Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify and describe the competence of PPKn teachers in the application of learning models in the learning process at SMP Negeri 8 Samarinda. aims to analyze the competence of Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) teachers in the application of the learning model at SMP Negeri 8 Samarinda. The teacher competencies studied include four main aspects, namely pedagogic competence, professional competence, personality competence, and social competence. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of three PPKn teachers who actively taught at SMP Negeri 8 Samarinda. The results of the study show that in general, PPKn teachers at SMP Negeri 8 Samarinda have a good understanding of various learning models such as cooperative learning models, group discussions, and problem-based learning. However, in practice, the implementation of the learning model has not been optimal due to several obstacles, such as limited time, inadequate learning facilities, and low student learning motivation. Teachers' pedagogic and professional competencies tend to be more prominent than personality and social competencies, which still need to be improved in the context of interaction with students and colleagues. Thus, improving teacher competence as a whole is important to support the effectiveness of the implementation of varied and innovative learning models, so that the learning goals of PPKn can be achieved optimally

Abstract

Pada pembelajaran secara daring (online) mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA) materi Rangkaian Listrik cenderung kurang diminati oleh siswa kelas VIA SD Cendekia Bangsa Muara Kaman, disebabkan guru belum terampil dalam menggunakan media daring, kurang maksimal dalam pemanfaatan media online selama masa pandemi karena media dan metode pembelajaran serta pemberian tugas oleh guru bersifat monoton. Aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa dalam memperoleh pengetahuan tentang rangkaian seri dan rangkaian paralel juga rendah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa pada materi rangkaian listrik melalui model Project Based Learning (PjBL) dengan media audiovisual pada siswa Kelas VIA SD Cendekia Bangsa Muara Kaman. Metode penelitian yang peneliti gunakan adalah metode penelitian kuantitatif dan kualiatif. Sedangkan analisis data yang peneliti gunakan adalah analisis deskriptif yang didasarkan pada pengamatan menggunakan lembar observasi terhadap aktvitas belajar siswa dan tes pilihan ganda pada google form. Hasil analisis data yang diperoleh bahwa pada pelaksanaan siklus I dan II dari hasil observasi yang dilakukan selama proses pembelajaran menunjukan aktivitas belajar dan keaktifan siswa belum begitu optimal meski sudah memperlihatkan peningkatan dari setiap siklusnya. Dan pada siklus III, aktivitas belajar siswa dan juga hasil belajar telah mencapai ketuntasan minimal dalam ketercapaian indikator sebagai variabel ketercapaian penelitian. Seperti terlihat bahwa keaktifan siswa meningkat dari pra siklus ke siklus I dan dari siklus I ke siklus II, begitu pula dari siklus II ke siklus III, serta hasil aktivitas belajar siswa pada siklus I mencapai 51,85% mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II menjadi 68,28%, dan mencapai ketuntasan klasikal di siklus III sebesar 84,78%. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran IPA kelas VI materi rangkaian listrik dengan menggunakan model Pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL) dapat meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa hal tersebut dapat dilihat pada setiap siklus dimana siswa dapat melakukan aktivitas sendiri dan bekerjasama dalam kelompok secara langsung, dalam memahami materi dan menyelesaikan permasalahan dalam pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan tersebut di pembelajaran kelas IV A SD Cendekia Bangsa Muara Kaman.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan partisipasi peserta didik kelas IX-B dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan (PKn) di SMP Negeri 1 Samarinda melalui penerapan strategi efektif menggunakan media pembelajaran WordWall. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu penelitian tindakan kelas(ptk) dengan 2 siklus. Fokus penelitian adalah penerapan media pembelajaran WordWall sebagai alat pendidikan interaktif untuk menciptakan suasana pembelajaran yang lebih menarik dan partisipatif. Konteks penelitian ini adalah kebutuhan akan inovasi dalam pendekatan pembelajaran, khususnya dalam mengatasi tantangan rendahnya partisipasi peserta didik dalam pembelajaran PKn di tingkat tersebut. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan melibatkan peserta didik kelas IX-B yang berjumlah 30 peserta didik sebagai subjek penelitian di SMP Negeri 1 Samarinda. Prosedur pengumpulan data dengan observasi dan wawancara dengan cara membuat pedoman observasi dan daftar pertanyaan wawancara untuk guru dan peserta didik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam pemahaman terhadap potensi Wordwall sebagai media pembelajaran yang efektif dalam meningkatkan partisipasi peserta didik kelas IX-B. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga diharapkan dapat memberikan masukan konkrit bagi guru-guru PKn di SMP Negeri 1 Samarinda dalam merancang strategi pembelajaran yang lebih menarik dan berorientasi pada peserta didik. Dengan adanya penelitian ini, diharapkan dapat terbentuk landasan konseptual untuk pengembangan pembelajaran PPKn yang lebih dinamis dan relevan dengan perkembangan zaman di tingkat sekolah tersebut.

