Abstract

The aims of the study were to determine the effect of combination of banana weevil flour (BWF) and moringa leaves flour (MLF) as substitute of corn on colour, flavour and tenderness of broiler meat. Completely Randomize Design was used with 4 treatments and 4 replicates. The treatments were as fllow : R0. Diet without combination of BWF and MLF; R1. Diet with 17% combination of BWF and MLF as substitution of corn; R2. Diet with 25,5% combination of BWF and MLF as substitution of corn; and R3. Diet with 34% combination of BWF and MLF as substitution of corn. Organoleptic tests was used to determine color and flavour of the meat based on Hedonic Scale scores, while Warner Bratzler Shear was used to determine meat tenderness or breaking power shear. The results of the analysis of non-parametric test (Kruskal Wallis test) showed thad teh effect of combination BWf and MLF were not significant (P>0.05) on organoleptic value of broiler meat. It is concluded that combination BWF and MLF as substitution of corn can be used up to 34% in broiler ration for organoleptically the meat quality produced were acceptable. ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah : untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian kombinasi tepung bonggol pisang dan tepung daun kelor sebagai pengganti jagung dalam ransum terhadap warna, rasa , dan keempukan daging ayam broiler. Untuk melihat pengaruh perlakuan, dilakukan pengukuran terhadap beberapa variabel, yaitu warna, rasa dan keempukan daging ayam broiler. Perlakuan yang dibrikan adalah sebagai berikut: R0 pemberian pakan tanpa menggabungkan tepung bngol pisang dan tepung daun kelor, R1 pemberian pakan dengan 17% kombinasi dari tepung bongol pisang dan tepung daun kelor sebagai pengganti jagung, R2 pemberian pakan dengan 25,5% kombinasi dari tepung bongol pisang dan tepung daun kelor sebagai pengganti jagung dan R3 pemberian pakan dengan 34% kombinasi dari tepung bongol pisang dan tepung daun kelor sebagai pengganti jagun. Uji organoleptik untuk variabel warna dan rasa dinilai dengan menggunakan skor skala hedonic, sedangkan pengujian keempukan atau daya putus (shear) daging dilakukan dengan menggunakan alat Warner Bratzler Shear . Hasil analisis uji non parametrik (uji Kruskal Wallis) menunjukan bahwa pengaruh penambahan tepung bonggol pisang dan tepung daun kelor tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap nilai organoleptik (warna, rasa dan keempukan) daging ayam broiler. Disimpulkan bawah kombinasi dari tepung bonggol pisang dan tepung daun kelor sebagai pengganti jagung bisa digunakan lebih dari 34% secara organoleptik dapat diterima oleh konsumen.

Abstract

This research had been carried out in poultry house of Animal Science, The Universitas of Nusa Cendana for five weeks consisted of one week adaptation period and four weeks datta collection. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of fermented Chromolaena odorata meal as substitution of soyabean meal in broiler ration on percentage of abdominal fat and blood collesterol rate of broiler. The research design used was Completely Randomized Design with four treatments and four replicates. The treatments were as follow: R0. Ration without fermented white flower, R1. Ration with 20% fermented Chromolaena odorata as substitution of soyabean meal; R2. Ration with 40% fermented Chromolaena odorata as substitution of soyabean meal; and R3. Ration with 60% fermented Chromolaena odorata as substitution of soyabean meal. The results of statistical analysis showed that the use of fermented Chromolaena odorata meal as substitution of soyabean meal had no significant effect (P>0.05) on both percentage of abdominal fat and cholesterol level of broiler. However, the use of fermented Chromolaena odorata meal as substitution of soyabean meal had a significant effect ( P<0,05) on either High Density Lopoprotein (HDL) or Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL). ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan tepung daun semak bunga putih (Chromolaena odorata) terfermentasi sebagai pengganti kacang kedelai dalam pakan terhadap persentase lemak abdominal dan kadar kolesterol darah ayam broiler. Ternak yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah ayam broiler (DOC) Starin Abor CP 707, PT. Charoen Phokphand Jaya Farma Surabaya. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan menggunakan 4 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Ransum yang digunakan terdiri dari jagung, dedak padi, dedak gandum, bungkil kelapa, kacang kedelai, tepung daun semak bunga putih terfermentasi, tepung ikan, minyak kelapa dengan formula sebagai berikut: R0 = Ransum tanpa tepung daun semak bunga putih ; R1 = Ransum yang mengandung 20% TDSBPT sebagai pengganti kacang kedelai ; R2 = Ransum yang mengandung 40% TDSBPT sebagai pengganti kacang kedelai ; R3 = Ransum yang mengandung 60% TDSBPT sebagai pengganti kacang kedelai; Variabel yang diukur antara lain persentase lemak abdominal, kolesterol, HDL dan LDL. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan tepung semak bunga putih sebagai pengganti kacang kedelai dalam ransum memberikan pengaruh yang tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap persentase lemak abdominal, kadar kolesterol namun berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) pada High Density Lipoprotein (HDL) dan Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL).

