Abstract

The gap between higher education graduates who are ready to use and those accepted to work in the industrial world shows that there is a problem between the link and match between higher education and industry. The Ministry of Education and Culture calls for curriculums that are not in line with industry needs to be corrected. The low competency and skills of graduates become a source of problems with the absorption of higher education graduates. In addition to the acceleration of technology, especially in the field of digitalization which has developed rapidly during the Covid-19 pandemic, it has encouraged the development of Vocational Education as a national issue. The community service carried out by the UNPAR Vocational Program in 2023 is intended to answer these challenges by providing vocational training to several high school and vocational school students and teachers. Through this community service activity, with practical materials such as digital administration offices, entrepreneurship, digital marketing, simple financial recording, and e-sport management; has proven to be able to help students and teachers because it can be implemented immediately. Vocational Education as an alternative to further study in higher education is expected to continue to develop its learning materials and make new breakthroughs or innovation so that its existence can be recognized by the community especially students, parents, and teachers in high school or vocational schools. In this way, the problem of link-match between graduates and workforce qualifications needed in the industry can be more well-connected and appropriate.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Responding to policies issued by the government through the Ministry of Education and Culture on the learning process during the pandemic, universities adjusted every form of tridharma activities held, including community service activities. One of the cooperation activities between Parahyangan Catholic University and Astra through the Kampung Berseri Astra program in its implementation also needs to be adjusted. One out of some capacity building activities by  the community service team at BUMDes Maju, Bumdes Jiwa Ilir and BUMDes Bermuda in Indramayu Regency is through the implementation of online training on financial literacy. Participants consisted of BUMDes managers, SMEs and residents from Ujunggebang Village, Ilir Village and Kedokanagung Village. Because the activities were carried out online, some participants also came from students and MSMEs in West Java. The enthusiasm of the participants was reflected in the activeness during the training session, the number of comment responses and questions submitted through chat boxes during the activity, as well as the many requests to deepen the discussion at the next training. Based on this experience, in the future it is possible to carry out blended community service activities by combining face-to-face and cyber-face methods, tailored to the availability of resources and objectives of activities. Training on financial technology can be proposed as material in the next period mentoring program.   Keywords: Financial Literacy, Online Training, Capacity Building, and Financial Life Skills  ABSTRAK Menyikapi kebijakan yang dikeluarkan pemerintah melalui Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan tentang proses pembelajaran selama masa pandemi, perguruan tinggi menyesuaikan setiap bentuk kegiatan tridharma yang diselenggarakan, termasuk kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat. Salah satu kegiatan kerjasama antara Universitas Katolik Parahyangan dan Astra melalui program Kampung Berseri Astra dalam pelaksanaannya juga perlu disesuaikan. Salah satu bentuk kegiatan peningkatan kapasitas yang dilakukan tim pengabdi pada BUMDes Maju, Bumdes Jiwa Ilir dan BUMDes Bermuda di Kabupaten Indramayu adalah melalui penyelenggaraan pelatihan daring tentang literasi keuangan. Peserta terdiri dari pengelola BUMDES, UKM dan warga dari Desa Ujunggebang, Desa Ilir dan Desa Kedokanagung. Karena kegiatan dilaksanakan secara daring, sebagian peserta juga berasal dari mahasiswa dan UMKM di Jawa Barat.  Antusiasme para peserta tercermin keaktifan selama sesi pelatihan, banyaknya respon komentar dan pertanyaan yang disampaikan melalui chat box selama kegiatan berlangsung, serta banyaknya permintaan untuk memperdalam pembahasan pada pelatihan berikutnya. Berdasarkan pengalaman ini, maka di masa mendatang sangat dimungkinkan untuk dapat melaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat dengan cara menggabungkan metode tatap muka dan tatap maya, disesuaikan dengan ketersediaan sumberdaya dan tujuan kegiatan. Pelatihan tentang financial technology dapat diusulkan sebagai materi pada program pendampingan periode selanjutnya.  Kata Kunci: Literasi Keuangan, Pelatihan Daring, Peningkatan Kapasitas, dan Financial Life          Skill

