Abstract

ABSTRACT Muaro Peti is one of Minangkabau repertoire songs originally from Muaro Peti Village, Kapur IX Sub-district, Limapuluh Kota District, West Sumatera. Cultural geographically, this village is the part of darek area located in indigenous territorial of Luhak Nan Tigo, Minangkabau.This song expresses particular characteristics of melody which differs from general darek songs, especially the movement of melodic lines which tends to decrease; while dominantly, the other darek songs tend to have ascending melodic lines. If it’s viewed textually melodic, the uniqueness of this song is also visible from its garinyiak (thriller), layuak (glissando), and non-chordal tone (appoggiatura) which appears as variation in song’s melody. In western music, the concept of ornamental tone or melody variation is the part of ornamentation. Furthermore, in term of interval, Muaro Peti song has genuine pentatonic scale, while the other darek songs generally have pentatonic scale which is close to diatonic scale. The differences in melody and interval eventually result on every singer’s particular singing style or music expression in singing Muaro Peti.The major approach in this research entitled “Characteristics and Expressions of Muaro Peti Song from Various Interpretations of the Singers” was done by using the analysis of laboratory work through various audio recordings of Muaro Peti song as the primary data. In this research, the qualitative field research was used as secondary data because this research did not investigate performance expression, but it’s more focused on music expression interpreted by the singers in singing Muaro Peti song

Abstract

Purwacaraka Music Studio (PCMS) Padang merupakan lembaga musik nonformal yang menawarkan berbagai macam jenis les musik, salah satunya violin. Strategi pembelajaran di PCMS Padang ialah berupa les privat dengan metode satu guru satu siswa. Namun yang menjadi pembeda les di Purwacaraka dengan tempat les musik lainnya ialah adanya kegiatan ensamble untuk masing-masing instrument. Kegiatan pembelajaran secara ensamble ini merupakan kegiatan ekstra sebagai peningkatan skill siswa-siswi dalam bermain bersama. Penelitian ini memaparkan bagaimana strategi pembelajaran ensambel violin di PCMS Padang, baik dari segi metode pembelajaran dan materi yang dipelajari. Adapun strategi pembelajaran dianalisis dan dikemukakan berdasarkan metode jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data penelitian dilakukan melalui tiga tahapan yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa strategi pembelajaran ensambel violin di PCMS Padang menggunakan empat metode pembelajaran yaitu metode ceramah, metode demonstrasi, metode drill, dan evaluasi pembelajaran.Kata Kunci: Strategi Pembelajaran; Ensamble Violin; PCMS PadangABSTRACTPurwacaraka Music Studio (PCMS) of Padang was a non-formal music institution that had branches in almost all of Indonesia, one of them was in the city of which offered various types of music lessons, one of them was the violin. The learning strategy at PCMS Padang was in the form of private lessons with the one teacher, one student method. However, what distinguishes at Purwacaraka lessons different from other music lessons was the ensemble activity for each instrument. This ensemble learning activity was an extra activity as an increase in students' skills in playing together. This study described how the violin ensemble learning strategy at PCMS Padang, both in terms of learning methods and the material studied. The learning strategies were analyzed and put forward based on the type of qualitative descriptive research method. Research data collection was carried out through three stages, observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study explained that the violin ensemble learning strategy at PCMS Padang used four learning methods; the lecture method, demonstration method, drill method, and learning evaluation.Keywords: Learning Strategy; Violin Ensemble; PCMS Padang

