Abstract

The pandemic happened around the world has brought a major impact on the hfield of ealth and economy, as well as education. The government closed crowded places, offices, and schools. The school closures resulted in children in a situation called Stay At Home. The purpose of this research was to find out the efforts of parents and teachers in maintaining children's learning motivation at home, and the role of traditional games to increase children's learning motivation in facing Stay–At–Home situations. This research utilized a phenomenological approach with descriptive qualitative research. This research involved parents, teachers, and elementary school students in Solok. After approximately eight months, the schools as the research objects were closed so that students and teachers conducted learning from home. As a result, teachers, assisted by the guidance of parents, were demanded to create an active and creative atmosphere in teaching in order that students did not feel bored and learning objectives were achieved. One  of the efforts was to encourage the children to play around the house so that the child did not feel bored. Traditional games were an effective alternative to minimaze the influence of gadgets.

Abstract

This paper discusses the improvement of the reading-aloud ability of grade 2 elementary school students through a constructivism approach. The research uses the classroom action method, which begins with the pre-cycle stages, cycle 1 and cycle 2 where each stage includes planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. After carrying out the research procedures and collecting data, the results indicate that the reading-aloud ability of grade 2 students using the constructivism approach provided a significant increase in grade 2 elementary school students’ reading-aloud ability. The assessment indicators of reading-aloud ability were pronunciation, intonation, fluency, and students' courage, which describes an improvement in the students' reading-aloud ability test. The average pre-cycle score of students' reading-aloud ability was 67.85 increased to 73.53 in cycle 1. Subsequently, the average score increased to 80.23 in cycle 2. Based on the research results above, the researcher concludes that students' reading-aloud ability could be improved by using a constructivism approach for grade 2 elementary school students.

Abstract

Kaitan pemerolehan Bahasa anak dengan sosial anak adalah dengan tujuan utama untuk berinteraksi antara anak dengan Masyarakat sekitar dan dapat di terima oleh Masyarakat sekitarnya. Ranah pemerolehan Bahasa anak dalam lingkup keluarga kecil atau bersumber dari ibu yang biasa disebut Bahasa ibu. Menurut Sigel dan Cocking (dalam Rusyini,2008) Pemerolehan Bahasa anak adalah pemerolehan atau proses yang terjadi di dalam indivdu anak-anak guna menyesuaikan kaidah Bahasa yang sederhana antara orang tua dan anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perkembangan anak dalam lingkup Bahasa anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode naratif kualitatif dengan sampel penelitian anak usia dini yang berusia 6 tahun dan yang telah memasuki Pendidikan paud. Teknik yang digunakan dalam mengolah data dan mendapatkan data adalah observasi dan wawancara kepada orang tua dan anak secara langsung (face to face). Hasil penelitan ini menunjukkan kaitan pemerolehan Bahasa anak dengan kualitas anak menunujukan perkembangan kognitif dan mampu mengekspresikan pikiran dan dapat menciptakan hubungan Masyarakat dengan kualitas dasar Bahasa anak yag dapat diperolehnya seperti,membaca, menulis, berbicara, dan menyimak.

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan hak asasi manusia setiap warga negara Indonesia, oleh karna itu setiap warga berhak memperoleh pendidikan sesuai dengan minat dan bakat yang dimilikinya tanpa memandang status sosial, status ekonomi, suku, etnis, agama, dan gender. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan deskriptif berupa studi kasus dengan pendekatan studi dokumentasi yaitu menggambarkan suatu peristiwa/kasus dengan memanfaatkan dokumentasi di SDN Sindurejan. SDN Sindurejan mendukung pelaksanaan program SRA dengan komitmen yang diterima atau dipahami oleh seluruh warga sekolah. (1). Kebijakan sekolah yang cocok untuk anak, (2). Melaksanakan kurikulum, (3). Pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan dilatih mengenai hak-hak anak (4). Sarana dan prasarana sekolah ramah anak (5). Partisipasi anak . Dari hasil dan pembahasan yang telah disampaikan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan SRA di SDN Sindurejan sudah baik dan sesuai dengan tujuan penelitian.

