Abstract

The distinctive value of charismatic churches lies in their approach to the experience of praise and worship, characterized by a unique style. Music plays a crucial role in charismatic churches, serving as the foundation of their worship practices. In addition to music, bodily movements are commonly observed and considered a natural expression in the worship style of charismatic churches. The incorporation of bodily movements adds a tactile and visual dimension to the spiritual experience of the congregation. This particular style of praise and worship not only deepens the faith of the congregation but also has the potential to positively impact their mental well-being. By engaging in this worship style, congregants can achieve a profound sense of spiritual fulfillment and heightened awareness of God's presence. Moreover, participants often report experiencing a sense of internal renewal, along with increased positive emotions and emotional well-being when engaging in the worship activities of charismatic churches. Through qualitative and descriptive analysis, the author seeks to examine various aspects of praise and worship in charismatic churches. It is evident that the charismatic church's approach to praise and worship offers numerous benefits that contribute to the spiritual enrichment and overall well-being of its members. The positive and holistic effects of the charismatic church's praise and worship style on the spiritual life of the congregation are thoroughly explored in the author's review.AbstrakNilai khas gereja karismatik terletak pada pendekatannya terhadap pengalaman praise worship, yang ditandai dengan gaya yang unik. Musik memainkan peran penting dalam gereja karismatik, berfungsi sebagai landasan praktik ibadah mereka. Selain musik, gerak tubuh umumnya diamati dan dianggap sebagai ekspresi alami dalam gaya ibadah gereja karismatik. Penggabungan gerak tubuh menambah dimensi sentuhan dan visual pada pengalaman spiritual jemaat. Gaya praise worship khusus ini tidak hanya memperdalam iman jemaat tetapi juga memiliki potensi untuk berdampak positif pada kesejahteraan mental mereka. Dengan terlibat dalam gaya ibadah ini, anggota jemaat dapat mencapai rasa pemenuhan rohani yang mendalam dan kesadaran yang tinggi akan kehadiran Tuhan. Selain itu, peserta sering melaporkan mengalami rasa pembaruan internal, bersama dengan peningkatan perasaan positif dan kesejahteraan emosional ketika terlibat dalam kegiatan ibadah gereja yang karismatik. Melalui penelitian analisis kualitatif dan deskriptif, penulis berusaha untuk memeriksa berbagai aspek praise worhsip gereja karismatik. Jelas bahwa pendekatan gereja karismatik terhadap praise worship menawarkan berbagai manfaat yang berkontribusi pada pengayaan spiritual dan kesejahteraan keseluruhan anggotanya. Efek positif dan holistik dari gaya praise worship gereja karismatik terhadap kehidupan spiritual jemaat dieksplorasi secara menyeluruh dalam ulasan penulis.