Abstract

Dalam konteks pendidikan di abad 21, siswa diharapkan mampu memiliki keterampilan yang kreatif dan dapat bersaing di pasar. Tujuan pelatihan pembuatan snack tower ini untuk meningkatkan kreativitas dan kewirausahaan peserta didik. Pelatihan ini dilaksanakan oleh mahasiswa Pendidikan Profesi Guru (PPG) Prajabatan Rumpun Sosial, Universitas Mulawarman pada tanggal 8 Mei 2024 dengan menggunakan metode Dessler, yaitu menganalisis kebutuhan pelatihan, merancang keseluruhan program pelatihan, mengembangkan, menyusun, dan membuat materi pelatihan, menimplementasikan atau menerapkan program pelatihan, dan menilai atau mengevaluasi efektivitas materi. Pelatihan ini diikuti oleh 30 peserta didik kelas X SMAN 16 Samarinda. Terdapat kendala pada saat pelaksanaan kegiatan ini, namun berdasarkan hasil wawancara bahwa kegiatan pelatihan membuat snack tower ini terlaksana dengan baik dan efektif. Hal ini terlihat dari respon positif dari siswa serta kehadiran siswa yang mencapai 100% dari target, serta peningkatan keterampilan siswa dalam membuat snack tower tampak signifikan, terlihat dari hasil karya yang mereka buat.

Abstract

A module is an educational material or learning tool that includes teaching materials, methods, and assessments that are developed in a systematic and structured manner to achieve expected competency goals. The aim of this study is to develop a valid, practical and effective mangrove module based on ethnoscience on biodiversity. The type of research is R&D which refers to the ADDIE method developed by Mayfield. Data collection techniques consist of expert verification, observations, tests, questionnaires, and interviews. The results of the study show that, this module was developed based on the manual previously used by SMA IT Darul Hikmah Bontang students to learn biology. The module validity result for the module is 99%, which is in the very valid category. The material validity result of the module was in the very reasonable category at 84.69%. The linguistic validity result of the module was 73.6% in the valid category. The results of the student survey regarding the practicality of the module were 88.65%, which fell into the very practical category. The effectiveness module in improving student’s critical thinking ability and environmental awareness have n-gain values ​​are 0.55 and 0.44. It can be concluded that the development of the ethnoscience-based mangrove module in the intermediate category has been effectively used to improve the critical thinking skills of the students of SMA IT Darul Hikmah Bontang.

