Abstract

Abstract. Road is one of the transportation infrastructure that plays an important role in supporting regional development, increasing the regional economy, facilitating the mobility of people, goods and services. For this reason, in order to support national economic activities, the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing through the Directorate General of Highways carries out the planning and construction of several new roads on an ongoing basis. In addition, for existing roads, the Directorate General of Highways needs to carry out maintenance so that existing assets can continue to function. The threat of natural disasters and the instability of road bodies is a serious problem. This can cause damage to the road body and even the road body can be cut off suddenly, resulting in reduced road performance. One of the roads in Maybrat district, precisely in the Ayawasi – Sisu KM 273+500 section, experienced a road collapse that cut off access between districts, resulting in a stagnation of economic activity. Therefore, a landslide handling design is needed so that the road can be accessed again.The design process was carried out through several stages, including Preliminary Survey, Hydrological Survey, Geotechnical and Geological Survey, Topographic Survey, and Planning. In the planning process, the most effective and efficient design will be selected according to field conditions. Slope stability analysis using Slope/W software. Based on the results of the planning, the design of the Concrete Soil Retaining Wall with bored pile reinforcement is used as an alternative treatment because it can be done easily in the field and can overcome the problem of landslides in the area.Keywords: Safety factor; Concrete Retaining Wall; Bored Pile; Landslide; Slope-W

Abstract

A battery is a device that stores power in an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) system. The most common type of UPS battery found today is Valve Regulated Lead Acid (VRLA). So that the UPS can work optimally according to its capacity and backup time, it is necessary to determine the battery capacity. In this research, the capacity of the VRLA battery on a particular UPS was determined based on direct testing and based on calculations. VRLA battery capacity calculations refer to the UPS and battery datasheet. The calculation stage starts from calculating the current and battery power used according to the load power absorbed by the UPS and referring to the table of constant current discharge and constant power discharge characteristics. Determining battery capacity based on testing is done by measuring the backup time of the UPS. The calculation results and test results directly show that there is a difference in backup time because the battery used is an old stock battery. The research results also prove that determining battery capacity by calculation can ensure that the battery capacity is more appropriate or not too large so it is more economical.

Abstract

Jatuh tegangan pada jaringan tegangan menengah merupakan suatu kondisi jumlah tegangan yang disalurkan tidak sama dengan tegangan yang diterima. Jatuh tegangan juga dipengaruhi oleh arus yang mengalir dan nilai resistansi dan reaktansi penghantar. Penyulang Subaru merupakan salah satu penyulang pada Gardu Induk Kenten yang mempunyai beban besar sehingga saat beban puncak, jatuh tegangannya cukup besar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisa jatuh tegangan pada Penyulang Subaru, ditinjau dari sebelum pemecahan beban dan setelah pemecahan beban pada saat beban puncak. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode topologi jaringan. Hasil penelitian adalah sebelum pemecahan beban, jatuh tegangan 3 fasa pada Penyulang Subaru adalah 287,3229 V atau 1,4154%. Setelah pemecahan beban, jatuh tegangan 3 fasa pada Penyulang Subaru menjadi 109,1823 V atau 0,5300%, dan jatuh tegangan 3 fasa pada Penyulang Chevrolet menjadi 109,2697 V atau 0,5308%.

Abstract

Technological developments make it possible to monitor electricity consumption in real-time via the internet. The system developed uses a power meter to collect data, Python to process data and IoT connectivity via NodeMCU ESP8266 to send data to the internet. Python is used so that measurement data can be processed and presented in an easy-to-understand format. The test results show that electrical data measurements can be displayed with an error ranging from 0.04% -11.56%. This is because there is a delay from the time the power meter is measured until the data is displayed on ThingSpeak.

Abstract

The Electrical Engineering study program of the Faculty of Engineering, Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia has been collaborating with Harapan Bagi Bangsa Christian Middle School, Cilincing, North Jakarta for several years in an extracurricular program for junior high school students, as a form of community service from Electrical Engineering lecturers. The extracurricular activity program implemented is in the form of basic electronics training. The theme of the activity varies, according to the requests and needs of the partner schools. The first activity is to provide basic electronics skills training to students. This program received a very positive response from teachers and students. From the evaluation results of previous activities, all students wanted training activities with advanced materials. The training provided is an introduction to basic Arduino Uno microcontrollers using Tinkercad simulation software. The purpose of this activity is to conduct training on the introduction and how to program the Arduino Uno microcontroller to turn on Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs). The training was carried out at Harapan Bagi Bangsa Christian Middle School. The training began by assembling the resistor and LED components on the project board. After all the components were installed, an Arduino Uno microcontroller program was created to turn on the LEDs alternately according to the order of the program created. The training used Tinkercad simulation software and the Arduino Uno microcontroller board. From the results of the student evaluation, 92.2% of students gave good and excellent ratings, while 7.8% gave neutral ratings for this training.

