Abstract

Hospitals in the health sector as a means of organizing health services is one source of toxic waste processing to get a good start of the reduction, container, collection, temporary storage, transport and processing at the source. The purpose of this study is to describe the steps in auditing environmental management system and examples of its application. In this research, descriptive research method of evaluation and analysis of the data processed by qualitative techniques to describe management efforts toxic waste Hospital. The results showed introduce environmental management system audits and provide advice on steps that need to be done in auditing environmental management systems.KEYWORDS:Environmental Management System, Audit EMS, Toxic Waste.

Abstract

The adoption of web servers in the world of office lately became quite important, as a result of the development of the desktop-based applications that have begun to shift toward Web-Based Applications. In reality, application of a web server in a company is not enough with just one web server, for the effectiveness of the work of the web server itself. Therefore, in this study the author tries to apply failover techniques on high availability clustering web server. Based on research methods that have been done writers begin with the analysis of needs, design, testing to implementation and data collection by way of observation, interview, and literature study, the application of failover techniques on high availability web server clustering is an attempt to minimize access failures that may occur anytime considering the state of the device that should standby at any time, where later after this technique is applied, then when the main server fails access to the application within the web server, the access will automatically be redirected to the second server. Abstract

Mangosteen (Garcinia mangostana L.) is a tropical fruit that has become a sought-after commodity by enthusiasts from various countries, including Indonesia. The active components found in mangosteen peel primarily consist of active xanthone compounds, such as mangostenol, mangostin, mangostino A, mangostino B, tvophylin B, trapezifolixanthone, alpha mangostin, beta mangostin, garcinon B, mangostano, as well as flavonoids epicatechin and gartanin. These compounds exhibit a range of beneficial properties, including anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antifungal, antihistamine, antidiabetic, anticancer, and more. Consequently, there is significant potential in developing mangosteen peel extract as a valuable ingredient in herbal medicine. However, there is currently no available data on the effects of exposure to mangosteen peel decoction on fish animal models. Therefore, it is essential to investigate the impact of mangosteen peel decoction on wader pari fish (Rasbora lateristriata) embryos. In this study, wader pari embryos were subjected to various concentrations of mangosteen peel decoction (0.5, 1, 5, and 25 µg/mL). The effects on egg hatchability, survival rate (SR), heart rate frequency, and heart morphology of the larvae were meticulously examined using a Leica microscope. The data obtained were subjected to statistical analysis using one-way ANOVA. The findings demonstrated that exposure to mangosteen peel decoction resulted in lower hatching rates and embryonic survival, alongside an increased heart rate frequency. Additionally, the exposed embryos displayed cardiac edema and cardiac bending, particularly at the concentration of 25 µg/mL. In conclusion, the exposure of wader pari fish embryos to mangosteen peel decoction at the concentrations of 25 µg/mL and higher significantly affected the hatching rate, survival rate, and heart rate of R. lateristriata fish larvae.

Abstract

Excessive consumption of paracetamol may lead to hepatic necrosis, nephrotoxicity, extra-hepatic lesions, and even fatality in both humans and animals. The objective of this study was to examine the histological changes in the hepatocytes of yellow rasbora (Rasbora lateristriata) exposed to paracetamol. The fish were subjected to varying concentrations of paracetamol over a period of four days. Group I served as the control group without any paracetamol exposure. Groups II, III, and IV were exposed to 2, 3, and 4 mg/L of paracetamol, respectively. A total of six individuals were allocated to each of the four experimental groups. The histological analysis of the hepatic tissue following paracetamol exposure at concentrations of 2, 3, and 4 mg/L revealed hepatic damage characterized by picnosis, necrosis, and vacuolization. In summary, higher concentrations of paracetamol were associated with an increase in the severity of histopathological changes in the hepatic tissues of yellow rasbora.

