Abstract

Tourism science has been recognized as a scientific discipline in Indonesia since 2008. However, because of this interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary genealogy, it creates many scientific problems. The purpose of this paper is to understanding concept and theory of tourism science that very complex. The research was conducted in Bali, using qualitative methodology with library study methods, observation and in-depth interviews. The technique of determining informants used purposive sampling and qualitative data analysis techniques. The results of the study show that the concepts and theories of tourism are still largely referring to previously established sciences with many borrowing concepts, theories and other scientific methods. This fact make “the big machine of concept and theory” trigger as a blind spot. Very natural for a new science with interest wide ranging subject / object of research. Such an approach, the research findings that blind spot phenomenon in tourism research can be solved. In the industrial revolution 4.0 era, for existence tourism science more research must produce new concepts, theories and innovations. Keywords: Concept, theory, blind spot, science, tourism

Abstract

The selection of this research topic is based on the seriousness of Semarang City Government to maximize the potential of culinary tourism. The development of culinary tourism is expected to support the existing tourism in SemarangCity. In this study,the researchers chose WaroengSemawis as the main focus of the research location. WaroengSemawis is a culinary night market located in the Chinatown area in ??Semarang City. Initially,WaroengSemawis was just a Lunar New Year SemawisMarket held only days before the Lunar New Yearday, but since 2004 WaroengSemawis became a regular event every weekend. There are many types of culinary available there, ranging from local cuisine to typical Chinese cuisine. In addition,there are also many historical Chinese templessurroundingWaroengSemawis area that have their own history as well. The purpose of this research is to analyze the potential of culinary tourism and the development strategy of the culinary tourism particularly at WaroengSemawis in Semarang City. The data usediin thisiresearchiis theitypeiof qualitativeiidata, whileitheidataisourceiisiprimaryidataiandisecondaryiidata. Data collection is done by observation, interview, literature study, and documentation. Data analysis techniqueusedin this study is SWOT to find out what strategies can be used. The results of this study indicate that there are still some shortcomings that must be developed by the management of WaroengSemawis. Theneed of additional public toilets, parking lots, as well as the addition of traditional culinary or culinary types of Semarang. By increasing some of these facilities, it can help boostingthe amenity and interest of tourists to visit WaroengSemawis so that it can leave a good impression on the tourists. Abstract

This study aims to examine the participation of local communities in the development of the Batur Geopark tourist area in Kintamani, Bangli Regency regarding the participation of local communities in the development of the Batur Geopark tourist area, the obstacles faced by local communities in the development of the Batur Geopark tourist area, and the efforts made by the Government in developing the tourist area Batur Geopark. In this study the data collected through interviews, observations, literature studies, documentation studies, and the Community then analyzed the data using qualitative descriptive data analysis techniques. The presentation of data analysis in this study was carried out qualitatively through verbal delivery with interpretative descriptive techniques. The results of this study indicate that in the development of the Batur Geopark tourist area there are still several obstacles faced in its development. The government's efforts in developing the Batur Geopark tourist area are: the formation of a tourism awareness group, tightening permits for facility construction, establishing a management agency, procuring tourism facilities, improving the road infrastructure, structuring material excavation at the foot of Mount Batur, holding promotions, and providing tourism training. The forms of community participation in the development of the Batur Geopark tourist area are: preserving the biodiversity of flora and fauna, building tourism facilities, developing the typical Kintamani major culinary, cultural preservation, taking jobs in the tourism sector, nature conservation, and the formation of security officers. Abstract

Tourismmorphosis in Badung regency, Banyuwangi regency and Luwu Timur regency is field research to understanding developing of tourism as tourism evolution analysis. Tourismmorphosis analyzed was postmodern evolution approach with case study and qualitative methods to find tourism developing stages. Begin from the introduction stage, reaction stage, institutionalization stage and compromise stage. The research novelty described that Badung Regency having reached the compromise stage, Banyuwangi Regency reached the institutionalization stage and Luwu Timur regency just started to the introductory stage. The prediction of tourism development future in Badung regency will permanent at the compromise stage, Banyuwangi Regency stay at the institutionalization stage, and Luwu Timur district will enter the reaction stage within ten until fifteen years letters.

Abstract

This study is inspired by the existence of Bukit Darma Durga Kutri Temple located in Kutri Pekraman Village in Buruan Village, Blahbatuh Sub-regency, Gianyar Regency. Bukit Darma Durga Kutri Temple as an archaeological heritage possesses tourism potentials if it is managed holistically. This study aims to develop a strategy for the development of Kutri Pekraman Village with the tourist attractions that it has in store as a tourist village. This study employs the qualitative paradigm paired with a combination of both the qualitative and qualitative methods (mixed methods) and the SWOT analysis as the data analysis technique. The research method used is a combination of both the quantitative and qualitative methods with the qualitative paradigm as the main approach to the study. As for the sampling, qualitatively the technique used is the purposive sampling technique where there are four informants, and quantitatively the technique used is the total sampling technique where there are 100 respondents from the local residents and 15 foreign tourists. The result of the study indicates that the people of Kutri Pekraman Village in Buruan, Blahbatuh Sub-regency, Gianyar Regency are ready to carry out the development of a tourist village using all tourism potentials that are considered to be very attractive for tourists. The result of the analysis points to the strategy of future tourism development as a tourist village with the approach of alternative tourism (heritage tourism) with Bukit Darma Durga Kutri Temple as the core of the tourism, supported by the rice field areas which are popular among tourists for tracking and cycling activities.

