Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh substitusi tepung jagung dengan tepung sorgum terhadap kualitas fisik ayam broiler fase finisher. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan empat perlakuan dan lima ulangan. Dalam perlakuan terdiri dari satu jenis ransum perlakuan yaitu fase finisher, P0: 100% jagung dalam ransum sebagai kontrol, P1: 25% tepung sorgum substitusi tepung jagung dalam ransum, P2: 50% tepung sorgum substitusi tepung jagung dalam ransum, P3:75% tepung sorgum substitusi tepung jagung dalam ransum. Parameter yang diamati meliputi pH, susut masak daging, daya ikat air dan keempukan daging. Hasil analisis sidik ragam menunjukan bahwa pengaruh pemberian tepung sorgum sebagai substitusi tepung jagung terhadap kualitas fisik ayam broiler fase finisher berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,001) terhadap susut masak daging, dan tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap pH, daya ikat air dan keempukan daging. Disimpulkan bahwa pemberian tepung sorgum dengan taraf 0-75% dapat memberikan pengaruh yang sama terhadap pH, daya ikat air dan keempukan daging, namun dapat menurunkan nilai susut masak daging ayam broiler fase finisher dengan nilai susut masak terbaik berada di perlakuan P3 (75% tepung sorgum dalam ransum). Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the effects of three commercial feed types (P1, P2, P3) and two broiler chicken strains (A and B), as well as their interaction, on broiler growth performance. A 2x3 factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) was applied, using 96 broiler chickens divided into 6 treatment combinations with 4 replications. The observed parameters included body weight gain (BWG), feed consumption, feed conversion ratio (FCR), and final body weight. Data were analyzed using ANOVA with SPSS 25. The results indicated no significant interaction (P>0.05) between feed types and chicken strains on all measured parameters. The average BWG, feed consumption, FCR, and final body weight showed no significant differences among the treatments. In conclusion, the three commercial feeds and two chicken strains produced similar growth performance in 35-day-old broilers.

Abstract

Eksplorasi dengan tujuan untuk mengkaji respon jenis ransum yang berbeda dan dua strain ayam broiler serta interaksi kedua faktor tersebut terhadap organ dalam (bobot relatif tembolok, gizzard, usus halus dan panjang usus halus) ayam broiler. Eksplorasi dilakukan dari Januari –Februari 2024. Penelitian ini menggunakan sebanyak 96 ekor ayam broiler (48 ekor strain A dan 48 ekor strain B). Eksplorasi gunakan rancangan acak lengkap pola faktorial. Faktor pertama terdiri dari 2 strain ayam A dan strain ayam B dan faktor kedua jenis ransum (P1, P2, dan P3). Setiap kombinasi perlakuan diulang 4. Parameter diukur bobot relatif tembolok, gizzard, usus halus dan panjang usus halus. Hasil eksplorasi ini terlihat (1) Tidak ada interaksi (P>0,05) faktor A dan faktor B  pada bobot relatif tembolok, gizzard, usus halus dan panjang usus halus, (2) faktor A tidak signifikan (P>0,05) pada bobot relatif tembolok, gizzard, usus halus dan panjang usus halus, (3) Strain ayam A maupun B tidak signifikan (P>0,05) pada bobot relatif tembolok, gizzard, usus halus dan panjang usus halus. Simpulan, jenis ransum komersial yang berbeda dapat diberikan pada ayam strain A maupun strain B tanpa memberikan pengaruh terhadap bobot organ dalam.   Kata kunci: Ayam broiler, Jenis pakan, Organ internal, Strain

