Abstract

PT. XYZ is a leading industry in the field of CPOB-based medicine (How to Make Drugs). Implementation of Practice Work at PT. XYZ aims to understand the scope, to understand the implementation of the work system as well as to occupational health and safety, to know the flow of production, to know the issues that are occurring, and to make improvements for the company. Problems found in PT.XYZ. The pearl of pearl Farms is Unsafe Behavior which is a work ethic that does not prioritize occupational health and safety. The solution to the problem is to use the Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) method with the result of paying close attention to environmental conditions on the production floor, providing K3 training to the workers and rewarding those who obey and sanction the violators, creating a display , provide tools and encourage employees to follow the company's SOP.

Abstract

This research was conducted in November to December 2019 at PT. Sejahtera Mandiri St. Raya Pekanbaru Bangkinang Km 16, Riau Province. This research aims to find out the layout of plant facilities and Material Handling of activities input until it becomes ouput. This activity is carried out by collecting data throug observation, interviews, to take several documents such as photographs. With these data are analyzed in terms of the layot of plant facilities and Material Handling at PT. Sejahtera Mandiri so it produces some proposed designs or proposed opinions related to the layout of plant facilities and Material Handling. The result of this study indicate that the layout of factory facilities and Material Handling PT Sejahtera Mandiri has been optimized according to factory area considerations but there are some input points, such as the allocation of several work stations and realted proposals Material Handling of one work station and other work station that aim can minimize production costs and production time.

Abstract

PT. XXX serviced the Kawasaki GPB80 gas turbine with the latest data on the use of gas fuel in gas turbine unit 6 on average 32,028 liters / day and the use of diesel fuel in turbine unit 3 is 39,111 liters / day. This research was conducted with field observations and literature studies. Field observations obtained the following data: pressure, temperature at predetermined points, engine generator, the surrounding environment and required supporting data. The specific fuel consumption obtained in unit 6 gas turbines using diesel fuel is 0.049 l / kW hour. turbine efficiency obtained in unit 3 gas turbines using diesel fuel is 9.02%. Decreased Torque performance in unit 3 gas turbine of 6186 Nm caused by an average T2 temperature of 85 0C before entering the combustion chamber so that the combustion process is incomplete in the combustion chamber resulting in thermal efficiency in the unit 3 gas turbine not proportional to the Specific Fuel Consumtion or usage diesel fuel against the effective power produced. The specific fuel consumption in unit 3 gas turbine is 0.06 l / kW.h while the unit 6 gas turbine is 0.04 l / k.W.h.

Abstract

Harvesting, loading and sorting activities in palm oil industry that conducted manually have some risks that can cause musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). This is happened due to repetitive of manual working, standing and bending position for 8 hours and 6 working days, this activity does not match the anthropometry of worker body. The analysis of the Nordic Body MAP questionnaire shows that the biggest complaints experienced by harvest workers are on the back (90%), right shoulder (60%), waist (15%), right calf (40%) the same as the forearm and left calf (30%). ).Work posture analysis using the OWAS method also supports the results of the NBM questionnaire analysis with the results of the analysis of the dominant bent shoulder attitude carried out by 68% (category 2), the attitude of the two arms is 53% (category 2) and the stance of the legs resting on both bent knees. 47% (category 3) with a combination of harvest posture code 4-2-2-2 (category 3).

Abstract

Abstract Conveyor in general is a tool that functions to move objects or loads from one place to another. In general, a belt conveyor system consists of a belt (belt), a front pulley (head pulley) equipped with a drive unit consisting of an electric motor and gearbox, a rear pulley (tail pulley), an upper idler (carry idler), and a lower idler. (return idlers). The method used in this research is the method of literature study and field observation. This research will also plan a design that is adapted to the conditions of the layout of the facility and also design according to the height of the mixer machine. Stages of data processing, the data processing process is carried out by finding the carrying capacity of the data processing process is carried out by calculating the speed of each series of conveyor belts using a time measuring device. the results of the design and manufacture of the belt conveyor that have been carried out, that the belt conveyor has a length of 4.5 m, with a frame width of 50, a height of 210 cm, using an electric motor with a power of hp. Abstract