Abstract

Uncomfortable, safe, and conducive classrooms are one of the causes of less optimal learning and a less supportive environment for school activities. To overcome this can be applied class beliefs. This is in line with the implementation of child-friendly schools. This study was designed to analyze the application of classroom beliefs to child-friendly schools. Research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The data sources used are from observations, interviews, and documentation. The result of this study was the implementation of an already good child-friendly school with the support of various parties, facilities, and policies implemented. For confidence, the classroom is a child-friendly school program at Sonosewu Elementary School which is still in its infancy so there are still some factors that are present such as poor student environment, parental participation, and family environment conditions. For its supporting factors are school facilities, student participation, school citizens, and commitment.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menilai keterampilan menulis naratif siswa bahasa Indonesia kelas IV dengan menggunakan media Graphic Organizer berbasis Circle Organizer. Rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam menyusun konsep, alur, dan penggunaan aspek kebahasaan yang tepat menjadi pendorong penelitian ini. Desain kuasi-eksperimental kelompok kontrol non-ekuivalen dalam penelitian kuantitatif ini terdiri dari kelas eksperimen yang diajarkan dengan Circle Organizer dan kelas kontrol yang diajarkan dengan metode tradisional. Pretes dan postes diberikan kepada kedua kelompok, dan uji-t independen digunakan untuk menganalisis hasil pada tingkat signifikansi 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata skor posttest kelas eksperimen (Ẋ = 88,00; S = 5,23) secara signifikan lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan skor posttest kelas kontrol (Ẋ = 68,54; S = 6,12), dengan peningkatan sebesar 24,64 poin pada kelas eksperimen dan 6,36 poin pada kelas kontrol. Penggunaan Circle Organizer telah terbukti membantu siswa menyusun teks naratif yang kohesif dan koheren, menyusun potongan cerita secara logis, dan mengorganisasikan konsep secara visual. Studi ini menunjukkan bahwa pengajaran yang memadukan representasi verbal dan visual dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis naratif siswa sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Success in learning can be seen from the teaching materials used. Teaching materials must be mastered and understood by students because they help in achieving learning objectives. Student Worksheets (LKPD) are printed teaching materials that contain tasks that must be done by students which are equipped with instructions and steps and are able to provide appeal to students. “This study aims to develop student worksheets (LKPD) based on picture story books, to determine the feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness of student worksheets (LKPD) based on picture story books to improve narrative writing skills of students at Muhammadiyah Wirobrajan I Elementary School Yogyakarta. This development research (Reserch and Development) uses the 4D model. The feasibility of LKPD by material experts obtained a percentage of 93% with a very feasible category, by media experts obtained a percentage of 94.3% with a very feasible category. practicality by teachers in field trials obtained a percentage of 91.67% with a very practical category, practicality of LKPD by students in field trials obtained a percentage of 94.28% with a very practical category. The effectiveness of LKPD in the implementation of learning in the field trial obtained a percentage of 90.48% with a very effective category, learning activities in the field trial obtained a percentage of 86.39% with a very effective category. The effectiveness of LKPD in the field trial obtained an average pretest of 60.42 and the postest increased to 85.68. The paired sample t-test on the results of the field trial obtained a sig value (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05 which means that LKPD is effective in improving students' narrative writing skills.”

Abstract

ABSTRACT Elementary students often struggle with composing procedural texts, particularly in organizing steps in a coherent and logical order. This study investigates whether the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) approach can enhance the procedural text writing abilities of fourth-grade students at MI Ma’arif Ketunggeng. Employing a quantitative approach with a One Group Pre-test–Post-test design, the research involved 33 students. Data collection was conducted through writing tests administered before and after the PjBL intervention. Results revealed a significant increase in average scores, from 62 in the pre-test to 82 in the post-test. This improvement demonstrates that implementing PjBL positively influences students’ procedural writing skills. The approach fosters active engagement by involving students in hands-on projects tied to real-life contexts. These findings highlight PjBL as an effective teaching strategy for Indonesian language instruction, particularly in developing procedural writing skills. It is recommended that educators incorporate project-based learning to provide meaningful, innovative writing experiences for students. Keywords: writing proficiency, Project-Based Learning, elementary education, procedural text writing ABSTRAK Keterampilan menulis teks prosedur masih menjadi tantangan bagi peserta didik sekolah dasar, khususnya dalam menyusun langkah-langkah secara sistematis dan logis. Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini yaitu menilai efektivitas penggunaan model Project Based Learning (PjBL) terhadap keterampilan menulis teks prosedur peserta didik kelas IV MI Ma’arif Ketunggeng. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain One Group Pre-test Post-test, yang melibatkan 33 orang peserta didik sebagai subjek penelitian. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu tes menulis teks prosedur yang dilakukan sebelum dan setelah pelaksanaan model Project Based Learning (PjBL). Nilai siswa meningkat dari 62 pada pre-test menjadi 82 pada post-test. Hasil peningkatan tersebut mengindikasikan bahwasanya penerapan model Project Based Learning berdampak positif pada keahlian menulis para siswa. Model ini mendorong para siswa berpartisipasi secara aktif dalam proses pembelajaran melalui proyek nyata yang yang berkaitan dengan aktivitas sehari-hari. Penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa penggunaan model (PjBL) memberikan hasil yang efektif dalam proses pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia, terutama dalam materi menulis teks prosedur. Guru disarankan untuk menggunakan pembelajaran yang berbasis proyek sebagai metode inovatif dan signifikan dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis peserta didik. Abstract

This research aims to analyze the factors that cause elementary students' beginning reading difficulties and teachers' efforts in overcoming them, with a case study at SD Negeri Triwidadi. The research method used a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects included the principal, first grade teacher, and students. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, including data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, with validity testing through triangulation of techniques and sources. The results showed that early reading difficulties were caused by internal and external factors. Internal factors include low motivation, concentration problems, and fear and lack of confidence. Meanwhile, external factors include lack of parental support, unsupportive environment, and less varied learning methods. To overcome this, teachers apply various strategies, such as individual guidance, repetition of material, use of interesting media, and collaboration with parents. The success of these efforts relies heavily on cooperation between teachers, students and families. This study concludes that a holistic approach, involving the roles of teachers, students and parents, is essential in overcoming early reading difficulties. Recommendations from this study are the need to increase the variety of learning methods and strengthen communication between schools and parents.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the relationship between reading comprehension habits and critical thinking skills of third-grade students at SD Negeri Sonosewu. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach involving third-grade students, classroom teachers, and the school principal. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model with source triangulation. The findings indicate that students’ reading comprehension habits are in a good category, as reflected in their ability to identify main ideas, understand word meanings, draw simple conclusions, and relate texts to daily experiences. Students’ critical thinking skills also show positive development, including analyzing information, explaining cause-and-effect relationships, making simple judgments, and predicting outcomes. A supportive school environment, adequate literacy facilities, interactive learning strategies, and collaboration between teachers and parents play an important role in fostering these abilities. In conclusion, reading comprehension habits are closely related to the development of critical thinking skills in elementary school students.
