Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini ingin mengkaji tentang formulasi strategi peningkatan mutu IAIN di Jawa Timur yangdifokuskan pada: (1) penguatan bidang akademik (core activities of Higher Education); dan (2) Penguatanbidang non-akademik (supporting activities of Higher Education) dalam meningkatkan mutu IAIN.Perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi di era-global yang terjadi pada saat ini membawa dampakterjadinya perubahan dalam kehidupan manusia dan segala permasalahannya dapat diselesaikan dengan adanyapenguasaan ilmu pengetahuan dan perkembangan tehnologi. Kondisi ini menuntut IAIN di Jawa Timur agarmampu merespon secara positif dan dapat meningkatkan mutu serta dapat merespon kebutuhan stakeholder danperkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan tehnologi secara positif. Agar IAIN mampu memenuhi tuntutan dankebutuhan stakeholder serta berperan secara dinamis dalam persaingan global, maka perlu membuat formulasistrategi peningkatan mutu lembaga dengan baik. Formulasi strategi ini dapat dijadikan sebagai upaya untukmembuat perencanaan strategis yang dilakukan secara terencana, terarah, intensif, efektif, dan efisien dalamproses peningkatan mutu IAIN di era global yang terjadi pada saat ini.Abstract: This study wants to examine the formulation of the strategy for improving the quality of IAIN in EastJava which is focused on: (1) strengthening the academic field (core activities of Higher Education); and (2)Strengthening the supporting activities of Higher Education in improving the quality of IAIN. The developmentof science and technology in the global era that occurs at this time brings the impact of changes in human lifeand all the problems can be solved by the mastery of science and the development of technology. This conditionrequires IAIN in East Java to be able to respond positively and can improve quality and can respond tostakeholder needs and the development of science and technology positively. In order for the IAIN to be able tomeet the demands and needs of stakeholders and play a dynamic role in global competition, it is necessary toformulate a strategy to improve the quality of the institution properly. The formulation of this strategy can beused as an effort to make strategic planning carried out in a planned, directed, intensive, effective, and efficientmanner in the process of improving the quality of IAIN in the current global era.

Abstract

Islamic Higher Education Institutions to be able to compete among other educational institutions, both public and private, must transform by looking for formulations and innovations according to the superior character of each institution. With marketing strategies, universities can build public perceptions and assumptions to improve the reputation and positive brand image of universities. This research aims to reveal strategies to improve brand image and competitiveness in marketing at Darussalam Gontor University College. This research uses a qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out using interview, observation and documentation techniques. The research results show that: (1) UNIDA Gontor marketing segmentation strategy includes identifying and measuring market segments; (2) UNIDA Gontor marketing targeting strategy to increase its brand image so that it is competitive includes: concentrated targeting, multisegment targeting referrals with superior higher education boarding school systems, international achievements and reputation as well as building alumni and (3) Higher education marketing promotion strategies to improve brand image and UNIDA Gontor competitiveness uses conventional media including: brochures, articles, magazines and non-conventional media, namely direct marketing such as websites, social media applications such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube.

Abstract

Kualitas pendidikan dapat dilihat dari seberapa puas pelanggan terhadap pelayanan yang diberikan oleh lembaga. Pelayanan pendidikan yang diberikan oleh lembaga harus memenuhi harapan dan keinginan pelanggan. Wali siswa sebagai salah satu pelanggan eksternal memiliki peran penting dalam proses pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas pelayanan, kepuasan pelanggan, serta kualitas pelayanan dalam meningkatkan kepuasan pelanggan di SMP IT Sunan Kalijaga Blitar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus karena ingin mengetahui secara mendalam mengenai kualitas pelayanan dan kepuasan pelanggan di SMP IT Sunan Kalijaga Blitar. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipan, serta dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan kondensasi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kualitas pelayanan yang ada di SMP IT Sunan Kalijaga memenuhi lima aspek yakni tangible, reliabel, responsif, jaminan dan keamanan, serta empati. Pelanggan dalam hal ini adalah wali siswa menunjukkan kepuasan atas pelayanan yang telah diberikan oleh SMP IT Sunan Kalijaga. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan adanya re-purchase dan memberikan rekomendasi kepada orang lain. Kualitas pelayanan yang diberikan dapat meningkatkan kepuasan pelanggan karena lembaga mampu untuk memenuhi harapan para pelanggan dengan menunjukkan kinerja terbaik saat memberikan pelayanan kepada pelanggan.

Abstract

Globalization has changed higher education institutions to improve quality and competitiveness towards becoming a world class university (WCU). Therefore, the research objective is to determine WCU using the balanced scorecard (BSC) approach with 5 (five) perspectives). The research design is a qualitative approach. This research is a case study research, namely Darussalam Gontor University (UNIDA Gontor). Data analysis is inductive, with exploratory descriptive analysis techniques. The research results show that in order to move towards WCU from the perspective of (1) organizational changes: research, it is necessary to increase international collaborative research and international publications, (2) human resource policies, it is necessary to increase the number of lecturers with professor and doctoral degrees. (3) academic programs, need to be pioneered by internationally accredited study programs, (4) Internal Governance, UNIDA Gontor has established itself as a millennial Islamic boarding school campus and is designated as a campus that implements the best integrity zone at PTKI and (5) Financial, UNIDA Gontor needs to develop and explore resources -funding sources from domestic and foreign partners to strengthen internationalization programs towards WCU.

