Abstract

The art of songket woven handicraft Pandai Sikek is a cultural product of collective creation and traditional heritage Pandai Sikek. Songket first created to meet human needs for traditional ceremonies such as wedding ceremony of Minangkabau. The symbolic meanings in the art of songket are constantly evolving in accordance with the change of time. The art of songket weave Pandai Sikek is one of the traditional handicrafts, which is used for wedding ceremony. In traditional wedding, the groom wears songket for ‘saluak’, ‘sisampiang’, and ‘cawek’, all of them accessories for the traditional costume, while the bride wears gloves, scarves, and tingkuluak, accessories for female constume. The use of songket is customary responsibility and each of the songket patterns contains symbolic meanings. Various decorative patterns of Minangkabau songket are inspired from the concept of "alam takambang jadi guru" (learning from nature). The beauty of songket can be seen visually from the decorative patterns as well as the functions, styles, and structures. Songket handicrafts are able to survive and compete with factory-made textile products. The succes can not ignore the socio-cultural factors that the existence of this woven fabric remained in the middle of the supporting community.Key words: songket, woven handicraft, traditional wedding ceremony

Abstract

The development of technology at this time continues to grow rapidly. This also has an impact on the development of the business world including trade. Tight business competition encourages every company to be more careful in determining the policies taken, so that fast, accurate and relevant information is needed to facilitate human work and minimize errors in every transaction activity. One of the problems that often arises is the incompatibility of financial statements with transactions that occur. To prevent errors in the processing of reports required an information system that has been computerized to facilitate the creation of reports supported by a basic method of accounting. With the computer can facilitate employees in managing the Financial Statement Information System. With this financial reporting system, the data will be stored in a database, so that the data is more structured and neatly arranged. With the Financial Reporting System can facilitate store employees in knowing the profit or loss.

Abstract

The research entitled "Design Motifs and Craft Products from Wood Waste in Souvenir Products" aims to utilize wood waste in the form of sawdust obtained during the process of carving and making products. The method used is experimental, the research procedure carried out is by means of exploration and design. Exploration aims to find ideas or concepts through data mining and literature studies, observations and interviews. The data that has been collected is processed and analyzed qualitatively then presented verbally, later becoming the basis for conducting design experiments. Design is the embodiment of ideas and concepts resulting from exploration into souvenir product designs. In studying product development and techniques, we use design strategy studies consisting of design strategies and innovation strategies proposed by Agus Sachari, and other theories consisting of the appeal of beauty. product, materials used, tools used, manufacturing techniques and product authenticity. Keywords: Wood waste, products, crafts.

Abstract

Program pemberdayaan masyarakat sekitar objek wisata Tanjung Mutiara Nagari Batu Taba, Kabupaten Tanah Datar Sumatera Barat berupa pelatihan ecoprint pada media tas kain dalam upaya mendukung ekonomi kreatif dengan memanfaatkan sumber daya alam yang ada disekitar masyarakat. Peserta merupakan masyarakat  yang ada di Nagari Batu Taba khususnya sekitar objek wisata Tanjung Mutiara. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberi pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat tentang nilai economi berupa kain ecoprint dimana hasilnya nanti dapat dijual dan bernilai seni tinggi. Selain itu dengan adanya pelatihan ini menjadi wadah pembelajaran akan ketersediaan sumber daya alam yang dapat dimanfaatkan dan disisi lain berpelungan bisnis bagi masyarakat Nagari Batu Taba tersebut. Pelatihan ini menagajarkan tentang  ecoprint dengan menggunakan teknik pounding. Hasil dari kegiatan pelatihan ini diharapkan agar peserta mampu mengembangkan produk ecoprint dengan memanfaatkan sumber daya alam dan kebudayaan yang ada tersebut.

Abstract

Sulaman Minangkabau mempunyai ciri dan watak sendiri, yang membedakannya dengan sulaman atau kerajinan dari daerah lainnya di Indonesia. Salah satu ciri khas yang unik pada sulaman Minangkabau adalah ragam hias yang bertemakan flora yang terdapat dalam seni kerajinan sulam daerah Koto Gadang. Pembuatan motif tradisional Minangkabau dilakukan dengan cara memberi kesempatan bagi para perajin untuk mengaplikasikan atau menerapkan motif Minangkabau yang telah diberikan sesuai dengan bentuk produk sulaman yang mereka hasilkan terutama bentuk produk pakai. Desain motif diaplikasikan untuk tas mukena dan sajadah. Peserta pelatihan terdiri dari anak-anak remaja laki- laki dan perempuan serta ibu-ibu rumah tangga yang juga merupakan perajin sulam yang ada di Koto Gadang. Berdasarkan permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh perajin di Koto Gadang selaku mitra maka tim pengabdian akan melakukan pengembangan  motif dan produk yang lebih kreatif dan inovatif. Penjualan produk dengan menggunakan media social harus mampu menarik pembeli dengan memberikan informasi-informasi terkait dengan produk-produk yang ditawarkan kepada masyarakat. Hasil desain motif ini diaplikasikan kedalam sebuah produk secara prototype yaitu tas untuk mukena dan sajadah. Hal ini pengembangan desain motif untuk Koto Gadang memberikan nilai jual ke dalam sebuah produk pakai dan produk ini dapat menjadi keuanggulan produk local khususnya daerah Koto Gadang.

