Abstract

Sayuran organik adalah sayuran yang dibudidayakan tanpa menggunakan bahan kimia. Syuran organik memilik daya tarik tersendiri di kalangan petani, terutama petani milenial. Saat ini banyak orang yang beralih pada gaya hidup sehat, dan sayuran organik merupakan satu pilihan yang paling digenari. Keunggulan dari sayuran organik sangat banyak, dilihat dari sisi kesehatan, sayuran organik memiliki banyak kandungan yang bermanfaat agi kesehatan. Berdasarkan hal tersebut maka budidaya sayuran organik juga memberikan peluang yang bagus dalam bisnis. Meskipun ada peluang yang bagus, namun dalam budidaya sayuran organik juga memiliki tantangan tersendiri, diantaranya adalah perawatan yang tidak yang membutuhkan perhatian dan penangan khusus. Berdasarkan hal tersebut maka kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan pada siswa SMK Cendika Bangsa kelas agribisnis pengolahan hasil pertanian selama 3 bulan dengan metode dan praktik secara langsung. Pada pelaksanaannya siswa SMK Cendika Bangsa kelas agribisnis pengolahan hasil pertanian sangat antusias, sehingga pada akhir kegiatan para siswa sudah mampu melakukan beberapa tahap tanpa bimbingan

Abstract

Udang vaname merupakan biota budidaya yang sangat rentan terhadap lingkungan sekitarnya. Kondisi kualitas air yang tidak ideal dapat mengakibatkan udang mengalami stress dan menghambat pertumbuhannya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan dosis yang tepat dari pemberian fermentasi bekatul dan EM4 sebagai probiotik berdasarkan dampaknya terhadap perbaikan kualitas air kolam budidaya udang vaname. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mengaplikasikan 3 perlakuan berbeda terdiri dari kontrol, perlakuan 1 dengan dosis fermentasi bekatul 25 g dan EM4 10 ml dan perlakuan 2 dengan dosis fermentasi bekatul 50 g dan EM4 20 ml. Parameter kualitas air yang diukur sebanyak tujuh yaitu suhu, oksigen terlarut, pH, nitrat, nitrit, ammonia, dan fosfat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kondisi kualitas air kolam udang cukup ideal dan perlakuan 1 dengan dosis fermentasi bekatul 25 g dan EM4 10 ml secara konsisten lebih unggul dalam memperbaiki kondisi kualitas air dibandingkan dengan perlakuan lainnya.   Vannamei shrimp are cultured biota that are very vulnerable to the surrounding environment. Water quality conditions that are not ideal can cause shrimp to experience stress and inhibit their growth. This study aimed to determine the appropriate dose of fermented rice bran and EM4 as probiotics based on their impact on improving the water quality of vannamei shrimp culture ponds. This study was conducted by applying 3 different treatments consisting of control, treatment 1 with fermented rice bran dose of 25 g and EM4 10 ml and treatment 2 with fermented rice bran dose of 50 g and EM4 20 ml. Seven water quality parameters were measured, temperature, dissolved oxygen, pH, nitrate, nitrite, ammonia, and phosphate. The results showed that the water quality conditions of shrimp ponds were quite ideal and treatment 1 with a fermentation dose of 25 g rice bran and 10 ml EM4 was consistently superior in improving water quality conditions compared to other treatments.

Abstract

Health istitha'ah is the health ability of the pilgrims physically and mentally with a measurable health assesment. It is essential for every citizen who will perform the hajj pilgrimage. The Indonesian Ministry of Health through the Non-Infectious Disease Integrated Service Post (Posbindu PTM) implements an early detection and prevention program for non-infectious diseases in sub-districts, schools or colleges, institutions or workplaces, and Hajj guidance groups (KBIH) especially for pilgrims. The department of public health and community medicine (IKM-IKK) of the Faculty of Medicine, Sriwijaya University perform an education on the detection of risk factors for non-infectious diseases and physical fitness assesment of prospective pilgrims in the context of community service activities at KBIH Bisri Palembang. Examinations were done on 40 prospective pilgrims using the Rockport test method. The results of the examination showed that the 24 pilgrims had moderate fitness level (60%). The blood pressure test results showed that 9 pilgrims had hypertension (22%) and the nutritional status test showed that 20 pilgrims were overweight and obese (38.5%). In addition, there is an assesment for prospective hajj pilgrims in order to understanding risk factors for non-infectious diseases. The result shows that there is a significant increase in understanding about non-infectious diseases in the adaptation of new habits.

