Abstract

Abstract

Unsafe actions are dangerous behaviors that can cause work accidents, resulting in injury or death. Warehouses are high-risk areas for such incidents due to the presence of unsafe actions during work processes. This study aims to explore the relationship between knowledge, supervision, and work fatigue with unsafe actions among warehouse workers at PT Cipta Krida Bahari Samarinda. This quantitative study employs a cross-sectional design, with a sample size of 50 workers using the total sampling technique. The independent variables are knowledge, supervision, and work fatigue, while the dependent variable is unsafe action. Data analysis utilized univariate and bivariate (chi-square) methods. Results indicated that 54 percent of workers engaged in unsafe actions, 60 percent had good knowledge, 56 percent reported good workplace supervision, and 54 percent experienced fatigue. Bivariate analysis showed no significant relationship between knowledge (p=0.203) and work fatigue (p=0.168) with unsafe actions. However, a significant relationship was found between supervision (p=0.019) and unsafe actions. It is recommended that the company enhance supervision practices and enforce strict penalties for violations to minimize unsafe actions among workers.

Abstract

Abstract Background: Work fatigue is critical issue that needs to be addressed properly because it can lead to various problems such as loss of efficiency at work, decreased productivity and work capacity and has the potential to cause work accidents. The factors that cause fatigue vary widely, including awkward work postures, work periods, and hot work climates. Several cases of work accidents have occurred at PT X which are suspected to be due to work fatigue. This study aims to determine the relationship between work period, work posture and work climate with work fatigue and analyze the relationship with work accident history. Method: A quantitative cross-sectional design study was conducted on 67 respondents (total sampling). The measuring instruments used consisted of questionnaires and QUESTemp 36 Heat Stress Monitor. Data were analyzed using the Spearman Rank test. Result: A total 86.6% of participants experienced mild work fatigue and 41.8% of participants had experienced work accidents. Spearman Rank test shows work periods (p = 0.022), work postures (p = 0.021) were significantly related to work fatigue. Work climate (p = 0.139) was not related to work fatigue. Work fatigue (p=0.0004) is significantly related to work accident history. Conclusion: Work periods and posture were significantly related to work fatigue. Work fatigue was related to work accidents. Control efforts are needed to reduce/overcome work fatigue experienced by workers (such as provide training on proper work posture and reducing workload) so that it does not trigger work accidents work fatigue does not occur.

Abstract

Hospitals that have carried out unit cost calculations can find out how much they are spending, so that the hospital can know if waste occurs. This is because the costs incurred by one hospital will be different from those incurred by another hospital, even though the hospital is in the same type of hospital. Apart from that, the results of unit cost calculations can also be used as a basis for decision making to improve hospital quality and quality. The aim of this research is to calculate rational rates for types of surgery using the multiple distribution method, then compare them with hospital rates for general surgery rates at the Central Surgical Installation of Kudungga Sangatta Regional Hospital. This study is a comparative descriptive quantitative analytical study to compare the rational rates of types of operations (special, special, major, major, and medium cito operations) in the general surgery group during the period of 2023 with the rates of general surgery operations at the Central Surgery Installation of Kudungga Sangatta Regional Hospital with a sample population of all 340 patients using BPJS insurance who received general surgery operations. The results of the research show that the rational rates obtained for special CITO operations are IDR 14,094,633, special operations IDR 12,383,431, large CITO operations IDR 5,262,904, large operations IDR 6,775,203, and medium operations IDR 3,858,857. Rational rates are higher than hospital rates, except for major CITO surgery rates. Therefore, when determining hospital rates, it is necessary to consider unit cost analysis so that hospital operational costs can be efficiently spent.
