Abstract

Everything is changing in this world. Including a buying pattern of the consumer,caused by one or other reasons. This article is focused on the changing of consumerselection for the shopping of their everyday needs in the urban area. The article discussedon factor that caused of shifting from the traditional market into a modernmarket. This based on research which were conducted in four different city duringseven weeks observations. The research was done through interview and focusgroups discussion, and found that the shift into a modern market were caused byfactors of location, price, promotion, facility provided. Meanwhile, some will stay intraditional market, because of some factors such as bargaining process, interpersonalrelationship, and variation of the product. Further research is needed to find a form ofcooperation among actors in the market and develop a positive image for both side.On the other hand, also need an involvement from the Government in socialization,implementation and evaluation of the regulation.Keywords: Consumer behavior, retail, modern market

Abstract

Entrepreneurship has become a prime stimulant in the economic world, especially in the America, Japan, and Singapore. However, this has not yet occurred in Indonesia, supported by the data from of the Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises which mentioned about the number of Indonesian entrepreneurs which only 1.9 percent of 250 million inhabitants in 2013. Franchise business which is growing in Indonesia has a great opportunity for small and medium enterprises business development. Therefore, in increasing number of entrepreneurs, creativity and innovation play a great role in running the sustainable bussiness.The research’s object is examining the perpetrators franchise small and mediumenterprises in Indonesia region either they still survive or has been paralyzed. This study will use qualitative methods using in-depth observation and interviews. The research results are expected to increase knowledge and enrich the concept of entrepreneurship and franchising as the learning material in the classroom to build the entrepreneurial spirit of small and medium businesses in general and to encourage students in particular to make more advanced nations.Keywords: Franchise, Business sustainability, Indonesia’s Small Medium Enterprises

Entrepreneurship is not a new concept. An entrepreneur is a person that has a high morality, sensitive to his / her environment and possesses an entrepreneur mentality and entrepreneurial skill. Abstract

Consumer's buying decision process influenced by many variables. One of them is product image. The product image cannot stand alone itself, but influenced by consumer's characteristic, such as sex, age, education level, occupation, and, income level. A research has done in order to get accurate information about how these characteristics influence the product image. The result of this research can be used by any company which involve in offering product food supplement.

Abstract

Recently, the kids had have treated specially as a cluster of potential buyer. One of a number companies which is smartly targeted kids as their customer is McDonalds. Service failure, which occurs on delivering the product, could make consumer dissatisfied, and then will decrease their intention to re-purchase. The goal of this research is to find relation between service recovery and intention to re-purchase on kids customer at McDonalds. Data collected by interviewing 147 respondent. This research find out that the effort on service recovery had succeed on decrease dissatisfied that feel by kid customer, even more, it increase kids intention to re-purchase. The benefit of service recovery is higher than the cost spending in recovery effort. Based on that researcher recommend to keep on giving the recovery in a service if a failure occur.

Abstract

A competition in business  is like a never ending war. Market competitions arc getting  tighter  in every single aspect. Many efforts had been done to win  the battle. This one called Red Ocean  Strategy, where every player tries hard  to compete and beat the competition.  The winner still has  to survive  their position in the existing market,  to keep away from being shadowed  by the competitor.  The term Blue Ocean  sounds new, but its existence is not.  lt is a feature of business  life, past and present. value  innovation is the cornerstone of blue ocean strategy.  The core of this paper  is about  the analytical  tools and frameworks  of blue ocean strategy which are The Strategy Canvas, The Four Actions Framework and The Eliminate-Reduce-Rai*-Create Grid.

Abstract

ABSTRAKIndonesia menduduki peringkat 94 dari 137 negara berdasarkan laporan Global Entrepreneurship Index /GEI serta memperoleh peringkat ke-75 dengan score GEI 26.0 pada tahun 2019. Universitas KatolikParahyangan sebagai salah satu konfigurasi ekosistem wirausaha dari segi education system turutberperan dalam menghasilkan jumlah wirausahawan guna meningkatkan pertumbuhan ekonomi diIndonesia, khususnya Jawa Barat. Program Pengembangan Kewirausahaan (PPK) berbasis teknologiuntuk mahasiswa dan alumni di Universitas Katolik Parahyangan sangat diharapkan dapat meningkatkanjumlah wirausaha baru. PPK ini melakukan pembinaan dalam bentuk pelatihan, coaching, dan mentoringguna membina para wirausahawan baru maupun yang sudah berjalan beberapa tahun untuk mengasahentrepreneurial attitudes, entrepreneurial abilities dan entrepreneurial aspirations by individuals.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif karena sesuai untuk diaplikasikan dalam programpengembangan kewirausahaan mahasiswa dan alumni; dimana secara esensi, penelitian kualitatifmenemukan fenomena-fenomena pada saat pengembangan dan pelaksanaan PPK. PPK melakukan prosespendampingan coaching dan mentoring menggunakan design thinking oleh mentor yang merupakanpraktisi dan akademisi yang kompeten pada proses inovasi. PPK mahasiswa dan alumni UNPARmendapatkan proses peningkatan dalam hal entrepreneurial attitudes dengan peningkatan persepsi mengenai peluang usaha (opportunity perceptions) yang diberikan para narasumber saat training, jugasaat pelaksanaan coaching dan mentoring. Abstract

