Abstract

This Community Service Activity aimed to provide knowledge and understanding about preventing and taking action against Domestic Violence in Sampuabalo Village, Buton Regency. It is hoped that this activity will be able to provide legal awareness about how to prevent and take action against domestic violence. The methods for carrying out activities were counseling, lectures and discussions. The results of the implementation of thiscommunity service activities showed that there are efforts to increase public knowledge and awareness, one of which is in the form of legal education to the Sampuabalo Village Community and the participants who attended were dominated by people who were married, and the participants looked very enthusiastic and the community even hoped for further legal education so that they could increase their knowledge about law.

Abstract

This Community Service aims to provide knowledge and understanding about preventing and dealing with domestic violence in Sampuabalo mur Village, Buton Regency. It is hoped that this Community Service will be able to provide legal awareness about how to prevent and take action against domestic violence. The methods used in this activity are counseling, lectures, and discussions. The analysis technique used is interviews. The results of the research show that one of the effective efforts to increase public knowledge and awareness is legal counseling carried out in front of the Sampuabalo Village Community the participants present were predominantly married people and were very enthusiastic the community hoped that more legal counseling would be needed so that they could increase their knowledge about the law.

Abstract

Various acts of persecution that often occur in Baubau City, especially serious persecution, are a big task for law enforcement officials of Baubau Police in overcoming them. the problem that will be used as a source of reference to be researched is how to overcome the crime of serious persecution by Baubau Police satreskrim and its inhibiting factors. This type of research is normative empirical with primary and secondary data types and will then be analysed using descriptive qualitative. based on the results of the study it was found that the handling of cases experienced fluctuations in the number where there was a significant increase in the last year. The conclusion is that the process of overcoming crimes of serious maltreatment committed by the Baubau resort criminal police unit in the jurisdiction of the Baubau resort police must build a pattern of cooperation with other agencies in order to overcome the obstacles experienced in overcoming crimes of serious maltreatment influenced by the lack of personnel members of the Criminal Investigation Unit infrastructure facilities, and community culture

Abstract

Rendahnya tingkat literasi hukum pidana masyarakat masih menjadi persoalan serius di tengah pesatnya perkembangan teknologi digital. Kondisi ini berdampak pada meningkatnya potensi pelanggaran hukum yang dilakukan akibat kurangnya pemahaman masyarakat terhadap norma, hak, kewajiban, serta konsekuensi hukum pidana. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi hukum masyarakat melalui edukasi hukum pidana berbasis digital sebagai strategi pembelajaran yang adaptif dan efektif. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan menggunakan pendekatan edukatif dan partisipatif dengan memanfaatkan berbagai media digital, seperti materi visual, video edukasi, dan diskusi interaktif secara daring. Sasaran kegiatan adalah masyarakat umum dengan latar belakang pendidikan dan tingkat pemahaman hukum yang beragam. Evaluasi kegiatan dilakukan melalui pemberian pre-test dan post-test serta kuesioner untuk mengukur peningkatan pemahaman dan kesadaran hukum peserta. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada pemahaman peserta terhadap konsep dasar hukum pidana, termasuk jenis tindak pidana, hak dan kewajiban hukum, serta dampak hukum dari pelanggaran pidana. Selain itu, pemanfaatan media digital terbukti meningkatkan partisipasi, minat belajar, dan efektivitas penyampaian materi hukum. Kegiatan ini menyimpulkan bahwa edukasi hukum pidana berbasis digital merupakan strategi yang efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi hukum masyarakat dan memiliki potensi untuk dikembangkan secara berkelanjutan serta direplikasi pada komunitas lain.