Abstract

The younger generation is the cornerstone of the nation's successor who will lead the direction in which the achievement of the nation's goals will be directed. As a country full of diversity of customs, ethnicities, nations and beliefs, literacy of tolerance really needs to be instilled so that the younger generation can respect one another. The Institute of Indonesia Art Padang Panjang team took the initiative to collaborate in building a tolerant young generation's mental attitude by providing training activities to them, especially in West Sumatera. On this occasion, the team conducted this training activity at one of the Tahfizh Qur'an Padang Panjang by means of material and discussion. This activity was carried out for three meetings with sub-themes of activities; 1) Religious Tolerance According to Islamic Shari'a 2) Equality in religion and culture and 3) religious and cultural communication. The background of this activity is the importance of building a religious and cultured mentality in accordance with the Minangkabau aforism “Adat Basandi Sarak, Sarak Basandi Kitabullah”. The method of this training activity is carried out by means of interactive material training and discussion. The results of this activity indicate that Tahfizh Quran youth are interested in the activities carried out and are active in discussions. Teenagers understand the concept of tolerance and indirectly apply this awareness in their daily lives. Evaluation is carried out by responding to various case phenomena presented by the speaker.

Abstract

Bahasa Jepang banyak dipelajari  dengan tujuan yang beragam. Pembelajaran dapat bertujuan untuk  pekerjaan di bidang pariwisata, seperti travel agent, pegawai hotel, pegawai restoran, dan pemandu wisata. Pada dasarnya pembelajaran bahasa bertujuan mengembangkan empat keterampilan, yaitu keterampilan berbicara, keterampilan menyimak, keterampilan menulis, dan  keterampilan membaca. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode literasi yang menganalisis kebutuhan dalam pembelajaran bahasa Jepang untuk beginner. Pada pembelajaran Bahasa Jepang untuk bidang pariwisata, ditemukan hal-hal yang perlu dipelajari mendalam pada level beginner. Level beginner merupakan level awal dimana level ini sangat mempengaruhi tingkat kemahiran untuk naik ke level selanjutnya. ditemukan hal-hal yang perlu dipelajari mendalam pada level beginner, yaitu Aisatsu (salam), Jiko Shoukai (Perkenalan diri),  Menyebutkan Profesi, Kata tunjuk KOSOADO, Bango (Angka) dan harga, Jikan (Hari/Tanggal/ Waktu), Perubahan kata kerja, Penggunaan kalimat positif dan negatif. Materi tersebut dibatasi berdasarkan analisis ruang lingkup komunikasi yang dibutuhkan dalam bidang pariwisata.

Abstract

Photography is a method of producing images using light as the main composition. Photography is currently not only a medium for recording images for documentation, but is also developing as a medium for promoting goods, services and tourist destinations. Its use as a promotional media for tourist destinations is currently considered more efficient, because through attractive photos it can attract tourists to visit these tourist destinations, one of which is the Silokek tourist village. Silokek Tourism Village is one of the tourist villages that has been registered in the Indonesian Tourism Village Award event. The charm of tourism in the Silokek Tourism Village is packed with documentation through travel photography so that people are more familiar with the beauty of the Silokek tourist village.

Abstract

Arranging popular music has several tips in its realization process, including the application of substitution chord, inversion chord and suspension tone. The are similarities in several techniques used in arranging if we dissect them based on the process of creating a new work, only in arranging, the arranger immediately focuses his imagination on the basic elements of music that already exist for further modification. Meanwhile, the difference in creating new work is actualize first some of the basic elements of the music wich are then developed. Scary Pocket is a music group that is intense in arranging music by applying methods of modifying the structure and harmony of songs so that it has an impact on the creation of their version of a new musical style. Through this simple article, it is hope that it can become a reference for art activist and arranger in determining the tips that will be used in arranging the piece of music.Keywords: substitution chord, inversion chord, easy on me, scary pocket

