Abstract

The puposes of this research is to examine the diversity of fruit-producing trees that can be consumed. The object of this research are all fruit-producing trees in the plot or observation path, which is the limitation is the fruits that can be consumed by human. This research have been done at IUPHHK-HTI PT. Bhatara Alam Lestari. The printed path has been used to determine the plots and observation paths of fruit-producing trees diversity that can be consumed on the ground. The result of the research found that there are 12 kinds of tree producers offorest fruit consumption, they are asam-asam, cempedak hutan, durian hutan, jungkang, kandis, kelampai, keranji, medang asam, nyatoh/sangai, petai hutan, rambutan hutan, ubah. The value of the dominant index (C) at the research area is quite poor, because the value of the dominant index from all the lane is not reached the highest index value of dominance yet (C-1). This indicates that the community not found one or two tree producing fruit consumption who dominated on a community forest secondary , while index value diversity its kind low because less than the value 1 , this showed that on a community many those kinds of composing under each organizations research is low. To value index provided the global financing of other firms ahmad abundance of offerings shared with or far higher than those, because the pattern of spreading on this community can be equally on each its kind.Keyword: Diversity, tree producing fruit, secondary forest

Abstract

Peatlands is one of the ecosystem types in tropical rainforests. Peatland has very high conservation value and other functions such as the hydrological function carbon stocks, and biodiversity which is important for environmental comfort and animal life. The purpose of this study was to obtain information about the impact of fires on the physical and chemical properties of burning and non burning peat soils. This study carried out a field survey method with deliberate sampling (purposive sampling). The results showed that the physical and chemical properties of peat soil after a fire did not change, namely at soil temperature, air humidity was almost the same while the air temperature, soil moisture, pH, C-organic, depth, C/N (0-20 cm) has increased but not significantly. For the chemical properties of peat soil after fire there is an increase in the value of C-organic, CEC, phosphorus, sulfur, ash content, N-total depth (21-40 cm). this means that after fires the nutrients mostly affect peat soil. From the information on the nature of peat soil obtained in land restoration studies to use qualitative soil after burning. Keywords: Burn, chemical pea soil, Peatlands, Physicalpeat soil.

Abstract

Peatland is a weatland ecosystem formed by the accumulation of organic matter on the forest floor from the debris of the vegetation above it for a long time. This process occurs because of the slow rate of decomposition compared to the rate of deposition of organic matter on the wet/inundated forest floor. This study aims to determine the vegetation species diversity found in the peat swamp forest of the area of Gunung Ambawang protected forest in Kubu Sub-District of Kubu Raya Regency. The method used in this study is a plot method with the initial determination of the plot carried out through purposive sampling then the other plots were carried out by systematic sampling. Observation of forest compositionwas made in 5 (five) observation plots, with a length of 200 m, width of each plot being 20 m and distance between plots 100 m. The research found 39 species of vegetation dominated by medang species (Litsea sp) of the Lauraceae family, which is the most common vegetation found in the peat swamp forest area in the protected forest og Gunung Ambawang. Keywords: peat swamp forest, protection forest, species diversity

Abstract

The research was conducted in the Bukit Senja City Forest Area, Middle Singkawang  District, Singkawang City. The purpose of the research was to find out diversity of forest vegetation in the city forest and vegetation which dominate the forest. The research was carried out for ± 4 weeks in the field and continued to analysis data. Method used in the research is direct observation through the analysis of vegetation in the field by using a line of paved paths made in a direction perpendicular to the contour with 4 lines each path = 500m with lane 1 as many as 25 plots, lane 2 as many as 25 plots, lane 3 as many 19 plots and lanes 4 of 25 plots. Based on analysis on data there were dominant trees which filled the forest based on INP seed, namely Durian 78.828%, Karet 53.480% and Jelatung 22.81%. According to the type of tillers namely Karet 34.58%, Durian 26.02%, and Simpur 23.97%. From the quantitative analysis it showed that be seen that in the index value dominant  (C) of a species is <1, which means the kind of go contained in the research is varies not only is controlled by one kind of. Diversity Type (H ') is in the group <1 which means it has a moderate Diversity Index (1 <H' <3). Abundant index (e) results show that the value of E => 0.6, which means that the type of abundant is high. Keywords: Bukit Senja Singkawang middle, City Forest, Vegetation Species Diversity

Abstract

Arboretum Sylva UNTAN is an ex-situ germplasm conservation area, which has a variety of trees and undergrowth plants including epiphytes. Epiphytic orchids are orchids that grow riding on other plants, but do not harm the host plant. It is important to know the type of epiphytes that hitchhike on host plant can help management in the conservation of the area. For this reason, Epiphytic orchids and their host plant need to be done. This study uses a survey method, with census data collection techniques. Based on the results of the study, 49 types of epiphytic orchids were found as epiphytic orchids belonging to 23 genera and 36 host plant species. Epiphytic orchids that oppose the genus Bulbophyllum and Dendrobium. The dominance of the highest tree species in Acacia sp and A. pavonina. It has nothing to do with epiphytes with host plant species, but epiphytic orchids mostly found on the cantilever plant that has thicker bark, groove bark, stringy bark and a tough bark. Abiotic conditions The environment can distinguish species in the block area. Keywords: Epiphytes orchids, identification, Arboretum Sylva UNTAN.
