Abstract

E-LKPD, an electronic learning activity, shows a good impact on student participation and ability to solve problem and apply learning concepts in some previous studies. The collaborative classroom using the problem-based learning model can be designed creatively, innovatively, and interactively, and used broadly using electronic media such as laptops or smartphones. This study aimed to develop Google Sites-based E-LKPD to create a fun learning process, encourage active participation, and improve the ability of students to solve problems and apply learning concepts in human excretory system material for grade XI. The ADDIE development model, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation, was applied in this study. The E-LKPD was then analyzed for its practicness and effectiveness on achieving scientific literacy among biology teachers and XI grade students of SMA Budi Luhur Samarinda on even semester of academic year of 2024/2025. The results showed that the developed E-LKPD had a practiceness level of 87.0% and 91.5% for the students and teachers, respectively, which were categorized as very practical. The effectiveness of achieving scientific literacy was applied using N-Gain analysis, which produced N-Gain score of 0.76 (effective) and 0.49 (ineffective) for the experimental and control classes, respectively. The increase in N-Gain in the experimental class was significant (p < 0.01, two-tailed t-test). These results indicate that E-LKPD based on Google Sites is effective in improving students' scientific literacy of the human excretory system material and is suitable for use in school learning for XI grade students.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the social structure of the Toraja ethnic community in Long Beleh Haloq Village, describe cultural adaptation strategies in social interactions within a multiethnic environment, and examine supporting and inhibiting factors affecting adaptation. The study employed a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation using purposive sampling. Eleven informants participated, consisting of members of the Toraja Family Association (IKAT), Toraja residents, local villagers, and the village head. The research was conducted from February to May 2025. Data analysis followed stages of data collection, reduction, display, and conclusion drawing, while validity was ensured through source and method triangulation. Findings show that the social structure of the Toraja community in Long Beleh Haloq Village is egalitarian and functional, where social status is determined by contribution, responsibility, and social roles rather than lineage. Cultural adaptation strategies include contextual language use, participation in work and communal activities, preservation of the traditional wedding ceremony Rampanan Kapa’, and active roles of families and IKAT in maintaining values of mutual cooperation, solidarity, tolerance, and togetherness. Supporting factors consist of strong internal cohesion, openness, and acceptance from local communities. Inhibiting factors involve differences in customs, coordination constraints, and geographical distance between settlements. Overall, the Toraja community is able to maintain cultural identity while adapting harmoniously to a new social environment through mutual respect and intercultural cooperation within an increasingly diverse rural Indonesian social context.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the pedagogical competence of Civic Education teachers at MAN 2 Samarinda based on the Regulation of the Director General of Teachers and Education Personnel Number 2626/B/Hk.04.01/2023 concerning the Teacher Competency Model, focusing on creating safe learning environments, student-centered learning, and assessment practices. The research used a descriptive qualitative method through intensive classroom observations and semi-structured interviews with two teachers and six students selected purposively. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, including reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that teachers’ pedagogical competence is mainly concentrated at the levels of conceptual understanding and classroom-level implementation across the three aspects, but declines at higher levels such as reflection, collaboration, and professional assistance. Assessment practices represent the lowest level of achievement, as they remain largely procedural and have not functioned optimally as formative tools.
