Abstract

The objective of this study was to analyze type, amount, and nutritional quality of breakfast among Indonesian children aged 3—12 years old. Data used for this study was secondary data of Basic Health Survey 2010 (Riskesdas 2010). Data was collected from June until August 2010 by applying a cross sectional design. This study covered 33 provinces of Indonesia, with total 40,437 children consisted of 20,659 boys and 19,778 girls. The results of this study showed that ten major type of foods consumed during breakfast were rice, swamp cabbage, egg, fish, tempe, instant noodles, tofu, bread, chicken and biscuits; and five major type of beverages consumed during breakfast were drinking water, tea, milk, coffee, and syrup. The food consumed on average of more than 5 g a day during breakfast were rice, swamp cabbage, egg, fish, tempe, instant noodles; and the beverages consumed on average of more than 15 mL a day were water, tea, and milk. Only 10.6% of children breakfast met energy intake>30% RDA.

Abstract

Food problems arise from a lack of food diversity, high food prices, and a food culture that does not support an adequate supply of nutrients in the household. This study aimed to analyze the disparity of food consumption patterns of the population of Banten Province based on the typology of the region and the administrative area of Banten Province. The research method was an explorative study with a retrospective study approach using secondary data, namely the National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) Banten Province 2017. This type of data was collected on the food consumption of the population presented in the form of a table of the average quantity of food consumption per commodity in household order units per capita / week. Data analysis was carried out quantitatively by descriptive methods. The results of the study, namely the quantity of food consumption of the population of Banten Province, showed a disparity based on regional typology where the average energy consumption of food for households in rural areas was still higher, namely 2404 Kcal compared to urban areas, which was 2338 Kcal and was dominated by food sources of grains. The average energy consumption of the population in the regency area is 2315 - 2489 kcal/capita/day while the urban area is 2294 – 2406 kcal/capita/day. The conclusion is that the districts with the highest levels of energy consumption and adequacy are found in Lebak and Pandeglang districts but have the lowest PPH scores compared to other districts.

Abstract

Stunting adalah keadaan terhambatnya pertumbuhan akibat kurangnya asupan gizi dalam jangka waktu yang lama. Faktor-faktor yang mempe­ngaruhinya antara lain kondisi sosial ekonomi, status gizi ibu saat hamil, infeksi dan penyakit pada bayi, serta kekurangan asupan gizi pada bayi. Pencegahan stunting dapat dilakukan dengan kolaborasi antara perguruan tinggi dengan masyarakat melalui kegiatan pengabdian. Tujuan kegiatan pelatihan pola konsumsi bayi pada kader posyandu Desa Sindangsari Pabuaran Serang Banten dilakukan sebagai salah satu upaya pencegahan stunting dalam implementasi bela negara untuk meningkatkan efektivitas sistem penanganan kesehatan matra dan mitigasi bencana. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 11 September 2022 dan diikuti oleh 31 responden yang merupakan kader posyandu Desa Sindangsari. Hasil kegiatan ini adalah tingkat pengetahuan dan ketrampilan responden terhadap keterampilan pola konsumsi bayi 0-24 bulan meningkat dalam kategori pengetahuan baik yaitu sebesar 19% (dari 63,79% menjadi 82,79%). Peningkatan keterampilan dalam pola konsumsi bayi ditunjukkan dengan praktek dan presentasi pola konsumsi bayi secara langsung.