Abstract

A generator is an electrical device that functions as a tool that can convert mechanical energy into electrical energy. Generator efficiency will affect the performance of the PLTU system, the greater the generator efficiency, the better the generator efficiency, therefore generator efficiency is an important thing to maintain the quality of electrical energy that will be distributed to consumers. The aim of this research is to calculate the influence of fluctuating turbine power on generator efficiency using the Steam Property mobile application. Based on the average value obtained, the efficiency of the unit 1 power plant is 87.46%, with an average load of 4.26 MW and actual turbine power of 4.88 MW. The lowest efficiency display occurred on day 1 with an efficiency of 78.83%, while the highest efficiency value occurred on day 5 with an efficiency of 91.28%. Changes in the load on the generator affect the generator efficiency value which is followed by changes in actual turbine power, where if the load value is close to the actual turbine power value then the efficiency is large and vice versa.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and design an effective Solar Power Plant (PLTS) in Sambas Regency using the spatial data-based Weighted Overlay method. Sambas Regency, located in the 3T (Disadvantaged, Frontier, Outermost) area and directly bordering Malaysia, faces the challenges of uneven electricity distribution and the growth of energy demand that continues to increase along with population growth. With significant renewable energy potential in West Kalimantan, especially solar energy reaching 20 GW, this research has high relevance in providing sustainable solutions to support the region's energy needs. A GIS-based Weighted Overlay approach is used to determine the optimal location of PLTS by considering various parameters such as NDVI, NDBI, NDMI, LST, Slope, Rainfall, distance to PLN substation, and existing PLTS location points. The results of this mapping and analysis were then integrated into the technical design of the PLTS using PVSyst software. This research successfully overcomes practical obstacles, such as land protected by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, by providing detailed solutions that can be implemented. With the continuous growth of energy demand in Sambas Regency, the implementation of utility-scale solar power plants is becoming increasingly urgent. Through economic analysis that includes NPV, PI, IRR, and DPP, this investment can be concluded as feasible. With the application of the right methodology, it is hoped that this research will make a real contribution in supporting Indonesia's efforts to achieve carbon-neutral targets and meet energy needs in border areas that are still unelectrified.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the performance and capacity of the Solar Power Plant (PLTS) system that has been installed on charging batteries for street lighting. Before cleaning the surface of the solar panel, the energy produced only reached 707.46Wh, and after cleaning, the energy produced increased to 859.77Wh. However, these results still do not meet the daily energy requirements for a 12-hour battery charge. The research methodology includes analyzing the impact of dust on solar panels, evaluating the performance of PLTS, and calculating daily energy requirements. Based on the PLTS battery capacity of 9600Wh, the maximum energy obtained from charging the battery is still insufficient to power two street lighting lamps for 12 hours. Therefore, an evaluation of the installed PLTS was conducted, resulting in several findings. First, it is necessary to add 11 units of solar panels with a capacity of 455Wp so that the required energy can be met. Second, the capacity of the installed battery is sufficient to meet the energy needs of the lighting. Third, the capacity of the Solar Charge Controller (SCC) needs to be increased to 150Ampere due to the addition of solar panels. Finally, the inverter that has been installed with an output of 1000Watt is adequate for the needs of the system. The results of this evaluation can serve as a basis for improving the performance of the PLTS in order to meet the desired energy needs.

Abstract

Solar Public Street Lighting (PJUTS) utilises solar energy to reduce dependence on fossil fuels from PLN for public street lighting. With an emphasis on project capacity and total costs, this research examines the planning of solar-powered public street lighting in Dwikora Road, Jagoi Babang District. Research methods included technical and economic analysis. The research findings indicated that for a road with a length of 12,940 metres and a width of 5 metres, 325 light poles with a height of 7 metres are required. Three hundred twenty-five units of polycrystalline solar panels generate lighting with a panel capacity of 150 Wp, supported by a 12.8V 50 Ah LittoKala (LiFePO4) battery and a Solar Charge Controller type MPL1210. The total project cost is Rp 2,502,912,000, with an estimated lamp load energy of approximately 42,120 kWh per year. PJUTS Energy is expected to reduce dependence on fossil energy and promote environmental and economic sustainability in the region.

Abstract

Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Angin merupakan pembangkit yang mengubah energi angin menjadi energi listrik dengan menggunakan turbin angin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan besarnya energi output dua turbin angin yang memiliki daya nominal yang sama namun dengan merk dan kurva daya yang berbeda. Obyek penelitian tempat pemasangan turbin angin berlokasi di Kota Pontianak dan sekitarnya. Data sekunder kecepatan angin diambil dari data hasil pengukuran Badan Meteorologi, Klimatologi, dan Geofisika (BMKG) Supadio Pontianak selama setahun (1 Januari – 31 Desember 2022), sedangkan untuk turbin anginnya mengambil sampel turbin angin berporos datar (Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine / HAWT) merek A dan merek B, dimana masing-masing memiliki daya nominal 1 kW dengan jumlah sudu sebanyak 3 buah. Fungsi kerapatan probabilitas Weibull digunakan untuk menentukan besarnya probabilitas tiap-tiap kecepatan angin selama setahun. Berdasarkan nilai probabilitas ini disertai dengan kurva daya turbin angin maka besarnya energi output (energi listrik) yang dihasilkan oleh turbin angin selama setahun dapat dihitung. Dari hasil olahan data pengukuran kecepatan angin di BMKG Supadio Pontianak dimana Anemometer dipasang pada ketinggian 10 m di atas permukaan tanah, besarnya kecepatan angin rata-rata selama setahun adalah 3,7160 knot atau 1,9115 m/s. Pemasangan turbin angin A dan B pada ketinggian tersebut akan menghasilkan energi listrik berturut-turut sebesar 159,10 kWh/tahun dan 145,93 kWh/tahun. Dengan demikian energi listrik yang dihasilkan oleh turbin angin A lebih besar dibandingkan turbin angin B.