Abstract

Ikan Nila (Oreochromis niloticus) merupakan salah satu komoditas perikanan air tawar yang banyak digemari dan bersifat potensial dalam proses budidaya. Permintaan terhadap komoditas ini selalu meningkat, sehingga menjadi kesempatan bagi para pembudidaya untuk meningkatkan hasil produksi. Kondisi lingkungan perairan berperan penting dalam kelancaran proses budidaya ikan. Adapun salah satu cara yang bisa digunakan untuk menilai kondisi lingkungan perairan adalah melalui analisis hubungan panjang-berat. Hasil dari analisis hubungan tersebut yakni berupa faktor kondisi allometris dapat digunakan untuk menilai karakteristik fisiologis ikan, siklus hidup, kondisi lingkungan sekitar dan ketersediaan makanan. Umumnya, hubungan panjang berat dianalisis dengan pendekatan regresi linier sederhana di mana memiliki kelemahan yaitu sangat dipengaruhi oleh nilai ekstrim/outlier sehingga tidak mampu menggambarkan distribusi data secara keseluruhan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan alternatif metode lain yaitu regresi kuantil yang mampu menjelaskan hubungan panjang-berat ikan secara lebih menyeluruh. Data sampel ikan yang digunakan berasal dari kolam IBAT Punten, Batu yang merupakan salah satu sentra pembenihan dan budidaya Ikan Nila. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara umum faktor kondisi allometris Ikan Nila di IBAT Punten bersifat allometris negatif, artinya pertambahan berat lebih kecil dibandingkan pertambahan panjang ikan atau dengan kata lain ikan cenderung kurus. Selain itu, dari analisis regresi kuantil didapatkan kecenderungan bahwa semakin besar ukuran ikan Nila maka nilai faktor kondisi allometris semakin kecil. Hal ini dikarenakan ikan Nila dewasa lebih rentan terhadap perubahan lingkungan dibandingkan dengan ikan Nila yang lebih kecil.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan dasain kausal dengan metode deskriptif  yang bersifat ex post-facto atau kajian fenomena alami yang mempelajari proses-proses yang terjadi ditambak sesuai dengan kondisi yang ada dengan mengobservasi kegiatan budidaya udang vaname secara intensif pada petak tambak yang terkendali selama ± 100 hari. Kegiatan pengelolaan tambak dilakukan sesuai dengan prosedur operasional baku . Bahan dan alat yang digunakan dalam penelitian meliputi satu petak tambak berukuran  3.295,5  m2, berpola intensif dengan padat tebar 120 ekor/m2, sarana dan prasarana produksi serta alat pengambilan dan pengukur contoh sesuai dengan variabel yang diukur. Parameter utama yang diukur adalah pH harian pada pagi hari dan siang hari.  Parameter  pendukung lainnya yang diukur setiap hari adalah suhu, salinitas, kecerahan, dan mingguan TOM, karbonat, bikarbonat dan total alkalinitas  Data yang dikumpulkan dianalisis untuk melihat keragaman data yang diukur. Selanjutnya dibuat model model hubungan pH-pagi dan pH sore hari selama satu siklus pemeliharaan udang vanamei. Selanjutnya dibuat korelasi antara kelarutan pH dengan Parameter kualitas air lainnya. Untuk mengetahui keterkaitan antar variabel, data yang diperoleh dianalisis regresi dengan bantuan perangkat lunak SPSS versi 16 serta analisis deskriptif.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rataan pH-pagi ditambak udang adalah 7.94  ±  0.41 (7.70- 9.00) dan model hubungan pH-pagi adalah oksigen terlarut harian adalah  Y = = 0.0065x2 - 0.1973 X + 9.48 (R² = 0.77)  dan pH-siang hari adalah Y = 0.0064x2 - 0.175x + 9.4825 (R² = 0.801).  pH air tambak  berkorelasi dengan suhu,  total alkalinitas dan  karbonat (CO32-) dan korelasi  negatif dengan ortho fospat (PO43-), bikarbonat (HCO3-) dan TOM (total organic matter) dan tidak ada korelasinya dengan salinitas dan kelarutan oksigen di dalam air tambak