Abstract

UKM Awal Putra Mandiri is an activist for the city of Serang's superior product Sate Bandeng so that it can develop by seeing a sustainable business opportunity by exploiting existing potential. UMKM Sate Bandeng Awal Putra Mandiri, is one of the UMKMs that provides Sate Bandeng products and has product supplies at the national level. The results obtained from the discussion contained problems that were experienced, namely that technology had not been implemented which was able to detect the freshness and content of dangerous substances in milkfish raw materials in a real-time, practical manner. This Community Service activity includes dissemination and training on Integrated Embedded Sensing System technology products for detecting the level of freshness of food ingredients and the content of dangerous substances. The implementation of Community Service activities runs well and smoothly, so that employees and UKM owners are very interested in using technological tools. Apart from that, this activity can reduce the costs incurred by UKMs due to mistakes in buying fish that is not fresh.. Abstrak UKM Awal Putra Mandiri merupakan penggiat produk unggulan kota Serang Sate Banden g sehingga dapat berkembang dengan melihat suatu peluang usaha yang berkesinambungan dengan memanfaatkan potensi yang ada. UMKM Sate Bandeng Awal Putra Mandiri, menjadi salah satu UMKM yang menyediakan produk Sate Bandeng dan memiliki pasokan produk ke tin gkat nasional. Hasil yang didapatkan dari diskusi terdapat permasalahan yang di alami yaitu belum diterapkan teknologi yang mampu mendeteksi kesegaran dan kandungan zat berbahaya pada bahan baku ikan bandeng yang real- time, dan praktis. Kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat inimeliputi diseminasi dan pelatihan produk teknologi Integrated Embedded Sensing System untuk deteksi tingkat kesegaran bahan pangan dan kandungan zat berbahaya. Pelaksanaan kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat berjalan dengan baik dan lancar, sehingga para karyawan dan owner UKM sangat tertarik dengan menggunakan alat teknologi. Selain itu, dari kegiatan tersebut mampu menekan biaya pengeluaran UKM untuk kesalahan membeli ikan yang tidak segar.

Abstract

Adolescence, especially Junior High School (SMP) age, is the early age of adolescents experiencing puberty for women which is marked by menstruation, often pain is felt when that period occurs, many factors influence this pain, one of which is nutrient intake and calcium. This study aims to determine the relationship between menarche age, nutritional status, calcium, and iron intake with the incidence of dysmenorrhea (menstrual pain) at SMPN 1 Pabuaran. The research design used is a correlation descriptive study with a cross sectional approach. The research results obtained using the Spearman Rank test showed that the relationship between age and the incidence of dysmenorrhea had a p-value of 0.789> 0.05, so the result was that there was no relationship between age and the incidence of dysmenorrhea, then the relationship between nutritional status and the incidence of dysmenorrhea obtained a p-value of 0.806> 0.05 means there is no relationship, then the relationship between calcium and the incidence of dysmenorrhea obtained a p-value of 0.000 <0.05, where the result is a relationship between iron intake with dysmenorrhea. From the results of the study it was found that there was no relationship between age and nutritional status and from the calcium and iron variables there was a relationship with a p-value <0.05.Keywords: Age of menarche, nutritional status, iron, calcium, dysmenorrhea, young women, menstrual pain

Abstract

The objective of this study were to analyze the effect of nutrition education media based on android and website to behavior and their relationships with balanced nutrition in primary school students. The design of this study was quasy experimental. A pre-post intervention study was conducted in Tuban City, East Java-Indonesia and involved 144 grades 5 primary school students. The intervention was conducted at the school by applying nutrition education media such as poster, powerpoint presentation, android, and website. A self-administered measurement with a validated questionnaire was applied to assess balanced nutrition behavior before and after the program. The result showed that a total of 72.9% school children had good knowledge, 78.5% positive attitude, 54.9% good practices on balanced nutrition before intervention. After the education program, the good knowledge, the positive attitude, and the good practices on balanced nutrition increased by 11.8%, 5.5%, and 15.9%, respectively. The media of nutrition education based on android was better than the others. In conclusion, the balanced nutrition behavior could be improved by the nutrition education program.

Abstract

This Community Service Program aims to provide education about family management that focuses on "financial health" to cadres of the Posyandu village of Sindangsari Pabuaran, Banten. A participatory approach is applied to encourage participants to be able to understand and master basic knowledge of family management, financial literacy and increase their insight into traditional myths that are irrelevant to the conditions of the times and can be improved. This community service activity involved 23 posyandu cadres, the PkM team and students. Education begins with a pre-test and ends with a post test, to measure the increase in participants' knowledge before and after education. The results of the post test showed that some participants already had basic knowledge of financial management, but they still needed to be given more knowledge about family management. Social media still has a great influence on the lives of participants, so financial literacy is very important to be applied. Related to traditional myths that are irrelevant to today's conditions, this education succeeded in changing the understanding of participants so that they no longer believe in these myths