Abstract

This research aims to describe competitive advantage which focuses on competitive strength, competitive area, and competitive results in improving the quality of Islamic education at SMAS Islam Sunan Gunung Jati Ngunut Tulungagung. This research uses a qualitative approach with a field study type. The method used in this research is descriptive with data collection techniques using in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique in this research was carried out in three stages, namely data condensation, data presentation, and verification of findings. Checking the validity of data in research uses extension and persistence of participation. The results of this research show that (1) the competitive strength of SMAS Islam Sunan Gunung Jati Ngunut Tulungagung refers to its advantages and differentiates it from competitors, thereby providing a competitive advantage in the market. (2) The competitive area includes certain market segments or the entire market targeted by educational institutions. (3) Then the competitive results are reflected in the institution's ability to attract prospective students, provide quality education, and meet the needs of students and parents effectively.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan aktualisasi nilai-nilai etik dalam membentuk keefektifan budaya organisasi di lembaga pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan melakukan pendekatan studi kasus lembaga pendidikan yang berhasil mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai etik dalam praktik sehari-hari mereka. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan September - Oktober 2024. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa madrasah secara aktif mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai etik dalam berbagai program seperti studi kampus, Khotmil Quran, dan kegiatan silaturahim. Inisiatif tersebut berhasil memotivasi siswa dan memperkuat karakter serta keterampilan sosial mereka. Kolaborasi dengan institusi eksternal dan kegiatan outbond juga mendukung pembelajaran yang partisipatif. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa MAS Abu Darrin Kab. Bojonegoro telah menciptakan budaya organisasi yang efektif, menghasilkan siswa berprestasi yang berakhlak baik dan siap berkontribusi positif di masyarakat.

Abstract

Pesantren, as the oldest Islamic educational institution in Indonesia, faces the challenges of modernization and globalization that demand improvement in quality and competitiveness. This research aims to analyze change management at Pondok Pesantren Tahfidhil Qur’an Sirojul ’Ulum Semanding Tertek Pare and Pondok Pesantren Darussalam Sumbersari Kencong Kepung in order to enhance quality and competitiveness. The research employs a qualitative approach with a multisite design. Data was obtained through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies, and then analyzed using the interactive model by Miles and Huberman, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that change management in both pesantren encompasses four dimensions. First, visionary change policies: Sirojul 'Ulum integrates tahfidz education with formal institutions, while Darussalam implements a mu'adalah system and strengthens da'wah. Second, the implementation of changes is carried out participatively through curriculum innovation, learning methods, and community-based da'wah programs. Third, change control is managed through monitoring mechanisms, evaluation, as well as the use of technology and pesantren regulations. Fourth, improvement actions are conducted continuously through curriculum refinement, enhancement of teacher competencies, strengthening the economics of pesantren, and a more adaptive disciplinary approach. This study concludes that effective pesantren change management must integrate visionary policies, participatory implementation, technology and culture-based control, and continuous improvement actions. These findings have theoretical implications in the development of Islamic education management literature, as well as practical implications for pesantren managers and policymakers in supporting quality and competitive pesantren transformation.

Abstract

This study aims to discover and develop a new theory of academic supervision techniques and approach based on prophetic value in improving teacher professionalism at MA Darul Huda Mayak Tonatan Ponorogo and MA Al-Mawaddah Coper Jetis Ponorogo. This study used a qualitative research multisite case study design. Data was obtained through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document studies. This study in two Islamic Senior Hight Schools (MA Darul Huda and MA Al-Mawaddah). Results: Individual techniques, characterized by trustworthiness, discipline, openness, and responsibility, include: classroom visits, class observations, and individual meetings, group techniques are carried out with good communication, respect for privacy, and mutual motivation, include: teacher working group meetings, subject teacher deliberation meetings, training, and problem-solving groups. Academic Supervision Approach Based on Prophetic Values are Spiritual Approach, Supervisor provides guidance through religious activities, such as mujāhadah, dzikrul ghafilin, listening the Qur’an, and worship in months of Rajab and Ramadhan. Exemplary Approach is sets a good example for teachers, always quotes verses from the Qur'an during guidance, encourages teachers to always quote Qur'anic, and instills honesty. Administrative Approach with Prophetic Value, that Supervisor team check teachers' learning administration, with ta’hil maddah activity involving correcting learning materials, especially for new teachers, and reviewing preparations for oral exams in Arabic. Humanistic Problem-Solving Approach, that supervisor gives teachers the opportunity to discuss their problems in teaching and provides the best solutions by prioritizing openness and mutual respect. The study contributes a model of prophetic-based academic supervision integrating Islamic spiritual values with modern supervision techniques.