Abstract Garbage is something that disturbs and affects the community environment. Organic waste comes from living things, both humans, animals, and plants, so that it can be used for animal feed which is processed by chopping. As for the results of field observations at the Bangkinang Kota market, it can be seen that organic waste types of cabbage and mustard are commonly found in the Bangkinang Kota market, organic waste such as carrots, tomatoes, chilies, potatoes and kale are found in many trash cans but the amount is less, this type of waste dry. For the Bangkinang City area, waste transportation is carried out 2 (two) times a day, namely in the morning and evening. The most waste generated is on Wednesdays and Sundays, because those days are market days in Bangkinang Kota. The waste generated reaches 1-2 tons per day. The organic waste chopper generally consists of a frame, top casing, bottom casing, inlet, outlet, axle, bearing, and blade. The manufacture of this tool at the Laboratory of Industrial Engineering, Universitas Pahlawan Tuanku Tambusai. The design and manufacture of organic cattle feed chopper has a size of 38 cm, width 51 cm and height 120 cm, using a 7 hp/5600 rpm diesel engine with a weight of 72 kg. Based on the test results, it can be concluded that organic mixed vegetable waste weighing 2 kg only takes 22 seconds faster, while cabbage weighing 2 kg takes 37 seconds and mustard greens weighing 2 kg takes 29 seconds. The amount of organic waste that is chopped as much as 6 kg only takes 88 seconds. Keywords: Design, chopper, organic waste.

Abstract

Pembuatan belt conveyor dan perancangan tata letak fasilitas. Conveyor secara umum adalah suatu alat yang berfungsi memindahkan benda atau beban dari suatu tempat ketempat yang lain, sedangkan tata letak fasilitas didefenisikan sebagai tata cara pengaturan fasilitas-fasilitas pabrik guna menunjang kelancaran proses produksi. Pada tugas akhir ini belt conveyor dengan panjang rangka 4,5 meter dan lebar rangka 0,5 meter. Panjang conveyor 4 meter dan lebar bel 0,3 meter. Metode yang digunakan untuk perancangan tata letak fasilitas adalah activity relationship chart dan promodel. Tahapan dalam pembuatan belt conveyor dan perancangan tata letak ini di desain komponen dengan menggunakan aplikasi autoCAD 2014 dan aplikasi promodel. Perhitungan luas area yang diperlukan dalam perancangan tata letak fasilitas adalah 69,4 meter. Hasil simulasi didapatkan waktu 120 menit, dari gudang bahan baku sampai gudang barang jadi persekali produksi bata ringan.

Abstract

This study aims to design an environmentally friendly biomass stove and make an environmentally friendly biomass stove. To calculate the cooking time using a biomass stove and to compare the time required on a biomass stove with a gas stove. The benefits for researchers are that they can make stoves that are competitive with gas or electric fuel stoves so that they become an alternative for the community and make biomass stoves one of the MSME products in the region. The type of research used in this study uses a qualitative research method with interview techniques. Informants or respondents in this study are housewives. The mothers were chosen because they were considered more experienced in cooking using the stove. From the research conducted, it is concluded that the results of the design of the biomass stove as an environmentally friendly stove, this biomass stove is able to reduce the carbon footprint because it produces fewer carbon emissions compared to fossil fuels. Reducing the amount of methane in the atmosphere because by using biomass, the amount of methane in the atmosphere can be reduced. Biomass stoves are stoves that are capable of making recycled fuel. This is a huge advantage as it means that no industrial output is wasted. All waste products from industry can be used to produce biomass energy.

Abstract

Measurement of workload is one of the factors needed by the company. Because by measuring the workload, the company can find out the allowable workload so that it can facilitate the effectiveness of workers and companies. One of the methods used to determine workload is by conducting a SWAT analysis. This analysis was carried out at PT Dipayana Okta Abadi which is an industry engaged in mining or quarrying C. This analysis was carried out by taking questionnaire data, and measuring by collecting data from SWAT card sequences on fifteen production workers, data analysis by processing the SWAT card sequencing results into the DOSBox program and then converting the computer results to the work performed, and drawing conclusions by converting the SWAT Rescaled values ??to the work. The final result of this analysis provides an overview of the workload felt by production workers. The results of the SWAT method show that the Time dimension is 60.86%, while the Effort load is 28.14% and the Stress load is 10.99%. It can be concluded that the time factor is very influential on the state of mental workload, it can be seen from the results of data processing that it is found that the time factor has the highest percentage, namely 60.86%.

Abstract

Roasting is a process of frying coffee without oil using high temperatures which aims to speed up the process of frying coffee beans. The coffee roasting process aims to form the taste and aroma of the coffee beans. The coffee roasting equipment used in this study was a horizontal cylinder type coffee roaster with a capacity of 2 kg. This machine rotates with an electric dynamo. It has a cylindrical tube with a length of 27.5 cm and the heat comes from an LPG (Liquefied petroleum gas) stove. The purpose of this research is to test the performance of coffee roasting equipment. The data that needs to be measured from this coffee roasting tool is the need for electrical power used, roasting capacity and the change in color of the coffee when it is roasted. The electric power used is 12 volts 15 amperes. The results of the dark roast test at 200°c at 21 minutes. The maximum capacity of this horizontal cylinder type roasting machine is 2 kilograms
