Abstract

Andaliman is a commodity plant which has many benefits and high selling power. Andaliman plants are difficult to cultivate because of the difficulty of determining the suitability of land suitable for these plants and the absence of researchers who have conducted research on these plants. Therefore, a decision support system is needed that can assist in determining the suitability of andaliman plantations by using three criteria consisting of each sub-criteria, namely Soil Classification (which consists of soil Ph sub-criteria, soil type and humidity), Land conditions. (which consists of sub-criteria for altitude and light intensity), and climate (which consists of sub-criteria for air temperature and rainfall). A decision support system is a system which able to provide both problem-solving abilities and communication skills for semi-structured problems. This research system aims to design a system in determining the suitability of land for andaliman plants using the Profile Matching method, which is one of the methods in the DSS that uses the GAP weighting method. The programming language used in making the system is PHP with MySQL database. The results of the implementation of the system that have been made show that Jaranguda Village is the most suitable village for planting Andaliman plants.

Abstract

Thesis is a scientific work and a condition that must be taken in order to achieve a bachelor's degree. Thesis supervisors play an important role because they have the responsibility and ensure that students are able to compile the thesis properly so that it is ready for testing and quality. In higher education, a system is needed that can help and ease a job, especially in the selection of thesis supervisors. In selecting the thesis supervisor, it is still based on subjectivity, which causes the title submitted by students to not match the field of science of the thesis supervisor so that the lecturer appointed to guide the topic of the title submitted by students has a different field of expertise from the student's title. In this determination, there are sometimes less than optimal decisions where the appointed lecturer is not in accordance with the thesis topic proposed by the student. This system is made using the AHP method so that the programmed system can be carried out more effectively. AHP method is one of the methods used in decision support systems with the calculation process by comparing each criterion.

Abstract

Data mining is the process of extracting data into information that has not previously been conveyed, with the right techniques the data mining process will provide optimal results. Data Mining is divided into several methods. Data classification is a process of finding the same properties in a set of objects in a database and classifying them into different classes according to the defined classification model. The purpose of classification is to find a model from the training set that distinguishes attributes into the appropriate category or class, the model is then used to classify attributes whose class has not been previously known. The classification technique is divided into several techniques, one of which is the Decision Tree. One of the existing approaches in the classification technique is the C4.5 algorithm. The C4.5 algorithm is an approach in data mining classification techniques that can predict students' final grades. The variables used in analyzing the passing grades will be classified based on their attributes. The C4.5 algorithm with the decision tree method can provide predictive rule information to describe the process associated with analyzing student passing grades. The characteristics of the classified data can be obtained clearly, both in the form of a decision tree structure and rules so that in the testing phase the RapidMiner software can help predict student passing grades. With the formation of rules that can become new information that can be used as a tool in analyzing student passing grades.

Abstract

Efficiency assessment is vital to assessing decision-making units (DMUs) in numerous sectors. DEA is a prominent non-parametric efficiency assessment tool. Traditional DEA models assume deterministic inputs and outputs, ignoring real-world uncertainties and variability. To improve efficiency estimation, stochastic and robust optimization approaches can be integrated into DEA models. To improve efficiency estimation, we present a stochastic and robust optimization framework incorporating DEA. Probabilistic inputs and outputs allow stochastic optimization to account for uncertainty. The model can capture data variability and create stochastic DMU efficiency scores by adding probability distributions. For data uncertainties and outliers, the DEA model uses robust optimization. Robust optimization considers worst-case scenarios and minimizes extreme observations on efficiency estimation. This makes efficiency scores more resilient to data outliers and noise.  DEA models benefit from stochastic and resilient optimization. First, considering data uncertainties and fluctuations improves DMU efficiency representation. Second, eliminating outliers and extreme observations improves efficiency estimation. Third, efficiency scores help decision-makers make better, more informed choices. A case study in a specific industry shows the framework's efficacy. We compare classic and integrated stochastic-robust DEA model outcomes. The integrated model provides more accurate and dependable efficiency estimates, helping decision-makers understand DMU performance. DEA models with stochastic and resilient optimization increase efficiency estimation. By considering uncertainties and outliers, this paradigm helps decision-makers evaluate DMUs in many sectors more accurately and reliably.

Abstract

Planning production is an essential component of the decision-making process, which has a direct bearing on the effectiveness of production systems. This study’s objective is to investigate the efficiency performance of decision-making units (DMU) in relation to production planning issues. However, the production system in a manufacturing environment is frequently subject to uncertain situations, such as demand and labor, and this can have an effect not only on production but also on profit. The robust stochastic data envelopment analysis model was proposed in this study with maximizing the number of outputs as the objective function thus means of handling uncertainty in input and output in production planning problems. This model, which is based on stochastic data envelopment analysis and a method of robust optimization, was proposed with the intention of providing an efficient plan of production for each DMU of stage production. The model is applied to small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs), with inputs consisting of the cost of labor, the number of customers, and the quantity of raw materials, and the output consisting of profit and revenue. It has been demonstrated through implementation that the proposed model is both efficient and effective.
