Abstract

The use of papaya leaf in order to improve the performance of poultry in general it is possible,it is because the enzyme papain which works to increase appetite in the presence of polyphenolsthat give a distinctive taste, in addition to the enzyme papain also helps the absorption ofnutrients, amino acids settings, optimize work colon and remove toxins the body, so the immunesystem can be improved and the performance can be improved chicken anyway. Application ofpapaya leaf powder in broiler rations as a producer of meat has not been known. Broilerchickens which have experienced a lot of genetic modification, so as to take advantage of feedto produce meat in a relatively short time. In this study, researchers wanted to see how far theeffect of papaya leaf meal in broiler ration Cobb strain on feed consumption, body weight gain,feed conversion and weight gain end. This research method using a completely randomizeddesign (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replications which consists of 4 hens each replication,thus cobb broiler strains used as many as 80 tails. This research is the treatment rate ofaddition of papaya leaf meal in the ration consisting of: without the addition of papaya leaf powder (control, P0), the addition of 1.5% papaya leaf powder (P1), 3% (P2), 4,5% (P3), 6%(P4). Results of this study indicate that the addition of papaya leaf meal rations did notsignificantly affect feed intake, weight gain, feed conversion and weight gain end. But the bestindividual treatment groups to improve the performance of broiler chickens is at P1 treatmentby 1.5% due to increased feed intake, weight gain and final body weight, and can lower feedconversion, although not statistically significant.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the length of the shelf life of Alabio duck eggs after soakingwuluh starfruit leaves (Averrhoa bilimbi L.). and determine the effect of soaking Alabio duckeggs using wuluh starfruit leaves on the quality of Alabio duck eggs. This research methoduses a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 5 replicates, eachreplicate consisting of 12 Alabio duck eggs. The treatments in this study were P0 = control orwithout soaking, P1 = soaking eggs for 12 hours using 50% star fruit leaf powder solution, P2= soaking eggs for 18 hours using 50% star fruit leaf powder solution, P3 = soaking eggs for12 hours using 505% star fruit leaf powder solution. After soaking, the eggs were allowed tostand at room temperature and measurements were taken on days 0, 7, 14, and 21 of storage.Data were analyzed with Anova and DMRT. The results showed that soaking Alabio duckeggs using a solution of star fruit leaf powder with a concentration of 50% had an effect onthe quality of Albumen Index, Egg Yolk Index and Haugh Unit (HU) values. Soaking Alabioduck eggs using wuluh star fruit leaf powder solution can maintain the internal quality valueof Alabio duck eggs and soaking for 24 hours is best.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui variasi kualitas fisik telur dengan berat telur,indeks bentuk telur, volume telur, berat jenis telur dan tebal kerabang pada usia produksi berbedaantara umur produksi 6, 9, dan 12 bulan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalahmetode observasi kuantitatif melalui pengukuran berat telur, indeks bentuk telur, volume telur,berat jenis telur, tebal kerabang. Data yang didapatkan dianalisis menggunakan analisis aritmatiktiap parameter. Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan yang telah dilakukan maka dapat ditarikkesimpulan bahwa dari hasil penelitian ini nilai berat telur dan berat jenis telur pada produksiberbeda antara umur produksi 6, 9, dan 12 bulan mengalami kenaikan seiring denganmeningkatnya umur induk itik. Sedangkan pada nilai indeks bentuk telur mengalami peningkatanpada umur 6-9 bulan setelah itu mengalami penurunan kualitas pada umur 12 bulan. Sedangkannilai pada volume telur dan tebal kerabang pada telur mengalami penurunan pada umur produksi6-9 bulan setelah itu mengalami peningkatan kualitas pada umur produksi 12 bulan.

Abstract

Sapi Bali merupakan salah satu bangsa sapi lokal yang memiliki kemampuan dalam hal mengenal lingkungan yang baru dengan baik. Informasi keragaman dan penampilan reproduksi pada sapi Bali betina masih belum memiliki banyak informasi terkait karakterisasi dan penampilan reproduksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keragaman fenotipe dan sifat reproduksi pada sapi Bali betina yang terdapat di kabupaten Berau, Kalimantan Timur. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus – September 2020 di dua kecamatan, yaitu Kecamatan Sambaliung dan Talisayan, Kabupaten Berau. Penelitian menggunakan sapi Bali betina dengan umur 24-36 bulan. Data yang diambil dari pengukuran yang telah dilakukan kepada sapi Bali betina yang meliputi pengukuran tinggi pundak, panjang badan, dan lingkar dada serta kinerja reproduksi sapi Bali Betina. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis koefisien keragaman, regresi linear sederhana dan rataan dari kinerja reproduksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa nilai keragaman dari tinggi pundak, panjang badan dan lingkar dada berturut-turut, 3,81%, 5,16% dan 4,02%.  Panjang badan memiliki nilai keragaman yang paling tinggi dibandingkan sifat fenotipe lain yaitu lingkar dada dan tinggi Pundak sebesar 5,16%.  Hasil analisis regresi menunjukan bahwa semua sifat fenotipe memiliki hasil yang signifikan (P<0,01) sehingga menunjukan perubahan sifat ukuran tubuh akan mempengaruhi pertambahan bobot badan.  Berdasarkan sifat reproduksi, diketahui rata-rata umur pertama kali bunting pada sapi Bali betina yaitu 18,2 bulan, diketahui juga rata – rata umur pertama kali melahirkan yaitu 17,93 dan untuk berapa kali melahirkan di umur 2-3 tahun diketahui rata- rata 0,67.  Hasil yang didapatkan menunjukan bahwa adanya keterkaitan antara kualitas fenotipe yang mempengaruhi penampilan reproduksi pada sapi Bali betina.

