Abstract

Abstract: This research is a descriptive research that aims to produce learning module for students class x hight school. The subject of this research is competency the basis (KD) 3.2 hight school class x : the analyze various levels of biodiversity in Indonesia along with the threat preservation. Research conducted at FKIP Riau University and SMAN 1 XIII Koto Kampar in September to November 2017. This research is a development research with ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate) and just made to the stage of development. Data collection begins with local biodiversity observations of spesies (plant and animals), which are widely present around student learning environments, including the diversity of gene, species, and coomunitas/ecosystem levels. Data observations biodiversity based local potential will be used to design a learning modules biodiversity. Further data was collected by the validation and trial. Validation aims to see useful module from expert opinion in the field of material of the existing in learning modules. While the trial aims to see useful module to analyze the questionnaire students’ responses. Data obtained from the analysysis of the results obtained a score all modules obtain an average score 4.33 by category is invalid. Consists of aspects of the content presented obtain an average 4.46 by category very valid, aspacts of the languege obtained averange score of 4.23 by category very valid, and aspacts graphics design obtain ab average score of 4.33 by category is invalid. Average value response 20 students to the module developed on learning 1 is 4.24, learning 2 average score of 4.20, and at the learning modules 3 ie with an average score of 4.24 by category very good.Keywords: Research Development, Learning Modules, Biodiversity Potential Local.

Abstract

Abstract. Peatland fires in Riau province have a negative impact on the natural ecosystem, especially very influential on plants. However, many plants can grow back after the fire. This study aims to produce a visual dictionary of learning Biology SMA by utilizing the results of studies on ecosystems in post-fire peatlands. For this purpose, a survey study has been conducted in Rimbo Panjang Village, Kampar District, Riau Province from February to October 2017. Quadratic methods and sampling techniques are purposively applied to the gradient of fire incidents in 2009, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. Parameters observed in the form of species composition, environmental factors and associated vegetation associations of post-fire peatland vegetation. Data were analyzed using 2x2 contingency table descriptively and qualitatively. Based on the results of the study found 32 species and 18 families of basic vegetation on post-fire peatlands. The association of peatland vegetation found in 42 pairs of species, of which 33 pairs of species are positively associated while 9 couples are negatively associated. The results of research can be utilized for the development of learning visual dictionary of High School Biology class X (KD 3.10). Trials using the resulting visual dictionary and its benefits to the enrichment of classical learners learning materials are strongly recommended. Keywords: Association, peatland, post fire vegetation base

Abstract

Abstract. Many peatland fires have a negative impact on the natural ecosystem, one of them on plants. This study aims to produce high school biology learning modules by utilizing the results of studies on the regeneration of plant vegetation in peatlands after the fire. To achieve these objectives, a survey study was conducted in Rimbo Panjang Village, Kampar District, Riau Province in February-October 2017. Quadratic method and sampling technique by purposive random sampling were applied to gradient of fire incident 2009, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. Data were analyzed descriptively-qualitative. The results show that the pot-fire peatland vegetation  structure of  Rimbo Panjang contains  9 families . Diversity index  of trees was  0.29, sapling  were 0.37 and the seedling were 0.6. Modules developed based on the results of this study can be used as a source of learning subjects Biology high school class X on Ecosystem Components (KD 3.10) and the impact on environmental changes (KD 3.11). However, the design of this module needs to be tested before it is applied and the students learning is classical. Keywords: Biology instructional modul, Senior High School, Vegetation Structure, Post-fire peatland.

Abstract

Abstract: This research has been done to describe the cognitive ability of students of grade VIII SMPN 1 Sungai Apit in August until December 2017. This research consists of 2 stages. The first stage is about a written test given to each student class VIII.1 SMP Babussalam for validity and reliability test. The second stage of written test is given to each grade VIII student of SMPN 1 Sungai Apit with the material of plant body structure to be analyzed. The result of this study is the cognitive ability of the students of class VIII of cognitive ability of knowledge (C1) 86.58% good category, cognitive ability of understanding (C2) 86.37% good category, cognitive ability of application (C3) 80.24% category good enough, cognitive ability analysis (C4) 74.87 % less good category, cognitive synthesis ability (C5) 70.04% unfavorable category and cognitive ability evaluation (C6) 60.10% unfavorable category. Based on the analysis of the students of grade VIII SMPN 1 Sungai Apit the cognitive ability level of C1 and C2 both C3 and C3 are good, C4, C5 and C6 are not good.Keywords: Cognitive Ability, Structure Plant Body Material

Abstract

Abstract: The need for contextual learning materials that are contextual and relevant to the characteristics of living systems that have authenticity and uniqueness to the natural environment in recent developments is increasingly felt important and urgent. This study aims to produce a design module for SMA Biology learning about the Conservation of Mangrove Ecosystems by The Orang Suku Laut in the Riau Archipelago. For this reason, a survey study in Penaah was conducted to obtain scientific facts and information as a module design material through a partially developed research method (only the Analysis and Design stage). Samples are determined through snowball sampling techniques. Primary data are collected through field observations and in-depth interviews. Secondary data is obtained through search results on printed and electronic documentation. Data were analyzed through qualitative-descriptive techniques. The results obtained show that most of the flora of the mangrove ecosystem is used for firewood, pillars of houses, traditional medicines. All fauna of the mangrove ecosystem are used as food ingredients. There are at least nine forms of local wisdom practiced The Orang Suku Laut in concerving mangrove ecosystem in Penaah Village. All scientific facts from the research can be utilized for the design of Biology Subjects Module for Class X using the Problem-Based Learning Model. However, before the Module Design is used on a broader scale, it is recommended that a feasibility and effectiveness test should be carried out on a limited scale.Key Words: High School Biology Learning Module, preservation of mangrove ecosystems, Orang Suku Laut, Penaah Village

