Abstract

The present study discusses the relatively low literacy skills and reading interest of students in children's fashion lectures. The learning process is not yet fully optimal because the level of understanding and psychomotor abilities of students still vary. The research purpose is to produce comic-based teaching materials for students of the Fashion Education study program to produce products that can be used by students as independent learning resources. The development model used in designing comic-based children's fashion teaching materials is the 4-D model consisting of four stages, namely 1) Define (definition), 2) Design (design), 3) Tell (development), and 4) Disseminate (dissemination). Data collection was carried out using a validation questionnaire from material and media experts. Data analysis techniques used include qualitative data analysis with descriptive methods and quantitative data analysis with validity and feasibility tests. The results of the validity test conducted by material experts produced a score of 91.5% in the very valid category. The results of the media expert validation obtained 94.46% in the very valid category. The practicality test obtained a score of 80%, included in the practical category and the effectiveness test produced a score of 80 in the Good category. Thus, it can be concluded that comic-based teaching materials are suitable for use in children's fashion learning. This product has the potential to be a source of independent learning that supports increasing literacy and reading interest in children's fashion lectures.

Abstract

Many students experience the difficulty of applying the right variations of embroidery to clothing. The available learning resources only contain material on clothing variations without providing appropriate examples for applying embroidery variations to clothing. Hence, this research aims to develop an electronic book on the application of embroidery variations to clothing. The research is Research and Development (R&D) research. The development model used is the Brog and gall model. Validation of teaching materials is carried out by material experts and media experts. The validation results from material experts indicates 92.06% in the very feasible category. The validation results from media experts reveals an average of 94.43%, which was very feasible. Small group trials indicates an average result of 82.87% in the very feasible category. Large group trials reveals an average score of 87.85% in the very feasible category. Thus, it can be concluded that the e-book on embroidery variations is very suitable for use in basic embroidery technique courses. The development of an electronic book on embroidery variations can facilitate the delivery of practical material in applying embroidery variations on clothing so as to increase students' understanding of learning basic embroidery techniques.

Abstract

Learning in the fashion atelier business requires students to integrate competencies in business management, customer service, and professional sewing techniques. However, limited class time and the lack of interactive media often hinder students’ ability to learn independently and apply these skills effectively. This study developed a hypercontent-based e-module integrated with job sheets to enhance independent learning in the Fashion Atelier Business course. The research employed the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate) as a systematic development framework. Validation results showed high feasibility: material experts = 89% and media experts = 93%, both categorized as “very good.” User trials yielded positive responses, with scores of 88.5%, 91.2%, and 94.6% for small, medium, and large groups, respectively. These results indicate that the e-module is valid, practical, and effective for vocational learning. The novelty of this study lies in the integration of hypercontent elements with practical job sheets, offering an interactive and self-paced digital learning experience that bridges theory and practice. This innovation supports students’ entrepreneurial readiness and aligns vocational education with Industry 4.0 learning needs, providing a model for technology-enhanced fashion education.