Abstract

Background: The debate about tourism science has entered a new chapter with the Declaration of Tourism Science on August 24, 2006 in Jakarta which states that based on various studies, tourism has met the requirements as a science based on the philosophy of science. Tourism has now developed into a subject of knowledge that deserves to be discussed scientifically to produce scientific knowledge (science). Purpose: the purpose of compiling study materials related to the existing science in the Tourism Study Program and determining the positioning of the study program compared to study programs related to existing tourism. This research is a follow-up to the determination of the nomenclature of tourism study programs in 2017 and 2019. Method: This research is located in a number of tourism destinations that have experienced different developments at each stage. The research will be conducted in the area of Bali Province as a tourist destination that has experienced a stage of development Results:. The development of teaching materials needs to be carried out systematically based on interrelated steps to produce useful teaching materials. Tourism in Indonesia has existed since the Dutch colonial era precisely since 1910-1920 with the issuance of a decree of the Dutch Governor General named VTV (Vereneiging Touristen Verker) the start of travel activities to the Dutch East Indies (Indonesia- present). The Field of Tourism Work according to the standard classification of Indonesian business fields (KLBI) in 2020 is included in the group of arts, entertainment and recreation. In general, the Decree of the Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia Number 257 / M / KPT / 2017 concerning the Name of the Study Program in Higher Education, study programs related to tourism are included in the group of applied science clusters. The scope of the study refers to tourism development efforts consisting of the development of tourism destinations, industrial development, marketing development and tourism institutional development. Related to the application of the scope of tourism studies, it is generally divided into 2 fields of education, namely vocational education and academic education. Conclusion : The scope of what study materials are used in learning tourism science in existing conditions is more about tourism planning, tourist trips and management of accommodation and restaurants. Tourism science consists of 3 main groups, namely policies, territories and tourism businesses. The scope is more about how tourists, local communities and tourist activities are carried out

Kuta Beach is a most popular destination and many tourism business affect the economy this area. TheKuta Beach area is so empty of visitors due to the impact of covid-19. Therefore, researchers conducted ananalysis of the impact of covid-19 on the economy of the tourism business in Kuta Beach, Badung Regency.In this study using the concept of critical management, the nation a pandemic, tourism emergencyresponse, tourism business and tourism attraction the type of data used is qualitatif data. Soulced fromsecondary data. Data collection techniques used by conducting library research, observation and interview.The data analysis technique used is qualitatif data techniques.The results of this study indicate that the impect of the covid-19 pandemic the economy. Especially thetourism business economy. Abstract

This study aims to develop a sustainable tourism integration model that combines unique cultural elements and agricultural practices in Sibetan Tourism Village to diversify tourism products. Building on existing research that highlights the potential of agro-cultural tourism, this research employs a qualitative approach with descriptive interpretation, utilizing interviews and observations to gather data. The findings reveal the integration of traditional Balinese ceremonies and indigenous salak farming techniques as key attractions for tourists. Moreover, the study proposes a comprehensive agro-cultural tourism model that emphasizes collaboration among stakeholders, infrastructure development, and sustainable practices. This research contributes new insights to the field of tourism studies by illustrating the importance of leveraging local cultural and agricultural resources to create a memorable and sustainable tourist experience in rural areas. The integration of these elements offers a framework for enhancing community engagement and economic viability, addressing the need for innovative tourism solutions in the region.

Abstract

Bali, which is essentially the center of Indonesian tourism which is known by all foreign tourists, has all kinds of tourism that tourists need. One of the tourism sectors is special interest tourism, especially in rural areas. The involvement of local community participation plays an important role in the development and preservation of the environment and local resources. However, most of them work as farmers, of course they lack knowledge and experience in the field of tourism. So that in involving the community it is necessary to do training first. This study aims to analyze the form of local community involvement in Pengotan Village by using the theory of participation and the function of human resources. This research was conducted by collecting qualitative data. Data obtained from interviews and observations. After the data was obtained, the researchers analyzed the data using Miles and Huberman. The results of this study found that the Pengotan Village Community involved in Baliwoso participated actively in a top-down or bottom-up manner, starting from managerial functions to the operational functions of Upadesa Baliwoso. This provides a boost to employment opportunities or additional income by working to meet the operational needs of tourists visiting Baliwoso.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the management of tourist attractions. This study looks at tourism potential in order to determine the sustainability of the Duta Beach attraction in the future. Moreover, this study wants to see the tourist attraction management system in order to update its management which aims to provide efficiency and effectiveness in the management system of tourist attractions. This study uses an exploratory approach. Data collection was conducted through observation, interview, and documentation. The analysis technic uses qualitative methods in displaying data. The finding of this study is the tourism human capital management in Duta Beach is not ready in facing the tourism affairs phenomenon. There is conflict in the management of Duta beach attraction so it needs a solution to create efficiency and effectiveness in its management.
