Abstract

The goal of the community service entitled Introduction to English through songs at TPQ Al Kautsar 1 is to introduce English vocabulary through songs to improve students' comprehension of English. English song content taught at TPQ Al Kautsar 1 has never been obtained. The first stage was to conduct a series of English language introduction activities for pupils using songs to train pupils at TPQ Al Kautsar. Community service increased pupils' English comprehension. TPQ Al Kautsar pupils, based on observations made by the community service team, there are indications of increased English comprehension among pupils at TPQ Al Kautsar 1.

Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang berjudul peningkatan berbahasa Inggris melalui storytelling di TPQ Al Kautsar 1 adalah memberikan pelatihan storytelling agar meningkatkan pemahaman berbahasa Inggris pada santri TPQ Al Kautsar 1. Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh santri adalah para santri belum pernah mendapatkan materi storytelling agama yang diajarkan di TPQ Al Kautsar 1. Langkah yang dilakukan adalah melakukan serangkaian kegiatan pelatihan storytelling kepada mahasiswa untuk memberikan pelatihan kepada santri TPQ Al Kautsar 1. Kesimpulan hasil pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah terdapat peningkatan pemahaman berbahasa Inggris dalam memahami storytelling pada santri TPQ Al Kautsar 1. Indikasi peningkatan pemahaman berbahasa Inggris ada 10 santri TPQ Al Kautsar 1 terlihat peningkatan berdasarkan observasi yang dilakukan oleh tim pengabdian kepada masyarakat.

Abstract

Pendampingan satuan tugas protokol kesehatan merupakan kegiatan dengan tujuan agar pencegahan terhadap penyebaran virus Covid-19 dapat dilaksanakan dengan baik. Masalah yang berkaitan dengan pelaksanaan protokol kesehatan di Masjid Abu Bakar Ash-Shiddiq Desa Gonilan, Kecamatan Kartasura, Kabupaten Sukoharjo adalah bagaimana para jamaah menjalankan protokol kesehatan dengan baik selama pelaksanaan ibadah pada Bulan Ramadhan 1443 Hijriah agar aman dan nyaman serta terhindar dari terjangkitnya virus Covid-19. Tujuan pengabdian dengan topik pendampingan satuan tugas protokol kesehatan di Masjid Abu Bakar Ash-Shiddiq selama bulan Ramadhan 1443 Hijriah adalah untuk meningkatkan kesadaran para jamaah akan pentingnya penerapan protokol kesehatan dengan menggunakan masker, menjaga jarak saat berwudhlu dan beribadah di dalam masjid, dan sholat tarawih, sholat wajib, maupun iktikaf di masjid tetap memperhatikan kapasitas maksimal, termasuk tidak membuat kerumunan di titik tertentu sebelum dan sesudah beribadah. Metode pengabdian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode simulasi dan pendampingan. Hasil pendampingan tersebut adalah para jamaah Masjid Abu Bakar Ash-Shiddiq Desa Gonilan Kecamatan Kartasura Kabupaten Sukoharjo dapat mengimplementasikan protokol kesehatan dengan baik dan aman serta nyaman dalam beribadah sholat wajib, sholat tarawih, dan iktikaf selama Bulan Ramadhan 1443 Hijriah. Selain itu tak satupun jamaah yang terjangkit virus Covid-19 sampai berakhirnya Bulan Ramadhan 1443 Hijriah. Kata kunci: pendampingan, satuan tugas protokol Kesehatan, bulan Ramadhan 1443 Hijriah Abstract Assistance to the health protocol task force is an activity with the aim that prevention of the spread of Covid-19 virus can be carried out properly. The problem related to the implementation of health protocols at the Abu Bakar Ash-Shiddiq Mosque, Gonilan Village, Kartasura District, Sukoharjo Regency is how the pilgrims carry out health protocols properly during worship at Ramadan month 1443 Hijri to be safe and comfortable and to avoid the spread of Covid-19 virus. The purpose of the service with the topic of assisting the health protocol task force at the Abu Bakar Ash-Siddiq Mosque during Ramadan month 1443 Hijri is to increase the awareness of congregation about the importance of implementing health protocols by using masks, maintaining distance when performing ablution and worshiping in the mosque, and performing tarawih prayers. Compulsory prayers, as well as i’tikaf in the mosque, still pay attention to the maximum capacity, including not creating crowds at certain points before and after worship. The service method is carried out by using simulation and mentoring. The results of this assistance were that the congregation of the Abu Bakar Ash-Shiddiq Mosque could implement health protocols properly, safely and comfortably in worshiping obligatory prayers, tarawih prayers, and i’tikaf during Ramadan month 1443 Hijri. In addition, none of the pilgrims contracted the Covid-19 virus until the end of Ramadan month 1443 Hijri. Keywords: assistance, health protocol task force, Ramadhan month 1443 Hijri

