Abstract

The Teaching Assistance Program is part of the Independent Learning and Independent Campus (MBKM) policy, designed to provide students with opportunities to develop themselves outside the campus through teaching experience in secondary education institutions under the guidance of field supervisors. This study examines the implementation of Teaching Assistance by students from the University of Flores at Tri Dhrama Ende Private Middle School using observation methods, where students directly observe learning activities and the school environment. During the program, students play an active role in various academic and non-academic aspects, including teaching, developing learning materials, assisting with school administration, and participating in both formal and informal activities. The results of this program indicate that the Teaching Assistance program runs well and provides benefits to both students and the school in improving the quality of learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap potensi ritus kosu bue sebagai sumber pendidikan karakter bagi generasi Z di Desa Dona, Kecamatan Jerebuu, Kabupaten Ngada. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode etnografik untuk memperoleh pemahaman mendalam mengenai pelaksanaan dan makna ritus kosu bue dalam pembentukan karakter peserta didik. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dengan tokoh adat, masyarakat setempat, dan gadis remaja yang mengikuti ritus, observasi pasrtisipatif terbatas, serta studi dokomentasi. Hasil penelelitian menunjukan bahwa ritus kosu bue yang berlangsung selama tujuh hari mengajarkan nilai kejujuran, tanggung jawab, kerjasama, kemandirian, dan rasa hormat melalui tahapan-tahapan yang melatih para gadis menjaga kesucian, dan mandiri dalam urusan rumah tangga. Tradisi ini tidak hanya menjadi warisan budaya, tetapi juga media pendidikan karakter yang kontekstual dan emosional, relevan untuk membentuk karakter generasi Z menghadapi tantangan globalisasi. Integrasi nilai-nilai kosu bue dalam pendidikan formal dan informal dapat memperkuat identitas budaya dan moral generasi muda sekaligus melestarikan kearifan local. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam pengembangan ilmu Pendidikan karakter berbasis budaya lokal, sebagai alternatif inovatif dalam menghadapi perubahan sosial dan budaya di era modern. Dengan demikian, ritus kosu bue menjadi pijakan strategi dalam memperkuat pendidikan karakter yang berakar pada nilai-nilai kearifan lokal dan budaya masyarakat setempat.

Abstract

The low score of students’ science learning outcomes at SMPN 1 Ndona during the covid 19 pandemic were caused by the limited interactions between teachers and students. This was supported by limited resources in implementing online learning systems. Giving assignment method was one of methods that could be applied to overcome this problems. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving assignment methods on students’ understanding of science concepts during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study was a type of quantitative research using experimental methods and was carried out at SMPN 1 Ndona in October 2020. The design of this study was a pre-experimental design with one shot case study model. Data were collected through test techniques and the data were analyzed by the formula of t test using SPSS 24. Based on the results of data analysis obtained from 30 students, the value of t count = 31.44 and df = 29 at the significant level ???? = 0.05; it was obtained sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 < 0.05. Thus, H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. This proved that giving assignment method influenced the students’ understanding on the science concept at grade VII SMPN 1 Ndona.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan penerapan model pembelajaran RADEC terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa MAN Ende. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen. Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI F yang terdiri dari 11 kelas, dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 343 orang. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas XI F1 dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 30 orang. Data yang diperoleh dari penelitian berupa peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model RADEC berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa kelas XI MAN Ende. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil pretest dan posttest siswa. Hasil belajar kognitif setelah diberikan perlakuan mengalami peningkatan sebesar 92,4 dan hasil observasi setelah diberikan perlakuan berada pada kategori sangat baik. Uji hipotesis hasil belajar siswa menunjukkan nilai signifikan ≤ 0,05. Dengan demikian dapat dikatakan H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima atau terdapat peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa sesudah diterapkannya model pembelajaran RADEC.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students due to learning strategies that tend to be one-way and less actively involve students. This study aims to determine the application of Student Worksheets (LKPD) based on concept maps on student learning outcomes on environmental pollution material in class VII of SMPN 1 Ende. This study uses a quantitative method with a true experimental design in the form of a randomized control group pretest-posttest design. The research subjects were 70 students consisting of 35 students in the experimental class and 35 students in the control class. The results showed that the average value of student learning outcomes in the experimental class increased significantly from 49.28 in the pre-test to 97 in the post-test, with an increase of 96.85%. While in the control class, the average value of learning outcomes increased from 50.6 in the pre-test to 64.11 in the post-test, with an increase of 26.71%. The t-test results showed a significance value of 0.000 ≤ 0.05, indicating a significant difference in learning outcomes between the experimental and control classes. Thus, the implementation of concept map-based student worksheets (LKPD) has been proven effective in increasing student activity, engagement, and learning outcomes.

Abstract

Ethnoscience studies play an important role as a source of knowledge because they are based on local wisdom and involve traditions that occur in everyday life according to the contextual conditions of the local community environment so that they can be applied and absorbed by the community. Local wisdom and traditions can be in the form of local food, one of which is Wu’u. Wu’u is a local food made from corn that has existed and been passed down from generation to generation by the ancestors of the Ende Regency community as an alternative food made during times of famine and as provisions because of its long-lasting nature. However, along with the development of the era, the traditional knowledge of the community about the processing of local Wu’u food is threatened with extinction due to the lack of information passed down from previous generations due to the development of the era. This study examines the scientific concept of processing local Wu’u food with an ethnoscience approach. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative in the form of direct observation, interviews, and documentation, as well as literature studies from journals and other reference books. The results of the study indicate that the indigenous knowledge of the Ende district community related to the process of making Wu’u consists of several stages of processing which are then transformed into scientific knowledge, so that from these stages of processing Wu’u has the opportunity as a source of learning science. The concept of scientific knowledge contained in the local Wu’u food processing process includes concepts of physics, chemistry, biology, and technology.
