Abstract

This research is motivated by the discovery still rejang culture students who do not have a mature career planning, there are students who are confused rejang culture in choosing courses that will be selected to enter college. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of culture on career planning rejang students. This research is a qualitative descriptive study, using natural setting approach. Collecting data using the technique of participant observation, unstructured interviews, and technical documentation. Analysis of data using Spradley models that domain analysis, taxonomic analysis, componential analysis, and analysis of the cultural theme. Based on the results of data analysis, then it can be explained several cultural factors that can influence student planning, namely 1) the habit of increasing decisions to improve, 2) influencing peers, 3) replacing work, 4) seeking and keeping high to advance.

Abstract

In this globalization era, the role of the concept in schools is very important. Therefore, this individual counseling training activity was carried out. This individual counseling service training activity was aimed to increase the understanding of counselors at Muhammadiyah Integrated Junior High School Bengkulu in conducting individual counseling. The methods used in this training were lectures, questions and answers, discussions, and practices. Participants involved in this training were counselors at Muhammadiyah Integrated Junior High School Bengkulu. The results of the training for individual counseling services went well, they were shown from the results of the questionnaire before being given training for individual counseling services in the category of not understanding with a percentage of 28.70%. After the training in individual counseling services was given to the students, there was enhancement in understanding of counselors in conducting individual counseling. They were in understanding category, and they were able to do good counseling practices with an achievement percentage of 89.81%.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the finding of students who are still confused in choosing a major to enter higher education. The purpose of this study was to describe the effect of peer social support on student career planning. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study, using a natural setting approach, which places more emphasis on what the informants experience naturally. Determination of informants in this study using purposive sampling method. Collecting data using observation, interview, documentation, and tri-accounting techniques. Data analysis uses the Miles Hurberman method, in which Miles Huberman divides 3 stages in data analysis, namely data reduction, display data, and conclusion drawing / verification. The results showed that there was an effect of peer social support on student career planning, it was shown from emotional support, support, appreciation, information support.

Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil observasi masih ditemukan siswa kurang memikirkan kompetensi yang dimiliki teman sebaya. Siswa cenderung berpikir yang terpenting banyak teman, tanpa memikirkan apakah teman tersebut dapat membantu dirinya dalam mempersiapkan perencanaan karier yang sesuai dengan potensi dirinya. Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam penelitian yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh kualitas teman sebaya terhadap perencanaan karier siswa. Penelitian ini tergolong dalam jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, yang lebih mengutamakan pendekatan natural setting atau bersifat alamiah. Penarikan sampel penelitian ini menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu teknik observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan tri anggulasi. Analisis data penelitian menggunakan metode Miles Hurberman, dimana terdapat tiga tahapan  analisis data meliputi data reduction, display, dan conclusion drawing/verification. Analisis data dilakukan dari awal sampai pada akhir penelitian. Hasil penelitian ini mengemukakan kualitas teman sebaya memberikan pengaruh terhadap perencanaan karier siswa. Hal tersebut ditunjukkan dari pengakuan dan saling menjajaga, saling membantu dan memberikan petunjuk, dan pemecahan konflik.

Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian ini memberikan pelatihan kepada guru kelas agar lebih terampil dalam pembuatan program layanan bimbingan dan konseling di sekolah dasar. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan yang digunakan yaitu pelatihan dan pendampingan. Temuan hasil pengabdian yaitu 10 orang peserta yang mengikuti pelatihan pembuatan program bimbingan dan konseling di sekolah dasar terdapat 60 % dari peserta yang telah mengumpulkan rancangan program bimbingan dan konseling 40% hasil pengelolaan instrumen sosiometri. Proses pelatihan telah berjalan dengan baik sesuai dengan rencana yang telah di susun sebelumnya. Hal ini terlihat dari hasil yang diperoleh guru- kelas dalam merancang program bimbingan dan konseling. Jadi dapat disimpulkan pelatihan yang diberikan kepada guru-guru kelas berjalan dengan baik dengan adanya peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan dalam merancang program BK di SD.

