Abstract

Kemampuan penalaran merupakan kemampuan penting dan sangat diperlukan untuk memecahkan suatu permasalahan dalam fisika. Untuk memfasilitasi siswa diperlukan suatu metode pembelajaran yang mendukung hal itu. Adanya penelitian ini guna mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh Problem Based Learning  terhadap kemampuan penalaran siswa kelas X pada materi gerak lurus.  Metode pre-eksperimen  dengan one group pretest posttest design dan dilakukan kepada siswa kelas X IPA 2 SMAN 2 MEJAYAN yang berjumlah 33 siswa. Sampel ini diambil dari teknik pengambilan sampling convenience sampling. Keseluruhan mendapatkan perlakuan setelah pengerjaan soal pretest dan mengerjakan soal postest setelah diberi perlakuan. Perlakuan yang didapat siswa adalah kegiatan pembelajaran menggunakan problem based learning. Keekektifan metode pembelajaran dapat diketahui dengan melihat hasil analisis N-Gain , serta effectsize  pada nilai pretest maupun postest . Instrumen berupa tes, angket respon siswa dan lembar observasi problem based learning.

Abstract

This study aims to describe in detail the results of the development of a problem-solving STEM module with the theme of the dome house, and explain the results of the improvement after the use of the module. STEM is an approach that combines science, technology, engineering, and mathematics into a single discipline that is able to realize learning by presenting real problems in everyday life. The STEM module based on the problem-solving ability developed raised the theme of the dome house, which has a function as an earthquake-resistant house which was used as a reconstruction of post-earthquake housing and is permanent, economical, and efficient. Solving problems is one part of high-level thinking, as well as a form of action in solving problems that utilize the knowledge they have. Indicator of achievement of problem solving is analyzing the problem, making a plan for its completion, carrying out planning, and checking again. The development method applied is Research and Development. This module is validated by 5 experts, the results show that the module is very feasible to use. The module was tested on research subjects totaling 20 eighth grade students. The results show that the highest increase in students' problem-solving ability after the implementation of the module is the indicator carrying out the plan with n-gain 0.40, while the lowest increase in the indicator understands the problem with n-gain 0.22. Overall, the STEM module that was developed was able to improve the problem solving ability  of state Islamic junior high school  students.

Abstract

This research was conducted to: (1) develop hybrid learning website media based on digital literacy skills in physics learning, (2) describe the characteristics of products developed, (3) describe students' responses to the developed media. The device developed in the form of hybrid learning website media based on digital literacy skills in physics learning with the development procedure used is the ADDIE model which consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. Media characteristics of hybrid learning websites based on digital literacy capability, namely the website media developed has been based on the concept of hybrid learning and integrated with the dimensions of digital literacy capabilities. Student responses to hybrid learning website media based on digital literacy ability are still in good condition with a percentage of 79.85%.

Abstract

Student Worksheet (LKS) is a learning media for experimental activities which as a source of student learning which can provide experiences for students, develop skills, and influence their attitudes. The purpose of this study is to produce a Worksheet Discovery-Character Experiment to hone the scientific attitudes and character of students that are suitable to be used in learning. This research is a 4D development study but only reached the development stage. Data collected in the form of LKS feasibility data from experts (lecturers and teachers). Based on the results of the analysis, it was concluded that the Discovery-Character Experiment worksheet (discovery learning integrated character education) is very feasible to use with an average percentage of 93%. This worksheet is equipped with 3 Temperature and Heat experiment worksheets, concept maps, discussion material, practice questions, and self-evaluation related to students' scientific attitudes and characters. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the worksheet was arranged using discovery learning that is integrated in character education at the temperature and heat material of class X vocational high school. Each learning activity which integrated discovery learning can build students’ character and scientific attitude.

