Abstract

Changes in the global economic structure and the acceleration of digitalization have led to increasingly fierce competition in the job market, requiring students to have strong psychological readiness to face academic pressures and business challenges. In this context, psychological capital is a crucial factor that can support psychological well-being, or flourishing, for students engaged in entrepreneurial activities. This study aims to determine the relationship between psychological capital and flourishing in entrepreneurial students at the higher education level. The study used a quantitative correlational approach with a sample of 122 students from Surabaya State University selected through a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using the CPC-12 and PERMA-Profiler, then analyzed using the Spearman correlation test. The results showed a positive and significant relationship between psychological capital and flourishing (ρ = 0.360; p < 0.001). This finding indicates that the higher the self-efficacy, hope, optimism, and psychological resilience of students, the higher their perceived level of psychological well-being. This study provides practical implications for universities to develop psychological capital strengthening programs to improve mental readiness, academic engagement, and student business success.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to determine the correlation between Perceived Organizational Support and Work Engagement among members of the Indonesian National Police (POLRI). This study applied a quantitative correlational approach with 150 respondents. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics and the Spearman correlation test. The results showed that perceived organizational support had a positive and significant relationship with the Work Engagement of Polri members (r = 0.543; p < 0.001). Members who perceived higher levels of support tended to be more engaged in their duties. The support was manifested through fair treatment, attention to welfare, and rewards for performance. Theoretically, these findings strengthen the Social Exchange Theory and the Job Demands-Resources Model, which emphasize the role of organizational support as a crucial resource in maintaining motivation and Work Engagement, especially in high-pressure professions such as the police profession. From a practical perspective, this study highlights the importance of strengthening perceived organizational support in the human resource policies and management of the Indonesian National Police to maintain officers’ Work Engagement and professionalism.

Abstract

Teachers’ quality of work life (QWL) plays a significant role in sustaining instructional effectiveness, particularly in international school settings characterized by multicultural dynamics and complex institutional demands. This study explored teachers’ perceptions of quality of work life following the implementation of a job crafting training program at Sekolah Indonesia Johor Bahru (SIJB), Malaysia. The intervention was conducted using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach involving 24 teachers and implemented through iterative cycles of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Qualitative data were collected through semi-structured interviews, classroom observations, reflective worksheets, and group discussions, and analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings revealed patterns consistent with the dimensions of task, relational, and cognitive crafting. Teachers described shifts toward more intentional instructional adaptation, enhanced professional collaboration, and a reframing of work meaning and professional identity. These perceived changes suggest that job crafting functioned as a reflective framework enabling teachers to reinterpret and reorganize existing responsibilities within a multicultural educational environment. The participatory structure of the intervention appeared to strengthen teachers’ sense of agency and contextual relevance. However, the findings reflect short-term interpretive experiences and do not establish long-term behavioral sustainability. This study contributes contextually grounded insights into how job crafting, when embedded within a participatory framework, may support teachers’ perceived quality of work life in international school contexts.
