Abstract

This study aims to confirm the effectiveness of implementing the project-based learning (PjBL) model. The results of this study show that applying the PjBL model to the optimization method course has efficacy in terms of positive responses to learning participation according to the outcomes that need to be met at each meeting increase. As many as 100% of student studies show that learning a musical instrument in the form of materials and task plans can stimulate learning and curiosity in students. Additionally, 98% of students said they were delighted with the project assignments, and 2% said they were burdened with their tasks. Ninety percent of students said group work helped them complete a particular project, and 5% of students said they disagreed with their group assignments. In addition to the questionnaire, the effectiveness of implementing the PjBL model can be seen from the written exam results and the given project assignments. These are cumulative to the final value of the optimization technique course. That means 71% of students get an A. 17% A- and 10% B+. The value indicates that the optimization techniques course is very successful, and no student fails while working with the PJBL model

Abstract

Graduate Learning Outcomes (CPL), structured in the learning plan, require student-centered learning and the role of the lecturer as a facilitator known as Student-Centered Learning (SCL). One learning model that facilitates students to fulfil CPL is the PjBL (Project Based Learning) model. The purpose of this research is to achieve the vision and mission of the study program, which is to improve the quality of education in the learning process through the achievement of CPL. Discrete Mathematics is a course that provides fundamental material in computational science and a mathematical foundation for other courses that require programming. Therefore, the PJBL learning model was applied to the Discrete Mathematics course in this study, addressing mathematical problems and supporting the fulfilment of CPL in the course. This research approach is qualitative, involving activities, and quantitative in student responses after learning using the PjBL model. Research activities have three stages: preparation, implementation, and final. The research subjects were two classes of Semester 3 Mathematics study program students with 59 students. In the learning process using the PjBL model, there are two projects that students have implemented, and based on a questionnaire distributed to students, the majority of students feel that the implementation of PjBL is suitable for the Discrete Mathematics course.

Abstract

This research is related to the route of picking up the waste which done by janitors in housing complex of Aur Duri Indah Rt.14 Jambi considering the condition of that housing which have some crossroads, such that janitors take the same road twice which seems inefficient in terms of time and fuel consumption. This research is aimed to identify scientifically about the shortest and more efficient route which should be taken by janitors. This problem is considered as optimization problem through graph modelling. To check the efficient route, the existence of Hamiltonian Path of the graph is identified by using Depth-First Search method, and so is the shortest path. It is found that there are 39 Hamiltonian paths and the shortest path has total distance of 793.8 meter. By the existence of the shortest Hamiltonian Path, it is confirmed that janitors in housing complex of Aur Duri Indah Rt.14 can travel each road once with total distance is about 793.8 meter.

Abstract

Service quality comes from a comparison between customer expectations about the service they should receive with the service they actually get. An important service unit in state universities such as the University of Jambi is the library service. The library is a service unit that provides services in the field of literature. The needs of library users, especially students, for science and other educational media are difficult to separate. Therefore, the library is one of the academic support facilities needed by library users such as students and lecturers. Based on the results of observations, various efforts have been made by the FST UNJA’s Library to improve services, but these improvements are still not optimal. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the factors that influence service quality to assist the FST UNJA’s Library in reviewing the factors that affect service quality. The Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method is a multivariate statistical method that can be used to look at the factors that influence the quality of the service. SEM is an appropriate analysis used in social research. In this study, there are two exogenous variables used, the first is employee competency which has manifest variables to measure it, such as knowledge, understanding, ability and attitude. The second is library facilities that have manifest variables to measure them, namely library space, library equipment and reading book collections. As well as the endogenous variables used in this study is the quality of service which has five manifest variables of reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy and tangible. The research data is primary data obtained by researchers by distributing questionnaires to visitors to the FST UNJA’s library

Abstract

Kegiatan pemasaran pinjaman BRI cabang Kuala Tungkal dirasakan belum terlalu efisien. Hal ini dikarenakan proses penugasan karyawan bagian pemasaran yang akan menjalankan kegiatan pemasaran pinjaman serta pembagian lokasi bagi karyawan yang akan melakukan kegiatan pemasaran belum sistematis dan belum efektif berdasarkan jarak tempuh antar lokasi yang menjadi target pemasaran. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi banyaknya karyawan yang perlu ditugaskan untuk melakukan kegiatan pemasaran pinjaman serta menetapkan pembagian lokasi yang menjadi tanggung-jawab masing-masing karyawan sedemikian sehingga jarak tempuh yang dilakukan oleh karyawan dirasa efektif. Secara matematis, masalah ini merupakan masalah optimisasi yang bisa diselesaikan salah satunya dengan menerapkan algoritma Welch-Powell melalui pemodelan graf. Berdasarkan asumsi yang digunakan untuk mengimplementasikan algoritma Welch-Powell pada penelitian ini, yaitu bahwa setiap karyawan akan bertugas pada lokasi-lokasi yang jarak tempuh antar lokasinya kurang dari 20 km, diperoleh hasil bahwa dibutuhkan 9 orang karyawan yang ditugaskan untuk melakukan kegiatan pemasaran pinjaman di lokasi-lokasi yang menjadi target pemasaran BRI Cabang Kuala Tungkal.