Abstract

Purpose: This activity aimed to address low kampung chicken production in Liliba district, Kupang City, NTT, and farmers' limited knowledge of using hatching machines. The goal was to increase chicken and egg production through training in incubator use to meet the local demand for chicken meat.Method: Training was provided to three groups of farmers, each consisting of five participants, focusing on using egg hatching machines. The farmers were trained and guided until proficient in machine use.Practical Applications: The use of hatching machines increased chicken production by 80%, improving breeding cycles, chick survival rates, and egg quality. This approach made farming more efficient and sustainable.Conclusion: The activity successfully improved farmers' skills in using hatching machines, accelerating kampung chicken production, and enhancing chick quality to meet local demands.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effect of giving faloak bark solution in drinking water on feed intake, water intake, daily weight gain and feed conversion ratio . This study used a complete randomized design consisting of 4 treatments and 5 replications, of wich had 5 chickens. The treatments given were R0 = without the addition of faloak bark solution in drinking water, R1=1 ml of faloak bark solution/l drinking water, R2= 1.5 ml of faloak bark solution/l drinking water, R3=2 ml of faloak bark solution/l drinking water. The variables measured of the study included feed intake, water intake, daily weight gain and feed conversion ratio. The results of statistical analysis showed that the administration of faloak solution in drinking water had not effect (P>0.05) on feed intake, water intake, daily weight gain and feed conversion ratio. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the administration of faloak bark solution up to 2 ml / l of drinking water has not effected feed intake, water intake, daily weight gain and feed conversion ratio.

Abstract

The research was carried out in the chicken house of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Marine and Fisheries, Nusa Cendana University, Kupang from April 7th 2023 to May 26th 2023. The aim of this research was to examine the effect of administering Moringa oleifera leaf extract in drinking water on broiler chicken carcass production. This research used 96 DOC broiler chickens of the CP 707 strain. The experimental design used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 6 replications, each replication consisting of 4 broiler chickens. The treatments given were P0= drinking water without moringa leaf extract (control), P1= 40 ml moringa leaf extract/l drinking water, P2= 80 ml moringa leaf extract/l drinking water, P3= 120 ml moringa leaf extract/l drinking water. The variables studied were final body weight, carcass percentage, non-carcass percentage and abdominal fat. The results of statistical analysis show that moringa leaf extract at levels of 0, 40, 80 and 120 ml/l of drinking water did not have a significant effect (P>0.05) on final body weight, percentage of carcass and non-carcass percentage of broiler chickens, but increased the percentage of abdominal fat significantly (P<0.05). Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the use of Moringa oleifera leaf in drinking water up to a level of 120ml/l drinking water can increase the percentage of abdominal fat but did not change the final body weight, carcass percentage and non-carcass percentage of broiler chickens.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian tempe dedak, tape dedak dan kombinasinya terhadap kualitas fisik daging ayam broiler. Penelitian ini menggunakan 96 ekor ayam broiler umur 21 hari. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode percobaan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), dengan 4 perlakuan dan 6 ulangan. Perlakuan tersebut adalah R0: 20% dedak padi (kontrol), R1: 20% tempe dedak, R2: 20% tape dedak, dan R3: 10% tempe dedak, 10% tape dedak. Variabel yang diukur adalah pH, daya ikat air, susut masak, dan keempukan. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukan bahwa perlakuan tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap semua variable penelitian. Disimpulan bahwa pemberian tempe dedak, tape dedak dan kombinasinya memberikan pengaruh yang sama terhadap kualitas fisik daging ayam broiler

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh pakan mengandung feses sapi terfermentasi terhadap potongan primal karkas (dada, paha, sayap, dan punggung) ayam KUB. Penelitian ini telah dilakukan dari tanggal 12 Maretl sampai dengan 18 Juni 2024. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan dengan total ayam KUB yang digunakan 100 ekor. Perlakuan meliputi : R0 = 100% pakan komersil (kontrol), R1=90% pakan komersil + 10% feses sapi terfermentasi, R2= 80% pakan komersil + 20% feses sapi terfermentasi, R3= 70% pakan komersil + 30% feses sapi terfermentasi. Variabel yang diukur adalah bobot dan persentase dari dada, paha, sayap, dan punggung. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan analisis ragam dan apabila terdapat pengaruh perlakuan akan dilanjutkan dengan uji jarak berganda duncan, untuk melihat perbedaan di antara perlakuan. Hasil yang didapat menunjukkan perlakuan berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap potongan primal karkas. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini bahwa pemberian pakan mengandung feses sapi terfermentasi sampai pada level 30% tidak mempengaruhi bobot dan persentase dari potongan primal karkas ayam KUB
