The subjects who have a low level of physical activity are as many as 33.67%, moderate physical activity 40.56%, and high physical activity 25.77%. Most of the subjects had a normal stress level of 68.62%. By the same token, the level of anxiety, the average has a normal anxiety level of 51.28%. The subjects with high levels of physical activity had lower levels of stress and anxiety, and the subjects with screen time duration of ≥ 4 hours had more severe levels of stress and anxiety. Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a chronic condition that occurs when there is an increase in glucose levels in the blood because the body cannot produce insulin or use insulin effectively. Insulin is an important hormone produced in the body's pancreatic gland, which transports glucose from the bloodstream into the body's cells where the glucose is converted into energy. This study uses a comparative study with experimental method to find out the comparison results of the treatment given to samples from aerobic exercise intervention treatment with resistance exercise, The first group will do Aerobic Endurance Exercise by walking for 20 minutes. While the second group will do Resistance Exercise by doing strength training or resistance training for 20 minutes, rest time is 15 seconds and the movement is done as many as 2 sets and 10 repetitions. Subject characteristics based on average age (61.58 ± 6.50), body weight (71.86 ± 9.76), body height (157.27 ± 8.99), and BMI of elderly people suffering from diabetes mellitus falls into the obese category with a value of (27.71 ± 4.23). The value of aerobic before exercise is (26.41 ± 33.67) after exercise it decrease (11.74 ± 10.28), resistance exercise before exercise is (31.74 ± 54.10) after exercise it decrease (9.33 ± 23.46). In this study it can be concluded that aerobic endurance and resistance exercise can reduce the increase in blood sugar in the elderly, but when compared to the two exercises, resistance exercise suppresses the increase in blood sugar more, of course with the appropriate intensity.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of recreational sports interventions in addressing mental health issues among adolescents serving sentences in Juvenile Correctional Facilities (LPKA). Adolescents in prison tend to experience significant emotional stress, which can potentially worsen their mental health conditions. Sports are considered a practical and effective intervention method as they can trigger the release of serotonin and endorphins, hormones that play a role in improving mood. The research sample consisted of 20 male juvenile inmates at LPKA Bandung, aged 15-19 years, who participated in an eight-week recreational sports program. Measurements were conducted using the DASS-42 questionnaire to evaluate levels of anxiety, stress, and depression. The analysis results showed that the sports intervention significantly reduced anxiety (p-value = 0.000) but did not have a significant effect on stress and depression (p-value > 0.05). These findings suggest that recreational sports can be an effective intervention for reducing anxiety among adolescents in correctional settings; however, additional approaches are needed to address stress and depression. This study makes an important contribution to the development of sports-based rehabilitation programs in correctional facilities.

Abstract

Background: In weight-class sports like weightlifting, dietary habits and nutrition knowledge are critical to optimizing body composition and performance. Despite the importance of these factors, limited research has explored the nutritional behaviors and knowledge of elite Indonesian weightlifters. This study addresses that gap by evaluating both dimensions in a professional athletic context. Research Objectives: This study aims to examine the levels of nutritional knowledge and dietary intake among Indonesian professional weightlifters, with the goal of providing recommendations to enhance Indonesia's achievements in the sport. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted involving 24 national-level Indonesian weightlifters with at least four years of competitive experience. Participants completed a validated nutrition knowledge questionnaire and a 7-day dietary recall. Data were analyzed using SPSS to determine average intake values and knowledge scores. Findings/Results: Findings revealed that none of the athletes met the recommended dietary intake across all major nutrient categories. Protein intake was the closest to adequacy, while energy, carbohydrate, calcium, and fiber intake were below standard recommendations. Additionally, athletes showed low levels of nutritional knowledge in all assessed areas. Conclusion: Both nutritional knowledge and dietary intake among Indonesian professional weightlifters are inadequate and may hinder optimal performance and recovery. This highlights the urgent need for targeted nutrition education and individualized dietary planning. Future interventions should also consider psychosocial and environmental factors such as food access, cultural influences, time constraints, and social support to ensure sustainable improvements in athletes’ eating behaviors.