Abstract

Kesulitan yang selalu ditemui oleh wakil kepala sekolah bidang kurikulum se-Kabupaten Muaro Jambi saat akan memulai tahun ajaran baru atau semester baru adalah menata jadwal pelajaran. Pekerjaan ini sangat penting untuk kenyamanan dalam keberlangsungan kegiatan pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, pekerjaan penataan jadwal pelajaran butuh keseriusan tingkat tinggi dan langkah yang sistematis supaya tidak membutuhkan banyak waktu. Suatu algoritma yang membantu untuk menata jadwal pelajaran dengan cara sistematis adalah algoritma Welch-Powell. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan penerapan algoritma Welch-Powell untuk menata jadwal pelajaran kepada wakil kepala sekolah agar dapat menata jadwal mudah dan baik. Pelatihan ini diikuti oleh sebanyak 66 wakil kepala SMP se-Kabupaten Muaro Jambi bidang kurikulum. Perangkat lunak yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini adalah ms. Excel. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa peserta sangat merasakan kebermanfaatan dari pelatihan dan mampu menyusun jadwal pelajaran menggunakan algoritma Welch-Powell.

Abstract

Bank 9 Jambi requires optimization planning to maintain financial balance. The optimization is relate to five objectives that are maximize assets, minimize liabilities, maximize equity, maximize income, and minimize expenses. Therefore, the aim of this research was to analyze the possibility of optimization in financial report in Bank 9 Jambi. Because there are 5 objectives which were considered in this research, so the model applied is goal programming. By the result of goal programming, it was confirmed that Bank 9 Jambi can meet five goals as desired. Besides, in this research, sensitivity analysis was performed to identify whether the result of goal programming will be changed or not, especially the sensitivity analysis of right side of inequality in the constraints of the model. And the result of sensitivity analysis is that the five goals will still be met as long as the limit of total asset for 1.5 years is in the interval of IDR 75,314,347 million to IDR 77,831,122 million, the limit of minimum total liability is IDR 66,719,681 million, the limit of equity target is in the interval IDR 11,111,441 million to Rp.11. 482,751 million, the limit of total income is in the interval IDR 0 to IDR 6,542,843 million and the limit of total expense is at least IDR 1,435,052 million.

Abstract

Air terproduksi adalah air yang terjebak di dalam tanah yang terbawa ke atas permukaan selama terjadinya eksplorasi dan produksi minyak dan gas bumi. Air terproduksi bisa disebut sebagai brine, saltwater atau air formasi. Air terproduksi merupakan salah satu volume limbah terbesar yang terkait dengan produksi minyak dan gas bumi. Terlebih untuk lapangan marjinal, water cut mencapai 90 persen bahkan lebih. Air tersebut tidak dapat dimanfaatkan dan dibuang secara langsung dikarenakan bahan - bahan berbahaya. Pembuangan secara langsung dan penanganan yang tidak tepat pada limbah air akan menyebabkan efek jangka pendek dan jangka panjang ke lingkungan dan kesehatan manusia. Dengan kata lain, penanganan limbah air dapat mencegah resiko diatas. Dimulai dengan melakukan penelitian terhadap karakteristik air formasi yang terkait dalam pengurangan kadar bahan berbahaya didalam limbah air tersebut sebelum dibuang. Pengolahan dan proses yang tepat membuat limbah air tersebut dapat dimanfaatkan. Untuk mengetahui karakteristik air yang terproduksi dan untuk mengetahui tingkat pencemaran air formasi perlu dilakukan analisa sesuai Peraturan Menteri Lingkungan Hidup (Per-Men LH) No 19 Tahun 2010. Dengan Parameter COD, minyak dan lemak, H2S, Amoniak, Fenol, Temperatur, pH dan TDS, Hasil analisis dari ketiga perconto memperlihatkan bahwa air injeksi Outlet SP#A, Outlet SP#B dan Outlet SP#C dari lapangan minyak Y untuk beberapa parameter masih dibawah baku mutu yang ditetapkan, tetapi untuk konsentarsi TDS melebihi nilai bakumutu yang ditetapkan yaitu 4000 mg/L

Abstract

− Exports are an important indicator in the Indonesian economy. In April 2022, the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) reported that Indonesia's export value reached USD 27.32 billion, an increase of 47.76% compared to the previous month. Unstable export values are influenced by exchange rate fluctuations, changes in market demand, and other external factors, making business planning and trade between countries difficult. This study aims to predict the value of Indonesian exports using Lee's Fuzzy Time Series method and measure its accuracy with Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE). The data used is secondary data from BPS, covering export values from January 2021 to February 2024. The steps in this method include determining the universe set, interval formation, fuzzy set, fuzzification of data, determination of Fuzzy Logic Relationship (FLR), formation of Fuzzy Logic Relationship Group (FLRG), defuzzification, and prediction results. the results showed that prediction with Fuzzy Time Series Lee has an error rate of 5.1568% (MAPE), which is in the excellent category. The predicted value of Indonesia's exports for March 2024 is US$ 21,850.69 million.
