The researcher also presented research data related to learning that had occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic season. The data collection technique is done by documentation. Then the data analysis was done descriptively-analytically. Researchers generalized and critically analyzed the concept of Hasan Langgulung Islamic education from various primary and secondary literatures and then discussed the concept on the actualization of Islamic education during the Covid-19 pandemic season. The results of data analysis, in this case Hasan Langgulung's Islamic educational thought paradigm, were then concluded and became the results of research. The results of the study show that online learning that has occurred during the pandemic so far is still disoriented to the epistemology of Islamic education. Hasan Langgulung offers an epistemological paradigm of Islamic education, namely 1) teachers should formulate online learning aims and goals that are realistic and can be measured through indicators with specified timelines. Aims and learning goals are oriented to three aspects of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor; 2) choosing learning strategies to be more precise with guidance, counseling, and providing incidental student assistance; 3) the learning evaluation system must be realistic and measurable, all of which include cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects.

Abstract

Fatwas are a significant tool in Islamic jurisprudence, regulating human behaviour and shaping society's knowledge and interpretation. In an organization, fatwas have more binding power. However, in responding to it, each faces other societal structures. This research focuses on implementing a tarjih decision (putusan tarjih) by the Tarjih and Tajdid Council (Majelis Tarjih dan Tajdid - MTT) of Muhammadiyah regarding changes in the Fajr time. Using Max Weber's theory of Social Action, this study investigates how the Council's legal-rational authority impacts compliance among followers. The findings show that organisational structure and acceptance of MTT influence Muhammadiyah members' obedience to the fatwa as an authority according to the criteria of Islamic jurisprudence. This study adds to the scholarly understanding of religious authority in contemporary Islamic organizations by focusing on how fatwa-making and its implementation steps affect community behaviour and religious practice. Furthermore, it emphasizes the significance of contextualizing Islamic law in response to local social dynamics, laying the groundwork for future research on the relationship between religious edicts and societal norms in organisational settings.

Abstract

Prosocial behavior in early childhood plays an important role in fostering the ability to sharing, helping, cooperating, and well-being. However, there is limited understanding of how geographical and socio-cultural contexts influence the development of prosocial behavior. This study aims to examine and compare the prosocial development of preschool children living in coastal and highland regions, highlighting how geographical, cultural, and environmental differences may influence early social behavior. The research is driven by the need to better understand contextual factors that shape children's prosocial tendencies or behaviors such as sharing, helping, and cooperating, that are critical for healthy interpersonal relationships and emotional growth. A quantitative comparative approach was employed, using a descriptive method with a Mann–Whitney U statistical test to compare prosocial behavior among preschool children in coastal and highland regions. The findings indicate that children in both regions exhibit a range of prosocial behaviors; however, the frequency and nature of these behaviors differ. Coastal children were more likely to demonstrate spontaneous helping and group-oriented cooperation, possibly due to communal lifestyle practices, while highland children showed more empathy-based behaviors, shaped by strong familial interactions and close-knit community values. The study concludes that environmental context significantly contributes to the development of prosociality in early childhood, with each setting offering unique strengths. These findings underscore the importance of culturally responsive early childhood education that nurtures prosocial behavior in line with local values and social norms. This research contributes to the growing body of literature on sociocultural influences on child development and suggests future studies to explore prosocial behavior through a broader range of ecological and cultural lenses.