Abstract

This study aims to improve Modules for science subject with the Computer-Based Test Assessment in order to train students’ critical thinking on one of science topics which is human’s respiratory system using ADDIE model. This model of research is the development research level 3. The data were collected by involving expert’s validation, observation, test, and questionnaire. The results showed that: the module validity result in terms of module itself was 93.75% with a very valid category. The validity in terms of language and material were 88.77% and 99.54% respectively, while the results by the Computer-Based Test application were 97%. The module’s practical results assessed by questionnaires were 89.41% and it means this module is highly practical to be used. The results of the module’s efficacy in terms of normality, the n-gain of all classes in pre-test and post-test’s sig value > 0.05, therefore the data was distributed normally. The results of paired sample t-test indicate that there is a noticeable difference on the average of pre-test and post-test results in the experimental group. Hence, the science module with Computer-Based Test is effective to be utilized as learning materials that can increase students’ critical thinking skills at schools.

Abstract

OSIS merupakan organisasi sah di sekolah yang menjadi tempat bagi siswa untuk mengembangkan potensi keterampilan masing-masing siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui program kerja OSIS dalam membentuk karakter kepemimpinan siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi dan teknik analisis data data mengunakan reduksi, pengumpulan data, display data, dan menyimpulkan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukan terdapat tiga bentuk program kerja yang berpengaruh pada pembentukan karakter kepemimpinan siswa, yaitu LDKS (Latihan Dasar Kepemimpinan Siswa) memberikan pengalaman langsung dalam kepemimpinan sehingga dapat membentuk karakter disiplin, percaya diri, tanggung jawab, dan berjiwa pemimpin, program kerja pembiasaan siswa di sekolah yang dapat menciptakan budaya disiplin, sopan santun, dan kepatuhan terhadap peraturan sekolah, dan program suara demokrasi dapat mengembangkan kesadaran politik, sikap demokratis, dan berpikir kritis.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the strategies used by PPKn teachers of grade VII at MTs Negeri Samarinda in fostering students' disciplined character during learning. This study uses a qualitative research type with research subjects consisting of 1 PPKn teacher of grade VII and 6 students of grade VII through the stages of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the development of disciplined character carried out by PPKn teachers went well where the teachers implemented various strategies, namely: Development of discipline in dressing is carried out through role models, conditioning at the beginning of learning, and giving sanctions. Development of time discipline is carried out through role models, giving tiered sanctions, and arranging activities and duration of activities in the classroom according to estimates. Development of task discipline is carried out by giving assignment deadlines, clear assignment guidelines, and feedback on student assignment results. Meanwhile, development of behavioral discipline is carried out through role models, setting behavioral rules during learning, and giving tiered sanctions. During the implementation of the above strategies, it was seen that students had shown their discipline well.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the learning strategies used by Civic Education teachersin instilling discipline in students at MAN 1 Samarinda. This study uses a descriptivequalitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observation,and documentation. The results show that Civic Education teachers apply disciplineinstilling strategies through exemplary behavior, habit formation, rewards, andeffective communication. Teachers consistently demonstrate discipline inattendance, time management, and task implementation, thereby setting a positiveexample for students. Through the application of these strategies, students showedan increase in discipline in attending classes, collecting assignments on time, andobeying class rules. This proves that the strategies used by Civic Education teachersare effective in instilling discipline in the learning process and have a real impact oncreating an orderly, active, and responsible learning atmosphere in the classroom.

Abstract

This study discusses the use of handphone in the teaching and learning process of Pancasila and Civic Education (PPKn) by teachers at SMP Negeri 22 Samarinda. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection tecniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the use of handphone in PPKn laerning covers three main aspects, namely positive impacts, negative impacts, and challenges. On the positive side, the use of handphone can increase students’ motivation to learn, independence, and digital literacy skills. Handphone also make it easier for students to search for information, broaden their knowledge, and understand the material in an interesting and contextual way. In addition, the use of handphone supports active, creative, and collaborative learning between teachers and students. However, the negative impact that arise include misuse for non-academic activities, decreased concentration in learning, and technical obstacles such as limited internet network and battery power. The challenge for Civic Education teachers is to control the us of handphone so that it remains in line with learning objectives and to address differences in technological capabilities among students. To overcome this, teachers implement supervision, educational sanctions, and character building in discipline and responsibility with the support of the school and parents.