Abstract

ABSTRAKSilek Tuo merupakan salah satu seni bela diri Minangkabau yang tumbuh dan berkembang di nagari Sungai Pua, Kabupaten Agam, Provinsi Sumatera Barat. Di Nagari Sungai Pua, Silek Tuo  masih dihadirkan sebagai salah satu seni tradisi daerah yang dilestarikan. Meski demikian,  peminat akan seni bela diri mulai berkurang dari waktu ke waktu. Hal ini juga dipengaruhi oleh tidak adanya wadah serta media yang bisa meningkatkan gairah generasi millennial untuk mengembangkan silek tuo. Melalui dokumentasi dokumenter, harapannya seni bela diri silek tuo kembali dapat meningkatkan eksistensinya sebagai seni tradisi yang harus dijaga dan dilestarikan.Tujuan penelitian ini ialah sebagai upaya pelestarian dalam menjaga eksistensi  seni bela diri silek tuo dalam bentuk pendokumentasian seni bela diri silek tuo di Nagari Sungai Pua. Penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk mengenalkan, mengembangkan seni bela diri silek tuo kepada kaum milenial dengan mendokumentasikan seni silek tuo dalam fotograi dokumenter. Melalui unsur-unsur metode EDFAT (Entire, Detail, Frame, Angle, Time), objek silek tuo dinarasikan dengan gaya bertutur naratif sehingga foto dokumenter ini dapat menyampaikan informasi, dan meyakinkan pemandang foto tentang eksistensi silek tuo.ABSTRACTSilek Tuo is a Minangkabau martial art that grows and develops in the Sungai Pua village, Agam Regency, West Sumatra Province. In Nagari Sungai Pua, Silek Tuo is still presented as one of the local traditional arts that is preserved. However, the interest in martial arts began to decrease from time to time. This is also influenced by the absence of forums and media that can increase the enthusiasm of the millennial generation to develop silek tuo. Through documentary documentation, it is hoped that the martial art of silek tuo can again increase its existence as a traditional art that must be preserved and preserved. The purpose of this study is as a preservation effort in maintaining the existence of the martial art of silek tuo in the form of documenting the martial art of silek tuo in Nagari Sungai Pua. This research also aims to introduce and develop the martial art of silek tuo to millennials by documenting the art of silek tuo in documentary photography. Through the elements of the EDFAT (Entire, Detail, Frame, Angle, Time) method, the silek tuo object is narrated in a narrative style so that this documentary photo can convey information, and convince photo viewers about the existence of silek tuo.

Abstract

Abstrak Desa Wisata Kubu Gadang merupakan lokasi wisata yang dibentuk dan dikelola oleh masyarakat lokal dengan memanfaatkan potensi alam, lingkungan dan kegiatan keseharian di desa tersebut sebagai bagian dari atraksi wisata. Keberadaan desa wisata ini adalah suatu bentuk integrasi antara atraksi, akomodasi, fasilitas pendukung yang disajikan dalam suatu struktur kehidupan masyarakat setempat. Atraksi wisata yang dihadirkan berupa kegiatan keseharian masyarakat yang dikemas menjadi sebuah paket wisata edukasi seperti bagaimana menanam padi, memandikan kerbau,  menangkap ikan di sawah. Adapun paket wisata yang berupa edukasi budaya yakni menikmati pertunjukan dan belajar gerakan seni bela diri silek lanyah. Silek lanyah ialah sebuah seni bela diri Minangkabau berupa gerakan silat yang dilaksanakan di dalam lanyah (lumpur).Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk melihat dan menganalisis pertunjukan silek lanyah sebagai bagian dari seni budaya tradisi yang harus lestarikan, dan bagaimana  pengelolaan pertunjukan silek lanyah sebagai sebuah atraksi wisata dan menjadi paket wisata edukasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah metode kualitatif, yakni menghimpun data dan melaporkan data kedalam deskripsi ilmiah. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa dengan adanya pertunjukan silek lanyah sebagai sajian paket wisata di Desa Wisata Kubu Gadang, ternyata dapat menarik keingintahuan dan minat wisatawan yang datang untuk mengetahui tentang seni tradisi silek lanyah. Hal ini tentunya dapat menjadi sarana dalam mengenalkan, mempertahankan, melestarikan, silek lanyah baik sebagai sebuah seni yang harus diwariskan kepada generasi penerus maupun sebagai seni yang dapat dinikmati hingga dijadikan pengalaman atraksi oleh wisatawan yang datang menyaksikan dan terjun langsung menikmati paket wisata silek lanyah. Kubu Gadang Tourism Village is a tourist location formed and managed by the local community, by utilizing the potential of nature, the environment and daily activities in the village as part of tourist attractions. The existence of this tourist village is a form of integration between attractions, accommodations, and supporting facilities presented in a structure of local community life. In the Kubu Gadang Tourism Village, the tourist attractions presented are in the form of the daily activities of the community which are packaged into an educational tour package, such as how to plant rice, bathe buffalo, and catch fish in rice fields. The tour package is in the form of cultural education, namely enjoying performances and learning the movements of the silek lanyah martial arts. Silek lanyah is a Minangkabau martial art, in the form of silat movements carried out in lanyah (mud). The purpose of this research is to see and analyze silek lanyah performances as part of traditional cultural arts that must be preserved, and how to manage silek lanyah performances as tourist attractions and become educational tour packages. The research method used in this study is qualitative, namely collecting data and reporting data into scientific descriptions. The results showed that the silek lanyah performance as a tour package offered at the Kubu Gadang Tourism Village was able to attract the curiosity and interest of tourists who came to find out about the silek lanyah traditional art. This of course can be a means of introducing, maintaining, and preserving, silek lanyah both as an art that must be passed on to the next generation as well as an art that can be enjoyed until it becomes an attraction experience for tourists who come to witness and dive right in to enjoy silek lanyah tour packages.