Abstract

Abstract: Pineapple peel waste is organic waste that has not been managed properly by the community. In pineapple peel contains carbohydrates, sugar and protein which is high enough, so that it can be used as a raw material for making liquid organic fertilizer for caisim plants. This study aims to determine the effect of liquid organic fertilizer from pineapple peel waste on the growth of caisim plants and the potential of the research results as a design worksheet for students. Ths research is an experimental study with a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 6 treatments and 4 replications. The dose of treatments used is P0 (control), P1 (250 ml/l), P2 (275 ml/l), P3 (300 ml/l), P4 (325 ml/l) dan P5 (350 ml/l). The results showed that liquid organic fertilizer from pineapple peel waste in treatment P4 (325 ml/l) gave the best results compared to treatment P0 (control) on parameters of plant height, number of leaves, wet weight and dry weight. It can be concluded that liquid organic fertilizer from pineapple peel waste has a very significant effect on the growth of caisim plants and farmers can use it for plants and the worksheets of students developed can be used as teaching materials in the learning.Key Words: Liquid Organic Fertilizer, Pineapple Peel Waste, Mustard

Abstract

Abstract: Research into the development of worksheet Students (LKPD) based on multiple intelligences in the material fungi class X High School in the Faculty of Education, University of Riau in January-June 2017. The research relates to research approaches R & D in this study using a model ADDIE developed by Dick and Carry. Research carried out until the stage of development. Research topics were KD 3.7 SMA class X fungi material developed to 5 LKPD for 5 meetings. The data were collected using a validation sheet for 5 person validator, limited testing LAB scale focused 5th semester student who studied the mold material as many as 15 students and limited tests aimed at ninth grade high school students who have studied the mold material filled in. Population and samples for a limited trial arbitrarily determined that MIA IX grade 3 in SMAN 4 Pekanbaru preferably 20 people Students. The results of the validation of aspects of design, pedagogy and content show a fifth LKPD obtaining an average score of 03:43, 03:52, 3,62, 3,67, 3,65 categorized as very valid as long as the test results limited from the viewpoint of design, pedagogy and content to show students the fifth HTPD achieved an average score 3.32, 3.45, 3.40, 3.45, 3.43 with a very good category. While the aspect of design, pedagogical and content in SMA N 4 Pekanbaru students showed that both LKPD achieved an average score of 3.49, 3.48. Based on the results of the data analysis, it showed that the development of multiple intelligences based LKPD has successfully developed and is feasible for use as a reference in learning at school.Keywords: Development, Student Worksheet, Multiple Intelligences

Abstract

Abstract : The study was conducted aimed at isolation and identification bacteria in palm oil mill effluent in Lirik district from October to December 2018. The results of the study were used to design teaching materials in the form of a Student Worksheet (LKPD) in high school biology learning. This research was conducted in two stages, namely the field research stage and the design stage of teaching materials. The method used in this research is purposive sampling method. Bacterial identification was carried out by macroscopic / morphological observations which included observations of colony shape, colony edges and colony colors, then gram staining and biochemical tests were carried out. The results showed that it was thought that there were 3 genera of bacteria in palm oil mill effluents, the 3 genera of bacteria consisted of genus Enterobacter sp, Pseudomonas sp, and Bacillus sp. The results of this study can be used as a design teaching material in the form of Student Worksheets (LKPD) in biological kingdom monera material in high school.Key Words :Isolation, Identification, Bacteria, Palm oil Mill Effluent, Design Of Student Worksheets

Abstract

Abstract: Biopesticides are single active ingredients or compounds derived from plants (leaves, fruits, seeds or roots) functioning as repellents, pullers, antifertility (killers), killers and other forms, to control plant pest organisms (OPT). The basic ingredients used as biopesticides in this study are garlic (Allium sativum) and betel (Piper betle). This study aims to determine the effectiveness of garlic extract (Allium sativum) and betel nut (Piper betle) as a biopesticide against pests on mustard plants (Brassica juncea). This study uses a quantitative approach with a type of Completely Randomized Design (CRD) research. The results showed that the effective concentration in the use of biopesticides was at a concentration of 80% with the level of damage in the mild category and at the rate of 20%. The results of making garlic and betel nut extract can be used as one of the learning resources and learning media produced, namely in the form of LKPD (Student Worksheet).Key Words: Effectiveness of Biopesticides, Garlic and Betel Nut, and Mustard Greens

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to inventory the types of shade trees in the area of Riau University road and provide a source of learning about the diversity of plants concept in senior hig school. This study used survey method is to do an inventory of the types of road shade trees located along the main road in the campus area of the University of Riau and has been carried out in December 2013 to February 2014. Parameters used in this study is biological parameters such as the diversity, dominance by canopy cover, plant phenology, and botanical description of the way that the dominant shade trees in the campus area Bina Widya University of Riau and physical parameters namely temperature and humidity. The results showed that the composition of shade plants found in 5 study locations in Bina Widya campus area as many as 30 species of plants from 16 familia and diversity index in the region of Riau University Bina Widya campus area ranged from0.77 until 2.34 with medium category. The highest diversity index at the fourth location is 2.34 and the lowest was on location V is 0.77. Shade treea type domination in Bina Widya campus is mahoni. Shade trees phenology in Bina Widya campus generaliy green leafy.Keywords: inventory, shade trees, learning resources
