Abstract

Adolescent girls who experience anemia are still high in Indonesia, namely by 23%, mainly due to iron deficiency. This study aims to analyze the nutritional status of adolescents with the incidence of anemia in female adolescents. The design in this study was a cross sectional study. The sample in this study were all students of the Midwifery Study Program Undergraduate Program and Midwifery Study Program Diploma Three STIKES YARSI Mataram who were included in the group of older adolescents, namely 17-20 years of age as many as 80 respondents. Nutritional status was determined based on Body Mass Index (BMI), while anemia status was determined based on hemoglobin levels as measured using the Easy Touch brand hemoglobin strip. Bivariate analysis was tested with Pearson Chi-square. The results showed that anemia was not related to the nutritional status of young women with a value of p=0.475 (p>0.005). This is because anemia has many risk factors, including length of menstruation, iron intake, and consuming iron absorption inhibitors. Therefore, it is recommended for young women to consume iron-rich foods and iron tablets.

Abstract

Angka kematian Ibu (AKI) merupakan salah satu indikator kesehatan yang penting dan mencerminkan derajat kesehatan di suatu wilayah, khususnya yang berkaitan dengan masalah kesehatan ibu dan anak. Salah satu upaya untuk menekan angka morbiditas dan mortalitas ibu dan anak adalah dengan memberikan asuhan kebidanan yang berkualitas pada saat sebelum persalinan, saat persalinan, dan sesudah persalinan. Proses persalinan terkadang tidak berjalan normal, sehingga tindakan sectio caesarea dapat dilakukan untuk menyelamatkan ibu dan janin. Persalinan dengan sectio caesarea adalah prosedur pembedahan dimana janin  dilahirkan melalui insisi dinding abdomen dan rahim ibu. Persalinan sectio caesarea mengalami nyeri yang lebih dibandingkan dengan persalinan normal. Nyeri post sectio secarea menyebabkan mobilisasi terbatas, bounding attachment terganggu, serta menghambat pemberian ASI. Strategi penatalaksanaan untuk mengatasi nyeri post sectio caesaria sangat diperlukan, baik secara farmakologi maupun nonfarmakologi. Tehnik massage merupakan salah satu terapi komplementer yang dapat digunakan sebagai terapi nonfarmakologi.Massage merupakan tehnik sentuhan serta pemijatan ringan yang dapat menghasilkan rasa rileks dalam tubuh, serta memberikan rasa nyaman. Foot massage merupakan salah satu tindakan massage yang dianggap menjadi metode yang tepat dalam mengurangi nyeri. Oleh karena itu perlu adanya bukti literature review yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh terapi foot massage terhadap nyeri post sectio caesarea. Studi ini merupakan suatu tinjauan literatur (literature review) meliputi studi pencarian sistematis data base terkomputerisasi (research gate, pubmed, google cendekia). Penulisan artikel ini menggunakan penulisan daftar pustaka Harvard. Berdasarkan delapan artikel penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terapi foot massage selama 20 menit efektif dapat mengurangi nyeri post sectio caesarea.

Abstract

ABSTRAKMasa bayi sering dipandang sebagai masa yang membutuhkan peran orang tua untuk menyatukan tumbuh kembang anak. Dalam laporan RISKESDAS 2018 balita gizi kurang di Indonesia tercatat sebesar 17.7%  masih dibawah taret RJPMN yaitu 17%. Masalah tersebut muncul bukan hanya karena kekurangan pangan namun bisa dari faktor lain seperti pemberian MP-ASI yang tidak adekuat tidak sesuai dengan kebutuhan gizi yang ada diusianya dan penyapihan dini. Tidak banyak ibu yang mengetahui cara pemberian gizi seimbang melalui MP-ASI, sehingga berdampak pada masalah pemenuhan gizi pada balita yang dapat menghambat pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu tentang pemberian MP-ASI yang tepat untuk memberikan gizi yang tepat pada bayi. Metode: penyuluhan, diskusi, tanya jawab, serta pretest dan posttest. Hasil:terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan ibu balita yang memiliki pengetahuan baik sebesar 33,4% yaitu dari 41,6% meningkat menjadi 75%, Kesimpulan: terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan ibu tentang makanan pendamping ASI (MPASI)yang tepat sebagai upaya pencegahan gizi buruk setelah diberikan penyuluhan Peserta yang hadir dengan antusias mengikuti kegiatan tersebut. Ibu banyak bertanya, terutama bagaimana membuat MPASI. Kata kunci: gizi buruk; MP-ASI; bayi ABSTRACTInfancy is often seen as a period that requires the role of parents to unify the child's growth and development. In the 2018 RISKESDAS report, malnutrition in Indonesia was recorded at 17.7%, still below the RJPMN target of 17%. This problem arises not only because of food shortages but can also be caused by other factors such as inadequate complementary feeding, not in accordance with the nutritional needs of their age and early weaning. Not many mothers know how to provide balanced nutrition through MP-ASI, so that it has an impact on nutritional fulfillment problems in toddlers which can hinder children's growth and development. The purpose of this service is to increase mother's knowledge about giving proper MP-ASI to provide proper nutrition to babies. Methods: counseling, discussion, question and answer, and pretest and posttest. Result: there was an increase in the knowledge of mothers who had good knowledge of 33.4%, from 41.6% increased to 75%, Conclusion: there was an increase in mother's knowledge about appropriate complementary foods for ASI (MPASI) as an effort to prevent malnutrition after being given counseling The participants who attended enthusiastically took part in the activity. Abstract

