Abstract

Kasus diare di Jawa Timur dari tahun ke tahun cenderung tinggi dengan lebih dari 600.000 kasus yang dipengaruhi oleh banyak faktor. Penelitian ini untuk menganalisis faktor yang berpengaruh signifikan terhadap jumlah penderita diare di Jawa Timur. Penelitian ini menggunakan regresi Binomial Negatif sebagai salah satu solusi untuk mengatasi overdispersi pada regresi Poisson. Data diambil dari Dinas Kesehatan Provinsi Jawa Timur dengan variabel terdiri atas akses sanitasi belum layak , jumlah sarana air minum dan pengelolaan sampah rumah tangga . Hasil analisis regresi Binomial Negatif menunjukkan bahwa seluruh variabel independen secara simultan mempunyai pengaruh signifikan terhadap jumlah penderita diare (Y) sedangan variabel pengelolaan sampah rumah tangga berpengaruh signifikan secara parsial terhadap jumlah penderita diare (Y) dengan nilai AIC sebesar 805,699 dan nilai R-Square sebesar 66,6%, sedangkan 33,4% sisanya dijelaskan oleh faktor lain diluar model.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the utilization of Information and Communication Technology (ICT)-based learning media in enhancing the professionalism of Islamic Religious Education teachers. ICT-based learning media offers significant potential for Islamic Religious Education teachers to expand access to learning resources, create interactive learning experiences, boost student motivation, and foster collaboration among fellow educators. This study proposes a descriptive-quantitative research approach, involving the distribution of questionnaires to Islamic Religious Education teachers in the Candi sub-district of Sidoarjo. Through this research, it is anticipated that a deeper understanding of the impact and implications of utilizing ICT-based learning media on the professional development of Islamic Religious Education teachers will be gained. Based on the analyzed data, the research will demonstrate that out of the surveyed teachers, 16 teachers (53.33%) achieved high scores, while 11 teachers (36.67%) fall into the medium category, and finally, 3 teachers (10%) fall into the low category. This research also conducted interviews with several Islamic Religious Education teachers at the middle school level, revealing that these teachers have effectively utilized ICT-based media in their teaching and professional development.

Abstract

AbstrakCurah hujan di Kabupaten Sumenep merupakan variabel meteorologis penting karena memengaruhi kegiatan pertanian dan produksi garam. Penelitian ini bertujuan memprediksi curah hujan harian menggunakan metode Extreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost) yang dioptimalkan dengan Grid Search. Variabel yang digunakan meliputi suhu udara, durasi sinar matahari, tekanan udara, kelembapan udara, kecepatan angin, dan penguapan. Data yang digunakan berupa data cuaca harian dari BMKG periode 1 Juli 2020 hingga 30 Juni 2024. Proses pemodelan meliputi preprocessing data, pembentukan fitur lag, pembagian data menggunakan Time Series Cross Validation dengan pendekatan expanding window, serta optimasi hyperparameter menggunakan Grid Search. Model dengan kombinasi hyperparameter terbaik menghasilkan MAAPE sebesar 0.9152 dan RMSE sebesar 11.9566. This study aims to predict daily rainfall using the Extreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost) method optimized with Grid Search. The variables used include air temperature, sunshine duration, air pressure, air humidity, wind speed, and evaporation. The data used is daily weather data from BMKG for the period July 1, 2020, to June 30, 2024. The modeling process includes data preprocessing, lag feature formation, data division using Time Series Cross Validation with an expanding window approach, and hyperparameter optimization using Grid Search. The model with the best hyperparameter combination produced an MAAPE of 0.9152 and an RMSE of 11.9566.Keywords: Rainfall, Grid Search, Sumenep Regency, Prediction, XGBoost

Abstract

Pesantren or Islamic Boarding Schools is a type of classical educational institution that still exis nowadays. As time goes by, Pesantren always has formal educational institutions in the form of madrasah. Students who live in pesantren are identified as students who do not know the advancement of technology. Moreover, not being allowed to use cell phones in the pesantren area is being another trigger. The purpose of this study is to find the related approach of MTs Al-Jihadul Chakim in facilitating their students in digital literacy. This study uses qualitative methods, focusing on digital literacy. The results of this study found that MTs Al-Jihadul Chakim as a pesantren-based madrasah provides programs and facilities for its students to have digital literacy skills. The form of those approaches are programs such as ICT-based learning, assistance in managing social media wisely, coaching graphic design skills, and photos/videography program.

