumlah pengguna telepon seluler yang banyak. Kondisi ini membutuhkan dukungan kualitas jaringan yang optimal dan kecepatan akses yang tinggi.  Pada penelitian ini dilakukan pengujian kualitas sinyal jaringan UMTS di kota tersebut. Pengukuran dilakukan dengan metode drive test menggunakan software TEMS dan Map info dalam pengolahan datanya. Ada beberapa parameter pengamatan dalam kegiatan pengukuran kualitas jaringan UMTS ini diantaranya RSCP (Receive Signal Code Power), Ec/No, Throughput dan KPI (Key Performance indicator). Setelah dilakukan pengukuran dan analisis perlu dilakukan proses simulasi optimasi yang dilakukan menggunakan software Atoll 3.2.1. Dari hasil pengukuran diperoleh nilai parameter RSCP, Ec/No, dan Throughput berturut-turut sebesar 68,45%, 91%, dan 52.2%. Setelah dilakukan simulasi optimasi terjadi peningkatan nilai parameter RSCP dan Ec/Noberturut-turut sebesar 97.28% dan 99.74%.Kata kunci: UMTS, Drive Test, Map Info, Atoll, KPI.ABSTRACTToday the use of mobile phone is not only for voice communication but also for data communications (mobile Internet). There are a lot of mobile phone users in Semarang, so that it requires the support of a good network quality and high-speed access. In this research, it will test and measure the signal quality UMTS network. The measurement is done with drive test method by using TEMS and Map Info software. There are several parameters of observation in quality measurement of UMTS network. They are RSCP (Received Signal Code Power), Ec/No , Throughput and KPI (Key Performance Indicator). After measurement and analysis it is needed to simulate the optimization recommendations process by using Atoll 3.2.1. to the observation’s parameters. From the measurement results obtained parameter values RSCP, Ec/No , and Throughput, respectively: 68.45, 91% and 52.2%. After the optimization simulation the value are increase significantly to the parameter value of RSCP and Ec/No respectively  97.28% and 99.74%.Keywords: UMTS, Drive Test, Map Info, Atoll, KPI.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian kali ini mengamati data Operating Support System (OSS) operator untuk wilayah Ciparay Bandung. Berdasarkan data OSS, Ciparay memiliki penetrasi jaringan LTE-A sebesar 90%, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa trafik di area tersebut sangat padat. Selain itu, nilai throughput jaringan LTE-A di area ini hanya sebesar 6.8 Mbps. Hal ini masih belum memenuhi standar operator dimana throughput > 16 Mbps. Untuk mengatasi hal ini, dilakukan optimalisasi penggunaan frekuensi dan peningkatan throughput menggunakan metode Carrier Aggregation Deployment Scenario 2 (CADS2) dimana dilakukan penggabungan dua buah component carrier pada bandwidth 15 MHz di band 3 (1800 MHz) dan bandwidth 20 di band 40 (2300 MHz). Dimana pada skenario I, band 3 dijadikan primary cell dan band 40 dijadikan secondary cell. Sedangkan pada skenario II, band 40 dijadikan primay cell dan band 3 dijadikan secondary cell. Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu terjadi peningkatan rata-rata throughput sebesar 94,87 %.Kata kunci: LTE-A, OSS operator, CADS2, throughput, Ciparay Bandung ABSTRACTThis research examines operator Operating Support System (OSS) data for the Ciparay area of Bandung. Based on OSS data, Ciparay has an LTE-A network penetration of 90%, this shows that the traffic in the area is very dense. In addition, the value of LTE-A network throughput in this area is only 6.8 Mbps. This still does not meet operator standards where throughput is> 16 Mbps. To overcome this, optimization of frequency usage and increase in throughput are carried out using the Carrier Aggregation Deployment Scenario 2 (CADS2) method by combining two carrier components on a 15 MHz bandwidth in band 3 (1800 MHz) and bandwidth 20 in band 40 (2300 MHz) . In scenario I, band 3 is set as a primary cell and band 40 is set as a secondary cell, whereas in scenario II, band 40 is set as a primay cell and band 3 is set as a secondary cell. ABSTRAKBerdasarkan hasil survei dan drive test menggunakan standar operator 3 di wilayah Jalan Kebon Kopi, Kota Cimahi, bahwa nilai parameter LTE yang diperoleh masuk kategori buruk. Hal ini ditunjukkan oleh nilai parameter RSRP <-90 dBm, SINR <5 dB, dan throughput <1 Mbps. Selain itu dari identifikasi Operating Support System (OSS) operator 3 menunjukkan bahwa konsumsi trafik telekomunikasi di wilayah tersebut tinggi. Oleh sebab itu dilakukan perencanaan microcell pada band 3 FDD LTE 1800 MHz menggunakan metode cell splitting. Metode cell splitting ini berperan dalam menghasilkan sel-sel baru dan menyediakan lebih banyak kanal guna memperbaiki performansi serta meningkatkan kapasitas jaringan LTE. Hasil simulasi perencanaan menunjukkan peningkatan nilai rata-rata RSRP sebesar 8,28 dBm, SINR sebesar 3,6 dB, dan throughput sebesar 1.475 Mbps.Kata kunci: kota Cimahi, microcell, cell splitting, LTE, performansi ABSTRACTBased on survey results and drive tests using the operator 3 standard in the Kebon Kopi Street area, Cimahi City, the LTE parameter values obtained are in the bad category. This is indicated by RSRP parameter values <-90 dBm, SINR <5 dB, and throughput <1 Mbps. Besides that, from the identification of the Operating Support System (OSS) the operator 3 shows that consumption of telecommunications traffic in the region is high. Therefore, microcell planning on the 3 band FDD LTE 1800 MHz was carried out using the cell splitting method. This cell splitting method plays a role in generating new cells and providing more channels to improve performance and increase LTE network capacity. Planning simulation results show an increase in the average RSRP value of 8.28 dBm, SINR of 3.6 dB, and throughput of 1.475 Mbps.Keywords: Cimahi city, microcell, cell splitting, LTE, performance