Abstract

Catfish is a highly favored source of protein in Indonesia. Catfish farming can be carried out using various types of feed and methods. This research aims to determine the effect of two types of fish feed with high (24%) and low (4%) protein content on several aspects of catfish cultivated using the pond/bucket culture method. The methods include catfish maintenance, physicochemical measurement, morphometric measurements, survival rate measurements, proximate testing, and histological preparations of catfish intestines and stomach. The results show that the TDS and pH values in the high-protein feed are higher than in the low-protein feed, while the temperature fluctuates. At the end of the observation, there is a significant difference in the morphometry of catfish fed with high-protein feed, where the body weight, head width, and body length are higher. The difference in body weight of catfish fed with high-protein feed is significantly higher (119.58±16.72 g) compared to those fed with low-protein feed (52.20±4.80 g). The average number of surviving catfish fed with high-protein feed is lower (27.60±8.23 fish) compared to the other group (44.00±2.55 fish). Proximate testing indicates that catfish meat with high-protein feed also has higher protein, fat, and carbohydrate content. Histological analysis shows that catfish with high-protein feed have longer villi and higher number of goblet cells, while the length of the gastric pits is lower. This research demonstrates that high-protein feed has an impact on fish quality, while ensuring water quality to reduce catfish mortality rates in catfish pond culture.

Abstract

Prevalensi stunting menurut WHO pada tahun 2022 adalah 22,2% atau sekitar 149,2 juta anak di dunia balita mengalami stunting, sebuah kondisi malnutrisi kronis yang berpotensi menghambat pertumbuhan fisik dan perkembangan kognitif anak. Permasalahan stunting yang tinggi juga menjadi perhatian utama pemerintah Indonesia dan terumuskan dalam Rencana Pembangunan Jangka Menengah Nasional (RPJMN) 2020-2024, yang menargetkan penurunan angka stunting hingga 14% pada tahun 2024. Tujuan penyuluhan ini meningkatkan pengetahuan dan sikap ibu dalam pemberian makanan tambahan lokal yang bergizi untuk mencegah stunting di Desa Pantai Harapan Jaya Kabupaten Bekasi. Metode pelaksanaan yang digunakan yaitu metode ceramah untuk materi PMT lokal dan pola pengasuhan, kemudian metode demonstrasi untuk praktik pembuatan PMT lokal. Desain penelitian menggunakan desain Cross-Sectional (potong lintang). Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis univariat untuk mengetahui gambaran dari karakteristik masing masing variabel dan analisis bivariat untuk mengetahui hubungan antara dua variabel yang di teliti. Instrumen yang digunakan menggunakan kuesioner sebelum dan sesudah materi dengan teknik pengisian mandiri untuk melihat tingkat pengetahuan dan sikap ibu. Sasaran penyuluhan terdiri dari sasaran primer, sasaran sekunder dan sasaran tersier. Berdasarkan hasil analisis univariat diperoleh hasil peningkatan pengetahuan ibu balita mengenai pemberian makanan tambahan pre-test dan post-test mengalami peningkatan dari 43,2% menjadi 68,2%. Dan terjadi peningkatan sikap ibu balita dalam pemberian makanan tambahan pre-test dan post-test mengalami peningkatan dari 52,3% menjadi 54,5%. Berdasarkan hasil bivariat menunjukkan hasil uji paired sample t-test bahwa rata-rata total skor pre-test pengetahuan sebesar 1.43 sedangkan rata-rata total skor post-test sebesar 1.32. Hasil Uji Paired Sample T-Test menyatakan bahwa P-value 0,133 > 0,05, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan rata-rata antara hasil pengetahuan pre-test dengan post-test yang artinya tidak ada pengaruh penyuluhan PMT lokal menggunakan metode ceramah dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan. Dan hasil uji wilcoxon signed-rank bahwa menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan rata-rata antara hasil sikap untuk sebelum dan setelah materi (Pvalue 0.796). Oleh karena itu disarankan agar ibu balita rutin untuk mengikuti kegiatan posyandu agar menambah pemahaman tentang pemberian makanan tambahan (PMT) lokal bagi balita. Dan diharapkan agar pihak Puskesmas meningkatkan kegiatan penyuluhan tentang pemberian makanan tambahan (PMT) balita dan cara pembuatan makanan tambahan untuk balita. Abstract

Penerapan web server dalam dunia perkantoran belakangan ini menjadi hal yang cukup penting, sebagai akibat adanya perkembangan aplikasi-aplikasi pendukung konvensional (Desktop-Based Application) yang sudah mulai bergeser menuju ke aplikasi berbasis web (Web-Based Applications). Dalam kenyataannya, penerapan web server di suatu perusahaan tidak cukup dengan hanya satu web server, untuk efektifitas kerja dari web server itu sendiri. Oleh karena itu, pada penelitian kali ini penulis mencoba untuk menerapkan teknik failover pada high availability clustering web server. Berdasarkan metode penelitian yang telah penulis lakukan dimulai dengan analisa kebutuhan, desain, testing hingga implementasi dan pengumpulan data dengan cara observasi, wawancara, dan studi pustaka, maka penerapan teknik failover pada high availability web server clustering adalah sebagai upaya untuk meminimalisir kegagalan akses yang mungkin terjadi kapan saja mengingat keadaan perangkat yang harus standby setiap saat, dimana nantinya setelah teknik ini diterapkan, maka saat server utama mengalami kegagalan akses pada aplikasi di dalam web server, akses tersebut secara otomatis akan di alihkan ke server ke-dua.