Abstract

Kabupaten pacitan memiliki komoditas flora laut yang potensial. Salah satunya adalah E. acoroides. Pemanfaatan E. acoroides sebagai sumber bahan kimia dan obat-obatan membutuhkan pengolahan yang tepat sehingga mampu tahan dalam waktu yang lama. Salah satu proses yang biasa diberikan adalah proses pemanasan untuk memperlambat proses kimia dan biologi pada bahan, sehingga bahan menjadi tahan lama. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen.Tahapan penelitian meliputi pengambilan dan preparasi E. acoroides, pembuatan serbuk seresah E. acoroides, analisa kualitas serbuk seresah E. acoroides yang meliputi analisa kadar air, kadar abu, kadar lemak, dan kadar pati.  Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah proses pengeringan dilakukan dengan 2 cara yaitu menggunakan oven dan sinar matahari. Proses pengeringan menggunakan oven yang berlangsung pada suhu yang tinggi menyebabkan terjadinya case hardening, yaitu bagian permukaan bahan pangan sudah kering sekali bahkan mengeras sedangkan bagian dalamnya masih basah. Kualitas kelayakan hasil produksi serbuk seresah lamun dengan metode pengeringan sinar matahari kadar air 14,76%, kadar abu 18,83%, kadar pati 9,88% dan kadar lemak 0,54%.  Pengeringan menggunakan oven kadar airnya 23,66%, kadar abu 19,39%, kadar pati 8,73% dan kadar lemak 0,74%.

Abstract

This research is served to develop teaching instruments which refer to 4-D Model, including: interactive multimedia, Lesson Plan, Syllabus, Student Worksheet and Evaluation, for the subject of Genetics through two-cycle action research. This research aso attempts to develop the effectiveness of teaching by the application of teaching media which visualize the abstract concepts of the Genetics class consisting of 42 students of semester IV class D of Biology Study Program, the Faculty of Natural Science and Mathematics, IKIP PGRI MADIUN. Teaching process is implemented by One Group Pretest-Posttest Design, and the data are analyzed descriptively. The analysis results in conclusions that: the teaching-learning  scenario is carried out well, learning acitivities are well-developed by the use of multimedia instruments. The observation finds that one student has higher level of learning activities than the average of others by using multimedia instruments by 34.57% at the Lesson Plan 1, 28.14% at the Lesson Plan 2, and 45.57% at the Lesson Plan 3. Interactive multimedia model of teaching is able to put students above the classical threshold level by 97.2% leaving one student under the treshold level. Good response against the ineractive multimedia model of teaching is given by 43 students or 81.02%, good response against the teaching materials is 100%. Some aspects which have to be considered are: lecturer has to be well-prepared; students have to be well-assisted in using interactive multimedia apparatus; assurance that students with their own computer apparatus have the required programs and applications; strict coordination among lecturers in utilizing the infrastructures.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul fisika STEM terintegrasi kearifan lokal “Beduk” untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa SMP. Desain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP Negeri 2 Kecamatan Balong dengan melibatkan 38 siswa kelas VIII. Data kemampuan berpikir kreatif diukur  melalui tes dan observasi. Kuesioner digunakan untuk mengetahui kelayakan modul berdasarkan validasi ahli dan respon siswa. Hasil menunjukkan modul layak digunakan berdasarkan validasi ahli dengan kategori sangat layak dan didukung respon siswa dengan kategori baik. Kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa meningkat dengan N-gain sebesar 0,92 dengan kategori tinggi. Modul Fisika STEM terintegrasi kearifan lokal “beduk” untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif ini layak digunakan sebagai pendamping buku paket di sekolah. Abstract: This study aims to develop a STEM physics module integrated with "Beduk" local wisdom to improve junior high school students' creative thinking skills. The research design used was Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model. The research was conducted in the SMPN 2 Balong involving 38 class students VIII. The creative thinking ability were measured through tests and observations. The questionnaire was used to determine the feasibility of the module based on expert validation and student responses. The results show that the module is feasible to use based on expert validation, with very feasible categories and supported by students' responses in good categories. Students' creative thinking ability increases with N-gain of 0.92 with a high category. The STEM physics module integrates "beduk" local wisdom to improve creative thinking skills worthy of being used as a companion to school textbooks.