Abstract

In an increasingly digitally connected world, it is imperative to provide education on network and information technology crime trends. Where networks and information technology are an integral part of everyday life. Nevertheless, a small number of individuals are vulnerable to cybercrime, including data theft, phishing emails, and computer viruses, as a result of a lack of education and understanding of information technology trends. Therefore, it is imperative to have a comprehensive understanding of cybercrime threats, including phishing, scam/malware viruses, and Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks on a network. This will increase awareness and security in the use of information technology in the community, especially among students of SMA Negeri 2 Baubau, Southeast Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. The method used to implement abdimas for students of SMA Negeri 2 Baubau. This method consists of four stages: Laying the groundwork, planning, information gathering/analysis, and following up on findings The results of the students' CPD activities showed an increased awareness and understanding of cyber threats and how to protect themselves online. Indicators of success are changes in student behavior in safer internet use, such as changing passwords regularly and being more careful in sharing personal information online. It is hoped that this education on crime trends in the field of information technology and networking can be useful in developing self-awareness, self-protection, and mitigating the impact of cybercrime attacks in the digital realm.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to facilitate a comprehensive understanding of the legal protection of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) among Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Balo Bone Village. This socialization was motivated by the lack of awareness and understanding of MSME actors of the importance of IPR protection in protecting their products, trademarks, and innovations from the threat of infringement. The method used consisted of interactive counseling, group discussions, and simulations of IPR registration through official government platforms. The results of this activity show that participants' understanding of the concept of intellectual property rights (IPR), the benefits of legal protection, and the technical procedures associated with IPR registration has increased. The increase in participants' understanding of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) reached an average of 43%. Indicators of improvement include an understanding of the concept of IPR which increased by 30%, the benefits of IPR protection increased by 45%, and the technical procedures for IPR registration increased by 55%. Evaluation was carried out through pre-test, post-test, and interactive simulation. These results demonstrate the effectiveness of the socialization in increasing participants' awareness and understanding, supporting them to protect their innovations and business brands independently. It is expected that this activity will enable MSMEs in Balo Bone Village to effectively utilize intellectual property rights (IPR) protection to ensure the sustainability and competitiveness of their enterprises in local and global markets.

Abstract

Abstrak Penyampaian informasi, komunikasi dan/atau data secara elektronik, khususnya dalam hal pembuktian dan hal yang terkait dengan perbuatan hukum yang dilaksanakan melalui sistem elektronik. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian normatif yuridis, yang dilakukan penelitian di wilayah hukum kota Baubau tepatnya di Pengadilan Negeri Baubau. Pertimbangan penulis memilih lokasi penelitian tersebut, karena terdapat cukup data yang relevan tentang Penerapan hukum terhadap pelaku tindak pidana Penyebar Kebencian SARA di Jejaring Sosial (Studi Putusan No. 38/Pid.Sus/2018/PN Bau). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Hate Speech (Ucapan Penghinaan/ atau kebencian) dapat diancam dengan Undang-Undang No.1 Tahun 1964 Tentang Kitab Undang-Undang Hukum Pidana, dalam Pasal 156 KUHP, Pasal 310 KUHP, Pasal 311 KUHP, Undang-undang No.40 Tahun 2008 Tentang Penghapusan Diskriminasi Ras dan Etnis dalam Pasal 16, Undang-undang No.7 Tahun 2012 Tentang Penanganan konflik sosial, Peraturan Kapolri Nomor 8 Tahun 2013 Tentang Teknis Penanganan Konflik Sosial, dan Undang-undang no 11 tahun 2018 tentang Informasi dan transaksi eloktronik Pasal 28 ayat (1) dan (2) dan Pasal 45 ayat (2). Kata Kunci: Sanksi Pidana, Hate Speech, Media Sosial Abstract Submission of information, communication and/or data electronically, especially in terms of evidence and matters related to legal actions carried out through the electronic system. This study uses a normative juridical research, which was conducted in the jurisdiction of the city of Baubau, precisely at the Baubau District Court. The author's consideration in choosing the research location, because there is sufficient relevant data on the application of the law to the perpetrators of the crime of Spreading SARA Hate in Social Networks (Study of Decision No. 38/Pid.Sus/2018/PN Bau). The results of the study show that Hate Speech can be threatened with Law No.1 of 1964 concerning the Criminal Code, in Article 156 of the Criminal Code, Article 310 of the Criminal Code, Article 311 of the Criminal Code, Law No. 40 of 2008 concerning the Elimination of Racial and Ethnic Discrimination in Article 16, Law No. 7 of 2012 concerning Handling of Social Conflicts, Regulation of the National Police Chief Number 8 of 2013 concerning Technical Handling of Social Conflicts, and Law No. 11 of 2018 concerning Information and Transactions electronics Article 28 paragraph (1) and (2) and Article 45 paragraph (2).