Abstract

Makalah ini membahas perancangan dan implementasi sistem penggerak panel surya 2 sumbu dengan menggunakan motor servo yang dikendalikan oleh mikrokontroler arduino uno, sistem ini bekerja berdasarkan masukan sensor LDR sebanyak empat buah yang dipasang pada masing-masing sisi panel surya dan satu buah yang dipasang di tengah modul solar panel tersebut.Sensor LDR pun dihubungkan pada mikrokontroller yang akan mengolah masukkan yang diberikan menjadi keluaran tegangan kepada motor servo.Motor servo yang dipakai diperancangan alat ini sebanyak dua buah yang akan meggerakkan panel surya menuju arah vertical dan horizontal. Pengujian dilakukan dengan beberapa tahap seperti pengujian hasil yang didapatkan oleh panel surya dengan berbagai kondisi,pengujian sensor cahaya dan pengujian keseluruhan.Sehingga mendapatkan hasil yang cukup baik dan memuaskan,kedua motor servo dapat bergerak menerima hasil keluaran yang diberikan oleh mikrokontroller dan kelima sensor LDR dapat menerima cahaya matahari dan mendeteksi arah cahaya matahari secara cukup baik sehingga perancangan alat mendapatkan hasil keseluruhan secara cukup baik. Hasil keseluruhan daya yang didapat secara maksimal oleh panel surya sebanyak 12V yang akan bergerak mengikuti arah cahaya matahari.

Abstract

Bidang pembangunan infrastruktur kontemporer berada pada titik balik dalam sejarahnya, terjebak di antara tuntutan akan metode pembangunan yang ramah lingkungan dan pencarian inovasi yang tiada henti. Integrasi Geofoam Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) merupakan terobosan struktural yang menjanjikan perubahan revolusioner dalam berbagai aplikasi teknik terkait konstruksi infrastruktur modern. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pemanfaatan Geofoam Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) dalam pembangunan infrastruktur modern. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Jurnal ilmiah, makalah, buku, laporan penelitian, dan publikasi teknis terkait yang diterbitkan oleh instansi pemerintah, dunia usaha, dan lembaga penelitian merupakan sumber data sekunder yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) Geofoam merupakan bahan bangunan yang memiliki kualitas berbeda-beda sehingga menjadi pilihan tepat untuk pembangunan infrastruktur masa kini. Bobotnya yang rendah, kekuatan tekan yang tinggi, kualitas isolasi termal yang kuat, stabilitas dimensi yang konstan, ketahanan terhadap kerusakan kimia, beragam penggunaan, kelestarian lingkungan, dan keterjangkauan adalah beberapa atribut utamanya. Penggunaan EPS Geofoam pada berbagai proyek bangunan, seperti dinding penahan tanah, bandara, jalan tol, jembatan dan infrastruktur lainnya telah terbukti memberikan keuntungan besar dalam hal efektivitas biaya, kinerja struktural dan kelestarian lingkungan.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the increasing significance of online shopping platforms and the challenges faced by users in locating products that align with their preferences and requirements, which can significantly influence the sales performance of online retailers. Consequently, the primary objective of this study is to design and implement a recommendation system capable of identifying suitable products and forecasting the purchase frequency for various product combinations, while also integrating this recommendation system with a smart shopping platform. To achieve this objective, the research employs machine learning techniques, specifically content-based filtering and the Apriori algorithm. Content-based filtering is utilized to analyze user preferences and behavioral patterns related to visited products, while the Apriori algorithm is employed to evaluate support and confidence values for item set combinations, thereby generating frequency values for future transactions involving product combinations. Additionally, a smart shopping system is developed and integrated, enhancing the shopping experience through smartphone applications and streamlining the payment process to facilitate seamless product purchases. The research methodology involves data collection pertaining to products and user preferences, followed by several testing involving a sample group of user respondents. The results demonstrate that the developed recommendation system effectively delivers relevant product recommendations based on user preferences, achieving a confidence value up to 98%. Furthermore, the smart shopping system proves capable of independently assisting users throughout the transaction process, thereby enhancing overall user experience and convenience.