Abstract

The transformation of the mind is essential for every believer. The transformation of the mind leads to repentance, which brings about a change in the life of every believer. This transformation is necessary for the congregation of believers to achieve moral, ethical, and spiritual values in their lives. The transformation of the mind leads the congregation to dedicate their lives to ecclesiastical service. This can be achieved if the transformation of the mind is carried out within the framework of Romans 12:2. Romans 12:2 provides the fundamental basis for the life of believers to experience a transformation of the mind that leads to repentance. Through a descriptive qualitative approach, the author attempts to exegetically analyse Romans 12:2 to uncover the true meaning of the transformation of the mind that leads to repentance. Proper exegetical analysis indicates that Romans 12:2 brings about a renewal of the mind that results in repentance, thereby transforming the lives of believers in accordance with the truth of God's Word and having a spiritual impact on the lives of believers.AbstrakArtikel ini disusun untuk menelusuri transformasi akal budi dalam Roma 12:2 secara eksegetikal dan dampaknya bagi kehidupan rohani jemaat. Transformasi akal budi adalah hal yang dibutuhkan oleh setiap orang percaya. Transformasi akal budi akan mendatangkan pertobatan yang membawa setiap orang percaya kepada sebuah perubahan hidup. Transformasi akal budi dibutuhkan oleh jemaat orang percaya agar nilai moral, etis dan spiritual dapat tercapai dalam kehidupan jemaat orang percaya. Transformasi akal budi membawa jemaat mendedikasikan hidupnya bagi pelayanan gerejawi. Hal tersebut dapat dicapai apabila transformasi akal budi dilaksanakan dalam kerangka Roma 12:2. Roma 12:2 memberikan basis fundamental dalam kehidupan orang percaya agar dapat mengalami transformasi akal budi yang membawa jemaat mengalami pertobatan. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, penulis mencoba mengurai Roma 12:2 secara eksegetikal untuk mendapatkan makna sesungguhnya transformasi akal budi yang memberi dampak kepada pertobatan. Analisis eksegesis yang tepat menyatakan bahwa Roma 12:2 membawa sebuah pembaharuan akal budi yang mendatangkan pertobatan sehingga kehidupan orang percaya dapat berubah sesuai dengan kebenaran Firman Tuhan serta memberi dampak secara spiritual bagi kehidupan orang percaya.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the trinitarian triadic pattern in the perspective of covenant theology with the exposition of John 14:26. The concept of the trinity is the foundation of Christian faith that affirms who and how God is. The trinitarian triadic pattern is seen in John 14:26 where the Father sends the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus Christ. This pattern emphasizes the intra-trinitarian relationship involved in the lives of human beings. The trinitarian triadic pattern in John 14:26 can also be seen from the perspective of covenant theology. The presence of the Holy Spirit is the fulfillment of the covenant that the Father has established through the work of the Son from eternity. The fulfillment of the covenant has an active impact in the lives of believers. Through a descriptive qualitative approach, the author analyzes the triadic pattern of the trinity in the perspective of covenant theology through the exposition of John 14:26. The author states that the exposition of John 14:26 shows a trinitarian triadic pattern that is also closely related in the perspective of the covenant. This paper provides new theological insights in trinitarian studies through a covenantal approach.AbstrakTujuan dari tulisan ini adalah untuk menganalisa pola triadik trinitarian dalam perspektif teologi kovenan dengan eksposisi Yohanes 14:26. Konsep trinitas merupakan dasar iman Kristen yang menegaskan siapa dan bagaimana Allah itu. Pola triadik trinitarian terlihat di dalam Yohanes 14:26 dimana Bapa mengirimkan Roh Kudus dalam nama Yesus Kristus. Pola ini menegaskan hubungan intra-trinitarian yang terlibat di dalam kehidupan umat manusia. Pola triadik trinitarian dalam Yohanes 14:26 juga dapat dilihat dari perspektif teologi kovenan. Kehadiran Roh Kudus merupakan pemenuhan kovenan yang telah Bapa rangkai melalui pekerjaan sang Anak dari kekekalan. Pemenuhan kovenan tersebut berdampak aktif di dalam kehidupan umat percaya. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, penulis menganalisa pola triadik trinitaraian dalam perspektif teologi kovenan melalui eksposisi Yohanes 14:26. Penulis menyatakan bahwa eksposisi Yohanes 14:26 menunjukkan sebuah pola triadik trinitarian yang juga berkaitan erat dalam perspektif kovenan. Tulisan ini memberikan wawasan teologis yang baru dalam kajian trinitarian melalui pendekatan kovenantal.

Abstract

This paper is designed to explore the transformation of church spiritual life in the digital era and the implications of digital religion for Christian religious education. Digital religion is a phenomenon that arises due to the rapid development of technology. Digital religion presents religious interactions in the digital space. Digital religion also changes the spiritual life of the congregation where worship celebrations, transmission of religious messages and pastoral care also experience significant changes. Through a descriptive qualitative approach, the author tries to explore how digital religion has implications for Christian religious education including transforming the spiritual life of the congregation. The author argues that churches, church leaders and Christian educators need to prepare themselves to equip congregants and learners about this digital religion phenomenon. This paper offers a practical attitude for church leaders and Christian educators to prepare themselves in facing digital religion so that the spiritual life of the congregation can be optimized properly.AbstrakTulisan ini dirancang untuk menelusuri transformasi kehidupan rohani jemaat dalam era digital dan implikasi digital religion terhadap pendidikan agama Kristen. Digital religion merupakan fenomena yang muncul dikarenakan perkembangan teknologi yang sangat pesat. Digital religion menghadirkan interaksi-interaksi keagamaan di ruang digital. Digital religion juga mengubah kehidupan rohani jemaat dimana perayaan ibadah, transmisi pesan keagamaan dan pastoral juga mengalami perubahan yang signifikan. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, penulis mencoba untuk mengeksplor bagaimana digital religion memberikan implikasi terhadap pendidikan agama Kristen termasuk mentransformasikan kehidupan rohani jemaat. Penulis menyatakan bahwa gereja, pemimpin gereja dan pendidik Kristen perlu mempersiapkan diri untuk memperlengkai jemaat dan peserta didik tentang fenomena digital religion ini. Tulisan ini menawarkan sebuah sikap praktis bagi pemimpin gereja dan pendidik Kristen untuk mempersiapkan diri dalam menghadapi digital religion agar kehidupan rohani jemaat dapat teroptimalisasi dengan baik.