Abstract

The lack of availability of teaching materials on basic embroidery techniques means students learn embroidery by relying on examples from previous assignments and searching for assignments on YouTube. Even though this example does not contain detailed steps, students still experience difficulties in understanding embroidery techniques, the art of arranging thread, adjusting and placing the right colors for good, embroidered decoration. Therefore, there is a need for tutorial-based textbooks on learning basic embroidery techniques. The aim of the research is to produce a tutorial-based textbook on basic embroidery techniques courses in the fashion design education study program at Medan State University. The development model uses the ADDIE model. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire and is analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis. Validation of teaching materials is carried out by material experts and media experts. The validity test of material experts obtained 83.9% and media experts obtained 81.73% in the good category. The results of small group trials obtained 81.8%, medium scale trials obtained 82.87% and large group trials obtained 85.3%. The results of the research show that tutorial-based teaching materials are suitable for use in learning basic embroidery techniques courses. It is hoped that this tutorial-based teaching material can help teachers convey practical material in detail and make it easier for students to understand basic embroidery techniques independently.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ; (1) motivasi belajar siswa; (2) kepercayaan diri siswa; (3) hasil belajar PKL (praktik kerja lapangan); (4) hubungan motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar PKL (praktik kerja lapangan); (5) hubungan kepercayaan diri dengan hasil belajar PKL (praktik kerja lapangan); (6) hubungan motivasi belajar dan kepercayaan diri dengan hasil belajar PKL (praktik kerja lapangan). Desain penelitian adalah deskriptif korelasional. Lokasi penelitian di SMK Negeri 10 Medan. Pengambilan sampel digunakan teknik Total Sampling, sehingga yang menjadi sampel penelitian seluruh kelas XI Boga dengan jumlah 42 orang. Data motivasi belajar dan kepercayaan diri dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan angket sedangkan data hasil belajar PKL (praktik kerja lapangan) dengan dokumentasi nilai . Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif data, uji kecenderungan, uji persyaratan analisis dengan uji normalitas, uji lineritas dan keberartian persamaan regresi ganda, uji hipotesis dengan uji korelasi product moment, uji parsial dan uji korelasi ganda. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kecenderungan variabel motivasi belajar siswa termasuk kategori cenderung cukup sebesar 100 persen, kepercayaan diri cenderung cukup yaitu sebanyak 88,09 persen dan hasil belajar PKL (praktik kerja lapangan) cenderung tinggi dengan persentasi sebesar 100 persen. Hasil analisis normalitas dengan dk=5 pada ketiga variabel adalah normal untuk motivasi belajar (Xhitung=8,84<Xtabel= 11,07), kepercayaan diri (Xhitung= 10,98<Xtabel= 11,07), dan hasil belajar PKL (praktik kerja lapangan) (Xhitung=6,75<Xtabel= 11,07). Hasil analisis data korelasi product moment menunjukan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar PKL (praktik kerja lapangan) dengan nilai rhitung > rtabel (0,81>0,304), artinya semakin tinggi motivasi belajar siswa maka semakin tinggi hasil belajar PKL (praktik kerja lapangan). Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kepercayaan diri dengan hasil belajar PKL (praktik kerja lapangan) dengan nilai rhitung > rtabel (0,94>0,304), artinya semakin tinggi kepercayaan diri maka semakin tinggi hasil belajar PKL (praktik kerja lapangan). Hasil analisis korelasi ganda terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara motivasi belajar dan kepercayaan diri dengan hasil belajar PKL (praktik kerja lapangan) dengan nilai Fhitung > F­tabel (3,44>3,28), artinya semakin tinggi motivasi belajar dan kepercayaan diri siswa, maka semakin tinggi hasil belajar PKL (praktik kerja lapangan).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan: (1) Untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Jigsaw pada mata pelajaran Pengetahuan Bahan Makanan ; (2) Untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan model Pembelajaran Ekspository pada mata pelajaran Pengetahuan Bahan Makanan; (3) Pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Jigsaw terhadap hasil belajar Pengetahuan Bahan Makanan. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMK Putra Anda Binjai yang berjumlah 60 siswa. Sampel penelitan diambil dengan teknik total sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes untuk hasil belajar pengetahuan bahan Makanan. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah uji normalitas, uji homogenitas dan uji hipotesis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa pada kelas eksperimen dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw diperoleh rata-rata sebesar 76,60 dan standar deviasi 7,27 dengan tingkat kecenderungan termasuk kategori tinggi sebesar 56,7 %, sedangkan dikelas kontrol dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Ekspositori diperoleh nilai rata-rata 60,30 dengan standar deviasi 10,65 dengan tingkat kecenderungan hasil belajar pengetahuan bahan makanan cenderung cukup sebesar 70,0%. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh t hitung > t tabel (6,989 > 1,671). Terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan pada model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw terhadap hasil belajar Pengetahuan Bahan Makanan siswa SMK. Hal ini berarti model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada pelajaran Pengetahuan Bahan Makanan

Abstract

Kebaya merupakan busana nasional wanita Indonesia yang mencerminkan keanggunan, keindahan, dan identitas budaya bangsa yang memiliki nilai estetika tinggi. Seiring meningkatnya permintaan kebaya dengan desain modern, kreatif, dan inovatif, peluang usaha penyewaan busana menjadi semakin menjanjikan di tengah pesatnya perkembangan industri mode dan ekonomi kreatif. Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan, kreativitas, produktivitas, dan daya saing mitra NF Gallery dalam mengembangkan berbagai varian produk kebaya berbasis rental busana yang memiliki nilai jual tinggi. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi penyuluhan, pelatihan teknis, pendampingan intensif, serta evaluasi hasil kegiatan secara sistematis dan terukur. Materi pelatihan mencakup pengembangan desain kebaya, pembuatan pola, teknik pemotongan dan penjahitan, proses finishing, quality control, serta strategi pemasaran digital melalui platform media sosial. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan mitra dari 51,5% menjadi 82% setelah pelatihan. Program ini berhasil meningkatkan kapasitas teknis, kreativitas, profesionalisme, serta kemandirian mitra dalam mengembangkan usaha kebaya berbasis rental busana yang inovatif, adaptif, dan berkelanjutan.