Abstract

Desa Barugbug merupakan 1 dari 3 desa di Kecamatan Padarincang, Kebupaten Serang yang merupakan dataran rendah serta berdekatan dengan aliran sungai, sehingga sering terdampak banjir. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat adalah meningkatkan informasi masyarakat tentang tanggap darurat dan dapur umum pada situasi bencana untuk membantu agar masyarakat mengetahui hal-hal yang dapat dilakukan sebelum, ketika, hingga setelah terjadinya bencana banjir. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan pada 30 Oktober 2022, berlokasi di Kantor Kelurahan Gelam serta diikuti oleh 24 warga Desa Barugbug. Pengabdian masyarakat ini merupakan salah satu kegiatan dari rangkaian acara SNF (Sultan Nutrition Fair) yang merupakan agenda besar HIMAZI UNTIRTA (Himpunan Mahasiswa Gizi, Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa). Metode yang dilakukan dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah ceramah dan diskusi interaktif. Materi yang diberikan adalah manajemen tanggap darurat bencana, disampaikan bahwa kegiatan penanganan bencana dan Penyelenggaraan dapur umum dilakukan apabila tidak memungkinkan bantuan mentah untuk korban bencana. Setelah diberikan edukasi, warga lebih mengetahui tentang tanggap darurat pada bencana banjir yang ditandai dengan antusias saat diskusi.

Abstract

Anemia merupakan masalah kesehatan utama yang terjadi di masyarakat dan sering dijumpai di seluruh dunia, terutama di negara berkembang seperti Indonesia. Anemia ialah suatu kondisi tubuh dimana kadar Hemoglobin (Hb) dalam darah lebih rendah dari batas normal. Kegiatan magang gizi masyarakat dilaksanakan secara langsung di wilayah kerja UPT Puskesmas Kasemen, Kota Serang. Data primer didapatkan dengan melakukan wawancara terstruktur menggunakan kuesioner dan melakukan food recall 24 jam yang ditanyakan langsung ke setiap responden. data primer melakukan wawancara terstruktur dengan menggunakan kuesioner dan melakukan food recall 24 jam yang ditanyakan langsung ke setiap responden. Proses intervensi yaitu dengan melakukan penyuluhan tentang anemia pada remaja putri. Pada proses evaluasi terlihat bahwa ada beberapa indikator dan target yang harus dicapai meliputi jumlah peserta, pemahaman dan tingkat pengetahuan. Dari target dan indikator tersebut, peserta yang hadir yaitu 8 orang dan bersedia mengikuti kegiatan penyuluhan, Remaja putri aktif bertanya dari materi yang telah disampaikan, dan adanya peningkatan hasil pretest dan posttest dari peserta. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, maka program ini dikatakan berhasil

Abstract

Pra lansia atau usia madya merupakan kelompok usia mulai dari 45 sampai usia 59 tahun. Pada saat ini hipertensi merupakan salah satu penyakit tidak menular (non communicable disease) yang menjadi masalah kesehatan cukup serius di Indonesia. Hipertensi merupakan gangguan pada sistem peredaran darah yang menyebabkan tekanan darah mengalami peningkatan hingga di atas batas normal (140/90 mmHg). Berdasarkan data Riset Kesehatan Dasar, prevalensi hipertensi di Indonesia mengalami peningkatan dari 25,8% pada tahun 2013 menjadi 34,1% pada tahun 2018. Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan pra lansia tentang hipertensi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode ceramah dengan menyampaikan materi tentang pengertian hipertensi, faktor risiko hipertensi, komplikasi hipertensi, rekomendasi penggunaan garam, gula, minyak dan isi piringku, upaya pencegahan hipertensi serta rekomendasi bahan makanan yang dianjurkan, dibatasi dan dihindari. Hasil pengabdian masyarakat dengan kegiatan penyuluhan hipertensi telah dilaksanakan di Kelurahan Kasemen, Kota Serang dengan peserta adalah masyarakat kelompok usia pra lansia. Berdasarkan hasil pre-test dan post-test menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan rata-rata pengetahuan peserta tentang hipertensi dari 54% menjadi 96%.
