Abstract

Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) learning in elementary schools plays an important role in developing students’ motor skills and character; however, the results of the preliminary study indicate low levels of students’ motivation and learning outcomes due to the continued use of conventional instructional approaches. This study aims to examine the effect of a motor literacy–based learning model on students’ learning motivation and PJOK learning outcomes, as well as its simultaneous effect on both variables. The study employed a one-group pretest–posttest experimental design with a sample consisting of all 30 fifth-grade students of SD Negeri Talang Nyamuk. Data were collected using a PJOK learning motivation questionnaire and a volleyball underhand passing skill test that were valid and reliable. Data analysis was conducted using a paired sample t-test and repeated measures MANOVA at a significance level of 0.05. The results indicate that the implementation of the motor literacy–based learning model has a significant effect on improving students’ motivation and PJOK learning outcomes, both partially and simultaneously. Therefore, the motor literacy–based learning model is effective in enhancing the quality of PJOK learning in elementary schools. Keywords: Learning Outcomes, Motor Literacy, Motivation

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of fartlek training on improving VO₂Max in pencak silat athletes. The method used was a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with the PRISMA approach to systematically and objectively select relevant articles. Literature searches were conducted through Google Scholar, Lens.org, and ScienceDirect databases with publications ranging from 2020 to 2025. Inclusion criteria included Indonesian-language articles discussing fartlek training and VO₂Max published in national journals. A total of 11 relevant articles were selected for analysis. The results indicate that fartlek training consistently has a significant effect on increasing VO₂Max in pencak silat athletes and other sports. Several studies comparing fartlek with interval and circuit training showed that all methods were effective; however, fartlek training tended to produce more optimal improvements in VO₂Max. Therefore, fartlek training can be considered an effective method for enhancing aerobic endurance in pencak silat athletes. Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of badminton students by using bokortasko tools. This research is a collaborative classroom action research with four stage steps, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. In this research is carried out through the stages of pre-cycle, cycle 1 and cycle 2. In the pre-cycle skill test scores were 47.40% (low), learning outcomes were 20.58% (complete), and affective students were 49.99% (less active). In the first cycle the skill test score was 63.39% (moderate), the learning outcomes were 64.71% (complete), and the affective students were 62.65% (quite active). And in cycle II skill test scores of 82.88% (high), learning outcomes of 85.29% (complete), and affective students 82.70% (very active). So it can be concluded through the modification of bokortasko aids can improve stud ent learning outcomes, this can be seen from the actions carried out each cycle has increased significantly and the use of bokortasko aids can help students learn and practice service techniques and lob strokes so that they have an impact on student learning success.

Abstract

This research aims to address the issue of low student participation in Physical Education by implementing the traditional game Gobak Sodor as an intervention. The study explores its effectiveness in enhancing students’ active engagement during Physical Education lessons. Conducted in Grade VII.6 of State Junior High School 13 Palembang, the study involved 32 students (16 boys and 16 girls). The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design using the Kemmis and McTaggart spiral model, consisting of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The primary instruments for data collection were observation sheets to assess student participation and documentation. The results revealed a significant improvement in student participation, increasing from 34% in the pre-cycle to 78% in the second cycle. The integration of Gobak Sodor successfully fostered a joyful learning environment, encouraging students to be more active, cooperative, and socially engaged. These findings indicate that traditional games like Gobak Sodor can effectively enhance student involvement in physical activity. This study contributes to the development of Physical Education teaching methods by incorporating enjoyable and culturally meaningful activities as practical strategies to increase student participation.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of repetitive target game drill training on the long forehand serve ability of students participating in badminton extracurricular activities at Madrasah Aliyah Nurul Hilal Senuro. The research employed a quantitative approach using a one-group pretest-posttest experimental design. A total of 30 students were selected as the sample and were given repetitive target game drill training to improve their serving skills. The data on long forehand serve ability were analyzed using a One Sample t-test to examine the improvement in performance after the treatment was applied. The results showed a calculated t value of –26.625 with 29 degrees of freedom (df) and a significance value (p) < 0.001, which was lower than the significance level of 0.05. These findings indicate that repetitive target game drill training significantly improved the long forehand serve ability of students participating in the badminton extracurricular program at MA Nurul Hilal Senuro. Thus, the repetitive target game drill method can be considered an effective training approach for enhancing long forehand serve performance in badminton.
