Abstract

ABSTRAKPerkembangan teknologi digital mendorong para guru dapat mengimplementasikannya untuk membantu pencapaian tujuan belajar mengajar, namun para guru masih sangat minim pengalaman dan pengetahuan dalam menggunakannya, seperti memanfaatkan Ms. Word untuk menggambar, menulis rumus matematis/ kimia/ fisika secara benar, cepat, dan praktis. Melihat permasalahan ini maka dilakukan kegiatan pelatihan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan para guru menulis rumus dan menggambar objek untuk pembelajaran sains menggunakan software dasar Ms.Word, dan mengetahui bagaimana espektasi para guru dalam mengembangkan keilmuan dan keterampilan digital. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dalam bentuk pelatihan kepada para guru mitra sekolah Asshohwah Al-Islamiyah yang berjumlah 20 orang. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada akhir September 2021 secara tatap muka di ruang Laboratorium komputer sekolah mitra. Kegiatan diawali dengan proses koordinasi, observasi, penyusunan jadwal, pengembangan modul, sosialisasi materi, pelaksanaan pelatihan, serta monitoring dan evaluasi yang dilakukan dengan pengamatan kinerja, penyebaran angket, dan wawancara. Kegiatan ini telah terlaksana dengan baik dan lancar, serta berhasil menunjukkan bahwa para guru menjadi tahu dan terampil menggunakan software Ms. Word untuk penulisan rumus dan menggambar materi sains-matematika secara benar dan praktis, selanjutnya 96 % dari seluruh peserta memberikan kesan mendukung keberlanjutan kegiatan pengabdian ini dengan materi terkait teknologi untuk pembelajaran karena menyatakan sangat bermanfaat dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan para guru dan siswa masa kini. Kata kunci: pelatihan berbasis IT; penulisan formula matematis; ms.word. ABSTRACTThe development of digital technology encourages teachers to implementation for achieve teaching and learning goals, but teachers still have very little experience and knowledge in using it, such as using Ms. Word to draw, write mathematical/chemical/physical formulas correctly, quickly, and practically. Seeing this problem, training activities were carried out to improve knowledge and skills of teachers in digital literacy learning science using Ms.Word, and find out how the expectations of teachers are in developing digital science and skills. This activity was carried out through training for teachers of Asshohwah Al-Islamiyah school, totaling 20 people. This activity will be held in September 2021 in the partner school's computer laboratory. The activity begins with a process of coordination, observation, scheduling, module development, material dissemination, training implementation, as well as monitoring and evaluation carried out by observing performance, distributing questionnaires, and interviews. This activity has been carried out well and smoothly, and has succes in showing that teachers know and are skilled at using Ms. Word software for writing formulas and drawing science-mathematical materials correctly and practically, then 96% of all participants gave the impression of supporting the sustainability of this activity with material related to technology for learning because they stated that it was very useful and in accordance with the needs of today's teachers and students. Keywords: IT-based training; writing mathematical formulas; ms.word.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the literacy and numeracy skills of students in ombok Island, West Nusa Tenggara based on gender, disability and social equality. The research approach uses a Mixed Method between qualitative and quantitative research with a survey method (cross-sectional). Data collection was carried out involving 2639 respondents from SD and MI students, school principals, teachers, parents, village representatives, and from TTIs. Survey data were obtained through questionnaires, document recording, and interviews. Furthermore, the data were analyzed qualitatively. This study's results show the lowest achievement is the numeration of female respondents in East Lombok Regency, 59.41. Achievements in the same aspect for Central Lombok Regency were higher, namely 62.97. For literacy skills, female respondents in Central Lombok also obtained a higher average (68.91) than female respondents in East Lombok Regency (66.93). The achievement of male respondents in Central Lombok Regency for literacy (69.08) looks lower than male respondents in East Lombok Regency (69.44). The same thing also happened to the average achievement in the numeracy aspect; Central Lombok Regency only got an average of 66.00, while East Lombok reached 66.44. In general, male literacy achievements were higher than women, while numeracy achievements were superior to female respondents from men's.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan membuat model pelatihan bahasa Inggris dengan pendekatan ketuntasan belajar bagi Pokdarwis (Kelompok Sadar Wisata) yang bertugas di objek wisata alam untuk meningkatkan mutu layanan kepariwisataan bagi wisata asing. Munculnya berbagai persoalan kemampuan dalam berbahasa Inggris bagi Pokdarwis menjadi perhatian yang harus segera mendapatkan solusi, seperti Desa Wisata tepatnya yang berada di Desa Kekeri Kabupaten Lombok Barat. Setelah kami melakukan penelitian menemukan bahwa tidak seorangpun diantara mereka yang mengayam pendidikan vokasional yang relevan, mereka juga tidak pernah mengikuti pelatihan bahasa Inggris secara rutin; mereka membutuhkan pelatihan bahasa Inggris untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara bahasa Inggris. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimental yang digunakan dalam uji coba model hipotetik. Model ini diharapkan akan dapat diuji cobakan secara lebih luas agar dapat mengetahui efektifitas dari sebuah model ini dengan menggunakan one-group pretest-posttest design. Dalam penelitian ini menemukan bahwa kondisi objektif keterampilan bagi pramuwisata untuk berbicara dan membaca kurang begitu baik, proses pembelajaran berlangsung secara otodidak. Selain itu latar belakang pendidikan bagi Pokdarwis lebih banyak tamatan lulusan sekolah dasar. Model pelatihan yang digunahakn yaitu mastery learning bagi pramuwisata atau pokdarwis untuk meningkatkan mutu layanan kepariwisataan bagi wisatawan asing dan domestik. Pelatihan berbahasa Inggris dengan pendekatan mastery learning belum terbukti memberikan solusi.

Abstract

Show and tell, role-play, and storytelling are all enjoyable speaking practice approaches for educators to utilize when teaching English. Therefore, the goal of this study is to assess the efficacy of the Show-and-Tell, Role-Play, and Storytelling methods for improving English speaking skills. The results of this study were obtained using JASP software, and 60 research findings met the criteria for the analysis, which shows a significant statistical impact from the three speaking approaches. In the Show-and-Tell method, the effect size value was 1.09 (High Effect), in the Role-Play method it was 1.13 (Very High Effect), and in the Storytelling method it was 1.34 (Very High Effect). However, Storytelling has a greater impact than the other methods. Furthermore, this study suggests that research published in 2022 has the largest effect, with 1,371 (Very High Effect). Meanwhile, analyzing the number of participants, it is clear that a study with more than 52 persons has the biggest impact, with an estimated value of 1.257 (Very High Effect). Among the methods, Story-Telling had a higher influence than the other methods in teaching English speaking skills. In conclusion, this meta-analysis provides strong evidence supporting the effectiveness of the Show-and-Tell, Role-Play, and Story-Telling methods in teaching English speaking skills. The findings underscore the need for educators to incorporate these methods into their pedagogical strategies to enhance students’ English speaking skills.