ABSTRAKAngka Kematian Bayi (AKB) di Indonesia masih tinggi. Angka kematian bayi sebagian besar disebabkan oleh faktor gizi. Pemberian ASI eksklusif dapat menurunkan angka kesakitan dan kematian bayi. Alasan paling umum ditemukan pada ibu menyusui yang berhenti menyusui adalah karena produksi ASI yang tidak mencukupi. Pemanfaatan tumbuhan/sayuran yang berfungsi sebagai galaktogogue dapat dijadikan salah satu alternatif untuk meningkatkan produksi ASI. Daun kelor merupakan salah satu tanaman yang sering digunakan masyarakat untuk meningkatkan produksi ASI. Berdasarkan hal tersebut maka perlu dilakukan edukasi peningkatan pengetahuan tentang penggunaan sayur bening daun kelor (Moringa oleifera) sebagai pelancar ASI. Tujuan dilakukan edukasi yaitu untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu nifas tentang kegunaan sayur bening daun kelor sebagai pelancar ASI. Kegiatan pendidikan kesehatan ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 17 Desember 2022 di Kelurahan Jempong Baru Kecamatan Sekarbela Kota Mataram. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu menggunakan metode ceramah, dan untuk medianya yaitu menggunakan leaflet. Mitra Pengabdian masyarakat ini yaitu Kelurahan Jempong Baru Kecamatan Sekarbela Kota Mataram yang melibatkan 23 ibu nifas. Hasil pretest didapatkan sebagain besar pengetahuan ibu nifas yaitu 47,8% memiliki pengetahuan baik, dan mengalami peningkatan menjadi 73,9% setelah diberikan edukasi kesehatan tentang kegunaan sayur bening daun kelor sebagai pelancar ASI. Setelah kegiatan pengabdian ibu nifas diharapkan dapat memanfaatkan daun kelor yang diolah menjadi sayur bening sebagai upaya dalam meningkatkan kelancaran ASI.  Kata kunci: ASI; pengetahuan; sayur bening daun kelor ABSTRACTThe Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) in Indonesia is still high. Utilization of plants/vegetables that function as galactogogue can be used as an alternative to increase milk production. Moringa leaves are one of the plants that people often use to increase milk production. Based on this, it is necessary to carry out education to increase knowledge about the use of clear vegetable Moringa leaves (Moringa oleifera) as a facilitating breast milk. The aim of this education is to increase the knowledge of postpartum mothers about the use of clear vegetable Moringa leaves as a means of facilitating breast milk. This health education activity was carried out on December 17 2022 in Jempong Baru Village, Sekarbela District, Mataram City. The method used in this community service activity is using the lecture method, and for the media, using leaflets. This community service partner is Jempong Baru Village, Sekarbela District, Mataram City which involved 23 postpartum mothers. The pretest results showed that most of the knowledge of postpartum mothers, namely 47.8% had good knowledge, and increased to 73.9% after being given health education about the use of clear vegetable Moringa leaves as a breast milk booster. After the service activities, postpartum mothers are expected to be able to utilize Moringa leaves which are processed into clear vegetables as an effort to improve the smoothness of breast milk. Keywords: breast milk; knowledge; clear vegetable moringa leaves

Abstract

Less milk production is one of the causes of failure of exclusive breastfeeding in Indonesia. Milk production can be increased by using herbs, namely katuk leaves. Katuk leaves are usually processed into clear vegetables. However, milk production is still low. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effect of health education on the knowledge of third-trimester pregnant women about the method of making katuk leaf clear vegetable as an effort to increase milk production. The method in this study was a quasi-experiment with a one group pretest – posttest design. The number of samples used in this study was the total population of pregnant women in the third trimester of 28 people. This research was conducted in August 2022 in Jempong Baru Village, Mataram City. Bivariate analysis uses the T-Test because the data is normally distributed with a significant value of 0.083>0.05. The results of the bivariate analysis showed that there was an effect of providing health education on the third trimester pregnant women's knowledge of the method of making katuk leaf clear vegetable with a p value <0.05 (p=0.006). In addition, there was an increase in the knowledge of pregnant women by 25% after being given health education. The conclusion in this study is that health education can increase pregnant women's knowledge about the method of making katuk leaf clear vegetable. It is recommended for pregnant women to increase knowledge about plant processing methods that can increase milk production so that breastfeeding mothers can give exclusive breastfeeding.