ABSTRACT Responding to policies issued by the government through the Ministry of Education and Culture on the learning process during the pandemic, universities adjusted every form of tridharma activities held, including community service activities. One of the cooperation activities between Parahyangan Catholic University and Astra through the Kampung Berseri Astra program in its implementation also needs to be adjusted. One out of some capacity building activities by  the community service team at BUMDes Maju, Bumdes Jiwa Ilir and BUMDes Bermuda in Indramayu Regency is through the implementation of online training on financial literacy. Participants consisted of BUMDes managers, SMEs and residents from Ujunggebang Village, Ilir Village and Kedokanagung Village. Because the activities were carried out online, some participants also came from students and MSMEs in West Java. The enthusiasm of the participants was reflected in the activeness during the training session, the number of comment responses and questions submitted through chat boxes during the activity, as well as the many requests to deepen the discussion at the next training. Based on this experience, in the future it is possible to carry out blended community service activities by combining face-to-face and cyber-face methods, tailored to the availability of resources and objectives of activities. Training on financial technology can be proposed as material in the next period mentoring program.   Keywords: Financial Literacy, Online Training, Capacity Building, and Financial Life Skills  ABSTRAK Menyikapi kebijakan yang dikeluarkan pemerintah melalui Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan tentang proses pembelajaran selama masa pandemi, perguruan tinggi menyesuaikan setiap bentuk kegiatan tridharma yang diselenggarakan, termasuk kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat. Salah satu kegiatan kerjasama antara Universitas Katolik Parahyangan dan Astra melalui program Kampung Berseri Astra dalam pelaksanaannya juga perlu disesuaikan. Salah satu bentuk kegiatan peningkatan kapasitas yang dilakukan tim pengabdi pada BUMDes Maju, Bumdes Jiwa Ilir dan BUMDes Bermuda di Kabupaten Indramayu adalah melalui penyelenggaraan pelatihan daring tentang literasi keuangan. Peserta terdiri dari pengelola BUMDES, UKM dan warga dari Desa Ujunggebang, Desa Ilir dan Desa Kedokanagung. Karena kegiatan dilaksanakan secara daring, sebagian peserta juga berasal dari mahasiswa dan UMKM di Jawa Barat.  Antusiasme para peserta tercermin keaktifan selama sesi pelatihan, banyaknya respon komentar dan pertanyaan yang disampaikan melalui chat box selama kegiatan berlangsung, serta banyaknya permintaan untuk memperdalam pembahasan pada pelatihan berikutnya. Berdasarkan pengalaman ini, maka di masa mendatang sangat dimungkinkan untuk dapat melaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat dengan cara menggabungkan metode tatap muka dan tatap maya, disesuaikan dengan ketersediaan sumberdaya dan tujuan kegiatan. Abstract

Micro, small, and medium-sized firms (MSMEs) are required to be highly competitive so that they may thrive in unpredictable markets and contribute to economic growth despite several challenges such as financing, market access, innovation, and productivity. Through the Sustaining Competitive and Responsible Enterprises (SCORE) program at Parahyangan Catholic University, Batch 6, the writing team provided training (workshops) and mentoring (coaching) to MSMEs in Bandung Regency. The major goal of the SCORE program is to help SMEs in Bandung Regency enhance their competitiveness so that they may use their own resources to achieve productivity and expand their competitive edge. The workshop program is implemented with topics such as teamwork and communication, increasing business productivity, financial records, determining the cost of goods sold (HPP), the use of promotional media, and increasing marketing understanding, while personal assistance is provided through visits to MSME production sites at least three times during the program. At the end of the program, there was a rise in MSMEs' development, indicating that 100% of MSMEs had participated in the provision and execution of information boards, HPP calculations, product innovation, and optimization of social media as a promotional medium. This success can help SMEs grow their capabilities, particularly in tackling some of the issues they confront, such as marketing, productivity, accounting, and budgetary restraints. With the settlement of these issues, the next step in strengthening the competitiveness of SMEs, aided by SCORE UNPAR in Bandung Regency, may be taken.
