Abstract

This study employed a cross-sectional design to investigate the association between dietary patterns and the occurrence of overweight status in urban adolescents. A total of 124 respondents were recruited using purposive sampling. Data collection involved anthropometric measurements and completion of the Semi Quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire (SQ-FFQ) using a self-administered questionnaire method. The study findings revealed that 29% of adolescents experience overweight status. Most frequent food consumption occurs in staple foods (82.3%), animal protein (73.4%), plant-based protein (63.7%), fats (82.3%), and vegetables (50.8%). Conversely, infrequent consumption was observed for fruits (58.9%), snacks (68.5%), fast food (71.8%), and beverages (55.6%). Furthermore, deficits are prevalent in energy (44.4%), protein (46.8%), and carbohydrates (60.5%), while excess intake is seen in fats (57.3%). Respondents exhibit predominantly low physical activity (66.9%). Chi-square tests indicate significant associations between consumption frequency in the plant-based protein and vegetable groups (p ≤ 0.05) and between energy intake and macronutrients (p ≤ 0.05) with overweight status.

Abstract

Posyandu (Pos Pelayanan Terpadu) berperan penting untuk membantu mencapai derajat kesehatan masyarakat. Ujung tombak posyandu adalah kader, sehingga penting untuk seorang kader memiliki pengetahuan baik terkait kesehatan. Salah satu masalah kesehatan masyarakat Indonesia adalah stunting. Stunting dapat dicegah pada masa 1000 HPK (Hari Pertama Kehidupan). Berdasarkan data E-PPGM (Elektronik - Pencatatan dan Pelaporan Gizi Berbasis Masyarakat) Puskesmas Taktakan tahun 2022, jumlah stunting pada baduta adalah 48 orang. Salah satu metode pemberian edukasi yang interaktif dan dapat membantu mencegah stunting adalah Emo-Demo (Emotional-Demonstration). Emo-Demo merupakan salah satu metode pendekatan untuk mengubah perilaku masyarakat yang berisi kegiatan partisipatif serta  bertujuan untuk menyampaikan pesan dengan cara menyenangkan atau menyentuh emosi, sehingga membuat lebih mudah diingat dan berdampak positif dibandingkan dengan metode perubahan perilaku lainnya. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan pelatihan Emo-Demo ini dilakukan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan sikap para kader dalam membantu menurunkan angka stunting di Puskesmas Taktakan. Metode yang digunakan adalah pengerjaan pre-test, penyuluhan dengan ceramah, pelaksanaan 3 modul Emo-Demo (ASI Saja Cukup, ATIKA Sumber Zat Besi, serta Porsi Makan Bayi dan Anak), dan pengerjaan post-test. Setelah mengikuti pelatihan, para kader lebih memahami tentang stunting dan diharapkan dapat melakukan Emo-Demo pada kegiatan posyandu. Hal ini dapat terlihat dari hasil post-test bahwa 33,3% pengetahuan para peserta pelatihan mengalami peningkatan dan hasil post-test bahwa 25% sikap para peserta pelatihan mengalami peningkatan menjadi sangat positif.

Abstract

Salah satu masalah kesehatan yang tinggi di Indonesia adalah stunting. Stunting adalah gangguan perkembangan anak yang disebabkan oleh kekurangan gizi, infeksi, atau stimulasi yang tidak memadai. Prevalensi stunting di Provinsi Banten sebesar 24,5% dan prevalensi stunting di Kota Serang sebesar 27,2%. Pondok Kahuru merupakan salah satu desa di Kecamatan Ciomas, Kota Serang yang mengalami peningkatan prevalensi stunting sebesar 7,66% selama tahun 2020 hingga 2021. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman yang benar tentang stunting dan cara pemberian MP-ASI (Makanan Pendamping ASI) yang tepat kepada anak dalam rangka menurunkan angka stunting di Desa Pondok Kahuru. Metode yang digunakan adalah penyuluhan dengan pre-test dan post-test. Setelah diberikan edukasi, ibu lebih memahami tentang pentingnya mencegah stunting melalui pemberian MP-ASI yang optimal. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan peningkatan nilai post-test para peserta kegiatan.

Abstract

Overnutrition, including overweight and obesity, has emerged as a growing public health concern that may adversely affect workers’ health status, physical capacity, and overall job performance. In Indonesia, the prevalence of overweight and obesity among adults continues to increase, potentially contributing to reduced labor productivity. However, empirical findings on the relationship between nutritional status and work productivity among Indonesian workers remain fragmented and inconsistent across individual studies. Therefore, this study aimed to synthesize existing evidence and examine the association between over nutritional status and work productivity among workers in Indonesia through a systematic literature review and meta-analysis. A comprehensive literature search was conducted in Google Scholar, Semantic Scholar, Scopus, and Web of Science using the PICOS framework. Eligible studies were quantitative cross-sectional studies published between 2015 and 2025 that assessed body mass index (BMI) and work productivity among Indonesian workers. Statistical synthesis was performed using a random-effects meta-analysis model with odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) as the effect measures. A total of 20 studies met the inclusion criteria and were included in the quantitative analysis. The pooled results demonstrated that workers with abnormal nutritional status had significantly higher odds of experiencing reduced work productivity compared to workers with normal nutritional status (OR = 2.20; 95% CI: 1.19–4.08; p = 0.0001), with moderate heterogeneity across studies (I² = 64%). These findings suggest that overnutrition represents an important determinant of work productivity among Indonesian workers and highlight the need for workplace-based nutrition and health promotion interventions to support workforce performance and sustainability.