Abstract

Pelatihan pembuatan tas wanita dari limbah kayu di SMA 3 Payakumbuh, Sumatera Barat, merupakan salah satu upaya pemberdayaan siswa melalui pengembangan keterampilan kerajinan tangan berbasis lingkungan dengan memanfaatkan bahan dari limbah kayu yang merupakan residu dari kegiatan industri yang ada di lingkungan sekitar. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk menumbuhkan kesadaran akan pentingnya daur ulang limbah sebagai salah satu upaya yang bisa dilakukan oleh siswa/i dalam melestarikan lingkungan dan menanamkan nilai kreativitas serta membangun mentalitas kewirausahaan pada siswa/i sejak dini. Metode pelatihan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan metode ceramah dengan memberikan pemahaman dan pengetahuan terhadap siswa/i tentang keterampilan kerajinan kayu, pemanfaatan limbah sehingga bernilai jual dengan menekankan pada kreativitas dan inovasi, demonstrasi yang dilakukan dengan memperagakan secara langsung cara membuat tas dari limbah kayu sehingga siswa/i dapat melakukan proses peniruan terhadap objek yang akan dibuat, dan praktik langsung yaitu memberikan kesempatan bagi siswa/i untuk berkreativitas dan inovasi produk pembuatan tas dari limbah kayu. Hasil dari pelatihan ini adalah siswa/i mampu mengolah limbah kayu menjadi tas wanita yang bernilai guna dan memiliki nilai jual. Kegiatan ini juga diharapkan dapat mendorong siswa untuk mengembangkan usaha kreatif berbasis kerajinan kayu, yang berkontribusi pada ekonomi lokal dan pelestarian lingkungan.

Abstract

The sound composition of the Indonesian Institute of the Arts Padang Panjang with the Studio One 5 Application is a process of creating musical works using digital technology. This musical composition originates from the activities of the academic community that took place in the environment of the Indonesian Institute of the Arts Padang Panjang. The Studio One 5 application is used as a tool to process sounds taken from art education activities, then processed in a demicrophone manner to become a new sound composition. This composition was created with the aim of describing the atmosphere in the environment of the Indonesian Institute of the Arts Padang Panjang which is presented through audio sound. The method of creating the sound composition of the Indonesian Institute of the Arts Padang Panjang involves modern music production techniques. The stages of creation are by recording audio samples which are then processed through the Studio One 5 application, and given additions such as the use of sound effects, mixing, and digital mastering. After the entire music work is complete, the musical composition that originates from the sounds in the environment of the Indonesian Institute of the Arts Padang Panjang then becomes a new musical composition entitled sound design isi padangpanjang.