Abstract

This paper is designed to theologically analyze spiritual regeneration in John 3:3-7 and its impact on the transformation of the church in ecclesiastical service. Spiritual regeneration is urgent and must be experienced by believers at the beginning of their conversion. Through spiritual regeneration, the transformative power of God can shape the life of the believer. Spiritual regeneration has a clear theological basis in John 3:3-7 through the conversation between Jesus and Nicodemus. John 3:3-7 explains that spiritual regeneration is initiated by God Himself and facilitated by the Holy Spirit. Spiritual regeneration brings humanity to experience the kingdom of God. Through a descriptive qualitative approach, the author theologically analyze spiritual regeneration in John 3:3-7 and how it impacts the life of the congregation which is also influential in church service activities. The author asserts that the theological analysis of John 3:3-7 states that spiritual regeneration is very crucial in the spiritual life of the church. This paper is useful for providing theological contributions to the insight of spiritual regeneration in the context of today's church. AbstrakTulisan ini disusun untuk menganalisis secara teologis regenerasi rohani dalam Yohanes 3:3-7 serta dampaknya terhadap transformasi jemaat dalam pelayanan gerejawi. Regenerasi rohani merupakan hal yang urgen dan harus dialami oleh orang percaya di awal pertobatannya. Melalui regenerasi rohani, maka kuasa transformatif Allah dapat membentuk kehidupan orang percaya tersebut. Regenerasi rohani memiliki basis teologi yang jelas di dalam Yohanes 3:3-7 melalui percakapan antara Yesus dan Nikodemus. Yohanes 3:3-7 menjelaskan bahwa regenerasi rohani di inisiasi oleh Allah sendiri dan difasilitasi oleh Roh Kudus. Regenerasi rohani membawa umat manusia mengalami kerajaan Allah. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, penulis menganalisa secara teologis mengenai regenerasi rohani dalam Yohanes 3:3-7 dan bagaimana dampaknya terhadap kehidupan jemaat yang juga berpengaruh di dalam kegiatan pelayanan gerejawi. Penulis menegaskan bahwa analisis teologis Yohanes 3:3-7 menyatakan regenerasi rohani merupakan hal yang sangat krusial di dalam kehidupan rohani jemaat. Tulisan ini menawarkan sumbangsih teologis bagi wawasan regenerasi rohani dalam konteks gereja masa kini.

Abstract

This article is composed to explore the meaning of higher criticism concerning the inerrancy of the Bible and its impact on the Christian faith. The Bible as the word of God is a core doctrine in the Christian faith that cannot be negotiated. When reading the Bible, readers must submit themselves to the system of biblical understanding. Reading the Bible and subsequently engaging in textual criticism of the Bible is considered an incorrect approach. Criticism of the Bible, whether textual or historical criticism, began to particularly develop during the Enlightenment era. Biblical inerrancy is a statement asserting that the Bible is without error. The relationship between biblical inerrancy and biblical criticism is dialectical in nature. The author employs a descriptive qualitative research method to demonstrate that the Bible possesses the attribute of inerrancy, is a revelation from God, and to conduct exegetical studies from both the Old and New Testaments to provide authentic evidence for the strengthening of the Christian faith.

Abstract

The Merdeka Belajar policy, supported by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, initiated a significant evolution in the educational framework, particularly at the College of Christian Theology. The initiative gives students the autonomy to choose courses, engage in project-based learning, and take part in extracurricular experiences, all aimed at cultivating students' character and spirituality. The implementation of Merdeka Belajar at the College of Christian Theology creates an environment conducive to the development of critical thinking skills, creativity, and an enriched understanding of theology and Christian principles. This study sought to investigate the consequences of this policy on the educational process, students' involvement in external activities, and their role in the formation of students' character and spirituality through a descriptive qualitative methodology based on a literature review. Findings indicate that this policy positively influences character development among students, enhancing their abilities in collaboration, autonomy, creativity, and ethical standards. This research aspires to illuminate the impact of Merdeka Bilajar's policy in the realm of theological education and facilitate more comprehensive student development, integrating intellectual, character, and spiritual dimensions.

