Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir kritis merupakan salah satu kecakapan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Kompetensi ini dibutuhkan untuk mendukung siswa dalam berpikir dan menyelesaikan masalah dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Diperlukan identifikasi awal mengukur kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa untuk dapat menjadi acuan dalam merancang model atau strategi pembelajaran. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan matematika pada materi lingkaran, dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes kemampPemilihan subjek penelitian didasari oleh hasil observasi peneliti terhadap masalah yang ada di lapangan yang kemudian didiskusikan dengan guru mata pelajaran. Hasil pekerjaan siswa ditelaah dengan mengacu pada indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis yang telah ditetapkan oleh peneliti, yaitu interpretasi, analisis, evaluasi, dan inferensi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis matematika siswa berada pada kriteria rendah, dengan kata lain kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa belum memenuhi indikator yang optimal, yaitu interpretasi sebesar 38,24%; analisis sebesar 49,02%; evaluasi sebesar 47,3%; dan inferensi sebesar 26,47%.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' mathematical problem solving abilities using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on SPLTV material. The subjects of this research were class X SMA Kristen Kasih Kemuliaan West Jakarta, academic year 2022/2023. This type of research was Classroom Action Research (PTK) which was conducted in two cycles, namely cycle I and cycle II. The instrument used to measure students' mathematical problem solving abilities is student learning outcomes through a pre-test at the pre-cycle and post-test at the end of each cycle. The results of this study indicate that the application of the PBL learning model used with indicators of understanding the problem, discussing in groups to plan a solution, and explaining/checking the correctness of the answers obtained can improve students' problem solving abilities. This was proven by an increase in the percentage of students who were able to achieve the KKM obtained from the post-test in cycle I and cycle II compared to the results of the pre-test in the pre-cycle. In the pre-cycle the percentage of students who were able to achieve KKM from the pre-test results was 20.68%, the first cycle post-test results were 41.72%, and the second cycle post-test results were 86.20%. Thus the use of the PBL learning model can be used as a learning model to be applied to learning mathematics.

Abstract

Pembelajaran pada era globalisasi dengan kemajuan teknologi memberi dampak positif dan negative bagi kualitas pembelajaran. Penelitian tindakan kelas berupaya meningkatkan kualitas keterampilan berpikir kritis matematis peserta didik dengan meminimalkan perilaku prokrastinasi akademik dengan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan google classroom. Penelitian dilakukan di kelas X MIPA SMAS YP IPPI Jakarta dengan jumlah 40 peserta didik. Jenis penelitian tindakan kelas terdiri dari tiga siklus. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas enam subjek penelitian dengan satu observer yang berprofesi sebagai guru bidang studi matematika. Teknik analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kualatif. Hasil dari penelitian disebutkan bahwa terjadinya peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa dengan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning serta penurunan prilaku prokrastinasi akademik siswa dengan penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berbantuan google clasroom. Namun dalam penerapannya, perlu dibuat model pembelajaran yang bervariasi sehingga kualitas pembelajaran lebih baik dan menurunkan perilaku prokrastinasi akademik peserta didik.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain empirical information about the effect of implementing the ICARE learning model (Introduction, Connect, Apply, Reflect, Extend) in distance learning on students’ problem-solving abilities at SMK Negeri 2 Karawang. The research method used was a quasi-experimental with posttest-only control group design. The population in this study were all class X students at SMK Negeri 2 Karawang. Sampling using Cluster Random Sampling to determine the affordable population and Simple Random Sampling to determine the sample. Class X TB 1 was chosen to be the experimental class and class X TB 3 was selected as the control class. The results of the statistical hypothesis testing were then carried out using the the-test of two independent samples with a significant level of 5% concluded that the mean test results of students' mathematical problem-solving abilities in the experimental class were higher than the control class. The large effect test carried out obtained the result of d = 0.8, this shows that the ICARE learning model in distance learning has a significant effect on the mathematical problem-solving abilities of students at SMK Negeri 2 Karawang on the sequence and series material. The influence given is 79% and is included in the large category. Abstract

Berada di kawasan Ring of Fire atau Cincin Api Pasifik menjadikan Indonesia wilayah yang rawan letusan gunung berapi, gempa dan tsunami. Tsunami adalah ombak yang terjadi setelah suatu gempa, gunung meletus atau hantaman meteor di laut. Banyak sekali kerugian yang didapat manusia ketika terjadinya tsunami sehingga banyak peneliti yang memodelkan penjalaran gelombang tsunami. Penjalaran gelombang tsunami dapat dikaji dengan berbagai teori, salah satunya menggunakan teori perairan air dangkal. Akan tetapi, model tersebut tidak bisa diselesaikan secara analitik. Untuk itu diperlukan pendekatan secara numerik sehingga didapat penyelesaian yang mendekati solusi sejatinya. Metode Optimal Time Stepping merupakan salah satu metode untuk mendapatkan solusi numerik dari persamaan diferensial parsial. Metode ini juga membutuhkan waktu yang lebih sedikit dan lebih akurat jika dibandingkan dengan metode lain. Penelitian ini akan mensimulasikan penjalaran gelombang tsunami dengan menggunakan metode Optimal Time Stepping.

