Abstract

This study aims to develop image-based vocabulary material for autistic students at MTs Sunan Drajat Sugio Lamongan. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) research. The subjects of this study were autistic students at MTs Sunan Drajat Sugio Lamongan. Researchers used three instruments to obtain data, namely interviews, questionnaires and observation checklists. The results showed that autistic students needed vocabulary material that contained many exciting pictures, varied activities, and attractive colors. The product of this research is vocabulary material entitled Picture Vocabulary Mastery for Autistic Students, which is suitable for the needs of autistic students. In conclusion, autistic students like vocabulary material and these products can help autistic students learn English, especially vocabulary. Keywords: Autistic Students, Picture Media, Vocabulary

Abstract

Competence and character need to be implemented considering the lack of lecturers through innovative and creative learning who are aware that competence and character are two things that must be balanced in an integrated manner in the learning process. The research method is qualitative research. The implementation of Islamic Religious Education learning is carried out in three stages, namely planning, implementing and evaluating learning. And the character values developed in PAI learning in the Informatics Engineering study program through competency-based active, innovative and creative learning include logical thinking, independent, hard work, working together, critically, confident, creative, logical thinking, mutual respect, understanding advantages and disadvantages of each student.

Abstract

Permasalahan baru yang harus dihadapi oleh para peternak yaitu meningkatnya harga pakan ternak, sehingga membuat peternak harus mencari alternative lain untuk menekan biaya pakan, budidaya maggot solusi yang tepat untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut sebagai pengganti pakan ternak yang berprotein tinggi. Dalam Pengabdian masyarakat kali ini melaksanakan kegiatan pelatihan budidaya maggot sebagai alternative pakan ternak yang dilaksanakan di desa Baturono. Metode pelaksanaan dilakukan dengan cara ceramah, diskusi dan praktek. Hasil dari pengabdian ini adalah besarnya antusias masyarakat terhadap pelatihan ini dengan dibuktikan aktifnya masyarakat mengikuti kegiatan dari awal sampai akhir dan banyaknya peserta yang aktif dalam sesi diskusi dan tanya jawab. Sehingga bisa ditarik kesimpulan bahwa pelatihan budidaya maggot di desa baturono ini berlangsung sukses dan Meningkatnya pemahaman dan sikap peserta tentang pentingnya pengolahan limbah untuk budidaya Maggot sebagai alternative pakan ternak

Abstract

This present study is conducted in order to improve the students’ writing narrative text by  using Three  Dimension  Movie.  It  has  several  steps  the  first  is  Pre-writing  In  this  phase  the  teacher combined  with  writing  process  included:  planning  and  drafting.  The  second  is  Whilst-  writing activities, in this phase the teacher combined with writing process include: revising and editing and  the  third  is  Post-writing  activities,  post-writing  tasks  allow  for  reflection,  sharing,  or publishing of the final product. This study employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) as the research  design.  The  procedure  of  the  research  involved  four  stages:  planning  the  action, implementing, observing, and reflecting. Using three dimension movie is intended the students deep understood the story of movie.Keywords: writing narrative text, three demension movie, and classroom action research

Abstract

Pengalaman sain sebagai inkuiri, siswa belajar bagaimana menjadi ilmuwan. Siswa belajar lebih dari sekedar suatu body of consepts and fact, mereka belajar proses-proses yang terlibat dalam penemuan konsep-konsep dan fakta-fakta. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada SMA Negeri 18 Surabaya selama tiga (4) kali pertemuan di kelas X-5 semester genap. Pertemuan pertama sampai dengan pertemuan ke tiga digunakan sebagai pembelajaran sedangkan petemuan ke empat digunakan untuk pelaksanaan ulangan harian. Pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran menggunakan model discovery inquiry. Hasil rekapitulasi pengamatan terhadap keterlaksanaan pembelajaran yang berorientasi pada model pengajaran discovery inquiry menunjukkan bahwa keterlaksanaan perangkat berada dalam kategori baik, hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan pembelajaran yang diberikan sesuai dengan perangkat yang dibua. Berdasarkan hasil tes yang diberikan kepada siswa diperoleh bahwa ketuntasan belajar secara klasikal dapat tercapai dengan baik meskipun terdapat beberapa siswa yang belum mencapai ketuntasan belajar. Kata kunci : Perangkat pembelajaran, Inkuiri, Hasil Belajar

Abstract

This study focused on the influence of reading comprehension ability on translation ability, and we classify reading based on score into three categories they are low, moderate, and high. The data analysis used the statistical formula of SPSS; the data tests were normality and homogeneity tests. Hypothesis testing in this study was carried out using a one-way analysis of variance (One Way ANova). The finding of this study was there was a significant effect on reading level into translation. Therefore, it could be concluded that Ho was rejected, meaning that there was a significant difference between the students’ reading level into translation ability. Implication research for helping teacher for reading comprehension this effect translation.

Abstract

English learning is developing year by year through its method and every aspect in the learning process. The informatics study program has the main aim to develop the students’ intelligence, knowledge, personality, and skills in a workplace for having an independent life in their future. The relevant English learning materials for particular study programs are needed to facilitate the students to achieve good English proficiency. This research is aimed at developing English learning materials for the first semester of Informatics Study Program. The researcher applied Research and Development as the research method. In the research method the researcher implemented five of Borg and Gall’s Research and Development (R&D) stages. Then, those five stages were combined with Kemp’s theory of instructional model to develop and design the English materials, the steps included were: collecting the students’ need, planning, developing the materials, writing the final draft, and trying out the materials. Based on the research finding, the students learn English Learning material includes seven units and in every unit cover three Basic English competence reading, speaking and writing, and also consists of several sections, namely introduction, main lesson and reinforcement.

Abstract

This research aim is to analyze whether metacognitive strategy instruction CALLA affects students’ reading comprehension and reading awareness. This research used a quasi-experimental study in forms of pretest, treatment and post-test. Results showed that the group of experimental students had score significantly higher than the control group students on reading comprehension post-test and also showed significantly higher improvement in metacognitive reading strategy awareness and reading comprehension than control group students. The study recommends CALLA metacognitive strategy instruction to be an effective option for teaching reading comprehension skills at the senior high school level and in the contexts, which share similar characteristics.

Abstract

The study aims to describe the use of folklore in the classroom to improve students’ reading comprehension and to ascertain the reactions of the students to this approach. 22 students in 9th Grade B at SMPN 1 Sugio are the subjects of the study, which employs the classroom action research methodology. Participation of the students to improve their reading comprehension is the theme of all the key phrases. The teacher needs to inspire the students more, though. Utilizing interviews, observations, and questionnaires, data is gathered. 14.28.% of students met the minimal mastery level criterion, according to their preliminary test results (KKM). The initial cycle was deemed ineffective. Students who attained the bare minimum mastery in The first cycle was deemed a failure. The percentage of students who met the minimal mastery level criterion (KKM) was only 53.57% or 15 students. The second cycle is regarded as a success. It was because 26 students, or 92.85% of the test participants, met the minimal mastery level criterion (KKM). The percentage of students who got up increased with each cycle, and the findings suggested that reading folklore could improve students' reading comprehension. Reading folklore in the classroom raises students' enthusiasm, enjoyment, and participation. Reading the narrative text through folklore can improve students' reading comprehension.