Abstract

Adanya siswa di Lembak yang mengalami kebingungan dalam memilih jurusan di perguruan tinggi. Hal ini menjadi tujuan penelitian untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh budaya Lembak terhadap perencanaan karier siswa. Jenis penelitian merupakan deskriptif kualitatif natural setting. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi partisipatif, wawancara tak terstruktur, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan model Spradley analisis domain, taksonomi, komponensial, & tema kultural. Analisis domain menghasilkan data bahwa perencanaan karier siswa kurang optimal. Analisis taksonomi, menghasilkan data perincian peran orang tua, kedisiplinan, komunikasi, dan tanggung jawab. Analisis komponensial, orang tua hanya memberi kecukupan materi, sementara bimbingan terhadap anak kurang. Analisis tema kultural, perencanaan karier siswa kurang optimal karena kurangnya peran orang tua sebagai bagian dari akibat perilaku kultural. Komunikasi siswa yang kasar menyebabkan relasi pertemanan siswa di Lembak terbatas. Jadi, pada budaya Lembak 1) orang tua kurang berperan, 2) siswa kurang disiplin, 3) pergaulan terbatas, dan 4) siswa kurang bertanggung jawab mempengaruhi perencanaan karier siswa.

Abstract

The background of this research was motivated by there were students who have not the goal and a clear career plan. The purpose of this study were (1) describe students career planning is sighted socio-economic status, gender, and majors, (2) examined differences in students career planning of socio-economic status of high, medium, and low, (3) examined differences in students career planning of based on male and female, (4) examined differences in students career planning majoring in science and social studies, (5) examined differences in career planning of students based on interaction of between socio-economic status, gender, and majors. This research is a comparative descriptive study using 2 x 2 x 3 factorial design. The population of this research was a class XI students at SMAN 7 Padang with 258 students. Sample this research consistsof 160 people and selected by proportional random sampling technique. The instrument was using career planning scale reliability value of 0,751. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). The results showed that: (1) students career planning in terms of socio-economic status, gender, and majors at the high category, (2) there is no significant differences in career planning ofstudents in terms of socio-economic status of high, medium and low, (3) there is no significant differences in career planning of students in terms of male and female, (4) there is nosignificant difference in career planning of students in terms of majoring in science and social studies, (5) there is no difference in career planning of students in terms of interaction between socio-economic status, gender, and majors. The implication of this research as one of an input for designing aguidance and counseling program, especially in the career planning.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the concept and implementation of Guidance and Counseling (BK) room design in non-formal educational institutions. The background of this research is based on the importance of creating a safe, comfortable, and effective counseling process. In the context of non-formal education, many institutions still lack adequate BK facilities, particularly in terms of space and supporting resources. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method using a literature review approach to analyze various theories, research findings, and expert perspectives related to counseling room design, environmental psychology, and the principles of privacy and comfort in counseling services. The findings indicate that BK room design has a significant impact on the effectiveness of the counseling process, particularly in fostering a supportive emotional atmosphere, enhancing communication quality, and strengthening the counselor–counselee relationship. The main principles of BK room design include privacy, comfort, flexibility, and alignment with local cultural values. Furthermore, design adaptation in non-formal educational settings can be achieved through the use of modular and portable furniture, simple decorations, and lightweight technology. Consequently, BK room design is not only aesthetically appealing but also psychologically and therapeutically meaningful, which is essential for establishing effective and humane counseling relationships.

Abstract

Technological advances have an impact on student career planning, based on the results of observations and interviews, students are still found who have not prepared their career planning thoroughly, so far student career planning has been using a manual system. With the Student Career Planning Application (APKAS) after being tested for validity and feasibility by experts, it can be declared worthy of application. The purpose of this study is to describe student career planning through APKAS based on serawai culture. This study uses a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. The population of this study were grade XII students of SMA Negeri 9 Kota Bengkulu. Sampling used proportional random sampling, with the Slovin formula. The results of this study indicate that student career planning through APKAS based on serawai culture is in the high category. This is indicated by the results of the overall percentage of 160 students, 90 students with a percentage of 56.3% are in the high category, and based on the serawai cultural tribe with a sample of 50 students, there are 28 students with a percentage of 56.00% are in the high category. This means that student career planning through APKAS based on serawai culture supports student career planning.