Abstract

This paper explores the implementation of the Soft Frequency Reuse (SFR) algorithm to optimize interference management in LTE networks. Using Bandung City as a case study, the research evaluates performance metrics such as SINR and throughput across dense urban, urban, and suburban areas. The study employs the Cost-231 propagation model and proportional SINR-based resource allocation to optimize network planning. Results demonstrate that SFR effectively balances resource allocation and interference mitigation under varying traffic conditions, providing practical insights for network operators. These findings validate SFR’s capability to improve LTE network performance across diverse environments.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to implement hydroponic farming in the PKK group of RW 08, Cipagalo Village, Bandung Regency, as an effort to support local food security. Hydroponics is a farming method that does not use soil but instead relies on water enriched with essential nutrients required by plants. This method was chosen due to its efficiency in land and water usage, as well as its ability to produce faster and higher-quality harvests. The training and implementation of hydroponic farming involved the women of the PKK group as the primary participants, with the goal of enhancing their knowledge and skills in modern farming techniques. This activity also aims to empower the local community, especially women, to support family and community food security. In the context of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), this initiative contributes to several objectives, including zero hunger, decent work and economic growth, and sustainable cities and communities..The results of this activity demonstrate that hydroponic farming can be successfully applied in the PKK environment of RW 08, Cipagalo Village. The training participants were able to master basic hydroponic techniques and independently produce fresh vegetables. Additionally, this program successfully raised community awareness about the importance of food security and environmental sustainability

Abstract

Di era kemajuan teknologi dan algoritma canggih yang memudahkan hidup manusia, kunci pintar pengenalan wajah merupakan sistem yang menggunakan salah satu algoritma tersebut dan mengatasi masalah keamanan dalam teknologi rumah pintar. Kunci pintar ini dapat dipasang di dekat pintu untuk memantau rumah, perusahaan, dan universitas. Masalah dengan solusi kunci pintar pengenalan wajah saat ini adalah bahwa kunci pintar tersebut kurang cepat dan tepat. Pintu merupakan salah satu komponen bangunan yang perlu diperhatikan keamanannya untuk mencegah upaya pencurian. Bangunan yang memiliki banyak ruang harus memiliki pintu dengan sistem keamanan yang kuat, salah satunya adalah hotel. Alat yang sering digunakan untuk mengakses kamar hotel adalah RFID. Mobil RFID memiliki banyak kekurangan, antara lain tamu sering meninggalkan kartu RFID mereka di kamar sehingga mereka tidak dapat lagi memasuki kamar dan harus melapor ke resepsionis terlebih dahulu, kartu RFID juga mudah hilang sehingga tamu yang kehilangan kartu RFID akan didenda sebagai biaya penggantian kartu. Oleh karena itu, dibuatlah sistem keamanan pintu menggunakan pengenalan wajah dengan algoritma YOLO. Algoritma YOLO digunakan untuk mendeteksi wajah siapa saja yang ingin mengakses pintu. Hasil pengujiannya adalah sistem dapat mendeteksi wajah dengan tingkat akurasi 94,4%.

Abstract

Desa Wisata Patengan menghadapi berbagai kendala dalam pemasaran digital yang menghambat potensi wisata. Kendala utama meliputi kurangnya media komunikasi yang terintegrasi, rendahnya literasi digital perangkat desa, serta minimnya pengetahuan masyarakat terkait pemasaran digital. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan akses informasi bagi calon wisatawan melalui pembangunan situs web yang informatif dan mudah diakses, sekaligus memberikan pelatihan pemasaran digital kepada perangkat desa. Metode pelaksanaan melibatkan tahapan observasi dan wawancara untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan desa, diikuti oleh proses pembangunan situs web dan pelatihan digital marketing. Situs web yang dibangun memuat informasi lengkap tentang daya tarik wisata, fasilitas, layanan desa, serta kegiatan budaya yang dapat dinikmati wisatawan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam aksesibilitas informasi wisata desa. Selain itu, pelatihan yang diberikan berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman perangkat desa mengenai penggunaan teknologi digital untuk mendukung promosi dan pemasaran wisata. Program ini diharapkan mampu mendukung pertumbuhan sektor pariwisata di Desa Wisata Patengan dengan menarik lebih banyak wisatawan, meningkatkan pendapatan lokal, serta mendukung kesejahteraan masyarakat secara berkelanjutan. Dengan penerapan teknologi digital yang optimal, Desa Wisata Patengan dapat menjadi contoh desa wisata yang berhasil mengintegrasikan inovasi digital untuk kemajuan pariwisata dan pembangunan desa.