Abstract

Intrauterine insemination (IUI) is an artificial insemination method that employs specialized devices to introduce spermatozoa into the uterus. IUI is utilized to address challenges associated with poor reproductive outcomes and to optimize the productivity of livestock. Consequently, its application and utilization has gained global attention and is being continuously developed. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze the global literature on intrauterine insemination research over the preceding decade. Documents related to intrauterine insemination research were presented in the results of a bibliometric study indexed in the Scopus database for the period 2012–2022. On a global scale, the total number of identified documents amounted to 2,721, with an average annual production of 272 documents. Ten countries worldwide were identified as leading contributors to research publications on intrauterine insemination, including the United States with the most document production (n=643), followed by Turkey (n=175), India (n=173), China (n=161), United Kingdom (n=159), Iran (n=153), Netherlands (n=152), Canada (n=140), France (n=131), and Italy (n=129). This study of novelty comprehensive bibliometric analysis to map a decade of global research trends in intrauterine insemination across both human and animal applications. Unlike previous narrative reviews that focused on clinical or technical aspects, this research highlights global collaboration networks, publication dynamics, and emerging thematic hotspots within the IUI domain. Publications related to intrauterine insemination showed an upward trajectory from 2012 until 2021, followed by a decline in 2022. The findings from this analysis provide valuable guidance for future research in the field of intrauterine insemination.

Abstract

Tingkat partisipasi masyarakat Kabupaten Halmahera Tengah dalam Program BPJS Kesehatan Non PBI masih rendah, jauh dari target Universal Health Coverage (UHC). Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis faktor predisposisi, enabling, dan reinforcing yang memengaruhi keikutsertaan masyarakat. Penelitian menggunakan desain potong lintang (cross-sectional) dengan sampel 248 responden, dipilih melalui cluster sampling. Data dikumpulkan dengan kuesioner terstruktur dan dianalisis menggunakan uji Chi-square serta regresi logistik multivariat. Hasil menunjukkan variabel pengetahuan (p=0,017), sikap (p=0,002), dukungan petugas kesehatan (p=0,002), dan dukungan keluarga (p=0,000) berhubungan signifikan dengan keikutsertaan. Faktor dominan adalah sikap (OR=3,637) dan dukungan keluarga (OR=5,197). Simpulan: penguatan sikap positif dan dukungan keluarga menjadi kunci peningkatan kepesertaan Non PBI. Diperlukan intervensi berupa edukasi, kampanye kesehatan, serta pelibatan keluarga dalam sosialisasi BPJS Kesehatan.

Abstract

Mangosteen peel simplicia (Garcinia mangostana L.) contains potential ingredients used in medicine. A toxicity test of mangosteen peel simplicia is needed before it is used. Wader pari (Rasbora lateristriata) is a potential animal model for toxicity testing. Thus, this study aims to determine the effect of mangosteen peel extract at various concentrations on the behavior and bone structure of R. lateristriata. In this research, fish behavior was observed at 48 hpf (hours post-fertilization) and 30 dpf (days post-fertilization). Bone structure observed at 96 hpf, 7 dpf, 14 dpf, 21 dpf, 28 dpf, 35 dpf, and 42 dpf using the Alizarin Red ‒ Alcian Blue method. Observation data on behavior and bone structure were analyzed descriptively, while the number of vertebrae was analyzed quantitatively using One-Way ANOVA (P < 0.05). The results showed that the ossification of cranium and caudal complex skeleton components in the 1 and 5 μg/mL treatments was significantly behind that of the control and 0.5 μg/mL treatments. Furthermore, 5 μg/mL treatment caused some behavioral and swimming pattern abnormalities in 48 hpf larvae. In conclusion, exposure to 1 and 5 μg/mL mangosteen peel simplicia resulted in skeletal growth inhibition in R. lateristriata. Exposure to 5 μg/mL mangosteen peel simplicia caused abnormalities in the behavior and swimming pattern of 48 hpf larvae.