Abstract

Background: Many of Didi Kempot’s campursari songs have the themes of tourist attractions. In the Javanese song lyrics and carry the sadness of a man who lost his lover, they contain various figurative languages and meanings related to the ethics and attitudes of Javanese people in using language in their lives by showing language and figurative languages when talking to certain people at a certain place and at a certain time. However, not many people know the figurative languages and meanings expressed in the lyrics of tourist attraction themed songs. Methodology: The campursari songs with the themes of tourist attractions were first studied. The lyrics taken from the seven songs were analyzed based on Gibbs’ types of figurative language and Leech’s types of meaning. Three expert raters who are fluent in Javanese, Indonesian and English were asked to review the accuracy and clarity. In using content analysis, the primary data were gathered from the Didi Kempot & Sobat Ambyar Orchestra-YouTube video. Findings: The types of figurative language in the lyrics of campursari songs with the themes of tourist attractions are personification, hyperbole, litotes, simile and repetition. The types of meaning contained in the lyrics of campursari songs are conceptual, connotative, social, affective, reflective, collocative and thematic meanings. The meanings related to Javanese ethics and attitudes include the attitudes of narima ‘receptiveness’, sabar ‘patient’, tepa slira ‘tolerance’, aja ngaya ‘don’t push yourself’ and aja srakah ‘don’t be greedy’. Conclusion: The results of this study are expected to make the public better know and understand the figurative languages and of meanings contained in the lyrics of campursari songs with the themes of tourist attractions. Originality: This study attempts to analyze the figurative languages and the meanings of the lyrics of campursari songs with the themes of tourist attractions, as never been previously done, and make the public better know and understand them. This research also intends to analyze the meanings associated with the ethics and attitudes of the Javanese in using figurative languages in their lives. Abstract

Indonesia has significant potential in sheep and goat farming, but it is still dominated by small businesses with limited technology. Limited livestock ownership hinders its development as a primary source of income. Key challenges include feed shortages during the dry season and suboptimal waste utilization. Furthermore, feed production capacity remains low and inefficient. To address these challenges, this community service program was designed to provide and implement grass choppers and ribbon mixers for the Manunggal 2 Farmers Group in Jurug Village, Jumapolo District, Karanganyar Regency. The development process involved several stages, including design, fabrication, testing, and training the local community in machine operation and maintenance. Results showed that farmers were able to operate and maintain the machines effectively, thereby increasing efficiency in feed preparation and processing livestock waste into organic fertilizer. The developed machines demonstrated several advantages, including high production capacity (up to 45 kg/hour), uniform cutting results, and reduced labor requirements. Furthermore, the program not only provided a technical solution to address food shortages but also increased youth participation and strengthened local economic capacity through the application of appropriate technology. The success of this program provides a strong foundation for further replication and development in other regions facing similar challenges.

Abstract

Sektor peternakan kambing di Indonesia memiliki potensi besar sebagai sumber protein hewani sekaligus penopang ekonomi pedesaan. Namun, keterbatasan akses teknologi, biaya pakan yang tinggi, serta rendahnya homogenitas pencampuran pakan secara manual masih menjadi kendala utama dalam meningkatkan produktivitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi mesin pencampur pakan tipe ribbon mixer dalam program pemberdayaan masyarakat, khususnya pada Kelompok Ternak Manunggal 2, Desa Jurug, Kecamatan Jumapolo, Kabupaten Karanganyar. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi desain, pembuatan, uji kinerja, serta pelatihan pengoperasian dan perawatan mesin kepada peternak melalui pendekatan partisipatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mesin ribbon mixer mampu menghasilkan homogenitas campuran 90–95%, kapasitas produksi hingga 50–500 kg/siklus, serta efisiensi waktu pencampuran yang meningkat 40–50% dibandingkan metode manual. Dampak ekonomi yang terukur adalah penurunan biaya pakan sebesar 15–20% dan peningkatan pendapatan peternak 20–30% per siklus produksi. Selain itu, program pemberdayaan berbasis teknologi ini memperkuat kelembagaan kelompok ternak, meningkatkan keterlibatan pemuda, dan mendorong kemandirian ekonomi lokal. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa penerapan teknologi tepat guna tidak hanya memberikan solusi teknis pada masalah penyediaan pakan, tetapi juga berkontribusi pada pencapaian tujuan pembangunan berkelanjutan terkait pengentasan kemiskinan, ketahanan pangan, serta pertumbuhan ekonomi pedesaan.