Abstract

Indonesia memiliki literasi keuangan yang tergolong rendah , hal ini berdasarkan pada survei terbaru dari Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK) yang dilakukan pada tahun 2022. Kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk membekali remaja rentang usia 10 – 19 tahun sehingga menguasai pemahaman yang memadai mengenai keterampilan hidup berbasis keuangan (financial life skill) yang akan berguna bagi para pelajar SMP hingga mahasiswa yang berada di rentang usia di dunia kerja yang akan dimasukan dalam waktu dekat setelah lulus sekolah. Pelatihan ini menggunakan zoom berbentuk webinar untuk memberikan wawasan dan pengetahuan mengenai pentingnya literasi keuangan. Jumlah peserta yang mengikuti kegiatan ini berjumlah 700 orang melalui zoom dan 2.600 melalui youtube channel. Pelatihan ini memberikan dampak yang positif dengan semakin meningkatnya pengetahuan tentang literasi keuangan dan pentingnya menabung sejak usia dini.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have consistently demonstrated their resilience and ability to navigate economic downturns, as evidenced by their pivotal role during the COVID-19 pandemic and the 1998 economic crisis. However, the SMERU Research Institute's 2023 report highlights several obstacles hindering MSMEs' capacity development. These include a reluctance to step out of their comfort zones and challenges in accessing appropriate capital sources. Moreover, limited business management knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements, such as tax compliance and product certification, pose significant barriers to MSME growth and competitiveness. To address these challenges, the Sustaining Competitive and Responsible Enterprise (SCORE) program, in collaboration with SCORE FLS and FIFGROUP, has implemented comprehensive training and mentoring initiatives. These programs aim to enhance the capacity building of MSMEs by focusing on both technical skills and strategic development. For MSMEs receiving revolving funds, financial literacy training is integrated to complement the overall capacity-building efforts. By equipping MSMEs with the necessary skills and resources, these initiatives seek to empower them to compete effectively in the global market and adapt to evolving economic conditions. This strategic approach is expected to contribute significantly to the overall resilience and growth of the MSME sector, fostering a more inclusive and dynamic economy. Keywords: Capacity building, competitive, life skills, sustainability. Abstrak Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) telah membuktikan diri sebagai pilar utama perekonomian Indonesia. Ketahanan UMKM terlihat jelas saat menghadapi krisis moneter 1998 dan pandemi COVID-19. Namun, di balik ketangguhannya, UMKM juga menghadapi sejumlah tantangan yang menghambat pertumbuhan dan pengembangannya. Salah satu kendala utama adalah minimnya motivasi pelaku UMKM untuk berinovasi dan meningkatkan kapasitas usahanya. Kecenderungan untuk mempertahankan kondisi yang sudah ada dan terbatasnya akses terhadap sumber pendanaan menjadi hambatan signifikan. Selain itu, kurangnya pengetahuan manajemen bisnis, ketidakpahaman terhadap regulasi, serta kesulitan memenuhi standar kualitas produk untuk memasuki pasar ekspor juga menjadi tantangan tersendiri. Untuk mengatasi tantangan tersebut, program Sustaining Competitive and Responsible Enterprise (SCORE) hadir sebagai solusi yang komprehensif. Dilaksanakan oleh SCORE FLS dan FIFGROUP, program ini menawarkan pelatihan dan pendampingan yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas UMKM dalam berbagai aspek. Fokus utama program SCORE adalah pada pengembangan strategi bisnis yang efektif, penguatan tata kelola perusahaan, serta peningkatan keterampilan teknis para pelaku UMKM. Dengan pendekatan yang holistik, SCORE berupaya memberikan bekal yang lengkap bagi UMKM, mulai dari pengetahuan bisnis hingga keterampilan manajerial. Pelatihan yang diberikan tidak hanya mencakup aspek teknis, tetapi juga pengembangan soft skills seperti kepemimpinan, komunikasi, dan kemampuan beradaptasi yang sangat penting dalam dunia bisnis yang dinamis. Program SCORE diharapkan dapat memberikan dampak positif yang signifikan bagi pertumbuhan dan pengembangan UMKM di Indonesia. Dengan meningkatkan kapasitas UMKM, diharapkan sektor ini dapat berkontribusi lebih besar terhadap perekonomian nasional, menciptakan lapangan kerja baru, dan mengurangi ketimpangan. Abstract

Technological development is one of the important factors in the process of purchasing decisions that affect consumer spending patterns. These changes are not just happening in Indonesia, but apply globally. The availability of high-speed internet connections, as well as the consumer's receipt of the presence of the power of social media and the number of online offerings increasingly attractive, support very well the growth of online business. This research aims to study the consumer behavior changes in the digital age. Data collection is done with a qualitative approach in the form of focus group discussion and depth interviews in several cities in Indonesia. Research results are applied as the basis for consideration for Small Medium Enterprises in conducting its marketing strategies adaptation in order to be sustainable in the digital age.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan literasi menabung di kalangan remaja SMA Pahlawan Toha Bandung. Studi ini penting dilakukan mengingat rendahnya tingkat literasi keuangan dan kebiasaan menabung di kalangan remaja Indonesia. Metode pengabdian masyarakat menggunakan Community Based research dengan mengumpulkan data dan menganalisa permasalahan yang terjadi di pelajar SMA . Hasil analisa data menunjukkan bahwa siswa SMA memiliki kebiasaan menabung rendah sehingga diberikan materi mengenai kebiasaan menabung sejak remaja. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa meskipun sebagian kecil siswa SMA Pahlawan Toha Bandung memiliki kesadaran akan pentingnya menabung, masih diperlukan upaya lebih lanjut untuk meningkatkan kebiasaan menabung mereka. Rekomendasi meliputi peningkatan edukasi finansial di sekolah, program mentoring keuangan, dan kolaborasi dengan lembaga keuangan untuk memfasilitasi akses ke produk tabungan yang sesuai untuk remaja.

Abstract

Financial Life Skills (FLS) training is a participatory program and collaboration between USAID and the government of the Republic of Indonesia through the Youthwin Through Economic Participant Project (Yep Project). The Financial Life Skills training program also plays a role in contributing to financial literacy awareness for the community, especially the younger generation. The FLS training service method using the experiential learning cycle (ELC) training method. The trainer and participants will engage interactively through various activities such as simulations, role-plays, filling out worksheets, questions, and answer discussions. The ELC method is suitable for FLS training because participants' skills are not enough to hear and see, but participants can first experience training activities. At the end of the training, participants can experience changes in knowledge and attitude as provisions for changing behavior future. Based on the results of participant evaluation, this training provides benefits for the younger generation to become a generation that is productive and smart in managing finances to live prosperously in the future.
