Abstract

In older adults, there is a decline in the ability to adapt to the external environment, accompanied by decreased physiological, cognitive, and psychological functions. These conditions may lead to errors in medication management and use among the elderly. One effort to prevent such problems is the correct implementation of the DAGUSIBU concept (Obtain, Use, Store, and Dispose of medicines). However, the level of knowledge of elderly people regarding DAGUSIBU has not been clearly identified, particularly in Nagari Aur Begalung, Pesisir Selatan Regency. This study aimed to describe the level of knowledge of the elderly community regarding DAGUSIBU medicines in Nagari Aur Begalung. This research employed an observational design with a cross-sectional approach. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire distributed to elderly respondents. The results showed that the majority of elderly respondents had a moderate level of knowledge regarding DAGUSIBU medicines, indicating that their understanding of proper medication management is not yet optimal. Therefore, continuous educational efforts are needed to improve elderly knowledge to ensure appropriate, safe, and rational use of medicines.

Abstract

Halitosis atau dikenal juga dengan bau mulut yang disebabkan oleh salah satunya bakteri Streptococcus mutans. Upaya untuk mengatasi halitosis yaitu menjaga kebersihan mulut dan menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri penyebab bau mulut. Kulit jeruk manis (Citrus sinensis L. mengandung senyawa flavonoid yang dapat menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Streptococcus mutans. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas ekstrak dalam bentuk mouthwash yang dapat menghambat bakteri penyebab bau mulut. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan secara eksperimental. Kulit jeruk manis diformulasi bentuk sediaan obat kumur dengan variasi konsentrasi 10%; 14% dan 18% serta dilakukan pengujian aktifitas antibakteri dengan metode difusi agar menggunakan cakram. Obat kumur yang sudah diformulasi disimpan pada suhu kamar selama 21 hari dan mengamati sifat fisik obat kumur meliputi organoleptis, pengujian kejernihan, pH, bobot jenis dan viskositas. Sifat fisik sediaan obat kumur yang diformulasi menunjukkan hasil yang hampir sama dengan sifat fisik pada sediaan obat kumur yang sudah beredar dipasaran. Untuk sediaan mouthwash pada formula F0 daya hambat sebesar 8 mm dan F1(10%) 10 mm yang termasuk kategori daya hambat sedang sedangkan pada F2 (14%) 12 mm dan F3 (18%)14 mm yang termasuk kategori daya hambat yang kuat. Analisis data menggunakan uji One Way Anova dengan hasil p>0,005 yang menunjukkan tidak adanya pengaruh yang signifikan antara konsentrasi ekstrak dan sediaan mouthwash.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study investigates the effect of K-braced Concentrically Braced Frame (CBF) variations on the structural behavior of a six-story steel frame building located in Pontianak with soft soil conditions (site class SE). The analysis was conducted using the equivalent lateral force method in accordance with SNI 1726:2019, with ten structural models simulated in ETABS. The parameters evaluated include natural period, maximum displacement, and inter-story drift. The results indicate that the structure without bracing exhibits the longest natural period and the largest lateral displacement. Full bracing installations on several bays (variations A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, and C2) significantly reduce the natural period and produce the smallest displacement and drift. In contrast, alternating bracing patterns (variations B3, D1, and D2) tend to increase structural flexibility, leading to reduced performance. Therefore, the configuration and distribution of bracing play a crucial role in enhancing the seismic performance of multi-story steel structures.
