Abstract

The aim of this research is to improve the understanding of the concept of the change of object form on the fourth grade students of State Elementary School Tlogorandu 01 Klaten in academic year 2016/2017 by applying the learning model of Treffinger.This research is in the form of Classroom Action Reseach (CAR) which was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four steps: (1) planning; (2) action phase; (3) observation; and (4) reflection. The subjects of study were teacher and students of fourth grade students of State Elementary School Tlogorandu 01 Klaten in the academic year 2016/ 2017 consisting of 30 students. The data were collected through interviews, observations, documentation, and tests. The data validity was triangulation of resources and triangulation of technique. The data analyzed technique used interactive analysis model which consists of three basic phases are: data reduction, data display, and taking the conclusion or verification. The result of the research shows that the average value of the class on pre cycle is was 56,00; then in the first cycle the average grade increased to 66,25; and in the second cycle the average grade increased to 79,17. Before the action of research, students who acquired more than or equal to 70 were 7 students (23,33%), first cycle the number of the students increased to 15 (50%), and the second cycle the number of the students increased again became 26 students (86,67%). Based on the result finding above, it can be concluded that the application of the learning model of Treffinger can improve the understanding of the concept of the change of object form for students in fourth grade students of State Elementary School Tlogorandu 01 Klaten in the academic year2016/ 2017.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of the character values of reading fondness through third grade literacy culture. This research uses qualitative research methods and uses a case study approach. The subjects in this study were principals, teachers and third grade students. The focus of this research is application of the values of reading fondness characters through literacy culture which is divided into three stages, namely the habituation stage, the development stage, and the learning stage. The data used is the literacy program of SDN Tunggulsari 1, the data sources are the principal, homeroom teacher, and third grade students. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. To test the validity of the data, the researcher used source triangulation and technique triangulation. This study uses the Miles and Huberman model analysis technique, with components of data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the application of the character values for the love of reading was carried out through: 1) the habituation stage by reading books 15 minutes before learning began. 2) the development stage, namely the existence of a library visit schedule. 3) the learning stage, namely the use of literacy strategies to support learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas IV SDN Bratan 1 Surakarta pada pelajaran IPAS melalui metode Project Based Learning (PjBL) berbasis media konkret. Metode penelitian yang digunakan peneliti adalah Penilaian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari 2 (dua) siklus. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran PjBL berbasis media konkret dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPAS. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan perolehan nilai rata-rata pada siklus I hanya mencapai 71,38 kemudian meningkat pada siklus II mencapai 80,52 dalam kategori baik. Temuan dari penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan konten video dengan berbantuan media konkret dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi wujud zat dan perubahannya.