Abstract

Introduction: The mortality rate is an important health indicator and reflects the degree of health in an area. The Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) in Indonesia is still high. The infant mortality rate is largely due to nutritional factors. Some diseases that arise due to malnutrition include pneumonia, diarrhea, and perinatal. Exclusive breastfeeding can reduce infant morbidity and mortality. The most common reason found in breastfeeding mothers who stop breastfeeding is due to insufficient milk production. Utilization of plants/vegetables such as Moringa Oleifera is often used by the community to increase milk production. The most widely used processing of Moringa Oleifera by nursing mothers is to make it a clear vegetable. The aim of this study was to screen for phytochemicals on the clear vegetables of Moringa Oleifera. Methods: The method in this study was to carry out laboratory tests on clear vegetable Moringa Oleifera consisting of 150 grams of Moringa Oleifera, 750 cc of water, and salt to taste. Alkaloid screening used Mayer's and Dragendorff's reagents, while steroids used acetic acid, anhydrous and concentrated H2SO4 reagents. Results: The results showed that the clear vegetable of Moringa oleifera showed the content of alkaloid and steroid compounds. Conclusion: Utilization of clear vegetable moringa leaves is an alternative that can be used to overcome the problem of insufficient milk production, besides being cheap and easy to obtain. Suggestion: Future researchers are advised to conduct research that can be directly applied to breastfeeding mothers to prevent failure of exclusive breastfeeding due to insufficient milk production.

Abstract

The problem experienced by toddlers is that growth disorders in Indonesia have started to emerge from children aged 1-6 months, so that efforts are needed to reduce the rate of growth disorders or to or to increase weight presentation. Increasing body weight is an indicator of infant health that can be used as a benchmark for infant growth. Body weight is the most important anthropometric measure and is most often used in newborns (neonates). One of the treatments that can be done to increase body weight is by giving massage to babies. Baby massage can stimulate the penvernaan hormones insulin and gaselin, so that food absorption becomes better. This causes babies to feel hungry quickly so they eat more often and gain weight. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of infant massage on infant weight gain. The method in this study is a literature review, which tries to explore how the effect of infant massage on infant weight gain. The results in this study indicate that the results of 6 previous studies indicate that there is a significant effect of infant massage on the increase in infant body weight. The conclusion in this study is that massage in infants can increase the baby's weight. This is because the massage that is carried out regularly on babies is used to massage the legs, stomach, chest, hands, back, and stretching movements can increase the baby's weight. The massage will cause nerve action potential that stimulates the vagus nerve.

Abstract

Labor is a normal process characterized by uterine contractions that cause significant cervical dilatation accompanied by expulsion of the fetus and placenta from the woman's body. The progress of labor in the first stage is the most tiring, strenuous, and most mothers begin to feel pain or pain, in this phase most mothers feel severe pain because uterine activities begin to be more active. The active phase of the first stage of labor involves a lot of energy, so the nutritional needs of the first stage need special attention from the labor manager. One of the fruits that contain considerable energy is the date palm which contains fructose and glucose, all of which are energy sources that are easily absorbed by the body. Dates contain lots of carbohydrates, affect the progress and spontaneity of labor and reduce postpartum hemorrhage. Dates contain saturated and unsaturated fatty acids such as oleic, linoleic, and linolenic acids. Fatty acids in addition to providing and ordering energy, contribute to the delivery of prostaglandins. Therefore, dates can help in saving energy and strengthening the uterine muscles.

Abstract

The number of women entering the climacteric phase is expected to increase. Menopausal women will experience a decrease in the amount of estrogen, causing various discomforts. Soybeans and their processed products act as natural estrogens. Objective: to increase perimenopausal women's knowledge about the utilization of soy and its processed products as an effort to reduce discomfort in perimenopausal women. Methods: counseling, discussion, question and answer, and pretest and posttest. Results: there was an increase in the knowledge of perimenopausal women's who had good knowledge of 23,4%, that is, from 66,7% it increased to 90,1%. Conclusion: there is an increase in perimenopausal women's knowledge about the use of soy and its processed products as an effort to reduce discomfort in perimenopausal women. It is recommended for perimenopausal women to increase consumption of soy and its processed products to reduce complaints during perimenopause.

Abstract

Nutritional status is a condition of the body resulting from food consumption and use of nutrients. Riskesdas data in 2013 shows that West Nusa Tenggara has a fairly high prevalence of malnutrition, namely 25.7% of the national standard. Wasting is an acute malnutrition problem that can indirectly increase the risk of morbidity and death in children under 5 years of age. Currently, wasting is still a serious public health problem with a prevalence rate of 11.1% in Indonesia. One of the factors causing disruption of nutritional status can be seen directly. This study aims to determine the relationship between protein intake and the incidence of wasting in toddlers. Cross sectional research was conducted on 100 respondents selected through a household survey. Data was collected through observation and interviews with respondents. The results of this study show a relationship between protein intake and the incidence of wasting in toddlers as seen from the BW/TB indicator. It is necessary to provide guidance on increasing nutritional intake, especially protein intake, and handling infectious diseases in toddlers so that malnutrition can be managed well.