Abstract

This paper explores the concept of logos in John 1:1 ontologically and epistemologically through the perspective of metaphysical philosophy. The concept of logos metaphysically generally emphasizes a principle that governs the cosmos. Logos from an ontological perspective is the fundamental thing that supports human existence. Logos epistemologically is a framework that expresses knowledge. Logos in John 1:1 has a meaning and concept that goes beyond that. John synthesizes logos to emphasize Jesus Christ, not just an abstract concept. John's synthesis of logos brings the concept and meaning of logos to be evolved. Through a descriptive qualitative approach, the author tries to explore the ontological and epistemological logos through the perspective of metaphysical philosophy and see it in John 1:1. Metaphysical philosophy's exploration of the ontological and epistemological logos enriches the meaning of logos in John 1:1, but John evaluates the exploration in the person of Jesus Christ.AbstrakTulisan ini mengeksplorasi konsep logos dalam Yohanes 1:1 secara ontologis dan epistemologis melalui perspektif filsafat metafisik. Konsep logos secara metafisik pada umumnya menegaskan sebuah prinsip yang mengatur kosmos. Logos secara perspektif ontologis merupakan hal fundamental yang mendukung keberadaan manusia. Logos secara epistemologis merupakan kerangka yang menyatakan pengetahuan. Logos di dalam Yohanes 1:1 memiliki arti dan konsep yang melampui hal tersebut. Yohanes mensisntesiskan logos untuk menekankan Yesus Kristus, bukan hanya sekedar konsep abstrak. Sintesis logos yang dilakukan oleh Yohanes membawa konsep dan arti logos menjadi terelevasi. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, penulis mencoba melakukan eksplorasi ontologis dan epistemologis logos melalui perspektif filsafat metafisik dan melihatnya dalam Yohanes 1:1. Abstract

Preaching is a form of Christian ministry in which a preacher delivers the message of God's Word. The role of preaching is central in Christian ministry. The preaching role can influence the character of individuals or congregations. In this modern era, the role of preaching has been replaced by the sophistication of artificial intelligence where the use of artificial intelligence to deliver the Word of God has occurred in Germany. The use of artificial intelligence is made possible because artificial intelligence is able to replicate human intelligence and make decisions as well as explore various religious-related information in delivering the Word. However, ethically, the use of artificial intelligence results in the drying up of human spiritual experience. The use of artificial intelligence in delivering the Word replaces humans cannot bring about spiritual growth. Through a descriptive qualitative approach, the author attempts to describe the concept of preaching according to the Bible. The author also describes the sophistication of artificial intelligence. The author will examine this from ethical and appropriateness perspectives. The author states that the role of AI replacing humans in preaching is inappropriate and unethical. It is humans who should deliver the message of God's Word.

Abstract

Emotional Intelligence is an intelligence in managing emotions and self-motivation. Emotional intelligence is required by learners. Emotional intelligence can be enhanced through story-telling based teaching. Story-telling is a teaching method involving narration. The content of story-telling determines how learners' emotional intelligence is formed. Through story-telling, learners can be trained to possess good emotions and cultivate noble characters according to the teaching material. Philippians 4:4 can be used as teaching material to enrich learners' emotional intelligence. Philippians 4:4 teaches that happiness and joy will arise when all attention is focused on Jesus Christ and His redemption work. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the author asserts that teaching learners with Philippians 4:4 through story-telling can enrich and enhance emotional intelligence.AbstrakKecerdasan Emosional adalah sebuah kecerdasan dalam mengelola emosi dan memotivasi diri dimana kecerdasan emosional dibutuhkan oleh peserta didik. Kecerdasan emosional dapat dipacu dengan pengajaran berbasis story-telling dan story-telling adalah sebuah metode ajar dengan bercerita. Materi story-telling menentukan bagaimana kecerdasan emosional peserta didik terbentuk. Dengan story-telling, peserta didik dapat dilatih untuk memiliki emosi yang baik dan menghasilkan karakter yang luhur sesuai dengan materi ajar. Filipi 4:4 dapat digunakan sebagai bahan ajar demi memperkaya kecerdasan emosional peserta didik. Filipi 4:4 mengajarkan bahwa kebahagiaan dan sukacita akan muncul saat segala perhatian berpusat kepada Yesus Kristus dan karya penebusanNya. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, penulis menyatakan bahwa mengajar peserta didik dengan ayat Filipi 4:4 secara story-telling dapat memperkaya dan meningkatkan kecerdasan emosional.