Abstract

The aims of this study were to determine the effect of pumpkin flour, moringa leaf flour and coconut oil combination as a corn substitution on feed intake, daily weight gain and feed conversion of broiler. 80 DOC broiler chickens were randomly allotted in a completely randomized design with four treatments and four replicates. The four treatments used in this experiment were: R0: 60% corn + 40% concentrate; R1: 55% corn + 40% concentrate + 5% pumpkin flour, moringa leaf flour and coconut oil combination; R2: 50% corn + 40% concentrate + 10% pumpkin flour, moringa leaf flour and coconut oil combination; R3: 45% corn + 40% concentrate + 15%. pumpkin flour, moringa leaf flour and coconut oil combination. Variables measured were feed intake, daily weight gain and feed convertion. Data obtained were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). There were no significant differences between treatments on feed intake, daily weight gain and feed conversion observed in this study. Therefore, it can be concluded that the administration of pumpkin flour, moringa leaf flour and coconut oil combination in the ration is able to maintain the performance of broiler. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kombinasi tepung labu kuning, tepung daun kelor dan minyak kelapa sebagai pengganti jagung terhadap konsumsi ransum, pertambahan bobot badan dan konversi ransum ayam broiler. Materi penelitian yang digunakan adalah (DOC) ayam broiler sebanyak 80 ekor. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode percobaan dengan menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah R0: Jagung 60% + Konsentrat 40% (ransum kontrol) R1: Jagung 55% + Konsentrat 40% + kombinasi tepung labu kuning, daun kelor dan minyak kelapa 5%. R2: Jagung 50% + Konsentrat 40% + kombinasi tepung labu kuning, daun kelor dan minyak kelapa 10%. R3: Jagung 45% + Konsentrat 40% + kombinasi tepung labu kuning, daun kelor dan minyak kelapa 15%. Variabel yang diteliti adalah konsumsi ransum, pertambahan bobot badan dan konversi ransum ayam broiler. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis varians (ANOVA). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap konsumsi ransum, pertambahan bobot badan dan konversi ransum. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian kombinasi tepung labu kuning, tepung daun kelor dan minyak kelapa dalam ransum mampu mempertahankan penampilan produksi ayam broiler.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Larvae supplementation on feed intake, body weight gain and feed conversion of native chicken. Sixty four- 4 weeks old native chicken were used in this study following a completely randomized design with four treatments and four replicates. The treatments offered were L0: Commercial diet 100%; L1: Commercial diet 75% + Larvae served ad libitum, L2: Commercial diet, 50% + larvae served ad libitum. L3: Commercial diet, 25% + larvae served ad libitum. Variables measured were feed intake, body weight gain and feed conversion. The results showed that inclusion of larvae to commercial diet (P <0,05) increased body weight gain of native chicken with the highest values for L1 (13,04 gram/head/day) compared to the other of treatments. Feed intake was not affected by the treatments. However, feed conversion ratio of the native chicken became poorer as the level of commercial diet declined. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian larva yang berasal dari feses sapi terhadap konsumsi ransum, pertambahan bobot badan dan konversi ransum ayam buras. Penelitian ini digunakan 64 ekor ayam buras berumur 4 minggu. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan 4 ulangan sehingga terdapat 16 unit percobaan. Perlakuan yang dicobakan adalah L0: Ransum komersial 100%, L1: Ransum Komersial 75% + Larva secara ad libitum, L2: Ransum komersial 50% + Larva secara ad libitum, L3: Ransum komersial 25% + Larva secara ad libitum. Variabel yang diukur antara lain konsumsi ransum, pertambahan bobot badan dan konversi ransum. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penggunaan Larva segar secara ad libitum dan pakan komersial dari level 75%, 50% dan 25% memberikan pengaruh yang nyata (P<0,05) terhadap pertambahan bobot badan ayam buras dan paling tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan L1 sebesar 13.04 gram/ekor/hari dari perlakuan L2 dan L3. Pemberian larva feses sapi dan pakan komersial memberikan pengaruh tidak nyata pada konsumsi ransum ayam buras. Pemberian larva feses sapi dengan level pemberian ransum komersial yang semakin menurun mengakibatkan konversi ransum meningkat secara nyata pada ayam buras.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of giving a solution of binahong leaves (Anredera cordifolia) in drinking water on the physical quality of broiler chicken meat finisher phase. A total of 72 broiler chickens strain CP 707 produced by PT Charoen Phokphan Indonesia. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 6 replications. The treatments consisted of R0: drinking water without binahong leaf solution, R1: drinking water + 20 ml of binahong leaf solution/liter of water, R2: drinking water + 30 ml of binahong leaf solution/liter of water, R3: drinking water + 40 ml of binahong leaf solution / liter of water. The results of analysis of variance and Kruskal wallis showed that the treatment had no significant effect (P>0.05) on meat pH, water holding capacity, tenderness, and cooking loss of broiler chicken. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the addition of binahong leaf solution with a level of 20 mL/liter of water, 30 ml/liter of water, 40 ml/liter of water has not had and effect on the physical quality of the finisher phase broiler chicken meat.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui nilai ekonimis dari substitusi tepung feses sapi terfermentasi dalam pakan ayam KUB. Menggunakan 80 ekor ternak ayam KUB yang berusia sehari sebagai ternak perlakuan. Metode yang dipakai yaitu rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan yang dicoba adalah R0: pakan tanpa campuran tepung feses sapi terfermentasi (ransum kontrol), R1: pakan basal 90% + tepung feses sapi terfermentasi 10%, R2: pakan basal 80% + tepung feses sapi terfermentasi 20%, dan R3: pakan basal 70% + tepung feses sapi terfermentasi 30%. Parameter yang diukur adalah Income Over Feed Cost,, biaya produksi, penerimaan, keuntungan, serta break even point.  Hasil analisis ragam memperlihatkan bahwa perlakuan berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap nilai IOFC, penerimaan, keuntungan, BEP, serta berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01) terhadap biaya produksi. Pada pergantian level 10% adalah yang terbaik karena mampu meningkatkan nilai IOFC sebesar 3,43% yaitu dari RP53.752 menjadi Rp55.594, mampu menurunkan biaya total produksi sebesar 0,05%, mampu meningkatkan peneriaman 2,65%, mampu meningkatkan keuntungan menjadi Rp13.055,46 atau keuntungan meningkat sebesar 16,44%, serta BEP unit yaitu677,05ekor dan BEP rupiah sebesar Rp47.393.723dengan harga Rp70.000 per ekor maka peternak tidak mengalami keuntungan dan juga kerugian (impas).   The purpose of this study was to determine the economic value of substitution of fermented cow feces flour in KUB chicken feed. The material used is 80 KUB chickens of 1 day. The method used is completely randomized design consisting of 4 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments were R0: feed without a mixture of fermented cow feces flour (control ration), R1: 90% basal feed + 10% fermented cow feces flour, R2: 80% basal feed + 20% fermented cow feces flour, and R3: 70% basal feed + 30% fermented cow feces flour. The parameters measured are Income Over Feed Cost,, production costs, revenues, profits, and break even point.. The results of the analysis of variance showed that the treatment had a significant effect (P<0.05) on the value of IOFC, revenue, profit, BEP, and had a very significant effect (P<0.01) on production costs.At the 10% level turn is the best because it can increase the IOFC value by 3.43%, able to reduce the total cost of productionby 0,05%, able to increase revenueby 2,65%, able to profits increased by 16.44%, BEP units is 677.05 heads and rupiah BEP at Rp.47.393.723 at a price of Rp70.000 per head, so the breeder does not experience a profit or loss (break even).

