Abstract

The obyectives of this research were to investigate the species of trees growing well along with Ebony and their level of association in the nature habitat of Ebony in Donggala, Parigi Moutong and Poso, Central Sulawesi. The research was conducted during April to Juni 2015 at Desa Siweli, Donggala; the Nature Reserve Pangi Binangga, Parigi Moutong and Tambaro Forest Coservation, Poso. The research was 30 plot in each location. There are 22 species of found growing well along with the Ebony in Donggala, 19 species of trees in Parigi Moutong and 7 species of trees in Poso. The species was found inthe 3 locations is Durio zibethinus Merr. renga pinnata (Wurmb.) and Cananga odorata H.f. & T. Were found in bouth Donggala and Parigi Moutong but not found in Poso. The species of trees were found, positively associated with Ebony. In the 3 locations, the indeks of association (Oi) is about low to very low level of association (0,13 – 0,46), so that its not indicated the presence of Ebony with those trees.Keywords: Association, Ebony, Diospyros celebica Bakh, Central Sulawesi

Abstract

Masalah pangan adalah keadaan kelebihan pangan, kekurangan pangan dan/atau ketidakmampuan rumah tangga dalam memenuhi kebutuhan pangan. Masih adanya penduduk miskin, daerah rawanpangan, produksi pangan dihasilkan tidak merata antar wilayah dan sepanjang waktu, potensi SDA yang berbeda di masing-masing daerah akan berpengaruh terhadap distribusi dan pasokan bahan pangan. Oleh sebab itu, peranan distribusi pangan yang terjangkau dan merata sepanjang waktu akan berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan akses pangan bagi setiap rumah tangga di dalam memenuhi kecukupan pangannya. Tujuan penelitian ini sendiri adalah untuk mendapatkan data terkait pengaruh mata rantai pendistribusian pangan terhadap keamanan pangan, mutu pangan dan ketersediaan pangan di 3 kota besar yakni Samarinda, Balikpapan dan Tarakan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian survai dengan menggunakan instrumen penelitian wawancara terbuka (Open-Ended) dan observasi. Analisisdata menggunakan analisis deskriptif, yakni setelah data diklasifikasikan dalam bentuk tabel dan bagan, kemudian dideskripsikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan mata rantai pendistribusian yang terjadi di 3 kota tersebut dalam kategori panjang. Pengaruhnya terhadap keamanan pangan adalah sulitnya kontrol terkait pencemaran yang dapat membahayakan kesehatan manusia. Pengaruhnya terhadap mutu pangan adalah mutu bahan pangan akan menurun dengan bertambahnya waktu. Pengaruhnya terhadap ketersediaan pangan adalah jumlah yang cukup aman dan bergizi bagi semua orang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan keaktifan dan hasil belajar matematika peserta didik pada materi Operasi Bentuk Aljabar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Think Pair Share dengan Love Notes. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIIG SMP Negeri 1 Ungaran yang berjumlah 36 peserta didik, hal ini dikarenakan keaktifan dan prestasi belajar peserta didik di kelas tersebut masih rendah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam 2 (dua) siklus. Setiap siklus meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, evaluasi dan refleksi. Untuk memperoleh data keaktifan dan hasil belajar dalam penelitian ini menggunakan lembar observasi dan penilaian diri keaktifan peserta didik dan tes hasil belajar. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh respon rata-rata keaktifan pada siklus I sebesar 6,67 dan peserta didik yang memperoleh skor > 5sebanyak 80,56% , siklus II sebesar 7,11 dan peserta didik yang memperoleh skor > 5 sebanyak 88,89%. Nilai rata-rata hasil belajar pada siklus I sebesar 78,17 dengan banyak peserta didik yang tuntas (memperoleh nilai ≥75) 28 anak, dalam persentase 77,78%, siklus II sebesar 78,96 dengan banyak peserta didik yang tuntas 83,33%. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah (1) Pembelajaran matematika melalui model pembelajaran pembelajaran Think Pair Share dengan Love Notes dapat meningkatkan keaktifan peserta didik; (2) Pembelajaran matematika melalui model pembelajaran pembelajaran Think Pair Share dengan Love Notes dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan aktivitas dan prestasi belajar matematika peserta didik pada materi Persamaan Linear Satu Variabel (PLSV) menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif Two Stay Two Stray  (TSTS) dengan “Qujetfly”. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIIA SMP Negeri 1 Ungaran  yang berjumlah 32 peserta didik, hal ini dikarenakan aktivitas dan prestasi belajar peserta didik di kelas tersebut masih rendah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam 2 (dua) siklus. Setiap siklus meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, evaluasi dan refleksi. Untuk memperoleh data aktivitas dan prestasi belajar dalam penelitian ini menggunakan lembar observasi aktivitas peserta didik dan tes prestasi belajar. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh rata-rata aktivitas peserta didik pada siklus I pertemuan 1 dan II sebesar 38,47 dalam kategori baik. Pada siklus II pertemuan I dan II sebesar 44,2 dalam kategori sangat baik. Prestasi belajar peserta didik yang meliputi nilai rata-rata kelas pada siklus I sebesar 85,78, ketuntasan klasikal  78,13%, siklus II nilai rata-rata kelas 90,72 dan ketuntasan klasikal 93,75%,. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah (1) Pembelajaran matematika melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif Two Stay Two Stray  (TSTS) dengan “Qujetfly”dapat meningkatkan aktivitas peserta didik; (2) Pembelajaran matematika melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif Two Stay Two Stray  (TSTS) dengan “Qujetfly”dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar peserta didik.