Abstract

Vaname shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) is one of the shrimps that is widely cultivated in Indonesia. The aim of this research is to analyze the growth and dynamics of water quality in vaname shrimp cultivation ponds using an intensive system. This research is a descriptive study with a survey method conducted in January-April 2023. The research location is in a vaname shrimp cultivation pond with an intensive system with a stocking of 116 individuals/m3. The research results showed that the average weight of shrimp at the end of cultivation was 18.48 grams/fish. Average daily growth ranges from 0.1-0.41 grams. The survival rate (SR) of cultivated vaname shrimp is 75.8% with a feed quantity ratio (FCR) of 1.47. The results of water quality measurements include temperatures ranging from 27.4-30.1 °C, brightness 25-65 cm, salinity 21-26 ppt, pH 8-9, dissolved oxygen 4.2-6.7 ppm, carbon dioxide 24.5- 67.1 ppm, ammonia 0.11-1.67, TOM 2.78-108.70 ppm and total vibrio 1x103-3.9x103 CFU/ml. Shrimp growth in ponds is classified as good with water quality suitable for cultivation

Abstract

The Porong River is one of the rivers that faces high anthropogenic impacts, such as surfactant waste from detergents. The hematology of Javanese carp (Barbonymus gonionotus) serves as a sentinel organism that can be used as a biomarker for the waters of the Porong River. The aim of this study is to analyze the water quality status of the Porong River polluted with surfactants using the STORET method, as well as its impact on the hematology of Javanese carp using regression and correlation analysis. The research employed a descriptive survey method. The results of the study indicated that the Porong River was categorized as moderately polluted. The average highest surfactant concentration reached 7.2 mg/L, leading to an increase in TSS to 107.95 mg/L and a decrease in DO to 1.80 mg/L. Surfactants exhibited a negative correlation with erythrocytes (91.2%), hematocrit (47.7%), and hemoglobin (60.6%), indicating that the higher the surfactant concentration, the lower the number of erythrocytes, hematocrit levels, and hemoglobin levels in Javanese carp. Conversely, there was a positive correlation between surfactants and leukocytes (56.7%) and blood glucose (66.7%), suggesting that the higher the surfactant concentration, the higher the number of leukocytes and blood glucose levels in Javanese carp.

Abstract

This community service program was conducted with the Benur Barokah Group (Tuban Regency), a producer of vannamei shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) post larvae at the PL-5 stage. Major constraints included inconsistent natural feed quality, water-quality management based mainly on experience, and limited marketing, leading to low harvest success (≈40% of stocked PL-5) and fluctuating survival rates. The program aimed to improve seed production by mentoring partners on Chlorella sp. microalgae culture as natural feed, training on routine water-quality monitoring, and providing measuring tools (digital thermometer and refractometer), supported by an operational culture module. A website was also developed to broaden marketing reach. Methods included site surveys, socialization and extension sessions, hands-on mentoring, and monitoring and evaluation. Outcomes included improved partner understanding of microalgae culture and key water-quality parameters, availability of monitoring instruments, and the establishment of digital promotional media. Questionnaire-based evaluation indicated highly positive partner responses. Sustainability will be supported by appointing responsible personnel, scheduling routine culture activities and water-quality record keeping, and periodically updating digital marketing content.

Abstract

The Mina Makmur Jaya Floating Net Cage (KJA) Group in Gampingan is a community group engaged in the breeding of Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) using the puddle system method, located in Gampingan Village, Pagak District, Malang Regency. The main problem faced in this business is the slow growth of fish fry, which results in suboptimal seed production. This condition is caused by several factors: water quality that is highly dependent on weather conditions, inappropriate breeding techniques, and inadequate nutrition or feed. The proposed solutions include conducting socialization activities and preparing a water quality management module based on Adaptive Water Management, providing water quality measuring instruments, organizing training and SOP development for seed breeding and packaging techniques, and conducting socialization on feed management for tilapia hatchery. The results of these activities showed an increase in partners’ technical skills, business management efficiency, and seed quality. In addition, outputs were produced in the form of SOPs, training modules, activity documentation, and new skills that help improve tilapia fry productivity, reduce operational costs, and expand distribution reach. Thus, this program contributes to strengthening food security, increasing economic value, and ensuring the sustainability of tilapia breeding enterprises at the local level.

Abstract

The Mojomakmur farmer group in Mojorejo Village, Junrejo District, Batu City faces the challenge of abundant goat livestock waste that has not been properly utilized, resulting in unpleasant odors and potential environmental pollution. In fact, this waste has high agronomic value when processed into organic fertilizer to support sustainable agriculture. Limited knowledge, skills, and facilities are the main obstacles hindering effective waste utilization. To address these issues, this community service program was carried out through awareness activities on the importance of livestock-waste management, training on the production of solid and liquid organic fertilizers, and the implementation of appropriate technology that farmers can apply easily and efficiently. In addition, intensive mentoring and continuous evaluation were conducted to ensure that the acquired skills can be independently implemented. This program is expected to promote more environmentally friendly waste management, increase the added value of livestock waste for farmers, and strengthen sustainable agricultural practices.