Abstract

The Banjar district government has provided assistance to livestock communities and slaughterhouses to develop this biogas in order to reduce the impact of environmental pollution. The success of this development may depend on the perception of the farming community. Based on this, the aim of this research is to analyze and formulate a biogas development strategy and analyze public perceptions regarding the development of biogas technology from cow manure in Banjar Regency. This research was carried out in Banjar Regency with 4 (four) observation locations, namely Martapura Kota, Pengaron, Sungai Pinang and Mataraman Districts. This research was carried out with a SWOT analysis to find a suitable development strategy for biogas development in Banjar Regency and used descriptive analysis to explain the perceptions of the livestock farming community and non-breeding community towards the technology. biogas in Banjar Regency. Results show that 69.5% of both livestock and non-livestock communities strongly agree that untreated cow dung causes environmental pollution and disease. Additionally, 54.5% support converting manure into biogas, and 65% acknowledge the limited processing of biogas. The SWOT analysis places biogas development in quadrant I, indicating that the strategy should leverage Strengths to capitalize on opportunities (S-O). The recommended approach involves using the ample cattle population to reduce pollution and leveraging government support to enhance biogas facilities and infrastructure.

Abstract

Perusahaan penambangan batugamping PT Eternal Richway  merupakan perusahaan penanaman modal asing (PMA) semula luasnya 592 ha dan sekarang bertambah menjadi 149 ha dengan kapasitas produksinya mencapai 3.000.000 ton/tahun, berada di Desa Kaong dan Desa Pangelak yang memegang teguh hukum adat Dayak Deah, sehingga berpotensi adanya gesekan ekonomi, sosial maupun lingkungan dengan masyarakat. Terdapat kesenjangan antara pelaporan dengan kenyataan di lapangann yang terkesan ditutup tutupi, sehingga besar kemungkinan konflik akan muncul dipermukaan. Kesenjangan ini harus dibuka agar pemerintah daerah dapat mengambil langkah antisipasi konflik. Evaluasi ketaatan pengelolaan dampak lingkungan dapat membawa perbaikan pada kinerja perusahaan, sehingga berkontribusi pada pembangunan berkelanjutan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis tingkat ketaatan PT Eternal Richway terhadap aturan pengelolaan dampak lingkungan pertambangan. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif dengan penerapan metode penelitian campuran (mix method). Metode campuran ini menerapkan strategi triangulasi konkuren untuk mengumpulkan data kualitatif dan kuantitatif secara bersamaan, serta mengintegrasikan data tersebut pada tahap interpretasi dan pembahasan. Analisis ketaatan menggunakan perhitungan ketaatan berdasarkan adopsi dan modifikasi PROPER kategori Biru dengan indikator utama: pengendalian pencemaran air dan udara, pengelolaan B3 dan limbah B3, pengendalian kerusakan lahan, dan pengelolaan sampah. Penilaian realisasi RKL-RPL menggunakan metode checklist kemudian dihitung prosentasenya. Penentuan tingkat ketaatan akhir dilakukan dengan tingkat ketaatan yang telah diadopsi dan dimodifikasi oleh penulis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan tingkat ketaatan akhir pelaksanaan RKL-RPL PT Eternal Richway adalah 65,45% dengan status tingkat ketaatan “Cukup Taat” artinya pelaksanaan RKL-RPL belum optimal, dan perlu adanya perbaikan dalam pelaksanaannya.

Abstract

Maggot is the larva of the Black Soldier Fly (Hermitia illucens) which is one of the alternative feeds that meets the requirements as a source of protein and is often used as a decomposing agent for organic waste. The purpose of the study was to determine the best type of media to increase the production of maggot H. illucens as a potential alternative source of protein for animal feed and as fertilizer. This study was designed using a completely randomized design (CRD) with four treatments and five (5) replications. The treatments tried in this study were as follows P1 = Chicken manure, P2 = Cow manure, P3 = Market waste, P4 = Restaurant waste, as maggot growing media. The results showed that the type of growing media had an effect on maggot production including final weight. final length. total weight of maggot. and protein content. also on the ability to decompose maggot including compost residue, dry matter, ash content, and organic matter. The type of media treatment P4 (restaurant waste) was able to produce the highest production, namely the final weight (0.59 g / head). and the final length (2.39 cm / head) with a total maggot production of 367.8 g / unit. but the type of media treatment P3 (market waste) produced the highest maggot protein content of 60.81%. The highest maggot decomposability was found in P4 (restaurant waste).

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the effects of different inclusion levels of Indigofera zollingeriana leaf meal on the production performance and economic efficiency of male Alabio ducks. The research was motivated by the need for high-quality, cost-effective local feed ingredients to reduce reliance on conventional feedstuffs. A completely randomized design was employed with five treatments (0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% Indigofera leaf meal) and five replications, each with four ducks. Diets were formulated to be iso-protein (16%) and iso-caloric (±2,900 kcal/kg) and were provided ad libitum for five weeks. Results indicated that inclusion of Indigofera leaf meal up to 20% did not significantly affect feed intake, body weight gain, or feed conversion ratio. The highest final body weight was achieved at 15% inclusion (1,322 g/bird), while the highest Income Over Feed Cost was recorded at 20% inclusion (Rp 14,531.15/bird). These findings highlight a balance between biological performance and economic efficiency, where 15% is optimal for growth, while 20% is more profitable financially. This research contributes to the sustainable utilization of local alternative feed resources and provides a scientific basis for economical and efficient poultry diet formulation.