Abstract

Abstrak: Beasiswa merupakan pemberian bantuan biaya pendidikan kepada mahasiswa yang mampu dalam bidang akademik tetapi tidak dalam perekonomian. Namun masih sering terjadi kendala dalam pemrosesan seleksi pendaftar beasiswa, yaitu banyaknya kriteria yang harus diperhatikan dan banyaknya data pendaftar sehingga pengambilan keputusan menjadi relatif lebih sulit. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah memberikan alternatif dalam pengambilan keputusan penerima bantuan beasiswa untuk mahasiswa fakultas sains dan teknologi UINSA dengan menggunakan metode Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). Data yang diolah adalah data primer yang diperoleh dari angket. Data yang telah terkumpul selanjutnya dianalisis dengan matriks perbandingan berpasangan untuk menentukan nilai eigen dan vektor eigen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 39 pendaftar diperoleh 12 pendaftar yang menjadi prioritas dalam mendapatkan beasiswa Bidikmisi. Berturut-turut mahasiswa dengan kode Z1, Z2, Z5, Z7, Z10, Z19, Z20, Z21, Z23, Z29, Z32, Z35 dengan masing-masing bobot sebesar 0.34%, 0.27%, 0.27%, 0.28%, 0.36%, 0.33%, 0.29%, 0.31%, 0.34%, 0.29%, 0.27%, 0.35%. Kata Kunci:Vektor Eigen, Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), Nilai Eigen Abstract:The scholarship is the provision of tuition assistance to students who are capable of academics but have difficulties economically. However, some obstacles are often found throughout the screening process of scholarship applicants, such as the number of criteria to fulfill and the number of registrant data that results in difficulties in making a decision. This study aims to provide an alternative in decision making on the screening process of scholarship applicants for students from the Faculty of Science and Technology at the Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Ampel by using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). The data processed are from the primary data obtained from questionnaires. The data obtained were analyzed by using a pairwise comparison matrix to determine the eigenvalues and eigenvectors. The results indicate that of 39 registrants, 12 of them became a priority in getting the Bidikmisi scholarship. Consecutively, students with codes Z1, Z2, Z5, Z7, Z10, Z19, Z20, Z21, Z23, Z29, Z32, Z35 have the score of 0.34%, 0.27%, 0.27%, 0.28%, 0.36%, 0.33%, 0.29%, 0.31%, 0.34%, 0.29%, 0.27%, 0.35%. Abstract

Urbanization occurs when population increases rapidly, encouraging individuals to migrate from villages to big cities. This phenomenon is triggered by the availability of wider employment opportunities and easier access to resources and technology. However, urbanization also has several negative impacts on the environment, such as reducing the ability to create a comfortable and healthy environment for city residents. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence urbanization in East Java Province using multiple linear regression. The data used is quantitative and was obtained from the East Java Provincial Statistics Agency in 2024. The variables analyzed include poverty levels, security levels, health, education, and unemployment rates. The partial analysis results indicate that the Education Ratio variable has a significant influence on urbanization in East Java, with a coefficient of determination value of 54.1\%. These findings are expected to contribute to the formulation of more targeted development policies in managing the pace of urbanization.

Abstract

Water is a vital resource whose quality directly affects public health. In Gresik Regency, water treatment processes must be closely monitored, particularly during production. PT PP Krakatau Tirta, a key provider of clean water in the region, plays a strategic role in treating raw water from the heavily polluted Bengawan Solo River. Ensuring that the treated water consistently meets health standards is crucial, highlighting the need for an effective process. This study aims to evaluate the clean water production process and assess the process capability in maintaining the quality of water produced by PT PP Krakatau Tirta Gresik. Laboratory data on key parameters, including pH, dissolved iron, and total dissolved solids, were collected daily from November 25, 2022, to May 31, 2023. These mandatory indicators were analyzed using Multivariate Exponentially Weighted Moving Variance (MEWMV) and Moving Average (MEWMA) control charts to assess process performance. A key contribution of this research lies in optimizing smoothing parameters to enhance control chart performance. Sixteen combinations of (ω,λ) were tested for MEWMV, with the optimal configuration found at (λ = 0.4) and (ω = 0.4), indicating that process variability is statistically stable. For MEWMA, nine values of λ were evaluated, and the optimal weight (λ=0.9) was identified as optimal, yielding a stable process mean after removing two out-of-control points. PT PP Krakatau Tirta, which plays a strategic role in treating raw water from the polluted Bengawan Solo River, was selected as a case study to evaluate the effectiveness of advanced monitoring methods. The results indicate that its clean water production process is well-controlled and capable, with water quality consistently meeting health and safety standards.

Abstract

High crime rates can lead to unrest and financial losses for the community. East Java is one of the provinces with high crime rates, with a total of 21,046 reported crimes in 2023. This study aims to identify the factors that influence crime rates in East Java and evaluate the goodness of the model through truncated spline semiparametric regression. Truncated spline semiparametric regression is a combination of parametric and nonparametric methods that can adjust changes in data patterns through the presence of knot points. The data used in this study were sourced from the Central Statistics Agency, including variables such as the number of people living in poverty, average years of schooling, gross regional domestic product, population, Gini ratio, per capita expenditure, and open unemployment rate. The results of the analysis indicate that the predictor variables have a significant influence on the number of crimes simultaneously. Partially, the variables that influence the number of crimes in East Java Province are average years of schooling, population, Gini ratio, per capita expenditure, and open unemployment rate. The best regression model is obtained using the combination knot point (4,2,4,3) with a minimum GCV value of 49636.60. The coefficient of determination obtained is 93.60%, indicating that the predictor variables can explain 93.60% of the variation in the crime rate, while the remaining 6.40% is attributed to variables outside the scope of the study.

Abstract

Extreme rainfall requires monitoring due to the potential increased risk of hydrometeorological disasters. The BMKG defines extreme rainfall as rainfall exceeding 150 mm per day; however, rainfall characteristics vary by region. This study aims to apply the Isolation Forest algorithm to detect daily rainfall anomalies and compare the results with the BMKG extreme rainfall threshold. Data from Juanda, Kediri, and Malang stations—totaling 1,006 observations—were used. The model used daily rainfall and month of observation as features, with a contamination value of 0.05. Results showed that the model detected 17 anomalies in Juanda, 17 in Kediri, and 18 in Malang. The model also identified one BMKG-defined extreme event in Juanda (150.8 mm) as an anomaly. Comparative evaluation showed a 100% recall rate for BMKG-defined extreme events; however, this figure requires cautious interpretation, as the dataset contains only one BMKG-defined extreme event. These findings suggest that Isolation Forest can serve as a tool to identify local rainfall anomalies without replacing BMKG operational thresholds.