Abstract

The research was carried out in the chicken house of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Marine and Fisheries, Nusa Cendana University, Kupang from April 7th 2023 to May 26th 2023. The aim of this research was to examine the effect of administering Moringa oleifera leaf extract in drinking water on broiler chicken carcass production. This research used 96 DOC broiler chickens of the CP 707 strain. The experimental design used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 6 replications, each replication consisting of 4 broiler chickens. The treatments given were P0= drinking water without moringa leaf extract (control), P1= 40 ml moringa leaf extract/l drinking water, P2= 80 ml moringa leaf extract/l drinking water, P3= 120 ml moringa leaf extract/l drinking water. The variables studied were final body weight, carcass percentage, non-carcass percentage and abdominal fat. The results of statistical analysis show that moringa leaf extract at levels of 0, 40, 80 and 120 ml/l of drinking water did not have a significant effect (P>0.05) on final body weight, percentage of carcass and non-carcass percentage of broiler chickens, but increased the percentage of abdominal fat significantly (P<0.05). Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the use of Moringa oleifera leaf in drinking water up to a level of 120ml/l drinking water can increase the percentage of abdominal fat but did not change the final body weight, carcass percentage and non-carcass percentage of broiler chickens.

Abstract

The experimen aims to examine the response of providing sorghum flour as a substitute for corn flour on carcass and non-carcass production of broiler chickens. The experimen was carried out in the livestock workshop pen for five weeks starting from February 20 to March 26 2024. This exploration design used a RAL design consisting of four treatments and was repeated 5 times for each treatment, making 20 experimental units. The research treatment was P0:54% corn in the ration without sorghum as a control. P1: 25% sorghum as a substitute for corn in the ration, P2: 50% sorghum as a substitute for corn in the ration, P3: 75% sorghum substitute for corn in the ration. The ANOVA results show that the response to giving sorghum flour as a substitute for corn flour in the ration of grower phase broiler chickens was significantly significant (P<0.05) in the non-carcass percentage and not significant (P>0.05) in the final body weight, carcass percentage, and percentage abdominal fat. It was concluded that sorghum could replace 75% of the portion of corn used in rations. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji respon pemberian tepung sorgum subtitusi tepung jagung pada produksi karkas dan non karkas ayam broiler. Penelitian dilaksanakan di kandang workshop peternakan selama lima minggu terhitung dari tanggal 20 Februari sampai dengan 26 Maret 2024. Percobaan menggunakan rancangan rancangan acak lengkap, terdiri atas empat perlakuan dan diulang 5 kali tiap perlakuan jadi 20 unit percobaan. Perlakuan penelitian yaitu P0:54% jagung dalam ransum tanpa sorgum sebagai kontrol. P1: 25% sorgum sebagai pengganti jagung dalam ransum, P2: 50 % sorgum sebagai pengganti jagung dalam ransum, P3: 75 % sorgum subtitusi jagung dalam ransum. Hasil anova terlihat respon pemberian tepung sorgum sebagai pengganti tepung jagung dalam ransum ayam broiler fase grower nyata signifikan (P<0,05) pada persentase non karkas dan tidak signifikan(P>0,05) pada bobot badan akhir, persentase karkas, dan persentase lemak abdominal. Disimpulkan bahwa sorgum dapat mengganti 75% dari porsi penggunaan jagung dalam ransum.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian tempe dedak, tape dedak dan kombinasinya terhadap kualitas fisik daging ayam broiler. Penelitian ini menggunakan 96 ekor ayam broiler umur 21 hari. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode percobaan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), dengan 4 perlakuan dan 6 ulangan. Perlakuan tersebut adalah R0: 20% dedak padi (kontrol), R1: 20% tempe dedak, R2: 20% tape dedak, dan R3: 10% tempe dedak, 10% tape dedak. Variabel yang diukur adalah pH, daya ikat air, susut masak, dan keempukan. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukan bahwa perlakuan tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap semua variable penelitian. Disimpulan bahwa pemberian tempe dedak, tape dedak dan kombinasinya memberikan pengaruh yang sama terhadap kualitas fisik daging ayam broiler

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the effect of giving tempe bran tape bran and its combination on the performance of broiler chickens in the finisher period. This research used 96 CP 707 strain broiler chickens aged 21 days. This research method used a Completely Randomized Design with 4 treatments and 6 replications and each replication consisted of 4 broiler chickens. The treatments tried were R0: basal ration + 20 % rice bran (control), R1: basal ration + 20 % tempe bran, R2: basal ration + 20 % tape bran , R3: basal ration + combination of 10 % tempe bran and 10 % tape bran. The variables measured were feed consumption, body weight gain, feed. The results of the study showed that giving tempeh bran, tape bran and their combination had a significant effect (P<0.05) on body weight gain, feed consumption and feed conversion of broiler chickens in the finisher period. It was concluded that the best performance was obtained by broiler chickens that received a combination treatment of 10% tempe bran and 10% tape bran in the ration (R3) in terms of consumption, body weight gain and ration conversion finisher phase broiler chickens.