Abstract

The study aimed to assess genetic diversity and genetic relationship of ulin wildlings randomly collected from a nursery and originated from Bukit Soeharto natural forest, East Kalimantan. DNA templates were extracted from leaf samples of 1.5 years old wildings. Five RAPD primers consisted 55 polymorphic loci were used for genetic studies. Genetic diversity and relationship were analyzed using GenAlex software. The results showed moderate mean value of genetic diversity (HE=0,345, SE 0,015) of the wildings. Forty eight wildings were clustered in only 3 groups; almost all wildings (65%) were clustered in one main cluster. Moreover, 4 wildlings were clones (8%). In conclusion, the 48 wildings of ulin consisted high genetic relationship and individual clones that reflects the low genetic diversity of this species.

Abstract

The progress of science and technology in the era of globalization, especially the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, Affected the use of the internet in the learning process. Conventional learning begins to be integrated with electronic learning or e-learning so that students can learn anytime and anywhere. The purpose of this study is to produce a learning media e-module based on flip bookmakers that is feasible and effective for use in biology subjects at Samarinda City Public High School. The research method follows the Borg and Gall development procedure with 4 main stages, namely 1) pre-development 2) initial development 3) development 4) application. The results showed that the flip book-based e-module media in biology in Samarinda City High School got an average score of 89.26%, included in the very valid category. The response of students got an assessment of 82.21% included in the very good category. This shows that the e-modules produced are suitable for use in learning. From the pretest and posttest, the gain score is 0.75 in the high category, and the students' score is more than 80% above the KKM, proving the use of e-modules is very effective in learning.

Abstract

Eucalypt is known as the fastest growing tree species in the world. Some advantages such as fast growing, hight yielding, short rotation, less desease, lots of purposes and good economic benefit have made Eucalypt as the most important forest tree product for industrial raw material in Indonesia. However, those advantages of Eucalypt including fast growing, high yielding, short rotation and less desease can only be achieved through selecting a good clone. Cutting propagation is considered as one of the main methode to produce good seedling. Sprouts of two clones of Eucalyptus pellita F. Muell (E. 13 and E. 77) were collected from mini hedge. Total of 1080 of each clone was planted in greenhouse. The result showned that Clone E. 77 was better than E. 13 in term of growth of rooting, the increment of height, stem diameter and number of leaves at 60 and 75 days after planting

Abstract

This study aim was to determine the influence of types and different concentration of cytokinin on the callus formation. The different sources of explant (cotyledons, stems, tubers, roots) from sarangsemut plants was cultured in Murashige-Skoog medium, supplemented with various levels of 2.4 Dichlorophenoxy Acetic Acid (2.4 D)viz0.5; 1; 1.5; 2 mg/l and combined with 2mg/l kinetin were performed to investigate callus formation. The results showed that the best callus formation was found on medium-supplemented with 2 mg/l 2,4-D and 2 mg /1 Kinetin on four sources of explant used. In addition, phenolic, alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins and steroids were also present in the callus.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is the development of a module for the protist course in the Biology Education Study Program (S1) FKIP Mulawarman University which is carried out by following the instructional design stages with the ADDIE approach, which consists of 5 stages: Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate. The data on the feasibility of the module teaching materials were obtained from the validation results by the Protista material experts and teaching materials experts. Meanwhile, the practicality test of the module was carried out by the respondent students of the Biology Education Study Program, FKIP, Mulawarman University. To see the effectiveness of the teaching module, pretest and posttest were carried out. The results showed that the percentage of the feasibility of the module material by material expert validators was 85.65 % with very valid criteria (decent) with slight improvements. The percentage of module eligibility by learning module development experts (teaching materials) is 86, 70% with very valid criteria (adequate). The results of the practicality of the material aspects of Class A and Class B are 84.6% very practical and the learning aspect is 83.2% very practical. Based on the results of the normalized gain test analysis, it shows that the average value of the N-Gain index for class A is 79.08% including the Effective category, while the average N-Gain index for class B is 78.07% including the Effective category. Meanwhile for the category of obtaining the average N-gain Score for class A is 0.79 including the high category and for the category, the average acquisition of the N-gain Score for class B is 0.82 which is also included in the high category. The results of this study indicate that the module teaching materials are very feasible and very practical to be used by students or lecturers in protist lecture activities on the material "Fungus: characteristics; classification: class Phycomycetes(Oomycetes)

Abstract

This study addresses four domains: 1) description of Role Playing learning model use as a learning strategy in Biology instructional process at school, 2) perspectives and threats obtained by teachers at school when addressing Protein Synthesis topic 3) Role Playing learning model in Protein Synthesis topic of Biology learning, 4) the influence of Role Playing learning model towards motivation and Biology learning outcome. The results of this study is teacher needs analysis instruments, analysed using descriptive qualitative. The study showes that the use of Role Playing Instructional Model during Biology learning process has not been performed at school according to three reasons: 1) obstacles obtained when addressing the topic which is difficult to observe, 2) the difficulties obtained when addressing Protein Synthesis topic, in this case, teacher needs to apply Role Playing instructional Model to engage students with their environment, 3) Role Playing as an instructional model that demands students to learn from their experience in order to motivate and improve their learning outcomes.