Abstract

DEVELOPING ROTATION DYNAMIC CONCEPTUAL SURVEY (RDCS) TO ASSESS STUDENT’S PRIOR CONCEPTIONAbstractThis study aims to develop an evaluation tool to measure the level of students' conception in the form of four-tier diagnostic test categories of material on rotational dynamics. The development model used is 3D+T. The steps of the 3D+T are: Define, Design, Develop, and Trial. The development instrument used was a validation sheet for material experts (expert judgment) and a four-tier question sheet for testing students. Validation of the feasibility of the items covering aspects of language, the suitability of the questions with cognitive aspects, and the indicator of the problem was declared very feasible to use. Instrument quality assessment is done by calculating CVR and CVI arranged in the form of a checklist column. This development research produced an RDCS (Rotational Dynamics Conceptual Survey) test instrument in the form of four tiers. The RDCS test instrument consisted of 16 items. Trials of the test instruments obtained a percentage of students' conceptions of error of 17%, misconceptions of 43%, did not understand the concept of 24%, and understood the concept of 16%.AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan suatu alat evaluasi untuk mengukur level kategori konsepsi siswa berbentuk four-tier terhadap materi dinamika rotasi. Model pengembangan pada penelitian ini adalah 3D + T. Tahapan model pengembangan 3D+T yaitu: Define (Pendefinisian), Design (Perancangan), Develop (Pengembangan), dan Trial (Uji Coba). Instrumen pengembangan yang digunakan berupa lembar validasi oleh ahli materi (expert judgment) dan lembar soal four-tier untuk uji coba kepada siswa. Validasi kelayakan butir soal meliputi aspek bahasa, kesesuaian soal dengan aspek kognitif dan indikator soal dinyatakan sangat layak digunakan. Penilaian kualitas instrumen dilakukan dengan perhitungan CVR dan CVI disusun dengan bentuk kolom checklist. Penelitian pengembangan ini menghasilkan suatu instrumen tes RDCS (Rotational Dynamics Conceptual Survey) dengan bentuk four tier. Instrumen tes RDCS terdiri dari 16 butir soal. Uji coba instrumen tes diperoleh persentase konsepsi siswa eror sebesar 17%, miskonsepsi 43%, tidak paham konsep 24%, dan paham konsep 16%.

Abstract

Tujuan pelaksanan penelitian ini untuk menguji kelayakan instrumen Rotational Dynamic Conceptual Survey melalui kegiatan penguji cobaan terhadap siswa. Instrumen Rotational Dynamic Conceptual Survey merupakan instrumen tes diagnostik berbentuk four-tier yang telah dikembangkan oleh peneliti untuk mengkaji perubahan konseptual siswa pada konsep dinamika rotasi. Metode penalitian ini adalah kuantitatif. Analisis hasil data penelitian menggunakan Microsoft Excel. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes. Hasil penguji cobaan instrumen terhadap validitas dan reabilitas, tingkat daya pembeda soal, dan tingkat kesukaran soal menunjukkan bahwa instrumen ini layak untuk digunakan. Uji validitas menghasilkan nilai rhitung > rtabel (0.632). Uji reabilitas menghasilkan r11sebesar 0.954 sehingga tergolong kategori sangat tinggi. Uji daya pembeda menunjukkan persentase 31% soal berkriteria sangat baik, 38% baik, dan 31% cukup. Uji tingkat kesukaran soal menunjukkan 75% soal berkategori sedang dan 25% soal berkategori mudah.

Abstract

ABSTRAKKemampuan berpikir kritis menjadi kemampuan yang dibutuhkan dimasa depan karena membantu dalam menyelesaikan masalah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui profil kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik setelah menggunakan integrasi STEM di SMA pada pembelajaran fisika. Penelitian ini menggunakan quasy experiment dengan one group posttest only design. Subyek dari penelitian ini yaitu peserta didik kelas XI MIPA 5 di SMAN 6 Kota Madiun. Instrumen dari penelitian ini yaitu tes kemampuan berpikir kritis dengan metode posttest. Selanjutnya data dianalisis dengan mengunakan statistik deskriptif. Simpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik terdistribusi kedalam tiga indikator yaitu indikator memberikan penjelasan sederhana rata-rata sebesar 94,62 kategori sangat tinggi, indikator membangun keterampilan dasar rata-rata sebesar 95,38 kategori sangat tinggi dan indikator memberikan penjelasan lanjut rata-rata sebesar 64,62 kategori sedang.   Kata kunci: kemampuan berpikir kritis; STEM. ABSTRACTCritical thinking skills are required in the future because it can help solving the problems. The aim of the research is to know the profile of the students critical thinking skills after applying the STEM integration of senior high school students in the physics learning. The research use quasy experiment in the form of one group posttest only design. The subject of the research in the student of XI MIPA 5 in SMAN 6 Madiun. The instrument of the research is the critical thinking skills test using posttest as the method. The next data are analyzed using descriptive statistic. The conclusion of the research in the critical thinking skills are distributed on three critical thinking indicator, the giving simple explanation indicator average is 94,62 very high category, the building main skill indicator average is 95,38 very high category, and the giving next explanation indicator average is 64,62 medium category.  Keywords: critical thinking skills; STEM.