Abstract

Estimation is one method for approximation. The estimation method is the polynomial interpolation. Once of polynomial interpolation are Lagrange method and Newton Gregory method. In several references, the degrees of interpolation which is used on the Lagrange method or Newton Gregory method depends on the numbers of data. This paper was created to knowing the optimum degrees to interpolate 61 numbers of data. In this paper, points are determined to interpolate so that formed intervals of equal length. As for the degrees to be tested, namely degrees 2,4,5,10, and 20. Based on MAPE and MSE values for degree 2 are lower than degrees 4,5,10 and 20 in both methods so that the interpolation of the Lagrange and Newton Gregory degrees 2 is better than degrees 4,5,10, and 20.

Abstract

Radicalization is a process by which individuals adopt political, social, and religious ideologies that lead to violence. Violent behavior in the radicalization process is the reason that radicalism is considered the cause of acts of terrorism. Therefore, to reduce this radicalization process, a deradicalization program is carried out. Deradicalization is an attempt to persuade adherents of radicalism to leave this notion. In order to determine the level of spread of radicalization, a mathematical model of deradicalization was made. The model consists of four compartments, namely, Susceptible, Extrimist, Recruiters, and Treatment. The model is analyzed by determining the equilibrium point and determining the base reproduction number ( ℜ0). If ℜ0<1 then the system will be locally asymptotically stable, and if ℜ0>1 then the system will be unstable. The simulation is carried out with the data that has been obtained, with the individual displacement parameters from the Extrimist compartment to the Treatment compartment with a value of 0.05 and the individual displacement from the Recruiters compartment to the Treatment compartment with a value of 0.165, simulation results show a graph that is stable to the point of endemic equilibrium. Meanwhile, if the value of individual displacement from the Extrimist and Recruiters compartments to the Treatment compartment is 0.5, the simulation results show that the graph gradually goes to zero.

Abstract

Word of mouth marketing based on community brands makes companies target communities that are in accordance with product characteristics so that word of mouth marketing becomes more effective. This thesis focuses on modeling and analyzing word of mouth marketing based on brand community. Model consists of five variables, namely Susceptible, Infected, Community, Positive, and Negative. The model is analyzed by determining the equilibrium point which produces two equilibrium points, namely the equilibrium point obtained when there are no infected individuals and the equilibrium point obtained when there are infected individuals. The simulation uses data that has been obtained from one of the companies in Indonesia, with the basic reproduksi number is 950,1458877.

Abstract

Burgers equation is a partial differential equation which has important rule in fluid mechanics. Because it has nonlinear terms, the exact solution is complicated to find. Therefore many methods have been developed to find the approximate solution that can estimate the exact solution. In this research, the Laplace Adomian decomposition method is applied to calculate the approximate solution of Burgers equation. The method is a semi-analytical method to resolve nonlinear differential equation. By the numerical simulation, we obtained a result that the approximate solution by this method can estimate the exact solution with the sum of absolute and relative error less than those using approximate solution obtained by the Adomian decomposition method without the use of Laplace transform. Therefore the Laplace Adomian decomposition method is more accurate than the Adomian decomposition method in order to estimate the exact solution of the Burgers equation.

Abstract

An important aspect that needs attention to support success in the learning process is the teacher's competency. One of the key competencies required by teachers is mastery of technology, which supports the development of TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge)-based learning. Additionally, mastery of technology can help develop learning media and serve as a learning aid. One of the software that can be used as an option for learning media is Octave. Octave is open-source software, allowing teachers to access it for free. It can be used as a medium/teaching tool to explain various mathematical concepts, such as functions, function limits, derivatives, integrals, and more. This training was attended by high school teachers and took place at Al Bayan Superior High School, Sukabumi Regency. During the training, participants were taught how to use Octave in mathematics instruction to enhance teacher competency. The results of the training show that the use of Octave can support learning in schools by boosting teacher competency and inspiring teachers to become more professional. This, in turn, leads to improved learning quality in schools, which ultimately enhances the overall quality of education.
